261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the game 'Fortune Tiger' or the little tiger game famous in your region? on: April 18, 2024, 10:48:56 PM
I heard that you have to play at the right times and influencers promote new platforms, as the previous ones stop paying and users have to migrate from platform to platform. I'm curious about how to get the hang of this game, but it's a game where you shouldn't be greedy, as it starts with paying and takes your money as your greed increases.
Stop paying and people having to migrate from one betting site or platform to another! That ain’t a good idea for a gambling industry. It almost sounds like a pyramid scheme where they just make enough money and boom, they are done and unto the next. It wouldn’t surprise me if it is the same people creating several platforms just to build trust after a failed attempt just to keep on milking the gambling population over there in Brazil.

Well, I don’t know the game and that makes it a not very popular game in my place but, I recently started seeing such publicity about the Plinko game in my nation. It’s way popular but, haven’t got it heard of it having payment issues.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: April 18, 2024, 10:24:13 PM
The EPL teams are getting eliminated out of international competitions by the day. Yesterday it was Arsenal and Manchester City out of the UCL, today it’s West Ham United and Liverpool out of the Europa by Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen. What’s become of EPL teams in internal competitions.

West Ham weren’t so good today, they didn’t do much to be more offensive and even so, they let loose some unbelievable chances like the ball that was sent flying by the eventually equalizing goal scorer for Bayer Leverkusen, that was a terrible chance to have been given away and he couldn’t take it but, still came back for a redemption mood and got his goal eventually.

HALA MADRID

HALA MADRID!

Erling Haaland? We do not fear! Kevin De Bruyne?  Erling Haaland alongside Jack Grealish was totally useless tonight for Manchester City, though they pressured the fuck outta Real Madrid, but still not enough to make the wins.
Pardon me if I ask you to take KDB out of that list of useless players, he pushed the game into extra time although, he missed such great opportunities too. Opportunities that you would have wished came to him, it did and he sent it flying. Like, it was unbelievable and even still, I don’t wish to see him for a useless player.
Foden might just be the best at goal scoring for Manchester City in recent times but even him too missed a leg at what could have easily created a goal for Manchester City.

Real Madrid got Manchester City just where they would have wanted them, in the penalties. I think they realize me that late on in the game and went ahead to defend deep because, winning Manchester City on the field of play wasn’t looking any more realistic.

I’ve got to note the courage and quality of Ederson though, coming through for that last kick and the way he executed it was just so much for a goalkeeper. Rudiger came for a redemption kick and he did roll Real Madrid into the semi final to face off Bayern Munich.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 17, 2024, 09:31:06 PM
I am saddened by Arsenal's elimination. Arsenal played well in the first half, Bayern Munich played well in the second half and they scored and won.
Bayern Munich will now wait for its opponent to be determined.

M.City - Real Madrid game went to extra time, let's see which team will advance to the semi-finals. I hope Real Madrid wins the game and advances to the semi-finals.
It was a close one for Arsenal, it really was. They gave Bayern Munich and their fans such a show but, one thing I could agree on thigh was the fact that, Bayern was very much deserving of this win. They were the better side from my view point, put Arsenal under so much pressure and what a beautifully worked goal that was from Bayern Munich. Arsenal was clearly caught off guard else, I don’t see how you would let such huge space within your defense, giving Kimmich a lot of room to run in, have that clear view of where to put the ball and he heads it straight in. It shouldn’t have been the case.
White had the last chance to have brought the game to a draw with that quick play from Saka but, he just didn’t come to the right decision. I think he should have taken that in a flash.
265  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Davido narrative on: April 17, 2024, 04:07:07 PM
I clearly don’t understand the purpose of this post. Are you for real right now!

I may have to remind you that, though this might be home, it doesn’t exists in a vacuum. It exists on a cryptocurrency platform where we wish to engage in discussions that are crypto-related, policies in the nation that affects are cryptocurrency participation, updates on crypto related developments in the nation as well as some local news that doesn’t seat well or seats well with the general public.
This isn’t social media that you just come up with anything and paste for the group to have a voice over. This is Bitcointalk my country man.

If you continue with this, you’re sure not going to get anywhere with it. It’s your second post and I see that, if you ain’t ready or don’t know what kind of post that might be deemed fit for the forum yet, rather than posting just whatever you feel you could write, do more of reading. There is a directive in reading from both local in foreign nationals on the forum.

Leave the Davido this, Wizkid that and Burnaboy then for social media. Be more crypto-centric and raise major Nigerian concerns here!
266  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Always do your own research (DYR) on: April 17, 2024, 03:55:17 PM
No reason I wouldn’t blame the crypto newbie though; you never can tell what he’s been told or in what context the crypto idea was been sold to him or her. Something you can tell for sure is that, he or she doesn’t know how the crypto market works, didn’t play by the rules of investing only with spare funds (funds you can afford to lose) and he or she really is in crypto for the profit and have no room for losses.

Once you are about this perspectives to the cryptocurrency industry, you could easily be swept away by your ideas of making profits. I’m every business, there is a profit and loss situation.

Meanwhile, this investor haven’t lost nothing. Just a depreciation in the value of his or her asset which is normal due to volatility and could always change in his or her favor. The more reason why he or she should do nothing and just hodl.

the more reason why DYOR is very important and even with that, always speak to new investors on the possibility of loosing to the market when they sell at a low and the importance of hodling.
267  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I really hold onto my bitcoins in the future? on: April 17, 2024, 03:45:01 PM
... I don't know what to do now. Now the bitcoin market has increased a lot, should I sell my bitcoins? I will use it in a small business. Should I be given more time for the job? I have to take a decision in the next two months. Experienced members of the forum give me some advice what should I do.
i give advice as a friend, improve your income first, then you can invest in bitcoin with peace of mind.
It’s the first line to safety and having a peaceful investment and hodling strategy in this highly volatile space.

Most people come to Bitcoin with the sole idea of making money. They often take to the idea that their big bag would spawn from here and while that might be possible, it is still advised that you invest in Bitcoin with your spare money. That spare money have got to come from somewhere, some source that isn’t Bitcoin. This stresses the importance of having a some worth stable source of income that could fuel your Bitcoin investment.

It’s also the one means you could stay in the game longer and not be shaking by the various societal ills to the Bitcoin initiative and the troubles you would face as a person while doing your hodling.
268  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You will lose more if you DCA without knowledge on: April 17, 2024, 03:40:04 PM
What I have noticed with my bitcoin holding is that, I have continued to lose more, each time i try to take advantage of the price to profits, in form of DCA approach.
I can understand your view point given that, this post is just a week in and the price of Bitcoin have lately been heading towards the bears. I was frankly surprised how far it’s gone when I looked at the charts today but, that’s not all that is to say about the DCA strategy. If you tend to look at what the price of the coin is doing in the market before you take a buy, you’re not doing the dollar cost averaging no more.
You’re simply looking to buy low and sell high, opportunity cost and that’s not DCA.

DCA does more of looking at what funds you’ve got to invest and don’t care much about the price. Also, you don’t lose if you haven’t sold. That’s how hodling works! You only lose after you must have sold at a low after buying high.

That’s why, 1BTC = 1BTC. You’ve still got your Bitcoin and all you need to do is wait for the price to appreciate in a way that, it brings you into profit before you think of selling should you even sell at all.
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling excites you ? on: April 16, 2024, 10:50:59 PM
If am excited by gambling, well, that depends on if am winning. When my prediction does play out, it’s not just about the win but, it comes with some pride and confidence in my predictions as well. When I loss, I just learn to accept it to be what could have been all along.

Don't get me wrong, I want to win when I play, everyone does. It's just not a big problem for me when I don't win and lose many of my bets. And that is so not because I'm rich(actually far from that), but because I'm trying to stake not more than I can afford to lose. Regarding 90%, I told you, I think it's more like 100%, but the vast majority of those people still gamble for fun, not to earn money from gambling.
That’s how you get yourself into a more winning mindset when you gamble. You first, having to learn to accept the possibility of a loss and you just might not be scared to go in some daring predictions and wouldn’t border much about looking up prediction sites. I think those who do this are those that can’t really accept loosing but in gambling, loosing is more likely than wins.
270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do some people hide to gamble on: April 16, 2024, 10:17:22 PM
I would consider hiding to gamble to be more probable when it is an illegal practice (illegal gambling) but, when gamblers do gamble in hiding just because, they are more concerned about people’s validation, I just feel you shouldn’t be gambling, you ain’t matured enough to gamble. Gambling is only for the truly matured persons.

I get it that society and even religion have some stands about this to have prompt this behavior and even someone with a history of gambling loses might want to gamble in hiding but, it all goes down to, not being self sufficient and decisive and as such, you don’t have a place in gambling.
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 16, 2024, 10:05:00 PM
Everton is an average or less of average team that anyone can trash and I don't think the performance is enough to justify Chelsea to beat Manchester City. They might have played well when they met in the Premier League but this is FA Cup we are taking about here, it's going to be a battle of the bad land, expect Manchester City to drag them to floor this time around because they need the treble again.
Everton might be an average team but, they don’t often make an easy to beat team. Chelsea might have got the best of them yesterday but, that’s as far as it gets and I don’t think it makes Chelsea probable enough to match Manchester City’s quality. Let’s not soon forget how inconsistent Chelsea have been, winning a game and they going about to loss or draw several others. Also, playing the FA cup presents a different kind of challenge which I don’t think Chelsea is well equipped for except, they would be hoping on fatigue to get the better of Manchester.
I hope to see Chelsea being more attacking in that fixture else, Manchester City would run them down the hill.
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 16, 2024, 09:38:55 PM
No, I don't think so. Barcelona is trying to play with the same way, Xavi only changed some players to deal with losing 1 defender. There was nothing wrong with the decision made by Xavi. But Luis Enrique knows well Barcelona game, he ordered his players to focus more on attacking. Unfortunately, losing 1 player made it very difficult for Barcelona. That condition made Barcelona players panic and no idea to avoid the conceded goals.
It’s what any manager would do when you’re at disadvantage, playing from a loosing side and on aggregate, you’re just a leg out of the UCL. You go for the attack, be more offensive and see how it plays out. The best thing to have happened to PSG tonight was that, Barcelona sustained an early red card, at least from the first half to reduce Barcelona to a 10 man side. A team already on the offensive is sure to make good use of that and PSG did.

Dortmund makes history for themselves, kicking Atletico Madrid from a historical spot of semi finals. It was a thrilling one for Dortmund, getting ahead with two goals only to be caught from an own goal and a Corea goal but, when you’ve got so much fire power on your side like Dortmund, you’ve just got to keep trying and go for the win. 2 goals in 2 minutes sealed it for them.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 15, 2024, 08:13:40 PM
Cole Palmer scored a hat trick and now Nicolas Jackson also added to the lead by scoring 1 goal. So currently Chelsea is leading 4-0. This was truly a very surprising match but in a positive way. Because I'm sure many people are betting on Chelsea in this match.
This is one game where Chelsea seems to be getting everything right. One thing to have helped them so far is the fact that, they are ready to go forward, being more offensive and the back line keeps their offside flanks in check. One thing they’ve not been so good at though is avoiding set piece. They’ve conceived far too many corners and from the looks of it, it comes with lots of danger as the Everton side happens to be at the end of most of it and have been very aggressively crowded around the goalkeeper.
It seems like a 3points for sure for the  Pochettino side but, it’s the second half and Everton isn’t a side that should be underestimated. They seem to be taking so many yellow cards though, that would influence their play somehow.

Making Salah the captain instead of Haaland has caused me to go down to the 5th place. From now on I don't think that I have any chance to become the champion. Developing the right strategy is going to be very important on last 5 game weeks. I think that especially double game weeks and boosts are going to be decisive.
At this point, am just looking at for a best means to let loose Salah although, my hunch tells me he could have something cooking in the few weeks after a terrible return but, perhaps after the DG. Salah has been performing way below average and I had the foresight about this to have released him of my captaincy and picked Cole Palmer. At the moment, he seems to be the magic for the GW haven’t scored a hat trick against Everton within the first half of the game. Am so thrilled with my choices this GW but, not without a couple of bad options in Son, Gabriel and Peps continued selection on resting Foden. It’s a good week nonetheless.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: April 13, 2024, 07:38:19 PM

Call me antiFPL but I don't always believe that the best point earners are the best players -- Haaland's the best finisher in the world on stats, but I would never have him on my team (if I count cost, and sustainability, he is a player you need to prop up with a team, rather than a piece of a puzzle).

Haaland since december:

- 6 goals against Luton
- 6 goals against other teams.

Nothing more to say.
I see this stats for Haaland and I could take a pipe at last season, how he was a best pick, talk of the season and some ratings with other stars in the likes of Ronaldo. I do hope he becomes consistent because this is far from it although, he some worth paid off today for those who had the asset on their team, a goal and an assist, a good week for Haaland. I had him off my team though and is still to see some major impact from Salah which have prompted that move.

Isak seems so in form lately, his been making the rounds for his team and it’s a good one having 2 goals from him today. Somehow, Pep would be Pep in not letting us make the most from Foden. Spurs assets were just a waste in this GW.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 13, 2024, 06:35:36 PM
Manchester United's game was less exciting and in this match Bournemouth appeared cooler than Manchester United.
I don’t know what you would have been expecting from Manchester United, they’ve always been a bad team with a bad performance and coming to the vitality to create anything spectacular is very much far from the picture. What they are getting is what they would have hoped for as a best option, a draw. I think the only time  Manchester United could try making something happen is when they play Chelsea which happens to be another bad team with the lack of consistency in the team and  Pochettino could do almost nothing to offset that.

Manchester City did themselves a great deal today, beating Luton town in a 5:1 goals. That gives them some goal differentials to measure up with Arsenal that would need to win at all cost come Sunday and Aston Villa is sure to make it worth a 90minutes play.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 13, 2024, 02:45:32 PM
Spurs had one of their worst defeat today since Ange Postecoglou took over management of the club. Nothing Spurs tried seemed to work and Postecoglou made some terrible substitute options. I mean, why taking Son and Maddison off? I get it with him having to bring on Johnson and Kulusevski but, rather than take out Son, these guys needed to be on field to find a rhythm and attempt a come back. It was so tiring to watch Spurs going on the offensive and each time, Newcastle wins the 50:50 ball challenge.
The Spurs defense was another place of error in the game, being caught off guard every time, leaving Vicario exposed and Newcastle United made good use of every one on one or free header advantage to count on goals. Spurs was just off today.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is gambling to you, a fanfare or potential financial havoc? on: April 13, 2024, 12:02:28 PM

Gambling as a pitfall trap
We all know how easy it is to get a habit out of gambling, that excessive dopamine would just make you going back for more untill your well out of control, the byproduct of gambling Is clearly a financial wreak and the idea of easy money or double your cash seems can lure even the most discipline into blindness and eventually a gambling addiction that would lead to indebtedness from chasing losses.
I think one of my earliest signs that could have got me trapped in gambling addiction and losses from a time I no longer recall accurately was the fact that, I approached gambling then with a mindset of making profit off it. I mean, I had heard the stories, success stories from few forks and decided to dip my hands in the purse and when I was met with few losses, i began chasing my losses and the. More losses until I realized, it’s not a game where I can win.

This called for a more different approach and you must be strong willed to persist in this industry. To this day I still gamble and I don’t see it for any thing bad or some place to be wreaked but, your will power and approach to the industry it what makes the difference. You don’t go about crossing lines that shouldn’t be crossed or play with the intention of winning over the house, that’s one means to lose.

Approach it with a free spirit and gamble with concrete awareness of your finance so you stick to plan.

Quote
How can one draw a line between having fun and getting addicted since they occurr in the same process?
I think everyone of us in this industry have got feelings. I’ll always say, when you feel the slight discomfort about what you’re doing, there you draw your limit and call it a day. Let’s your feelings or emotions about the activity tell you it’s time and you do good to follow it.
279  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC dip again? on: April 13, 2024, 11:15:12 AM
For those of you out there who are planning on buying more coins
like me when the market dips, have you guys set a target price where
you will buy?
It’s not a bad plan to have a target price to initiate a buy but, even in the event that there is a target price without an order being placed in the market to initiate a buy automatically at a predetermined price, most investors always have the mirage that price would dip even more when a target price is already reached , this leads to procrastination and eventually, you don’t get to buy.

This is where the DCA strategy comes in, a non respecter of any price but rather, a qualifier of what you e hit for a spare investment fund.

The price has not yet reached what is ideally the price I would want to
buy bitcoin in despite its recent decline and I am wondering if will
bitcoin still go down to at least $50k?
Should you be waiting on Bitcoin to dip at $50k, then you just might not be ready to buy Bitcoin in recent time or at all. I don’t see Bitcoin coming down to that price range any time soon. Best thing for you is to DCA otherwise, you would be missing a buy opportunity with a good price where you have it.
280  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fulfill your dreams from Bitcoin, on: April 13, 2024, 11:08:09 AM
I am very happy to fulfill my dream from Bitcoin. I will hold my current bitcoin holdings for the long term and I will continue to hold on a regular weekly or monthly basis using the DCA method. Everyone pray for me, that I can grow big like this and fulfill my dreams with Bitcoin like this, Thanks you...
It’s important to note that you didn’t have to withdraw all your hodlings as that would be a huge error on your part, even at the expense of fulfilling your dreams. Having to continue your hodling while fulfilling some of your cravings which would in turn serve other purposes to benefit you is one means to know how well you’re doing. There is always room for enjoyment of profit right, else, what’s the need of ever investing if you ain’t going to feel the impact of the time and resources put into an investment from time to time.

Looking at the images you’ve uploaded, seems like a gaming PC up there and it’s cool. Having those high speed processing:processor PCs. It might seem like a lot and it is a lot as you would find later use for it as time progresses. Good choice!
