According to DashNinja, your last payment was 3d18h17m14s ago. So something is happening to your payments. Now I don't know what it is, but the first thing that comes to my mine, is are you using masternode.conf? If so, are you still using the old donate to address option? That no longer works, perhaps it is causing trouble? Sorry if I can't come up with the right answer, but I thought it was worth a try. Something is definitely happening to your payments because I don't see it arriving in your account number, yet DashNinja shows it was paid. Strange. I had an odd error when I reinstalled from a backed up wallet, the 1k came back alright but the single recent payment was not showing in the wallet even though it was synced (but showing at dashninja and explorer as 1003) I sorted this and got the outstanding balance to show using 'recover transactions2' dropping the metadata, an odd glitch, perhaps wastedLTC already has the payment but doesn't know it? |

What about a lottery organized by a trusted member? I'm willing to give 1 DASH for example, to have a chance getting the nice drawing. Really like it but I cant afford 400USD. For lottery maybe a random number could be picked using the Dash blockchain? I second that, we could bet on selected minutes when a chosen block is going to come up, 1 Dash = 1 full minute. I would have 5 bets myself, would be funny to watch and help the 'start the art' Dash guy  |

The wallets need to be smart enough to know the transaction fee for the speed at which you need the transaction to go through. Bitcoin has a fast or slow bar for confirmations, but I don't think this changes with network conditions - I could be wrong here.
When I guinea pigged this spam/stress test (purely for research purposes, of course), as I was sending the btc out of the wallet and waiting over 1 hour to find out if someone else had half hinched it or not (all tx came back as conflicted btw), I came to realize that Dash already has a 4 second solution to know if the transaction arrived, whether the blocks are full or not and it is called transaction locking instantX |

Depends on how you look at it. Does DASH do well if Bitcoin dies from this test? Yes. They are finding the issues but not the solutions As an example solution, why not add a spork to set a min fee override? When the network gets attacked, the developers (via a multisig spork, another improvement we've been talking about) just up the fees until they run out of money or they stop. Like an enforced variable fee emergency override? you could have it proportional to the size of the overflow so the correction would be harder and come back to the norm faster (in step increments). |

This is the stress test. They are just having anyone that wants to claim the bitcoin do the test for them. Plus now there are multiple users trying to get the same transactions. Smart in a way. So we had a backlog of 60MB(10hrs) of transactions last night. Now we are at 160MB(26.6hrs). It looks like the back log increases an hour every hour. Anyone actually wanting to send bitcoin should raise the fee to at least .0004, this will need to be higher as the test goes on.
For anyone interested, each private key is filled with .00001 transactions. You can only transfer about 675 inputs out at at time, which is about $1 in BTC after fees. You spend your time selecting inputs and waiting for the wallet to manage the enormous amount of inputs. By sending BTC you are feeding the test and delaying transactions.
I don't support crashing the bitcoin network in any way and its unhealthy for all the coins but look at it from a business or VC angle who wants to invest millions into bitcoin, they want to know for sure if the network can handle times of high usage such as this and is it upto the job. Would you want to invest pension funds as a hedge fund into the future of money if it can't even handle a couple of hundred btc thrown through the network as small change. And should this not have been sorted out in testnet way back anyway? |

Its taken 9 hours to have 0.06 btc removed from my wallet during the stress tests,(but not empty), must be a lot of people with them private keys by now, does this show how slow bitcoin is then, I suppose the sendtoaddressix command would have taken most of it in fees due to the transaction size but would have got it quickly.

So masternode blinding is the one thing you are missing from the coin you love so much and you are angry it's not implemented yet.
...
Dash v13 will have a different type of blinding. I've reinvented the way it works and it's a million times better, literally. It's going to be really slick. Can't wait Is this part of the 50 page whitepaper or is V13 to put us on until even more earth shattering stuff ? |

I've got quite a lot of sympathy for both of you (....hey, I can post again after my recent " knuckle-wrap" - thanks mprep !). ... Markets function best when everyone makes up their own minds about how they value an asset and how they position their investments which is why I respect both Otoh's and wozzek's perspectives equally.
