261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 08, 2023, 01:20:37 PM
Newcastle need to learn how to play in Europe, I think they are sound in the English premier league but in Europe they are still trying to find their play.
Newcastle against Dortmund yesterday was a very poor performance from Newcastle especially in the first half, and Dortmund is not in the best form.
I think Newcastle were playing too safe and it worked against them, second half was a bit better but still it was poor compared to what they can do, they have now made it very difficult for themselves to qualify from the group.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: November 06, 2023, 05:53:50 PM
Benzema and Hamdallah must return to their best forms as soon as possible to help their club.
Don't expect so much from players like Kareem Benzema players like this has lost the hunger to win that's why they have chosen money over passion at this late stage of their footballing career, I actually love to see an unknown league grow but the way Saudi Arabia league is going about it they aren't looking at the long run, they need to work also on their academy to see that they don't have an improved league for few seasons but for a longer time.
263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 06, 2023, 05:46:24 PM
Newcastle United is playing good football both in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League, and if they continue like this they could make it to the top four in the Premier League because they can win big teams. Newcastle United was too strong for Arsenal, they could not allow Arsenal to penetrate them that much, and in the dying minutes, they snatched a win from Arsenal.
Newcastle United is the team that often gives a surprise for us. They could beat Arsenal although Arsenal is in a good form and they really expect to win the match to keep their hope of winning the EPL trophy. But Newcastle United won't let Arsenal steal points, they defeat Arsenal with a single goal made by Anthony Gordon. I think many people will assume Arsenal to beat Newcastle United. In fact Arsenal couldn't do much in the match against Newcastle United. They even only made 1 shot on target during the match.

It's high time we start giving Newcastle the respect they deserve, they have proven to be able to beat any team right now even if they aren't consistent with their form, but a team aside Manchester city I respect this season has to be Tottenham, they may not get the highest amount of goals but they know how to get the win. Tottenham Hotspur against Chelsea would be very exciting and I would be looking forward to it, my prediction is a win for Tottenham Hotspur.
264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using TV( GOTV, DSTV) monthly subscription money to invest in bitcoin on: November 06, 2023, 04:17:36 PM
I actually don't think you should be aggressive about your Bitcoin investment, Bitcoin isn't going anywhere, if you invest $5 a week or two weeks in Bitcoin consistently you can accumulate a good amount, don't let the coming Bitcoin halving pressure you into FOMO.

This is the second time I am seeing someone talking about how they want to deprive themselves of things.

Quote
  • I turned my apartment into a shared one, meaning I got a flatmate and used the money paid to buy more Bitcoins.
  • No more buying new clothes, shoes, phones, or electronic devices. No more eating out. I'll cook all my meals. The money saved will be used to buy more Bitcoins.
  • This month, I'm selling off my car and I'll start using the train for commuting to work or any other essential place. Therefore, unless it is absolutely necessary, my social life is going to suffer for a little while. This delay of gratification is worth it.
  • I didn't renew my gym membership. I purchased some dumbbells and barbells to start working out from home. The money supposed to be spent on the gym membership will be used to buy more Bitcoins.

There's a flip side to this. After the halving, my Bitcoin investments would have doubled. I plan to reward myself with the profit by:

- Visiting Mongolia, one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I've seen a lot of  documentaries about Mongolia on YouTube.

How do you plan to make the most of your Bitcoin investments before the halving in 6 months?

Investing this way can lead to panic and even depression if things does not go accordingly, does suffocate yourself just to squeeze out funds to invest in Bitcoin, you can invest with the little you have without it being a strain to your livelihood.
265  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Using the fuel subsidy money to invest in bitcoin for the country economy on: November 06, 2023, 02:48:33 PM
My people shey una see how the fuel subsidy removal has affected our economy. I keep asking my self what would have been the situation of the country economy if the president on his inaugural speech had said we are ending fuel subsidy and now we are using that same amount of money paid for subsidy and investing it on Bitcoin. And also made a bold declaration that the country has lifted all the ban placed on financial institutions facilitating cryptocurrency transactions and asked the central bank to unblock all accounts that has been blocked due to cryptocurrency transactions.
I think this would have strengthened our Naira against the USD.

I am a Bitcoin enthusiast but I believe if the president on his inauguration speech make a statement of removing subsidy and using the money to invest in Bitcoin would spark lots of controversy especially from those who aren't crypto-currency enthusiast, we have to understand that the country is ran by an elderly man and many people still running the country are elder citizens so they aren't familiar with Crypto-currency that aside if he goes on with it and there be a bear market the country would come for him, I think that move is a good one but would create lots of backlash.
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fund for Bitcoin promotion on: November 06, 2023, 01:31:22 PM
Directly advertise bitcoin is also currently not a necessity.
The best way to advertise Bitcoin is by incorporating it into your daily living, if you have goods or services you sell to people, accepting Bitcoin as a means of exchange is an amazing way to advertise Bitcoin also if you are a consumer of any goods and services opting to pay with Bitcoin is a unique way of promoting Bitcoin.
But most importantly telling people about the opportunities of Bitcoin not just the investment opportunity is a good way of not only leading people to Bitcoin but also it ensures they become enthusiast because many have sold of their Bitcoin during the dip and this has to do with how Bitcoin was introduced to them.
267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Oscar Duarte (December 2) on: November 06, 2023, 12:23:16 PM
Garcia like Tank Davis said has poor boxing technics and I have to agree with that, Garcia is almost like the popular YouTubers who are turning to be boxers the only difference is that Garcia has a very strong left hook aside that his boxing game is poor.

I don't know much about Oscar Duarte but I think he is also atmost an average boxer and Garcia even with his poor Technics should be able to put him away with a strong left hook that connects well.
268  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Your take on buying an expensive phone like iPhone 15 on: November 05, 2023, 07:58:53 PM
Well anyone wey suffer and struggle to make their money has the ultimate right to spend it how they choose to.
I actually don't see any problem with owning an iPhone 15 pro max if you have the ability to buy it.
And don't forget that the iPhone 15 pro max has amazing properties that people can use to boost their business especially for video maker and photographers so it's actually not wasteful, the problem I have is for those people who save up money to buy the phone.

You talked about creating a balance between Saving and funding your normal life well I think you don't know what that statement is because this list is like choking your self to save in Bitcoin, just because of the bull run! With this list you made you are probably the type that may go into depression if the bull run doesn't come after the Bitcoin halving.
I am in no place to tell you what to do but I think all that is too Much you putting your life at risk especially if you don't know who your new flat mate is well, and having your personal car can help you get to places quicker and fast making life easier and helping you to focus more energy into being profitable, one thing I would say is never incest aggressively in anything.
270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 05, 2023, 05:45:09 PM
Aside the Manchester Derby right now the most one sided derby has to be the German classico between Bayern Munich and Dortmund, I think I would love to see more competition and right now only RB Leipzig can give Bayern Munich the tough time.
Harry Kane is cruising in the German league and yesterday he scored his third hattrick in the league and we are still in the first half of the season I think he would be in contention for the highest goal scorer in Europe, great match from Bayern Munich they dominated and deserve the win.

272  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Invest with caution - Don’t be blinded by the speculation of incoming bull run on: November 04, 2023, 09:01:01 PM
Before investing in new projects or any kind of alt they should carryout proper research so they don’t invest in scam projects.
New members are unable the o properly vet a crypto project and will most times still fall victim even if they do proper research on it.
My advice to them will be to stick to Bitcoin, invest sparingly and increase your investments as I out gain more knowledge. At this point they can choose to expand to altcoins or not.
Well the sad story is that many newbies entering into Crypto-currency had the wrong orientation and that is investing in Crypto is always profitable, this has made many newbie lose focus the sense of security and they mostly get scammed regardless of if they get involved in Bitcoin or altcoins.
There are many scammers even in Bitcoin using avenues like like Ponzi, faucet, airdrops, giveaways, Bitcoin telegram (social media) groups
273  Economy / Economics / Re: AI will put an end to work, says Elon Musk on: November 04, 2023, 07:44:55 PM
Elon Musk is absolutely right artificial intelligence would put many out of work and using an example That I am currently witnessing in my country, formerly photographers use to make it big especially during celebrations like weddings and birthdays for example but now people are moving towards using artificial intelligence generated pictures this puts the photographers out of business, this is just an example of how artificial intelligence is taking over people's job with time it would be worse .
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 04, 2023, 07:29:12 PM
Arsenal looking like they would drop precious point this weekend because as it stands Newcastle is up by one goal against them, after Manchester city destroyed Bournemouth today Arsenal should have aimed at winning this game to keep the pursuit on. They premier league title race is best achieved by winning this sort of game.
Not a good start from Newcastle but after a while they began to add pressure on Arsenal, I would say the Newcastle lead is well deserved as so far they have been the best team in the game.
275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if the second Satoshi appears? on: November 04, 2023, 06:49:54 PM
surely one day they will just disappear and always remember there will be no next bitcoin, bitcoin will not be replaced.
I have to disagree with you as long as investors exist in Crypto-currency then altcoins would never disappear it's the best alternative especially for those investors would don't have the financial capacity to purchase Bitcoin in large quantities also those who have interest in short term pump and dump coins, Crypto-currency is big and everyone has their own point of interest so I think in the future we may not see some certain altcoins (probably went to the ground and never rose) but there would be more altcoins in future that would replace them.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 04, 2023, 05:46:51 PM
Again Manchester city showed there class, one thing we can take home from today's Manchester city game is that anyone can score so planing to hold a particular player in their team may prove fruitless, they performed well today and Bournemouth was not match for Manchester city.

It's Sad that Erling Haaland went out for injury what seem to be a fatal tear on his lap, this has not been his best performance compared to how he played last season hopefully this injury won't take him out for long

278  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin, when to buy on: November 03, 2023, 07:55:02 PM
I don’t think it is only for people but smaller satoshi but can also be use by even Those that a lot of money available to buy, this will help them to minimize loss and also maximize profits. Going in all at once even when the price is at his low is not that great than buying at different price ranges with the DCA method.
Don't get me wrong mate but you have made a very good advice here but I think this would apply better when talking about altcoin, the reason why I haven't gotten my desired amount of Bitcoin yet is about I don't have the financial capacity and not that i have any doubt about Bitcoin, accumulating Bitcoin should not only be seen as an investment plan but as a channel to breaking the barriers and challenges of the traditional financial system.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 03, 2023, 06:41:12 PM
Guys lets talk about the officiating of the English premier league matches so far this season and after Anthony Taylor was demoted to the EFL championship it's time to talk about this pressing matter.

When. The VAR video assistant referee came into use many of us thought this would bring an end to the poor officiating due to incompetence or unfortunate incidence but we have watched matches that even with the video assistant referee the officiating was poor and has cost some teams very important points, I think this season Anthony Taylor has been very poor and wondering why the English premier league officiating bodies took this long to act, one of my favorite referees so far has to be Michael Oliver .
280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigerians spend $975m daily on online betting on: November 02, 2023, 08:46:53 PM

But, I think we need to know how much betting sites are paying out daily too, so we can make comparison.  Grin
Thought same thing too, I think the statistics won't be complete if we don't see the amount of payout to gamblers and stackers, I don't think Nigerians are dump and keep giving away their money without any returns.
Gambling is striving in Nigerian and my opinion on the major reason for that is joblessness the Nigerian youth especially has lots of time on their hand doing nothing and spend more thing gambling even though they don't have means to fund the gambling lifestyle. Although I don't have anything against gambling but gambling irresponsible is where I draw the line.
