In my mind they should focus on sustaining current demand rather than developing new chips. It's better for everyone, more profit for them and more miners for us, everybody ends up happy Smiley
262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is ripple going to overtake bitcoin ? on: January 04, 2018, 03:24:36 PM
Ripple is being pumped massively. I don't think this is real value for one coin. Ripple's goal is to achieve better CENTRALIZED system, something that we all got into crypto to stay away from. I don't even see  how can someone invest into something like that.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]DAVORCOIN LIVE - ARBITRAGE LENDING PLATFORM - EARN 2% Average Daily[ANN] on: December 27, 2017, 11:59:40 PM
This Davor will always grow, because the platform is trusted and good volatility per day. This not will die. There are many active account.
Good luck Davor.
How do you figure ? What makes you trust them ? There is no team behind it, no one's reputation on the line so what is exactly stopping them from saying bye bye right now and taking all the money ? Nothing. I don't see how did they earn your trust but they won't get mine for sure.
264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin now is the same as stealing on: December 27, 2017, 05:51:07 PM

Don't be stupid. There is always now and then a post like this and always someone explains why Bitcoin cannot be a bubble or anything like that. Price is not increasing because of Speculation but because of number of people that are using it and there is limited number of Bitcoins to ever be produced which increases value dramatically.

Seems you are the fool here.

Almost no-one is using it for payments - the extremely high fees makes Bitcoin completely useless for practical payments.

The vast majority of people buying Bitcoin now is doing it because they expect it to increase in value. That is speculation. Just look at everyone in this forum - it is all about how much money you can make buying Bitcoin.

That is situation from the last 30-40 days, what about last 8 years ?

It looks to me like you are probably pissed at yourself because you bought at 19k and sold at 13k or something like that and now you are ranting all over the place hoping that you are not the only newb here
265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin now is the same as stealing on: December 27, 2017, 11:09:26 AM
To any neutral rational observer with just a minimal understanding of economics, it is clear that Bitcoin is deep into a bubble.

But investors can still make money.

The price can still continue to go up for a while. This is what economists call the "Greater Fool theory". In this, an investor buys an asset (for example Bitcoin) purely on the speculation that the price will go up because someone else is willing to buy at a higher price (the new buyer is the greater fool).

This strategy can of course be profitable for an investor who buys for example at a dip and sells on the way up.

But, as anyone with half a brain knows, as this is purely a bubble it also means something else.

It means that any investor that buys now can only be one of two types of people:

- You can be the greater fool. Ask yourself if that is you?
- Or you can be the one buying with a plan to sell to the greater fool. But that also means you plan as an investor is to cheat he greater fool - which in effect is stealing from somebody dumber than you.

Therefore, if you have been buying Bitcoin in the past months, ask yourself:

Are you a thief or are you a greater fool?

Don't be stupid. There is always now and then a post like this and always someone explains why Bitcoin cannot be a bubble or anything like that. Price is not increasing because of Speculation but because of number of people that are using it and there is limited number of Bitcoins to ever be produced which increases value dramatically.
266  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Eckmar's Marketplace and Auction Script [ESCROW FEATURES] [199$] [TOR] [DEMO] on: December 27, 2017, 11:04:34 AM
This script is pretty nice but I've got a few concerns, especially relating to the TOR aspect of it. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Also I have some recommendations:

1) It's not very well optimized for TOR in terms of anonymity. I can easily see what webserver and OS you're using just by causing a 403 error. (nginx/1.10.3 (Ubuntu)). The whole point of TOR is to be anonymous and this could easily deanonymize you. Should it not redirect you to a custom error page which hides this information?
2) There's no search function? On a marketplace I would think that this would be a basic feature that would have been implemented.
3) There's no sub categories. Again, I feel like this should be a basic feature that it should ship with?
4) Why is the "My Products, My Sales" and "Feedback Score" showing on a buyer's account? A trust rating for a buyer is redundant isn't it? The feedback doesn't show anything when logged in as a buyer, even after leaving feedback for a vendor. Also, I think that "My Purchases" should not be visible to vendors since they should only sell.
5) I also think the "Profile Description" should be hidden for a buyer's profile since they only buy and don't sell anything.
6) When you reply to a message, it should automatically fill in the Title from the original message.
7) The possibility to see the prices in a fiat currency (like USD) and then convert it to BTC when making the purchase. I think it will be handy with the BTC volatility.

I hope you see these comments as positive feedback and improvement recommendations. The script is very good, but I think these smalls things might make it even better. Smiley
Good job

1) Can be fixed in 2 ways. Running laravel in production environment or editing the nginx config.

As for others, those are some missing features. I haven't done them when I made the script and price is so low because of that. If I add them I will increase the price dramatically.

1) is webserver issue i think
U need to touch config or rebuild from source (apache, nginx)

For hide php signature, go in php.ini
You are right Smiley

if you can fix/implement these things what Xander mentioned i'll buy the script 200$ in BTC no problems !

If I do that price won't be 200$ thats for sure...
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why even holding your bitcoins? on: December 26, 2017, 12:06:42 AM
Apple does not produce the best phones, (That's a fact, don't be angry fanboys  Grin  Grin) but look at how many people are buying them and look at the profits of Apple company. You say it's over hyped as a bad thing, I think of that as free advertisement which is always good. And other reason to have BTC is that you will most likely need it to buy those altcoins you want...
268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a big Bubble ! real price for bitcoin is 2-5 K $ on: December 24, 2017, 08:56:54 PM
I read your post 3 times and couldn't understand half of the things you said. Before making such announcements make sure everyone can understand you first Smiley

Now for the price, I feel like you sold your coins and 2-5k $ range and now you are trying to scare off some newbs. That's definitely not cool. That idea of a bubble is being forced by the banks and governments mostly (the reason why you read about it in daily newspaper) and only people that don't know shit about Bitcoin believe in that.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: tx costs of different established cryptocurrencies my personal experience on: December 24, 2017, 12:31:35 AM
how long will people still accept those crappy cryptocurrencies with high fees as value carriers?

Not sure to what coin are you referring to. Value carrier is Bitcoin but it's not crappy so you got a bit confused there buddy...

Anyway, what is currently happening with Bitcoin's fees is pure manipulation. There were talks for months about Bitcoin Cash being the true Bitcoin and it's what Satoshi wanted and all that crap. Before Bitcoin Cash fees were high sometimes but all manageable. Don't you think it's kinda strange that Bitcoin Cash only have low fees going for them, other than that its just copy/paste of BTC. Now people are looking for other currencies like you did and select one with lowest fee and say "yeeh guys the future king is here!!!". There where always other currencies with lower fee but do you see anyone wanting Waves or even Ethereum as payment when they are selling something ? Nope, It's just BTC (LTC recently). Bitcoin cash supporters are hoping that more people are thinking like you (well only newbs can do that, sad but true) and that is the point for creating this mess. If you cannot spot a manipulation when you see one don't invest in crypto because it's unregulated and it happens a lot (what happened 2 days ago was pure and simple market manipulation for example)

Edit: I just saw that you are pretty new here, I didn't want to be so offensive but it does really explain some things. Do some more reading Smiley Friendly advice
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: poloniex - are they legally responsible for losses when they wont give you your on: December 23, 2017, 11:56:30 PM
It's not that I'm defending them or anything but did you have a look at your situation from the other side ? Poloniex does not care about you, they care about your money and profit they will make from you. But also they are taking huge fees from coin developers (initially and after). Maybe developers did not want to pay for the service anymore ? Or if you look at it from the technical standpoint, maybe developer fucked something up with their daemon which made communication with poloniex api difficult ?
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most ICO’s are a Con on: December 23, 2017, 08:08:51 PM
I don't think most ICO's are a con.  I think it is too easy if a startup fails to call it a scam.

You wouldn't call a business you invested into on the stock market as a scam if it fell.
This would be true if they even try. But about 85% of ICOs never do a thing from their Road Map or do something similar to it to pump a token price little more. That is really a scam in my mind. What is needed is a bit regulation like real IPO. Money should be held in escrow, and released to them in stages. That is the only way it would be fine with me.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you invested $100 in Bitcoin & $100 in my fav altccoin, how much is it now? on: December 23, 2017, 08:05:53 PM
Thats why my portfolio is loaded with 60%alts and only 40% BTC for investment protection.
Thats just gambling. I don't like to gamble with my money so I have about 95% in BTC and 5% in alts. I think of it as pretty much safe and I don't really care what happens with alts. They may go up or down, it's fine with me Smiley That way much less stress for me.
273  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expecting bitcoin drops below 10K within 24 hours, anyone with me? on: December 22, 2017, 02:57:35 PM
dropping more than 23% now, currently around 12700. Wasn't it almost 20K few days ago!?

I too know bitcoin price will dumped more than 10k and it may goes low till upto the 9k USD in the chart. Please do not worry about the bitcoin and altcoin price dumped in the chart. It will be recovered soon and price spike may take up to 20k USD in the chart. Once the hard fork has been completed in this time. Please takes their money on different coin will be a looser.

You have good imagination and very unreal positive mind. The fact is crashing.
Then sell your coins. I just love people like you. Unexperienced "little investors" that sells when price goes down. You will be at loss in next 30 days I guarantee that.
274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 281133 unconfirmed transactions, fees > 1000 satoshis/byte on: December 22, 2017, 01:55:01 AM
And the number still increases: https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

Who cares about bitcoin it's already history , smart people already sold this 10 year old technology. It's like paying $15k for Windows 95 in 2017 lol
Don't be stupid please. Bitcoin is regularly updated so it's just not right to say that. What other alternative you have ? Everyone is talking about BCH low fees blah blah but it's just Bitcoin with tweaked settings and I guess if you care about fees it fixes that. There are good alternatives (BCH does not belong here) but they will never be as popular or accepted by community as Bitcoin. Thats a fact.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]DAVORCOIN LIVE - ARBITRAGE LENDING PLATFORM - EARN 2% Average Daily[ANN] on: December 21, 2017, 06:49:34 PM
yes Davor will moon definitely... $50 will be easy.  Smiley

at $50 Davor will be half a billion???  What makes this coin worth that much??? Please educate me so I can understand this. Thank you.
Nothing. No team behind it (publicly available) and they can exit scam whenever they feel like it. It's high risk investment
276  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN][NEW]🥇Automatically track BTC price 24x7, get email alerts for price moves on: December 21, 2017, 05:49:36 PM
Really, mate? Email alerts are nothing new to the market - there are a few that offer it for free - and no one in their right mind will value a year's worth of email alerts at 0.5BTC, or ~$8,400 as of right now. The ones that do offer it for free might not be able to send at the frequency of four per hour that you claim on your site, but any premium upgrade that they offer that can match or exceed that will still be nowhere near your price.

Be realistic.

We offer customizable email alerts that only send to users when certain criteria are met. For example, if the price suddenly dropped 5% in 3 hours, our alerts will immediately inform our users and bring this change to their attention.

For users who want to have a peace of mind and track their crypto pricing 24x7, this is a very handy tool. Instead of spending sleepless nights watching the crypto rate, they can enjoy their holiday vacations, and get instant alerts when needed.

We offer customizable alerts. The yearly membership covers 365 daily reports, 8760 hours crypto rate watch, instant crypto price sudden change alerts, and many more datasets.

Our basic annual membership is 0.1 BTC, which includes most of the features that we offer. Premium annual membership is 0.5 BTC.

What you offer can be done (coded) in about 40 minutes (saying from personal experience). If anyone is really interested in this alert they would pay the developer 200$ and he would have it ready and tested in two hours.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Possible x5 in early 2018 on: December 18, 2017, 01:46:28 PM
TRX and XRP is good alt to hold i guess, see at CMC TRX allread 4 times its previous value in last 10 days and XRP is 3 times.

Yeah but look at supply of TRX. I have some money invested there, but I don't see it going to 1$ or even close to that. Maybe 0.1-0.2 maximum

Cyrus successfully recovered my account. I'm back Smiley

Congratulations. Did you receive a PM or something? I still haven't received anything.

It sucks that im stuck here watching how some idiot spammed his ICO:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=381190;sa=showPosts

Look at the posts after October 08... I mean cmon guys, this is insane.
I did. Why didn't you lock the account from email ? That way no one can use it at least.

Definitely an interesting one. I'd say a almost 2% per day is really high for any lending platform and that is what concerns me. Also I did not see the team on their website ? Are they staying anonymous or what ? Explanation would be appreciated.
