261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selling NFTs...Where to start? on: March 12, 2024, 02:41:10 PM
For blockchain to use polygon is more preferable then for the marketplace have you check out Opensea.io or Playdapp.
Although I can't guarantee you of any trust since I have never used them before, I just made a quick search that is the first marketplace that was displayed for me, so maybe let those that are into NFT's sales confirm how trusted and reliable is that website before you trading over there for security purposes.
Hey mate!
You are promoting Bestchange and I believe you received Bestchange NFT. How have you done yours, have you sold it and which market. What's the value of the NFT now and will it worth more in the future? Maybe if you answer my questions correctly, Op can learn from it.
262  Other / Meta / Re: *Restarted* Post history review offer on: March 12, 2024, 02:24:55 PM
So anyway, I've noticed that as soon as I do a few reviews I always get at least 2-3 requests within hours of doing them.  Can anybody think of an innocent explanation for that?  It's obvious to me that people are either looking at my merit-giving activity or saw that I just gave one of their alt accounts some merits (and I have no way of knowing).  It's making my paranoia itch.
Someone offering post review and issuing merits is regarded as a forum philanthropist. You are ofcourse a celebrity. Also the forum is open, by visiting your profile, I would know how much merits you have given out today. So, such a thing shouldn't bother you because this is an open forum, everyone who visits your profile frequently will definitely know when you start releasing merits. Don't be surprised that there are people who on loggin into the forum, they will first visit your profile to know your merit activities.
263  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beyond crypto, we are being scammed by scammers. on: March 11, 2024, 10:48:40 PM
You choose a complicated thread title. If someone after reading your thread title, do not have a clue of what the thread is all about, there's a problem somewhere.

There are plenty of scammers outside of the crypto world that we are constantly getting scammed by. Such events often happen in earthly life, but still, we all knowingly panic or fall into temptation. I shared what happened to me as a result of my knowingly careless behavior. I want to warn everyone: If you get such a tempting call, do not share your personal information with anyone out of fear or greed. No one should make the same mistake as me.
There are even scammers offline and who know you in person and keep scamming you directly or indirectly. I have known a group of boys who scam their own friends with women and they still mingle.
Scammers are becoming smarter everyday and it pains me when people fall for cheaper scams as the one that happened to you. It is something popular that you are not supposed to fall for. However, sorry about that and take heart.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good or bad idea saving every penny on crypto stable coins on: March 11, 2024, 10:34:10 PM
Op, you will have varying answers and the answers might just be opposite to each other and you will wonder whey. This is the reason you will have inconsistent answers;
  • Someone from the States will give an answer different from someone from the third world countries
  • Someone who is privacy concerned will ask the type of stable coin you want to buy
  • An economists will have a different view of no returns, etc
But you have to know your country and what is best for you.
265  Economy / Economics / Re: When luxury becomes a necessity. on: March 11, 2024, 10:17:04 PM
What you described in OP and the illustration you gave using your Mac laptop doesn't clearly paint he picture of a luxury life. People who lives luxury life doesn't care so much about the quality of the product rather the price. They will come with statements like "What's the latest if Mercedes car", "what is the most expensive car in your company" and they will just buy it just for the prestige. Same goes with their clothings and lots more. They will apply same to barbing saloon. They will chose the most expensive haircut even if it doesn't fit them. Your example of buying Mac is not luxury but buying something necessary to enhance your productivity.
266  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take Profits! Its important! on: March 11, 2024, 09:55:56 PM
"No one went broke taking profits."

Your profits are all on paper unless you realize them. By "realizing" I mean converting them to FIAT. It may sound weird to many people but we still live in a FIAT world. People still price their stuff in FIAT because it is somehow predictable unlike crypto. Yes FIAT sucks and it makes you poor in the long term but the thing is, you exactly know what you gonna get.

With crypto, there is too much uncertainly. Too volatile. So don't forget to take dem profits every once in a while.
I have read a few replies from people and they are all in agreement with Op. I have thought that OP made this topic because of the recent surge in the price of bitcoin. But lately did I remember that this is trading board and the post was made for trading purpose and not for long term investment purposes.

If I have been holding bitcoin for a long time, maybe throw DCA, this might not be the best time to take profit because it seems that the future is just brighter for bitcoin. Taking profit now might be too early.
267  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pump Bitcoin over $70,000! on: March 11, 2024, 09:41:20 PM
Okay whales, pump Bitcoin up!  I need to make a big profit on this.  And do whatever it takes to surge Shiba Inu as much as possible too.  It doesn't have to be true, it just has to make me money.
It could be easy for whales to pump Shiba, but the efforts to pump BTC is not that easy because it has a larger cap and also higher price. Bitcoin is the king and as such it doesn't deserve pressure, it does his things whether it wishes to do. Bitcoin has never failed and this year it has set another record of beating the previous ATH even when the halving haven't been in place.

Bitcoin has proven that it is a coin that gives joy and peace of mind. I was skeptical about bitcoin, but after this coming bull run, I will enter bitcoin with all I have. That is the surest way to be rich without being scared that your money will just vanish overnight.
Godbless Satoshi!
Godbless early developers!
Godbless bitcoiners!
268  Other / Meta / Re: Why Do Some Posts Disappear? on: March 11, 2024, 09:20:45 PM
I have noticed that some interesting posts disappear after a while. Similarly, my own posts have vanished after receiving responses for about two weeks.
Why is that?
If I may ask, apart from your own posts, which other interesting posts of others disappeared from the forum? Interesting posts ar not easily deleted, rather they can be moved from one board to the other.

This is the tread you started: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5488081
That thread is not deleted and I don't see any deleted posts in your post history.
However, I did move this thread to Meta and the other one to Wallet software just now.

To view your post history go to Profile > Show the last posts of this person.
Pay attention to this reply. This should be exactly what happened to you as I have seen that majority of your posts are in the wallet software board. Learn how to search for posts and read the description of every board so that you will be creating topics in only their board of jurisdiction.
269  Other / Meta / Re: Request delete my account from forum on: March 11, 2024, 08:53:20 PM
Hi,

Please delete my account and all my data from forum.

Thank you in advance
Deletion of your account is one thing and understandable. Deleting all your data is what I don't understand. If I am not wrong, the only data of yours is the email you used to sign in. If you have abandoned this account quietly and moved on, no one will likely notice the account. It could be that OP wants to reuse the email to register another account

All these are assumptions. Op would have thrown more lights by given a few reasons why he wants his account deleted, atleast to convince the admin to delete the account.
270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Day i have lost my 100 bitcoins on: March 11, 2024, 08:36:08 PM
I remembered that I had a Bitcoin wallet not long ago and I tried to find my USB key, without success.

Where have you been living all this while that you just remembered you've 100 Bitcoin... In a cave?
A good question to ask here. I wonder where he has been and just remembered that he had 100 BTC is a USB. But his profile said a BTC trader since 2010. So, this means he must have had an idea how to save his bitcoin since 2010, so what really happened and why remembering it recently. Maybe because the bitcoin price surged?
271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Still Dead? on: March 11, 2024, 08:25:44 PM
Is Bitcoin Still Dead?
I have seen that many people actually misunderstood the Op. He was just being sarcastic. Even without reading the body of the post or seeing the attached image that has bitcoin at 70k, you will still understand the post only if you wish to understand.

However, to those bitcoin killers, bitcoin might not be dead in their eyes for now, but after the bull run, when the bear market starts again, bitcoin will be dead once again. As long as the industry is concerned and there's always a bear after the bull, the bear market will always be the obituary of bitcoin to those who don't know what bitcoin is about.
272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is worth more than Silver on: March 11, 2024, 08:09:04 PM
I think this is a crazy achievement for Bitcoin, with a total market cap of 1.42T vs the silver market cap of $1.38T right now Bitcoin is worth more than Silver.

And is crazy to think, How a virtual asset can be worth more than a precious metal? It's crazy times that we are living in, and money and value are just losing sense. Markets decide what should worth a lot and what should crash.

Source: https://8marketcap.com/
Bitcoin is just set to beat so many records and surprise many people. Although, bitcoin has long been referred by many people as a digital gold and it is time it will begin to manifest. The market capitalisation of bitcoin is high and surprising that bitcoin achieved this while only being available for barely a decade. This means that before bitcoin will be 30yrs old, it will worth more than gold and it will be more scarce than as expected.

This generation, it has been easy and easiest generation to be a millionaire. Bitcoin is doing it's part and I believe bitcoin has quite more to offer us.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 10, 2024, 11:49:59 PM
Arsenal the elephant is at the top of the table again
I did expect a fierce match between Manchester city and Liverpool and it happened so. But my joy was cut short when Diaz was unable to convert some brilliant assists given him. I am English premier League fan and I am just tired of Manchester city domination of the league. I am a Manchester United fan and I will support either Liverpool or Arsenal to win the league title.

I do believe Liverpool more than Arsenal. Arsenal does not resist pressure as they can easily just give away their first position status in just next match. I would have been glad if Liverpool won but then it is still good that Manchester city didn't win.
274  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie gathering Club on: March 10, 2024, 11:41:11 PM
As I'm new and want to learn more maybe there are many people like me
so let this topic be a Gathering Club where all new users can find useful links

Post links of topics that must be read by new people to have a better perspective of the forum

thanks in advance for anyone who spend some time to help others
The gathering club you are proposing, will it be only for the newbies? If yes, that means it will be a kind of blind leading the blind. Who will provide the answers to the questions that all the newbies will be asking?
But if the club will be for everyone in the forum irrespective of the forum rank, it means that the Beginners and help board is already serving the function.

Getting started look simple and easy but taking actions becomes difficult. Just has you've said, newbie always creat similar thread to ask similar questions. I don't know why they can't go through the forum in general and read different articles posted that could help them in this space. Enough of spoon feeding. Be yourself and work towards achieving success in the space.
If there are repeated questions, it means that it is a general problem for newbies. But then we will only have one standard answer to these questions and I think the answers are everywhere and some are even pinned at the top of the boards. But if the newbies are too lazy to find them, we keep answering till when we run out of patience.
275  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'M NEW HERE on: March 10, 2024, 10:16:42 PM
Hi guys, i'm new here, i have spent the past days learning somethings on the forum, especially how to make a post, i will really appreciate if i'm guided on how other things are run on the forum and the do's and don't on here...thank you in advance
Welcome to the forum!
I have really seen links others sent to you, those are resourceful and educative. You just have to read them all and also help yourself out. There are many areas of the forum you can explore. Just understand yourself and know your core essence, use it and excel in the forum.

Don't copy others, be the original of yourself you can be. Only learn from people and advance yourself and not copy from them. You will meet criticism, use it as a stepping stone to grow and not see it as an attack.
276  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When will you finally buy on: March 10, 2024, 10:03:25 PM
To the procrastinators in the building, when will you finally buy? Or you're looking for one sweet excuse you will use this time around?

Maybe they will buy when bitcoin drops back to $10k, and by this time there will be great FUD that it will go to $5k, eventually to $1k and to zero Grin . When you keep procrastinating, there's never a perfect time to buy and in the end all the opportunities would be missed forever.

For everyone procrastinating and not sure of the market, the best way to enter the market is to use the DCA method. By this, you will not be under pressure of price fluctuations and you will invest according to your strength.
277  Other / Meta / Re: Old usernames and notifier on: March 08, 2024, 03:33:16 PM
The telegram bot is registered text based,
Gotten idea how it will work. If the old username is still registered with the bot, it will notify the old username, otherwise the new as both can't be notified simultaneously unless you register two accounts. Thanks and thread locked.
278  Other / Meta / Old usernames and notifier on: March 08, 2024, 01:40:40 PM
Hello;
AB De Royse777,
The Sceptical Chemist,
Igebotz and others who got their usernames changed by theymos. If you use trininja telegram notifier, do you get notified if your former username is mentioned in the forum?
279  Economy / Reputation / Re: Reee: Which campaign has the most spammers? on: March 08, 2024, 12:48:18 PM
so they know what the supposedly campaign manager is looking and so they produces this long post that nobody reads because it's just that, they add more to look like they put a lot of thoughts on their reply hence, possible for a bonus.

Most of the Stake participants especially on gambling boards makes their post unnecessary long despite the content is so simple and can be expressed on few line of sentence.
Both of you summarized the problem of Stake campaign. I gave the manager a suggestion the last time on the former thread, but it seems they implemented what they think is the best.
The rating system is deceitful. If there's a way the participants will complain they may. I have looked at the posts of the users with good ratings, the only criterion for rating is "the length of post". These guys paste wall of texts making it impossible for anyone to read and engage in healthy conversation. There are some good posters in that campaign, but the rules is gradually turning them all to spammers.
  • Remove the bonus system
  • Cap the campaign at $100
  • Remove the post raters, I don't think they are need
  • With your weekly budget, your avatar and signature will still dominate the gambling board
280  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: March 05, 2024, 01:06:10 PM
We're going to need a new rule next year:
➥ No merit sending showing tits is allowed from nominees to users which nominated them
Then again, someone would be very disappointed Tongue

Many funny things happened in the image above.
  • Royse and LoyceV were voted for miss bitcointalk
  • Had any of them once identified as a woman here, I mean have they shown their tits?
This could be the right time for me to know who is or claims to be a woman.
LoyceV,
Suchmoon,
Royse777,
Foxup,
Lovesmayfamilis.
I am confident that Lovesmayfamilis is a woman, for others I don't know. I have read where BitcoinGirl.club said She he is not a she. That's why I didn't include her him.
  • Also in the picture, Royse was voted for craft master and as well as an Anti hero. Is this not a gross contradiction by Shasan?
