261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Use your winning responsibly on: May 24, 2024, 07:51:01 PM
On the other hand, I understand that money is not everything but it is a fact that everything needs money or everything will usually be easier if it involves money, meaning that this is the reason why money management is very important and needed. Especially if you are involved in gambling then obviously having a rational mindset to be able to make really wise and appropriate decisions is really needed for a gambler, because after all gambling will always be able to make you experience losing even large amounts of money when you cannot manage your money properly.
Without money we can't do anything in life, including to die, considering the costs involved for the funeral. So, it's a must that every individuals learn how to manage their funds properly, always drawing long term plans for their money, so they can achieve long term and progressive welfare along the lifetime. Those who are able to win from gambling and use their profits smartly are on the right track to a more comfortable and peaceful future, where all or most of their financial struggles are going to disappear, so they can focus on another aspects of their lives which were neglected before, due to the financial difficulties.

The smart gambler wins and leave, while the fool keeps playing until he doesn't have any penny left on his pockets. The fool turns gambling into the main meaning and purpose of his life, while the smart gambler understands it's just one secondary aspect of his life, which can't be put above the most valuable objective of existence: genuine happiness and self-realization.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin profit - when is being greedy too greedy? on: May 24, 2024, 07:35:50 PM
Yes, it's definitely a good idea to start cashing out your profits, since you have already made x40 profit. That is a lot of profit, even when compared to the profit made through BTC by the early investors from previous bull seasons. If you are so confident this altcoin is going to hit 15$ by the end of this bull run, you can keep holding some portion of them to see what happens. However, it's highly advisable that the largest part of your portfolio should be put for sale already, so you can guarantee the x40 profit made.

It doesn't make much sense to take high risk after high risk without enjoying the fruits after all. It's similar to the story of the addicted gambler who keeps betting, chasing losses, and even when he is successful on the process, he doesn't cashout, but keep pursuing higher and higher betting rewards, as to win was the final goal, while the final goal should be in fact to put the winning into good use.
263  Economy / Economics / Re: The End of Credit/Debit Cards on: May 24, 2024, 07:09:56 PM
Do you think credit/debit cards will still be a thing after the launch of CBDCs? If not, why? Will payment processors like PayPal, Visa, and Mastercard survive? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
I don't think physical cards will disappear due to CBDCs, because many people still prefer the physical cards instead of using mobile devices when making payments daily, and I'm one of them. Not every places have internet connection disponible, so I can't use my mobile to execute the payments, therefore I prefer to use the old good offline debit card alternative, otherwise I have to pay some extra costs to keep the internet going on all the time I'm on public areas, and that is not something I'm willing to do, as I consider waste of money...

If middlemen services are going to survive, it's going to depend on how the laws are regulations are going to be passed by the legislative houses of each country. There is a lot of lobby going on these places, so I don't doubt middlemen services will remain. Maybe not Paypal and Mastercard, but something is going to replace them, without any doubts. A free society where people can be autonomous seems not possible to be achieved with the bureaucrats on the reins of our societies.
264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are banks against cryptocurrency? on: May 24, 2024, 06:35:16 PM
So what I'm ultimately getting out here, is that crypto currency can't go in line with banks. What are your thoughts towards this?
Not only it can go in line with banks, as it's already happening at many banks around the world. Here in my country we can already invest in cryptocurrencies through our traditional banking apps, so the bank is a middleman between you and cryptocurrencies. The problem is that you can't cashout your crypto funds from the platform, so the bank has it on their hands the whole time, and as we know, not your keys, not your coins... It's definitely a big issue, although banks don't have any problems in offering this investment opportunity for their customers.

In fact, banks were clever to offer crypto investment opportunities while keeping all the funds held under their possession, so at same time they embrace the advantages of adopting cryptocurrency, they also totally kill the characteristic they most dislike: decentralization.

After all, it seems perfect for them, while for average investors, it's a big setback, since they give up on the main aspect of investing in cryptocurrencies, which is the fact investors can hold their own money on their own wallets without the risk of having their money seized by a central authority.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can soccer players collaborate with gamblers to help them win there bet? on: May 24, 2024, 06:09:06 PM
What's your view on this, is it possible that such alligatoin might be true?
Yes, it's not only possible, but also likely to be true. Sentences for players who collaborate with gamblers in order to manipulate a match's events should be harsh. The athlete who acts this way is a traitor of the sport he practices. It's like a doctor who swore an oath to save lives, but start acting in his profession to murder his patients to steal their organs in order to sell for extra profit. These people should be immediately suspended from their functions and forbidden to play further championships and official matches through national teams.

That is how society could show how shameful the acts of these professionals are, by putting them aside from every activities. Regards this case you mentioned, it's said this player can be suspended for a timeframe of 10 years. In my opinion the penalty applied is totally justified, and has to be useful as a warning for other players who are doing the same or thinking about doing the same.
266  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Make a difference in your society. on: May 23, 2024, 11:14:04 PM
You can make adifference by helping your society to eliminate the corruption, which is a major challenge many society are facing today and they have concluded that is a normal thing in a society.
No one of us are super-heroes to get rid of corruption from society by ourselves. Everyone who is planning doing this is going to fail miserably, ending frustrated and rejected by its pairs inside the society. The maximum you are going to achieve is becoming part of the corrupted system, corrupting yourself as well in the process, as it has already happened to many individuals who promised to fight corruption back on the highest levels of society.

Just live your personal life the best you can, being fair to those who appear on your path, while being loyal to those who are side by side with you. Forget about collective causes, agendas and debates. The world isn't going to change, so if you want to succeed in this life, try to not let the world change you in counterpart. If you succeed doing this, you are already a winner!
267  Economy / Economics / Re: Work From Home or The "Laptop Class" is Immoral or Not? on: May 23, 2024, 09:57:15 PM
It's all about productiveness, right? When employees work in person at the company building they can be watched and observed by their supervisors, so it's easier to control who is working and who isn't, and why a determined employee is producing more, while another one is producing less. However, when employees work from home, it's not possible or it's very hard to check their performance. Maybe they can be cheating on the boss, and the boss doesn't even know about it. One example is the usage of AIs nowadays. People got lazy and want the AIs to do the whole job for them.

We don't need to go too far to see this reality, as we have already faced it here at bitcointalk forum with some members copying and pasting content from ChatGPT to make their posts for signature campaigns. If those forum members were working physically at a company building, it would be easier to catch them cheating on the instant moment they were doing so, through a supervisor or through a camera installed on the room.

In fact, the camera idea is even being introduced by some companies for remote workers, as the company forces those employees to keep a camera online during the whole worktime. I don't know how effective it is, or even if it's moral to force an employee to follow this rule...
268  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 23, 2024, 09:42:11 PM
I still mostly trust Freebitcoin only because of these reasons, but being more transparent about how the funds are managed should be a priority given the anonymity and likely complete legal immunity that they have managed to keep.
Those reasons, plus transparency regards how funds are managed isn't enough. I really don't think the team in charge of freebitco.in would execute a scam move against their community of users, after so many years together and providing quality services in return.

My concern is just that the lack of care and attendance from the team here at bitcointalk forum and at freebitco.in website has serious potential to put the platform's funds under risk. Hackers can take advantage of the gaps in the system and absence of the managers to steal further funds at some point it will be unrecoverable for the website. That is what I fear the most. If that happens, they won't have how to pay users back, and then there won't be anything we can do about it.

By my understanding, we had a taste of that recently with the situation involving the high rollers' accounts. And as that tasted really bad, I'm pretty sure I don't want to go ahead for a full meal...
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling bad to the society? on: May 23, 2024, 09:28:11 PM
So what I'm trying to conclude is that gambling isn't something you should take as a hobby or as a means of earning just to make a living. So what are your thoughts?
If gambling isn't something we should take as hobby or as a mean to earn money, what are the reasons to gamble after all, if there is any? I agree gambling shouldn't been understood as a mean to make extra cash to make a living from, because it's a very risky activity which brings losses on long term for majority of the gamblers, however, if a gambler takes it as a simple hobby, I don't see any cons on it, since he is able to maintain a healthy activity which won't go beyond his financial limits and capacities.

There are stories of addicted gamblers who lost considerable sums of money and the greatest part of their lives, that is true. However, there are also many other gamblers who have been gambling for their entire lives without any prejudices to their finances or relationships. I've already seen many elders who attend frequently at casinos who have been gambling for decades and still do, while thriving and increasing their patrimony, side by side with their families. That is not an issue for them, and it might not be an issue for you as well, if you are able to be a responsible gambler.
270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lunatic gamblers who says Airdrop rewards are free funds. on: May 22, 2024, 08:56:49 PM
To me, they can utilize these so called free money by adding it up to their Bitcoin portfolio or even used it to spend on necessary things instead of dedicating to lavish it on gambling.
Since they make the income from airdrops through tasks, it's not free money at all, rather it's money paid for their work and effort towards such tasks demanded by airdrops' managers. In my opinion there isn't much difference between your friends and those people who work all day long, but instead of going home after the daily duty, they go to a casino to spend all their hard earned money made for that day of work.

These people are sacrificing their chances of thriving for an uncertain outcome in gambling. They are only thinking on short term goals, while totally neglecting the long term ones. Nothing in this life is really for free. The bartering system is going on all the time, even inside the closest relationships. So it's not a wise idea to waste anything in this life.

Of course entertainment is good and everyone needs to relax some time everyday. But to prioritize this necessity above other essential needs in life can be a mistake, especially when the individual is starting to build his personal independent life.
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Religion. Beliefs or Choices? on: May 21, 2024, 09:35:41 PM
How do different religions view gambling? What could be the reasons behind it?
Some religions view the pursue for money in life as a serious sin, so they include gambling as a sin, because they consider it synonym of greed and think when you gamble, you are getting your focus from God to put on the search for money, material treasures and personal glory, or in other words: the throne of dust. However, these religions have very narrowed interpretations on this matter, because it's totally possible for an individual to achieve balance on his life, being a gambler and at same time not putting this practice above everything else in his life, including God.

Many will say the same, but I guess it is because they aren't into Bible reading that deep, I understand but it is not true that there is no where in the Bible that says that gambling is a sin.

The first Timothy 6:9, 10 says the following..

Gambling even with the smallest amount can arouse a destructive love for money.

Isiah 65:11 says the following....

Gamblers often rely on superstitions or luck. However, God views such beliefs as a form of idolatry, which is incompatible with his worship.

When something isn't compatible with your God's worship that makes it a sin, some part sounds like protection of the people from destruction too but all saying the same thing.

Here is another, from the book of Galatians 5:26, it says

Gambling can arouse an unhealthy competitive spirit, which is disapproved in the Bible.

So now are we going to keep saying that there is nowhere in the Bible that says gambling is a sin?

I'm really not happy with the way you choose to misquote the bible all in the name to prove points, it is completely useless and this shows that you are not a Christian by religion and in a way be against it. The bible only talks about excessive love for money that triggers a get rich quick scheme which implies disobeying the commandments (like stealing and more) but no where did the bible talk about gambling.

People now see religion differently, the deal to one's eternity is something personal and not a matter of any religion. Religion is just like a step/guide towards achieving that eternity, so there are rules being laid by the fore rulers to help us in this our journey, this rules keeps us on the better part so we do not mistakenly fall into breaking those commandments. So I do not see how religion should affect me gambling.
As we can see the quotations from The Bible, no one of them forbids gambling, but alerts to the possibility of triggering excessive behavior or desire on the heart of the gambler for disfunctional practices which will put the search for money above everything else in his life. Words like "can" and "often" indicate us that, although none of them clearly states gambling will be destructive in every cases. If the individual can control his impulses he is fine to maintain gambling as a functional practice in his life, and that is what matters.
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is boxing the worst sport to bet on? on: May 21, 2024, 09:22:59 PM
It really makes you think, if the international body of boxing is so corrupt, can you imagine the corruption that would be going on individually promoted events and closed leagues as the liked of UFC?
Corruption is everywhere and you can find related news regards every other sports we can also bet on. It's not an exclusivity of boxing category, unfortunatelly. It would be so much easier if we could simply consider one sport to be cursed for all the corruption, while we would be free of risks when betting on other available sports around... The fact is that nowadays nobody is safe from betting on a fixed match. Have you seen the accusations made recently inside soccer industry as well?

I believe what we can do in order to avoid being cheated is to prefer betting on reputable and main leagues of a determined sport. And even in this case you shouldn't get surprised at all if you find later the games (of part of them) were fixed. Corruption is part of the human nature since the primordial times of disobedience done by the man against God, although it seems to have been heavily inflated these days in comparison to previous periods of time.

And even those who complain about it wouldn't think twice before executing the same shady acts if they had the opportunity to do so in order to benefit themselves...
273  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Raising children in this current society on: May 21, 2024, 09:09:25 PM
As the new generations got more and more used to the contact with technology, the role of parents, teachers and advisors has been decreasing in importance on the bigger picture. Everything started with the 'baby boomer' generation, due to their contact with TV since an early age, but it has been intensifying since the 'millennial' generation, due to modern technological gadgets.

What happens is that before, children had contact only with the influences from their parents, family and community. It was much easier to control what kinds of influences those individuals would have over them. However, with TV and the media, and now with internet, children are under constant bombing of every kinds of influences which you can imagine. Some influences go exactly on the opposite of the ideals and principles of the parents of those children.

And if the children decide to absorb those influences, they are going to be under constant disagreements with their families, what has high potential to corrode the relations on long run, and even contribute to risky behaviors from the side of those children, in signal of rebeldy against their parents.

I believe people should be conscious of all these challenges before deciding to go ahead on the idea of having children these days, with so much difficulties and quarrels ahead, where sons are easily put against parents by external forces, like the media, for an example.
274  Economy / Economics / Re: How to improve your condition? on: May 21, 2024, 08:56:07 PM
I belong to a country where jobs are non-existent, offline work is not something that can earn more money with less work or even with more work, it has become very difficult to earn a living with dignity. Online jobs are not allowed in our country, especially trading, so my question is, what job can a person do and improve his condition?
It's so strange to hear it's forbidden to work online. Even in strict countries like China and Russia it doesn't look to be the case. Are you sure to not be exaggerating on the situation faced in your country? Because it looks like you don't want to see any alternatives after all.

But let's say what you say is exactly the situation faced in your country. If I were you I wouldn't bother breaking the rules to find work online and to make an income from it. I know the reality faced in poor neighborhoods is harsh, and to make money circulate in a weak economy like that is a big challenge, demanding a lot of time and effort from the individual. So if it's possible to find online opportunities to make an income, that is preferable.

There isn't a certain recipe for everyone, though. You have to dig by yourself and do your own research, like many of us did in past years when we finally found the opportunity to earn an income from signature campaigns on this forum. It has been a life changer for many users here, although the spots are pretty limited these days. The point is that there may be another opportunities available on the internet on another niches and websites. Look for them, until you find something suitable.

I remember to have started with PTC (paid to click) websites, where I didn't make even a penny daily, but I kept pursuing another alternatives. More important than finding is to keep searching for...
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another Dog🐕 themed memecoin LAIKA looks set to dominate.. on: May 21, 2024, 07:37:22 PM
Well, invest at your own risk... With so many identical alternatives of memecoins available so far, I see no reason why this LAIKA project should be seen as something special. By adopting such tokens you are actually gambling with your money, because there aren't any fundamentals to analyze why these tokens' acceptance and price should go upside. There aren't any reasons to justify a pump over these tokens besides pure speculation from crypto market. And speculation is always a very dangerous trail to follow, because at same time it leads you into profit, it can suddenly lead you to total loss in a very short period of time.

It's a completely different kind of investment when compared to Bitcoin and main altcoins which have some fundamentals, their own blockchains and long term goals to achieve side by side with the community of enthusiasts and institutional investors. When investing in memecoins, you are actually acquiring an empty product which isn't useful for anything at all... In the end, the meme is the investor who adopts these garbages. Tongue
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who's responsible for the dead coins? on: May 20, 2024, 05:19:22 PM
So, who's responsible when the Coins dies?
The correlation between supply and demand determines the fate of cryptocurrencies. In case of dead coins, it means there is zero demand for them, as no one is interested anymore. Then you can blame the developers for launching and offering something so useless that nobody is interested on it.

In fact, many of the dead coins were solely created with the purpose of launching temporary hype, so developers sell their personal holdings for quick profit, turning their native tokens into Bitcoin, stsblecoin or any other consolidated altcoins, while majority of investors (the late ones) see their personal investments melting to zero value by holding such useless tokens.

On the other hand, you can also blame the investors for being greedy to invest in a product fully dependant on speculation to survive.

After all, you can put the responsability over anyone or consider it just a natural process of a decentralized market. The most important here is to avoid investing in such tokens at all costs.
277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking to transition career into the Bitcoin industry on: May 20, 2024, 04:40:37 PM
There are many possibilities inside crypto market to stsrt working if you are already skilled on technological matters. Entrepreneurs tend to develop their own cryptocurrencies or launch their own crypto services such as exchanges, casinos and lending platforms. Although the opportunities are many, you must be also aware that competition is also present in large scale.

In order to develop a creative and innovative concept of business, you have to think by yourself to come up with the idea. After all, it wouldn't be a creative and innovative idea if people here on this forum had already the answer for this question.

Since you are already familiarized with the sector, it should worth to try getting a job opportunity with someone you already know from past jobs you worked on.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What need to follow to play the stress free gambling game on: May 20, 2024, 04:26:30 PM
Share your experience about this facts in your gambling games,if you have any other for the stress free game. You can share the experience,it may help some new gambler.
In order to play a stress free game, the first thing you should have in mind is to start a gambling session with a limited bankroll which consists in a sum of money you can afford to lose. That is, money you won't need later for fixed expenses or emergencies. By doing that you already removes part of the burden from your shoulders, so there shouldn't be any reasons to get stressed anymore, right?

And if even so the gambler is still concerned and stressed when betting, I guess it has something to do with the fact he is too avid for profit, meaning his concept of gambling is likely to be wrong or erroneous. He probably considers gambling part of his job. On the other hand, if gambling were simply a hobby for him, he wouldn't be stressed like that.

So the main key points are to play with money you can afford to lose and to interpret gambling as an entertainment, instead of a duty or job. By following these guidelines I see no reason why a gambler should be stressed anymore. Wink
279  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying Vs Renting a Home- Which is the right move? on: May 20, 2024, 04:01:29 PM
The right move in this case won't be the same for every individuals. It's all about your personal cronogram, objectives and perspectives. Renting isn't that bad considering a scenario where you are going to start an investment in Bitcoin meanwhile, right before a bull run starts. So with the profit made with your BTC investment, maybe you can acquire two houses instead of buying only one if you didn't decide to invest in Bitcoin.

What I would like to point, though, is that in most cases it will be always interesting to go for buying houses on long run, even if in the present moment it looks more interesting to rent one (for different reasons you might have in mind). By purchasing your own house, besides not being necessary to pay a monthly expense anymore (rent), you can also start making an income from it by renting your house to others, what means extra income.
280  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I want law and order back on: May 20, 2024, 03:47:36 PM
Those guys who do bigger crimes not problem they behave Nice and well mannered and behave nice Im not talking them Im talking about silly people who disturb others with their small silly crimes.
We need goverment power to make law and order
Lol, and why do you think the low rank criminals exist and keep acting continuously in a daily basis on many of our countries? It's everything due to those criminal bosses who behave nicely and who are on the top of pyramid. The low ranks feed the bosses, and all of them work together, directly or indirectly.

Corrupt countries are ran by criminals, who occupy the spots of authorities. So the citizens below them just follow the example of the authorities, while many other criminals are allowed to run their schemes (behind the curtains) by those same authorities. To wish fighting the low rank ones without attacking the root of the issue (the big ones) it's worthless.

In fact, common citizens can do nothing about it. The best you can do is to move yourself to a more civilized country or neighborhood. Good luck!
