261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to keep/park (airbag) funds? on: March 25, 2024, 09:52:51 AM
I am assuming bitcoin is excluded cause of this part of the post:
Say you have some amount of your capital free and you want to keep it in a safe place.
...it does not say that it is spare money you cannot afford to lose, but some free capital which you have at the time. But this does not explain the addition of ethereum and solana to the list.

From the list given, the best option will be gold or keeping it in fiat. Holding in stable coins does not protect from fiat inflation as they mirror USD value. It will be a good option if your country does not allow one easily hold USD and you do not want to hold your local currency due to inflation.
It is Gold and then USDT.

If this is capital you are free to hold for several years, Bitcoin will be the best option.

262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Global wealth preservation" on: March 25, 2024, 07:20:11 AM
If you need a broad answer to that then you should do your own research with available resources that you can find. The short answer is that there is no direct correlation between both. Sure people come up with fancy phrase like "Bitcoin is the Digital Gold" and that sparks a comparison which the media feeds on.

I had a problem and it has been resolved after submitting my documents. I don't know what trigger it also but probably I am exception but generally if you expect all users to KYC, I don't think the casino will manage to have a lot of wager volume in my opinion
Good that your case is settled now. All users are definitely not expected to submit KYC, I am personally not a fan of KYC, but it us what you sign up for when you agree to the terms of service.

I hope you enjoy playing going forward.

264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still truly achieve anonymous gambling in crypto? on: March 24, 2024, 05:02:03 PM
Crypto has been known for anonymity. During the early stage, we like to promote it using the words "decentralized" and "anonymous ", and it's the main reason why a lot of gamblers have chosen to gamble using crypto to gain full privacy...
This is not actually the main reason. Majority of gamblers choose crypto gambling cause it allows smoother deposits without barriers. You do not need to bother about what local currencies are accepted and what payment options they use.

Freedom would be the secondary reason and anyone who really wants that has some options they can explore.

Thank you for the reminder. I already made my pick several days back, nothing else to do during the international break.

There were some pretty big matches this break, but we are so deep into the season that several players are just conserving their energies to be 100% for when they return to their club and a couple did not make the travel at all.

Cannot wait for confirmation that Saka, Gabriel and Martinelli will be fit for Sunday.

266  Other / Meta / Re: Poll: Acceptability of Signature Wearer's Use of Insults and Foul Language on: March 24, 2024, 07:41:30 AM
A campaign project and manager can do what they want and pay for what advertising content they deem fit as long as it is not violating forum rules. There is no separate moderation for those wearing signatures from those who are not. The only small distinction might be that if you are caught plagiarizing, it will be much more difficult to get a pardon if those posts where made with the purpose of earning. This is a very small distinction and does not apply in your case.

If you feel any particular post is breaking the forum rules, report it and let the mods handle the case.

267  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bunny Loader ver 3.0 - most crypto wallets are being targeted on: March 24, 2024, 07:33:22 AM
However there are some platform that requires your email address even most of this newly launch project that pretends to offer free airdrop to their users...
You can simply submit a throwaway email address which you would not use for any other thing after that. There are email services which help with this for when you want to open accounts like that. Never submit your professional email address.

268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I want to ask how to mine the test coins, SBTC, on the Bitcoin Signet network. on: March 23, 2024, 01:34:57 PM
If you want to mine testnet bitcoins, here are two guides to go about it;
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5415335.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5415861.0

I do not think you can mine signet bitcoins, if you want some you should be looking out for faucets or directly requesting some.

sBTC is a token, which means something else.

...
Situations like these are not as common as you are making it out to be. There are tens of millions of email addresses across the different mail service providers. Scammers do not have easy access to emails, unlike wallet addresses, except when there is a major leak. And even with such a leak, they will have no clue who uses crypto and will be operating blindly.

The major way they will get your email address is when you sign up for airdrops, send them to different new token projects, register on too many untrusted platforms, etc. Scammers can buy this list of email addresses and are aware their users are into crypto.

270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: March 22, 2024, 03:42:20 PM
Dana White has express this concern regarding the age difference which he think is not right.
It is a concern, but he can do with the money at this point. I think the financial perspective was the deciding factor for Mike, I do not think any amount of trash talk will have been enough to drag him out of retirement after 20 years.

I am sure he can survive and even win the fight in the end, but he stands more to lose than Jake Paul.

shady casino after providing my kyc they want more invasive documents
You will need to provide more information for us to have an opinion on your case. Requesting for personal information and proof of funds is in line with Know Your Customer and Anti Money Laundering policies which this casinos have to follow and you signed up to when joining.

I hope your case gets settled quickly and you continue to enjoy the platform.

272  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to use unused BTC adressess from dynamic wallet as a new? on: March 22, 2024, 03:21:11 PM
You won't be given new address until you find the provided address which means there will be no previously used address can have zero transactions in it
Depends on the wallet you are using. Electrum ensures you have 20 unused receiving address at every point in time (you can change this limit), meaning you should always have addresses with zero transactions. It also generates a new change address for each transaction automatically.

273  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bunny Loader ver 3.0 - most crypto wallets are being targeted on: March 22, 2024, 12:44:06 PM
So we all know how this are being spread,

- emails riddled with malwares
- fake software downloads
- fake messages flushing in your computer like "you have been infected" and you need to click a link.
If you are receiving emails riddles with malwares, you already did something wrong which exposed your personal information to scammers. Ditch that email address and get a new professional one you can keep in the device you hold your funds, or use a hardware wallet.

Follow other advice like downloading only from the original websites and when that app is absolutely necessary, then get a good ad blocker to block malicious notifications.

274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: March 22, 2024, 12:35:25 PM
Mike will not be the first boxer to compete after hitting 50 years or age, but what is most striking is how long he has been away from competitive boxing. It has been almost 20 years since he stepped into a ring for a professional fight. But I suppose this is what evens out this match.

Mike in terms of skills and abilities is light-years ahead of Jake Paul, he needs to be thus old and rusty for it to be an even match, but he may just be too old already that the scale will tilt in favor of the younger fighter.

Would not be a fitting end to a great career to lose to an influencer.

275  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to use unused BTC adressess from dynamic wallet as a new? on: March 22, 2024, 12:09:01 PM
I read few articles that said it's not possible to turn off the wallet to generates new address, so you can only save or track your funded address through explorer.
Electrum generates new addresses within the gap limits. You can choose to change that limit if you want to, but if you only want to be receiving bitcoins through a particular address, then just keep sending that one to whoever is sending the bitcoins. It undermines privacy, but does not pose any wallet risk.

276  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Spending extra to keep my assets out of trouble on: March 22, 2024, 09:14:59 AM
I believe this is not a safe practice so I prefer to spend more on ETH gas fee, move the tokens out of my hardware wallet into a spare wallet connect the spare wallet to the website swap to the new V2 token, and move the new token back into my hardware wallet.
You can have a spare wallet for tokens so as not to incur too much fees while sending back and forth. Keep those speculative investment permanently in that wallet and your funds you will want to better protect in a different one.

Nothing must confuse you to connect your main wallet to any platform even if it's the real platform for token swap, because you might think it's safe and these people have their ways with your hardware wallet later on.
The platform can also be legit but get hacked later on. You will be opening a security risk that you cannot control or protect against.

277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your worst nightmare in a casino? on: March 21, 2024, 03:08:15 PM
Can a casino or betting platform update their ToS without sending out Notifications to gamblers? It is not impossible, but very unlikely.
Can a gambler miss out on a notification from a casino or gambling platform about an updated ToS? Yes! it is possible the notification is missed because it came at a wrong time when the gambler could not read it, or because the gambler is guilty of never checking their mail.
Casinos are obligated to inform their users of any change in their terms because the users are to accept the terms by which they use the service. If they do not send a notification, that user is not bounded to the new terms.

But they always do well to leave a term about how they reserve the right to suspend your account if they suspect shady activities, giving them freedom to do so at will.

278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your worst nightmare in a casino? on: March 21, 2024, 02:59:41 PM
I d not have a biggest nightmare for gambling. There is nothing about it that I think about so much for it to become that big of an issue. Having a large winning which I got legitimately seized will be right up there and so will be getting addicted to gambling and throwing in tons of money beyond what I can comfortably stake.

There is nothing that I am afraid of. My country makes gambling legal and the gambling sites that I am using do not restrict my country. I read gambling sites ToS carefully. I get verified if necessary.
Gambling houses always leave a back door for themselves in the ToS which allows them get out of tough situations and minimize their losses. Knowledge of the terms does not protect from this.

Hello. Do you have any code or equation to find the nonce value used in bitcoin transfer?
This is included in the header of the block the transaction was mined in.

I do not have a known useful method to obtain the private key and I wanted to collect it under this heading.
Is this the private key to a address you own?
