261  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know When to Stop. Lesson for Everyone, Particularly Investors on: October 22, 2023, 08:07:01 AM
~sinp~
The points you mention are very helpful and effective but I think this strategy is necessary for the traders. Op both the trading and investment are slightly different from each other let me explain shortly to you. Trading is a process or a strategy that involves buying and selling but for the short term while investment is on the other hand long-term planning and the strategy you mentioned is best suitable for trading. In trading emotions are the biggest enemy which leads you to a loss for example your greedy nature and fears can involve you in the loss situation and to save from this one should clear and satisfy his mind about what he is buying and why. If he is imminent on the fear and greed he will be countable in the legend of traders.

Yeah, that was why I mentioned that Dual Investment Strategy. I have used it very often these both when I'm unstable and when market fluctuates badly. It's been good all along
262  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know When to Stop. Lesson for Everyone, Particularly Investors on: October 22, 2023, 02:01:57 AM
it's reaching the limit of what we can afford in dealing with trading.
I myself also sometimes need to take a break and reflect on what is going on, why the trade is not going well.
Psychology seems to be getting worse and worse with some of the losses that occur.

It is necessary to do a self-evaluation, evaluation in trading to find out what is wrong and to fix it.
It is necessary to do so that we ourselves know what is an obstacle.

Learning from mistakes is a good thing, but learning from other people's mistakes helps us to improve without feeling the mistakes.
That is true, giving a break and checking what went wrong would be one of the best things for anyone, people do not realize that they are making a mistake if they are not involved with their own trades after it's done, you can't just lose money and move to next trade.

Anyone who stops time to time, check their winners and losers, see what went right with the winners and what went wrong with their losers, and try to find a common pattern that would benefit them would end up being a good trader. If you are not doing that and acting like you should be considering the situation a little different, I think that would be a lot more wrong, people will end up losing way too much money with something like that if they are not careful.

So all in all, I would expect the situation to be a bit different and if we all did what you do, like turn back and see what went wrong, then we would all do a lot better while trading and make a greater profit than what we are doing right now.

Exactly. I do this when I think I am overwhelmed at some point. Instead of forcing it, I just let it be. Hence the strategy I mentioned I do use.

It has really come in handy
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why meme coins are trending? on: October 21, 2023, 11:58:37 PM
Today, my narrative takes an exhilarating turn with the introduction of the $Opium meme token. This latest addition to my crypto portfolio radiates innovation and promises to inject fresh life into the meme coin universe. Just as with $PEPE, $CAL, and $SAFERUM, $Opium is not merely a senseless creation; it realize the spirit of a movement, a community-driven endeavour with untapped potential.

Now, I'm on a new adventure with the $Opium meme token. It's the latest coin I added to my crypto collection, and it's looking like it could be the next big thing in the world of meme coins. Just like with $PEPE, $CAL, and $SAFERUM, I see potential in $Opium that goes beyond just being a joke.

Meme tokens started as funny internet stuff, but they are turning into serious business with real communities behind them. $Opium, with its cool idea and excited supporters, seems like it's going to be a standout meme token. It's more than just a joke; it's a movement.

Well, to answer your question, meme coin are created for fun and easy means to make money if you can get the legit one like Pepe early. I remembered when it was listed on Bitget first before other exchanges got to start listing and how far it went. So yeah, if you get the right meme before it becomes too popular, you will enjoy it
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralised exchange getting better than Decentralised exchange? on: October 21, 2023, 11:44:47 PM

What I mean about looking at "rumours" you should understand that they should be from security ends. Binance rumours are mostly about them leaving a particular region due to regulations or the other. But you won't hear when someone comes up with, something phishing happening in that exchange. We all know how the FTX problem started. Some people brought it to the notice of many on twitter before the crash. So we can't compare Binance with FTX

If you say Dex gives you the key. That's true, but how much control can dex do for any incoming hack? Could it be traced? If so, why then is Uniswap trying to get KYCed
There have been a number of time that we have hard series of possible attacks on binance even though it minimal,  compared to others,  just for your information,  there is no exchange or platform that have not hard attempt of hack or what so ever but then also we have to give accolade to exchanges who have stood the test of time and survived all attempt to break it security at some point,  what made FTX own case to escalate to this point is because pf the internal fraud that happens and FTX did not have security attacks,  but was a pour exit scam by the CEO,  who spent investors money on personal pleasure.

But what has made Binance to be different in today's market is the fact that the series of possible attack on the exchange has its success in the hands of the COE because he keeps improving the security of the exchange and also keeps in mind that,  hackers and attackers will never seize to attempt to break the security protocol to gain access to the hot wallet.

Absolutely, and I don't know why people don't want to get it. You see, this is the reason I choose both cex has my preferences especially this bitget that I have been using for quite sometime and I see how crucial they get when it comes to securing users' assets.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralised exchange getting better than Decentralised exchange? on: October 21, 2023, 06:51:00 PM
The whole centralized vs decentralized exchange thing is less about one being better than the other, and more about figuring out what works for you based on your priorities and how much risk you're cool with taking on.  You talked about some of the nice parts of centralized exchanges, but left out one of the biggest downsides in my opinion.  Since centralized exchanges hold all the coins, you gotta trust them fully with your crypto which opens up a can of worms when it comes to who's really got control.  In crypto world, it's all not your keys, not your coins, so going through a centralized exchange means youre handing over the keys and just hoping they keep your funds secure.  On the other hand with decentralized exchanges you keep the keys and control over your assets.  That's a big factor to think about when deciding between centralized vs decentralized and  at the end of the day, it depends on your personal risk tolerance and what you value most.

CEXs are secure and reliable until they're not. You gave a good example with the FTX exchange, which rapidly became one of the largest crypto exchanges in the US. And we all know what happened in the end. As for the rumors, are you suggesting that there are no current rumors about Binance?

What I mean about looking at "rumours" you should understand that they should be from security ends. Binance rumours are mostly about them leaving a particular region due to regulations or the other. But you won't hear when someone comes up with, something phishing happening in that exchange. Same goes to the other. In fact, the latter exchange operates in most regions where Binance don't and they're really doing well with all they know.

266  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Use Crypto Signals? on: October 21, 2023, 03:44:28 PM
Trading signals shouldn't be relied on all the time,  but should be used only as an alternative to personal research,  what I do most time is do my own research and build up my own trading techniques alongside using trading signals as a support for to my own personal efforts.

I never rely 100% on the services of trading signal providers but then some have some accurate signal service that gives good trading profits,  but I can pay any fee to get a signal service as some people do because I already know the risk associated with third party signal service providers.

Yeah, something like copy trading. You don't need to involve into third party. You can easily look for a good Elite trader that would trade for you. But is best you don't stick with just one
267  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is there any safe ways out there to get 10-15 % ANY return rate ? on: October 21, 2023, 03:40:22 PM
is there any safe ways out there to get 10-15 % ANY return rate ?

as far as banks i noticed maximum 5 %

crypto exchanges upto 15 %   - but are they safe to put money there ? like nexo , kucoin ?

You can use cex some give high APY like bitget. I don't use kucoin. I use only Binance and this I mentioned. So as I was saying. It is possible especially when they get a coin listed. Is just by staking their token within the week needed for the event then if you can do what is needed you will credited with the actual amount like a launchpool. This process has been ongoing for a long, and I'm currently doing that for PPT.
268  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know When to Stop. Lesson for Everyone, Particularly Investors on: October 21, 2023, 03:32:09 PM
It's definitely a good idea to stop time to time but also not every time you are irritated that doesn't mean you should stop, that's not how job works. If you want to be a professional trader one day and just make money from it, then you can't just love every minute of it, there will be times when things go wrong and you need to learn how to reset and get back to being better. I know that it's a hard thing to do but it's just how it is and could be the only way to move forward.

I hope that it could get to a point where we could make some profit from it, and I know that it's going to take a while but that is what you can do with it one way or another. I know that it is going to take a while to be able to reset like that and not be mad, because not everyone wants the same thing, but I believe it should be very important for everyone to do it one way or another, they could get better at it eventually and do a great return without a doubt if they just put the time in and work to make it happen.

I agree with you. That's why when I feel like I am too overwhelmed. I just take a break, use the strategy I'm more familiar with as I have stated in my post and still earn while I distract myself outside my chart
269  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know When to Stop. Lesson for Everyone, Particularly Investors on: October 21, 2023, 03:18:03 PM
The same holds true for the Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) method.
I mostly agree with everything that you have said. Those could be a great practice in order to control your emotion. The moment you learn to step back is the moment when you are going to move forward in your life. The market is evolving and in order to stay up to date with it, we need to change ourselves too. And those are great ways to do that.

But one thing I can't agree with is the thing that I have quoted above. DCA means you put a fixed amount of money after fixed amount of time and you keep doing it over and over. And what you are telling in the whole post does not helps to do DCA. After the certain period of time will pass whatever the market condition is you should put that fixed amount of money into your investment. That is DCA. I'm still confused how all of this relates to DCA. Could you please explain?

Ok, why I said this relates to DCA is because Dual Investment allows investors to buy crypto assets at a lower price or sell at a higher price. No matter how the price moves, you can always earn interest at the settlement time. Actually, this is one of the Bitget products I use most times when markets fluctuate to earn from it
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto analysis: Will the price of Bitcoin go up soon after hitting a low point? on: October 21, 2023, 03:06:37 PM
Fundamental always leads the game. We can take this recent game ETF news for example how most people were able to mill quick gain from the market. I was lucky for using Smart Trend though. But yeah, using both fundamental and technical to execute your trade is more professional
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find new meme coins early? on: October 21, 2023, 02:37:01 PM
I'm a certified meme coin hunter, and my radar is always on the lookout for those hidden gems that might become the next Pepe. Speaking of which, I remember stumbling upon Pepe on Twitter when the buzz and sentiment were off the charts, and I just couldn't resist aping in, and it paid off!

Twitter is just one of the treasure troves, but there are plenty of other ways to spot those potential success stories. So, my fellow crypto meme seekers, I want to hear your strategies. How do you go about discovering those up-and-coming meme coins before they skyrocket? Care to share your secret sauce?

Oh well, I was going through the comments believing maybe someone would say more places to find those memecoins but I was a little bit disappointed. Anyways, even as Twitter is great, I usually wait for those legit memecoins to be listed. I meant meme coins like people or shib before I can throw my money in. I believe those meme coins that get listed tend to be less risky
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Centralised exchange getting better than Decentralised exchange? on: October 21, 2023, 02:30:44 PM
I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!

So I recently came across a post where people are engaged in a lengthy debate over whether CEX (Centralized Exchange) or DEX (Decentralized Exchange) is better. So I decided to wrote down this. Frankly, I believe it's a matter we shouldn't dwell on too much because both have their advantages and disadvantages.

For CEX:

Security is reliable if you choose the right exchange.

Transaction fees are reasonable.

It's user-friendly for trading.

You're less susceptible to phishing scams, especially when using a secure wallet.

Various earning opportunities are available.

Let's consider two exchanges I'm familiar with as examples:

For Binance: Despite suffering a massive $570 million hack, Binance remains one of the largest exchanges and not just that, they still keep their standards high.
You can find more details in this link: https://www.investopedia.com/binance-got-hacked-6748215

Now, Bitget: While Bitget hasn't experienced a direct exchange hack, although there was an incident that occurred with their wallet due to a link shared in a group that led to users' accounts being compromised, I won't really call this hack per se but a lesson to everyone. We all need to be careful of links sent suspiciously in any group you're in because you don't know what you will be clicking that will lead to total wipe pf your assets both in crypto and off crypto

You can also read about it here: https://www.google.com/amp/s/ambcrypto.com/bitget-becomes-the-latest-victim-to-a-defi-exploit-as-bitkeep-loses-more-than/amp/

I use Bitget more often because I've delved into their security standards and believe they're doing well. However, I still use Binance, as it was the first CEX I encountered on my crypto journey.

Now, let's talk about DEX:

I won't say DEX is bad; it has its merits. Everything is decentralized, as the name suggests. I've used Uniswap and continue to do so. However, it's essential to note that DEX can also undergo KYC (Know Your Customer) processes, as evidenced by this tweet about Uniswap: https://twitter.com/WhaleChart/status/1713291249560535051?t=lyzx4IAlZNiG9Llt4g-Tqg&s=19

Furthermore, DEX can be vulnerable to hacking. Consider Mixin, for example.

What I'm trying to convey is that these debates about CEX vs. DEX should consider that both can coexist and work well if we find the right balance.

Even if I said ok, I want to go offline to be safer. The truth is, Im not sure I can be 100% safe offline either. I was researching offline wallets on Amazon and watching YouTube reviews for recommendations. At some point, I got discouraged because even some offline wallets can be hacked. But that won't stop me from using an offline wallet. Is just picking the best that I know that would be best for me. Just as picking the best exchanges among cex and Dex.

As I've said before, our security largely rests in our own hands. Before an exchange collapses, there are usually rumors. When those rumors start, it's essential to withdraw your funds promptly. Take FTX as an example; Sam Bankman Fried's actions had a significant impact on the exchange. If you've been following his legal case, you'll see that he meticulously planned it out with no remorse, unlike other exchanges that experienced hacks and returned stronger with enhanced security.

273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralization vs. Decentralization on: October 21, 2023, 01:41:15 PM
Hello fellow Bitcointalkers!

I've been mulling over this for quite some time, and I feel it's time to dive into one of the most profound topics in the crypto world: Centralization vs. Decentralization. I've noticed this duality splits the community and I wonder, is there a balance to strike?

Centralization:

Pros: Potential for faster transaction throughput, a focal point of control and regulation, easier to implement changes and updates.
Cons: Risk of a single point of failure, susceptibility to censorship, a tendency towards monopolization.

Decentralization:

Pros: Censorship resistance, enhanced security through distribution, inheriting the initial spirit of Bitcoin and the idea of autonomy.
Cons: Potentially reduced scalability, decision-making difficulties, possibility of fragmentation and disparities.
It's clear both come with their merits and demerits. But, do we need to acknowledge that both can coexist? Are there situations where centralization could be beneficial? Can there be a balance?

Eager to hear your thoughts! I believe it's vital to discuss these matters to guide the future of blockchain tech and cryptocurrencies in the right direction.

Let's have a fruitful discussion!

Both have their pros and cons but what I don't get is why people keep shading Cex black even if they know the danger in DEx is more numerous than cex. This makes me wonder, how people don't still get it that anyone can easily fall for scammers on dex than cex. Fine, Cex can be hacked. That doesn't mean Cex can't be hacked too Mixin for example got hacked with no trace.

I use both but I think I prefer cex in this case when it comes to security, to be honest. I think I once shared about how to secure ourselves and how to go about it in my previous post. There Cex like Bitget, Binance and even Kraken that do well when it comes to security
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Confident Are you With Altcoin In This Time on: October 21, 2023, 01:29:55 PM
Quite a lot have happened in the crypto investment market with the long run of a bear market in 2022, as a result of the various market crisis ranging from ftx bankruptcy and Luna crash that affect the market for a long time, before the present recovery, many crypto analysts such as myself are confused as for what the level of confidence of investors towards altcoins in this period. Do you consider any altcoin to be pf future profiting, if yes then what is the percentage calculation of your confidence level in that coin and why should we hold them for a long-term basis?
First of all, before anyone would say they have confidence in a particular coin. You should ask yourself why. Ok back to the question

I have good confidence in several altcoins which are ETH, LTC, BNB, BGB and XRP. If you check the coins I mentioned and their road map you will realise that these coins have a good roadmap and great community backing them up. This means they won't find it so easy to collapse so easily, coupled with the fact they have good utility as well. Unlike some coins out there that after printing profit, it diminishes with no trace
275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Misleading Report on SEC Decision Shakes Bitcoin Market on: October 21, 2023, 12:25:23 PM
Maybe they spread the false news on purpose to liquidate the short sellers?
Haha in that case they are doing the Hodlers a favor. Only idiots short bitcoin.
Let's say this news didn't take place. BTC was already showing up movement. I don't know why those people went on shorting. I feel sorry for them though but I know others and Myself still benefited from it regardless. Used smart trend and came out of it immediately to avoid getting liquidated
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nowhere is safe? on: October 18, 2023, 09:51:45 AM
Anyone involved in the cryptocurrency market has likely experienced having a large or small amount of money stolen. Any untrustworthy and unfamiliar website can potentially steal our funds from any wallet. Even if you store assets on centralized exchanges, there is no absolute security because exchanges can go bankrupt at any time

Not everyone though. You can say most people have fallen victim because of those who haven't fallen, I won't call them lucky but I would say they take strategic measures like the factors I updated, in knowing where to put their money and when to remove their money if the exchange doesn't seem fit. Now is just like buying stock and you see that the stock you bought is having sketchy moves. What would you do? You sell off right?

That's the same process with exchanges when you put in your money, make sure that those exchange has the basic quality that can keep your assets safe. Any exchange that doesn't upgrade its security measures during these periods should never have existed.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins do you think are currently still cheap but have good potential for on: October 16, 2023, 10:31:26 AM
All altcoins have experienced a deep decline when the market entered a bearish period and I'm sure none of the altcoins have experienced an increase and reached their previous ATH so we can say that everything is still cheap if you want to have it, do it immediately and always remember the risk that there will be an altcoin that will not return to its highest price and no one knows what it's the name so when you choose the wrong altcoin then you will have the opportunity to also lose not just profit, so be careful.

That's why when he gets those altcoins, he need to join their community to get more update. Check internet to know what people are saying about the coins. Because for me, I'm pretty sure the coins I'm holding will do pretty well.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me altcoin to DCA till halving on: October 16, 2023, 10:25:29 AM
Which altcoin can you recommend for me to start DCAing till  halving when the bull run is expected.
I am afraid , that before bull run such coin might have problems.
Buying altcoins in a bear market is bad. DCA altcoins within a bear market is bad too.

Quote
I don't want coins above $100, so that it will be possible to run on good profits if the investment works.
Don't buy any coin because it has cheap price or cheaper than $100. You can buy 0.003 BTC and hold it to get profit in 2024 or 0.047 ETH and hold it to get profit in 2024 altcoin season.

However, if you buy shit coins, you will not get profit and if they die in the coming months, you will end with $0 as those coins or tokens will become zero in value.

I think buying coins in the bear market is very much ok. Because it usually determines which coin can do pretty well when the bull market comes.

279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me altcoin to DCA till halving on: October 16, 2023, 10:19:20 AM
I am aware that DCA is better in a coin you know will last somehow long depending on how long you have to DCA.
DCA is the only means that is easy for me to buy coins. Which altcoin can you recommend for me to start DCAing till  halving when the bull run is expected.
I am afraid , that before bull run such coin might have problems. I don't want coins above $100, so it will be possible to run on good profits if the investment works.

The coins I go for are the ones below $10 which I have studied in the past bear market and how they were able to grow in the bull run. These two Rune and BGB, are the ones I'm focusing on because I know they have the potential to repeat the same process as they have done in previous years
280  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Bitcoin Hit $1 Million by 2026? Arthur Hayes Makes Exciting Forecast on: October 16, 2023, 10:13:58 AM
Hayes thinks Bitcoin could become valuable, like between $750,000 and $1 million by 2026.-Bold Crypto analysis

Bitcoin has been doing well lately, going up by about 29% since March. It almost hit. $30,000 but didn't quite get there. Right now, it's worth more than before when it was around $24,000. Arthur Hayes the cofounder of BitMEX, has a big idea about what might happen with Bitcoin in the future. While banks around the world are making it harder to get money, Hayes thinks Bitcoin could become valuable, like between $750,000 and $1 million by 2026.

Lol is funny how people would wake up one morning and decide to say whatever that's in their mind. I am btc holder and trader most times scalp with Sniper range but that doesn't mean we should be hoping for something we don't even know what the next month would decide for BTC. Let him start by predicting what the market will be at the end of this year
before speculating on 2026.
