261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEOs drop in value is no threat on: May 25, 2019, 01:30:38 AM
Projects that raise funds using an IEO will initially attract investors based on hype more than anything else, even if they have a real world use case, but for these types of offerings to become viable long term propositions they should have adequate funding not only for launching the crowdsale but for building brand awareness post-sale and increasing their appeal to investors in order to establish a strong market presence
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ENG (Enigma) the next ETH? on: May 25, 2019, 12:50:01 AM
Projects like Enigma, Neblio and Wanchain etc. regardless of their technological innovations may lack the necessary development capabilities and resources to be comparable to an asset that is world class and there are more platforms with even greater potential such as Cardano, Waves, NEO, and Komodo which offer competitive scaling solutions that have yet to enjoy some of the limelight that Ethereum has garnered over recent years
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how can i trust new platforms? on: May 25, 2019, 12:15:55 AM
When choosing which new startups to invest in first evaluate their potential by determining if the project has a quality product, a unique use case, and a realistic roadmap to achieve adoption, and then make sure you analyze the performance of similar assets in its class and also take into consideration market conditions for the best time to invest
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops still favors on: May 24, 2019, 11:47:33 PM
As they say "one person's trash is another person's treasure" and these types of promotions can provide worthwhile rewards if you apply for enough of them and do happen to get lucky, but it's always best to ensure you are applying for good quality airdrops and never provide KYC information without first doing due diligence to determine if a startup is legitimate
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Germany's First STO - Your thoughts? on: May 24, 2019, 02:28:36 AM
The main differences between Security Token Offerings (STOs) and Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) is that STOs are regulated whereas ICOs aren't and the tokens issued by the former are considered securities and are generally available only to registered or accredited investors and this fundraising model will soon become far more popular as the industry develops
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Garbage Or Gold on: May 24, 2019, 02:00:38 AM
Bitcoin is not likely to become worthless nor should it be superseded by a newer technology that easily because it is the most predominant blockchain that exists today and although comparisons have been made between it and physical gold it defines its own unique asset class as a technology, commodity and future store of value and its appeal is likely to increase to a broader range of investors in the coming months which will further increase its adoption
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What we should do for bitcoin on: May 24, 2019, 01:28:03 AM
Cryptocurrencies are still a relatively new technology and they haven't yet achieved mass adoption due to a lack of awareness and real world use cases and are still being considered an emerging market for more speculative investors, but this is beginning to change with major brand involvement and regulatory progress which has begun to legitimize this asset class and ensure its longevity
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do investors think about ICO? on: May 24, 2019, 12:59:31 AM
ICOs are no longer the most popular fundraising model in the marketplace and many tokens have lost significant value due to either being over hyped, overvalued, or not representing viable long term investments, however, not all projects are worthless and there are many that have a good quality product and potential for more partnerships and community efforts to build their ecosystems and achieve further adoption so make sure you focus on these
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Important question to Investors!! on: May 24, 2019, 12:22:33 AM
Pre-sales are a popular technique often used by token sales to attract capital from early bird investors and private funds, but these are becoming less relevant now with the advent if IEOs which are bringing about a more level playing field for retail investors with most major launch pads applying an individual cap or a lottery format for members who wish to participate
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tokens prices are decreasing? on: May 23, 2019, 03:06:21 AM
Token prices are naturally depreciating as investors turn their attention toward alternatives that are less risk orientated, have growing rates of adoption, and represent long term viability so if any project you've invested in doesn't meet these criteria, it may not be worthwhile HODL'ing and you could optionally diversify into better quality assets and be patient and wait for those to appreciate instead
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC price is much more important than USD price on: May 23, 2019, 02:31:23 AM
You are correct in stating the value of an asset in satoshi's can be more important than the price in USD because the latter is often quoted when referring to an assets market value and this can skew the profit and loss calculations relevant to its peg which for most alternatives is typically Bitcoin or Ethereum
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance was hacked=> Everyone should be wary of your wallet and trade on Binance on: May 23, 2019, 02:03:56 AM
Generally when an exchange gets hacked it losses some of its credibility and customers tend to withdraw their funds for safety reasons and this can have a negative impact on the startups reputation and can lead to a decrease in market value of its native token but in this instance it didn't most likely due to giveaways and VIP rewards which enticed customers to continue using the platform and the moderate appreciation may indicate the overall market is performing better than expected
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who actually invests in ICO's? on: May 23, 2019, 01:14:15 AM
ICO investors were mostly retail to begin with but these offerings quickly attracted private equity and VC funding as they gained popularity, however, the focus is now starting to shift from this type of funding model to IEOs which have an individual cap and don't typically include private sales that attract larger institutional investors which can be more beneficial to participants if the project has long term viability
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Current bounty campaigns that can make you rich? on: May 23, 2019, 12:48:15 AM
At present there are not many bounty campaigns available that can offer a decent reward because ICOs have declined in popularity and are being superseded by IEOs which are generally marketed by the platforms that host them, however, some of these crowdsales do offer a range of social media tasks and airdrops that may be of benefit to newbies
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency investment on: May 23, 2019, 12:18:03 AM
If you've invested in good quality assets then don't panic sell if there's a little volatility in the market or cleverly orchestrated media FUD, especially not when the fundamentals are supportive and statistics indicate a strong increase in demand from both retail and institutional investors and if you add to that the upcoming release of professional investment products it's only going to be a great opportunity for picking up some bargains if there are any dips
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mistakes hodlers make on: May 22, 2019, 04:52:32 AM
This depends entirely on your investment strategy, whether you're adopting a shorter term view and are simply buying dips and taking smaller profits immediately when the market goes up or if you're investing for the long term and constructing a well balanced portfolio that can yield a decent ROI and if you aren't impatient this can be a very beneficial approach
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Income from crypto trading. on: May 22, 2019, 03:47:14 AM
Firstly, the market is not declining at present and secondly you can use stop loss to minimize your losses or you can simply avoid these types of issues altogether by adopting a longer term strategy that doesn't involve any of the risks associated with day trading and be patient for returns on your investments
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The right time for investment? on: May 22, 2019, 03:12:12 AM
Whenever the market becomes oversold is obviously the best time to invest and when there's dips you can generally pick up alternatives at better value, but the market is indicating that demand is strong and sentiment has become less easily affected by adverse issues so there's potential for it to improve however just ensure you don't add too much risk to your portfolio and focus on top ranked assets
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this really better than Bitcoin? on: May 22, 2019, 02:30:02 AM
There are not many assets that have the innovative potential or ability to achieve wide enough adoption to compete with the market leading cryptocurrency and there is likely not going to be a for some time if ever as it increases its overall market dominance and become a more sort after means to hedge against traditional markets and currencies so make sure you build a well balanced portfolio and make alternative options a lower percentage if desired
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty may be an income medium for unemployed youth. on: May 22, 2019, 02:01:36 AM
Anyone of any age demographic can participate in bounties provided they have the necessary skills to complete the tasks and these types of campaigns can provide useful rewards if they are successful just ensure you determine if an offering has a good quality product and a real world use case if you aspire to make the most of these opportunities
