261  Economy / Economics / Re: Rise in US unemployment. Thoughts? on: June 25, 2020, 06:58:41 PM
What are your thoughts about this? Do you think that US will have an advantage on not employing workers due to this pandemic?
Will their economy be affected by this suspension on high-skilled worker's visas?
I think this is also happening in other places, the rate of unemployment is growing and companies has been hit hard by the pandemic and cannot continue to pay for some of their employees. This is going to be worst consequences of pandemic as job losses and low production of food and other day today life's requirements may get hit. Even pandemic comes to an end, this type of consequences may persist for at least next 2 years.

Although it’s not really all the companies that are in such position and some of them are against this idea of suspending visas that will allow them to employ foreigners. I have seen some oppositions and some have said that they are prevented from recruiting of workers that are seriously needed for a role. This was done to prevent people with the virus or that are living in such places where there are cases to have access to the US.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when price is dump?? on: June 25, 2020, 06:04:05 PM
Holding until it recovers is the second best thing you could do when the price drops, the best thing you could do is buy even more so that your average would drop down. I have always said that the best way to get into trading is when it is low and when you see the price going down you know that it is the best possible time to buy into it.

Unfortunately there are too many people who see it going down so they sell it before they "lose even more when it drops" but that is definitely wrong, the price is definitely not going to go down even more and make you lose even more if you just wait a bit. Definitely it could drop further in the short term but all drops have a recovery and we should focus on that recovery in the future to be patient about the drop that is happening at that moment.

I hope everyone listens to people here who says holding because that is the only way to make a profit.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum (ETH) Price on Course to $300 on: June 25, 2020, 12:35:42 PM
An article on cointelegraph  hurts that eth will rise to $300, how do you think?
-snipped-
The price of Ethereum is growing, it’s just one step to another. The price was at $100 before, and it has gotten from that price range to above $200. It’s just from one price level to another, it’s not going to happen in a day. That’s why it’s good to plan for a long term. If this halving is really going to work out as they have said, then we should be looking forward to ETH hitting a price that is way more higher than the $300 you have mentioned. I can remember very well that my ETH was bought at $123.31, and many people were saying it will go down, and yes it did go below that and even below $100. But, I will be making more than that soon.

Updates gives investors something to anticipate, some might bought more now then hold till they've reached the target, others are playing short term engagements and enjoyed the quick benefits.
I am thinking like version 2.0 will be a game changer for ethereum against its primary competitors like BNB and few others like EOS,tezos. Because, now ethereum will be have more than 1 real world application like dapps and POS. So, definitely people will love to buy and hold to enjoy passive income stream.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Spyce Price Conditions before and After Distribution on: June 25, 2020, 08:14:49 AM
This is becoming the common trend, after the coins or tokens get launched their price will drop. I think this is caused when those that received the currency are starts selling once it’s made available. But, that’s not enough to pull down a good project. Any project that’s here to stay will continue to thrive even after that happens, and as time goes on they will start coming up the chart. It just takes the right team to build it up to the level it deserves to be.

So, if you still believe in the project there is really nothing wrong with continuing to hold their tokens and having patience till things gets back to normal. But, as per many altcoin holders' experiences in recent times, long term holding is dragging them down compered to dump on receiving rewards from bounty or from ICO contribution. So, it is subjective and we cannot have one generalized practice for all the times.
265  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.me - Crypto Casino 🎰 Now Accepting EOS | Roll Hunt | Bonuses on: June 23, 2020, 09:13:28 PM
^I am not saying there was zero changes but do not try to defend by changing the way I talk and what I am trying to say. That is a really cool argumentation method that people do either knowingly or unintentionally but couldn't possibly work here because it is too obvious. I didn't say there was zero in the sense that they just forgot to renew the domain type of lazy work, sure there was tiny stuff and there was useless stuff.

However nothing that mattered ever worked. We have asked about a million things in the past 3 years and ask them to be implemented and whenever we asked that the answer was 100% "it will be done" , I am sorry but even if it is done, it was done too late and it was still not nice to investors. Hopefully whatever is being done, will eventually be done one day before my grandchildren reach to gambling age.
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee 2020 Prediction on: June 23, 2020, 08:00:43 PM
Anytime someone mention this I just laugh lol. It is really funny, and the same guy ended up saying that Ethereum is better than bitcoin, I guess it’s because Bitcoin didn’t reach $500,000 based on his crazy predictions. Most of these influencers started jumping on Bitcoin and making these predictions after the bull in 2017. They were all marveled by the move that BTC took, they were not expecting it to reach that level.

So, they all decided to study Bitcoin and start investing in it. They all literally thought that it was going to happen again so they will make some free cool money, but nah they were all disappointed, but I guess they must be still waiting for the targets to be reached. Fortunately bitcoin for that kind of potential to make all positive speculation to become true even that gets delayed.
267  Economy / Economics / Re: Which is better, staking or investing? on: June 23, 2020, 06:17:46 PM
Seems like OP is concerned about one coin's staking which could be an attempt to shill on what they have invested or where they are being affiliated. It would be good if OP removed the links they have included as that is not a good example for staking as staking is an old concept and almost all the people on this crypto space might have been aware of it already. So, I guess for example purposes including one particular coin is not at all appropriate in my opinion.

Let me talk about staking and investing.

Both do not have big differences on ROI perspective as both are providing same kind of results for investors these days.

In some sense staking is seeming better than investing because it is like you are starting up a business venture to generate a passive income stream. Investing must be same kind but here you are fully depending on market value of your asset and no other factors are influencing your level of profits.

Staking get you more shares (coins) to increase your chances for get good ROI. But, investing will not impact the number of shares you bought hence you market value is the only factor for good ROI.
268  Economy / Economics / Re: Very strange most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few on: June 23, 2020, 05:51:30 PM
Very strange thing i noticed: most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few

I think all clients i had from bitcointalk prefer to use bitcoin to buy services / products they needed ...

Not a single client that i had until now used altcoins like ethereum ,litecoin etc or tokens like usdt, usdc ....

Why do you think people don't like to use altcoins to buy things on the internet ?
You are stating something different than what I have seen. I agree most people are buying bitcoins and then storing it but they are also buying altcoins but they are using it on availing services for the reason of cheaper transaction fee and also for quicker confirmation so that they can start looking to things other than getting stuck and waiting for their payments to get confirmation.

Different people must be having different perception on bitcoin and altcoin usage; the people you have watched might be using the services where no altcoins is being accepted. Or, for bitcoin payments, they might be getting some bigger discounts compared to altcoin payments. These are the things which makes people to go using bitcoin rather than using fiats or altcoins.
269  Economy / Economics / Re: How in the world we going to restart the world economy ? on: June 23, 2020, 04:10:53 PM
The greatest idea that I have read from a professor of economy is to let people go back to business but also keep them at home as much as they can (3 day weekend or less work hours or just continue remote if they can) while also keeping the regular cafe, restaurant and other business that needs to go back to how things were.

That way you are keeping the office people at home and work whenever they want and give them more free time to spend their money as well, those people who work less will spend this newly found free time on going outside and eating outside or doing whatever they can to spend money. Why? Because they have been stuck at home for a long time and they want to do something new and refreshing compared to previous 4 months. That is the best thing we can do now for the economy.
270  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy after COVID-19 on: June 23, 2020, 01:00:22 PM
I think the real crisis will come after COVID-19 The virus has crippled the economy of every country and if no vaccine has been discovered so far it will take a long time to recover. However if the government wants, it can improve the country's economy by investing in crypto Crypto plays a helpful role in improving the country's economy That is why every government in every country now wants to legalize crypto.
But where I live people are still leading usual life and acting like they don’t give a d*mn about the virus that’s killing lately. The most important is to make sure you wear your mask and avoid touching your face and also wash your hands regularly and keep things clean. You will hardly find places where cryptocurrency is being accepted as payment, unless you’re searching online. When it comes to online we already know there are sites similar to Amazon that we can buy things from using Bitcoin, such as Newegg and Overstock (each deals on particular products).

I read some part of people are making use of cryptocurrencies at a new high after covid19 pandemic but we are not seeing any spike on bitcoin market still if  this pandemic chaos is launching people to adopt cryptocurrency for their own level of convenience then I guess somehow they could build their economy better than before.
271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can others compare to bitcoin's values? on: June 23, 2020, 08:40:57 AM
It is all about the direction you’re coming from. In terms of usage, which is what majority of the people would consider, a lot will be choosing Bitcoin because it is more popular than the other cryptocurrencies and is widely accepted. It will be really difficult for other cryptocurrencies to be able to beat Bitcoin in terms of that. If it’s possible, for how long is it going to be? It doesn’t seem to me like something that’s going to be happening anytime soon.

Although I do see the possibility of Libra putting up a big competition, but till then, let’s just wait and see. There are already some cryptocurrencies that are somehow competing against BTC in some specific features, but people are not interested in them. At the same time, bitcoin can have all the features with upcoming developments which could be a reason why people are not showing any interest on them.
272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me or has the entry bar become a lot higher? on: June 23, 2020, 07:07:16 AM
Is it just me, or are people really ready to give out their identity just to buy some Bitcoins on an online exchange?
There are decentralized exchanges, it’s only centralized that will request for your ID verification before you’re able to buy and sell BTC or any altcoin. The thing with centralized is that they are easy, and it’s not just only about being easy, they are also secure than when you’re making use of decentralized; DEX should only be used by people with good experience in cryptocurrency trading and also in how cryptocurrency works. And I don’t think it’s late to buy Bitcoin, you can still buy now that we are riding on $9k price, just do research and know where you should get in at. And moreover, there is no where it’s said that you must buy 1 BTC, just buy what you have.

Buying bitcoin will not be complicated by any platform, it is only as security for the platform and for ourselves.
Yes; moreover buying bitcoin got simpler than what we had some 5 years back. With respect to my country and all possible means for buying bitcoins, things got simpler and time saving; now I am able to buy bitcoin from my mobile device using P2P fund transfer facility itself and I am sure I cannot do the same 4 to 5 years back.
273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving 2020 on: June 23, 2020, 06:37:18 AM
It is very difficult to be able to know the price that the bitcoin coin will reach, as it is an unstable currency and is witnessing continuous fluctuations, therefore I cannot give you. However, we are likely to see price rises at the end of this year
Yes, it’s still early to be talking about what effect the Halving is going to have. It’s not going to kick off and start happening immediately, it takes time before it starts happening. The other ones that happened in previously triggered massive bull run in 2013 and 2017 respectively, should have taught us some things by now. We should know now that it doesn’t just go boom and all of a sudden prices are up.

It takes time before things matures to what they are meant to be. And this year has been really something else, from one thing to another. But I pray things get better with time. To experience the real consequence of halving 2020, we must need the ongoing pandemic to be settled down. Because only after that we can expect investors start thinking about adopting cryptocurrencies.
274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining: Why choose Solo or Pool? on: June 22, 2020, 08:47:00 PM
Lol does people still mine solo these days? Shocked I don’t think so. Anyone who is going into mining these days should go for a pool mining, because, to be sincere, you can’t compete with those big miners out there if you should decide to go solo. I don’t think you can have the level of equipment that are required to be able to beat the bigger miners in the game. And moreover, if you’re mining solo I think the expenses will be more than what you will face when you’re mining with a pool; even those who mine with pools are complaining that the expenses are too much.

It is still up to you give it a try and know what’s better for you, but I know for sure you’re not going to beat those bigger miners unless you’re push lots of money into it turn into a big business, which is not something you’re looking forward to.
275  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving economy at the cost of what? on: June 22, 2020, 12:48:09 PM
There is no clear picture against the cruelty of current pandemic because the death rate of covid19 is falling below level of pre-assumed 2% and we are seeing a lot of people are recovering from it in less than 14 days as well. So, governments may think about relaxing the restrictions of lockdown so that they could start building their economy back. I mean I'm not seeing any of risk on planning about saving economic of a country. This could be the reason why governments are reopening all their business.

Governments cannot keep people within their home for longer than currently they are into. People must need some money to live which is possible for more than 50% people by going job. Only very few people must be having saving to lead their life and some other people are having the chances to work from home but most other people must need to go out to earn their life.
276  Economy / Economics / Re: What brings economy of a country down. on: June 22, 2020, 06:26:24 AM
I think bad investments are not just stuff we do, countries could do that very well too. If you are a government and you are getting a ton of taxes there is two things you should use that for, one of them is to make your people happy and their life easier, the second one should be to find stuff that would make profit for the government as well.

I do not understand all of this "capitalist" BS that forbids governments to have companies, many governments actually do have business' but they do not look like business, like DMV type of places exists or postal office type of places exist, not just in one nation but in all nations and they do make a profit time to time, or at least they should.

So, at the end of the day governments should get our taxes, build jobs and business and after a while they will be making their own profits and taxes will not have to go up, or it could even go down.
277  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Currency Value Falls During Recession? on: June 21, 2020, 09:09:08 PM
There is a popular saying that Cash is king, a term reflecting the belief that money (cash) is more valuable than any other form of investment tool, especially in the event of an economic downturn when there are cheap securities and properties that could be bought with cash.

On the flip side, I am very curious to know if the value of fiat currency appreciates or depreciates during a recession and why.
Of course currencies do lose value during recession. You know were you’re living, the kind of country it is, and I believe you can tell from what’s happening whether the value of county’s currency  will lose value or not.

During recession the dollar might stay king and a lot of people might start buying it to hedge funds. And when people start other currencies and buying dollar because they see value in it, then the other currencies will continue to fall. And I think stocks will be mostly affected because people will sell them to have cash.
278  Economy / Economics / Re: The positive impact ~ on: June 21, 2020, 08:22:00 PM
As much as we all try to look on the good side of it, let’s admit it that this situation is not good, especially for our economy. Yes, some businesses might find a way to function during this kind of time, but a lot of businesses will find it difficult to cope when there is a lockdown and people are staying indoors. Nah, it’s not going to be easy Sad. That’s why we still have to ease the lockdown and people can just follow the safety measures to make sure that they avoid the virus; by putting on face masks, staying one meter away, washing hands regularly, etc.

A lot of people have lose their job while other has to give up their jobs and move back to their province bacause they are afraid that might get infected of the virus.
This is what happening on all heavily infected counties and I am not sure how they are going to manage to get back to normal production level. These things are signalling us about high possibilities of upcoming economic slow down. I am not seeing any positive impact but there could be heavy negative impacts that we are going to face in coming months.
279  Economy / Economics / Re: A very positive sign: 39% of companies now have blockchain in production on: June 21, 2020, 07:11:17 PM
You do know that they are producing their own Blockchain and it has nothing to do with the current Blockchain or cryptocurrency as we know it right? So, there is no way that it’s going to have any kind of impact here, what most of these companies are doing is just business and they are not supporting cryptocurrency, they are just creating their own Blockchain that they might be marketing to people who needs it.

So, I don’t see anything to be excited about in this. The only thing we should be talking is more people adopting Bitcoin and investing in it, that’s when it is going to make sense. Even bitcoin runs on blockchain, the mass adoption of blockhain technology may not give any big impacts to bitcoin adopters. So, I wish similar to adoption rate of blockchain, bitcoin adoption as well must have in more rapid manner Wink.

Wow, bonus rain received a 200M tip! You have to be level 1, to claim the rains, hurry up, get your account to level to 1, chat, claim this rain, and cash out in account conversion to BTC or altcoins. It will run out soon  Smiley

One of the biggest in Bitvest History. third, to the 1 Billion - first, 1 BTC tip.

Crikes that is a lot of bonus rain. Did someone else hit it big again? Wasn't so long ago when we had that big winner and that incredible tip that ate up years of my investment profit =D

Anyway popped in for a while and that tip's already halved haha. I got on the tail end of one of the rains for 20k, sokay;) Really good to see big winners at this site, healthy activity, nice.
Yeah, this website has one of the biggest rain makers because it also allows you to gamble for a lot of money and win a huge amount as well. I don't really remember what the max bet was but the max earning is huuuuge here, which causes people to rain a lot of money if they get lucky.

I remember back in the day that was the norm, people would distribute their earnings when they get a huge win, of course not all of it but like 10% of it so that people would cheer them, there wasn't really a big reason for it, some people initially did it and it became a gambling cultre in crypto world, just like in real life when you win big you tip the dealer even though you do not have to. But, after a while in many places there was "hidden" usernames started and people just stopped paying when they made a big win and just hide behind their usernames, which I guess they have a right to do.
