why would this be better than zcash the real thing that is being in launched 2 weeks, i for one dont want my btc stuck in here when that launches
Komodo will have the privacy of Zcash, but with the security of Bitcoin. We will have to wait and see what security is like for Zcash once mining starts. |

No exact date/time, but it will be some specific BTCD block (announced later). It will happen after the ICO, but before the swapping begins. Thanks - plenty of time then. Final question, will the revenue share assets be fully tradable? Sorry for not being more up to date. |

Dom has provided this update on the slack: A quick status update for everyone (a longer update will follow later today):
- We are currently in the final stages for 1.0.8. There were some major changes made (especially to the signing schema), so it took longer than expected.
- @gianluigi is working on the Curl optimization integration into IRI
- We will launch a "testnet" later today so that we can test certain functionality and make sure it's ready for release. This includes a stresstest which will happen this weekend (100tps one).
- Nostalgia is done and we'll be testing it more thoroughly later. This should be a Minimum Viable UI for the community.
- I will work on integrating the new major changes made to the actual GUI during the weekend. But don't take my word for it, as it may take a bit longer (I'm back in Italy this weekend, so not 100% available. I'll try my best).
- *The ETA for the live network to be back online is early next week* |

Good post.
The was a lot of clamour for the first cloud mining offer - zeropond - but jumping the gun this early may mean you lose out. The slow start gives a lot of time for things to change.
