261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrate RX 470 on: October 21, 2016, 07:14:57 AM
I think the reason why you are hashing so well over is because you have Hynix memory ! Mine, non Hynix (Elpida, right ?), are hashing at 28,6 MH/s for 95W.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrate RX 470 on: October 20, 2016, 10:22:10 AM
Thank you very much mate ! You changed my life ! For now, I'm at 30 MH/s at 110W. Do you have an Elpida memory or an Hynix one ?

If I remember correctly, you swore by the GTX 1070's a little while ago, does that make you a convert? Do you BELIEVE now?

Yeah, that's exact. What made me change is that I needed to replace my R9 380s, so I took RX 470 since they were really cheaper, and I like them now Grin. I still like Nvidia, but you need high investments at the beggining. Also, I've found that for the price of a 1070, you can have barely two RX 470s. The fact that I can get cards more often seduces me. However, I think I'll soon take a new 1070, to don't put all the eggs in one basket, because problem of AMD cards is that except Ethereum, you have nothing to mine, while with Nvidia, you'll always have something to mine for higher than the price bill.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: gtx 970 or RX 480 on: October 16, 2016, 10:29:40 PM

It depends of the retail price of each. The 8 Gb version is indeed better, and if there's only 20$ of difference, take the 8 Gb. If more, tell it here and I will help you choose.

Could you also tell me what are the other components you will use ?
120ssd
4
8gbram
990fxa ud3 r5 or asrock b85 aneversary
850watt PSU
6 RX470

Very nice. Take the B85, I have that one and I love it. I don't know the other one. For the CPU, don't ruin you, just take a G1820 or G1840. Now I'm waiting for the picture of the final build Smiley !

sorry bro i didnt reply cause there are some problem in my family
and thanks alot for for helping me.

i am buying this one

http://www.ebay.in/itm/191971183863

but this has only 1 fan will it work?

No problem mate. Yes, of course it will work, but simply hotter. To compensate it will run noisier, so don't put it in your sleeping room Cheesy !

Very very strange mate. Could you provide us the temperature they're running at ? That's the only missing value I think. Also, do they have a modded bios ?
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Should i choose... on: October 16, 2016, 10:01:59 PM
Choose neither. Litcoin mining with GPUs is dead already long time ago. Even if you had some weird free electricity argument, there would still have more profitable to mine.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My new XMR+ ETH thread builds info and other stuff thoughts and photos included. on: October 16, 2016, 10:00:00 PM
I just figure out how to get more out of my system!!!   Grin

Overview:

-total system hashing  = 169.6mh
-each gpu hashing  = 28.3mh
-ave card wattage = 67W
-total system Watts = 831W (At the Wall)
-total system Amps = 6.91A (At the Wall)
Efficiency per Card = W/Mhs = 67/28.3 =2.37 (Less is better)
Efficiency per system = W/Mhs = 831/169.6 = 4.90 (Less is better)

You're setup is a killer ! Me I get around 29 MH/s perd card for an average wattage of 110W. Comparing it to yours, it means I can get a lot farther.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrate RX 470 on: October 16, 2016, 05:09:07 PM
Its a HP DPS1200 (1000W@120V, 1200W@240V) PSU. (It's not the platinum one). But its still running fine on all the other cards.

Maybe i'll buy a new one just to be sure.

I have achieved 25.5Mhs @ 57Watts on the MSI RX 470 4Gb.  Is there another low wattage solution that has a higher Mhs for the MSI RX 470 4Gb?

Could you please be kind enough to share it to me ? I'm now at 22 MH/s at everything stock on Sapphire RX 470 4Gb (got the cards that afternoon so not really used to it for now).

Here you go buddy:
Low Energy RX470 4G 28+ Mh/s Sapphire Nitro+ OC HYNIX VRAM Boysie's Bios Mod Ethereum Mining:

For my second motherboard, I took an ASRock B85, and so far I'm satisfied of it. I would recommend it to you, as it is like a newer version of the legendary ASRock H81 Pro BTC.

Overpriced.

Will dump to hell once hits major exch's.

But good returns for those who mined/got in, congrats.

Not mandatorily. For one of the rare times, you a really useful new technology. It can go higher I think.

0.025 is my target.. Smiley

0.05 is mine Cheesy

What if 0.1?

Generally, when people start to post Lamborghini pictures, the project is doomed and crash soon... But Zcoin is something else, that stand appart Cool !

Were GPU miners released or something ? Hashrate is now to a huge 1700 kH/s Shocked !

All the altcoins are now bitting the dust due to Bitcoin's rise. There's not much to be said here.

Too noisy scam accusations... Looks like some haters want to spread FUD badly.

We cannot be sure this is not scam, but we can be pretty sure there are people who badly want us to believe this is scam.
And those people are really active. I would tell they are too active. That's very suspicious Smiley

maybe its scam, maybe its some big thing. Maybe both. Time will show, anyway. Meanwhile... mining this  Grin

Frankly, code is law. If there's no premine, then the only I thing I can say is that it is not a scam.

thanks all bros for help me

ok one more question which brand of RX480 will give me good hashrate like ASUS or GIGABYTE OR SAPPHIRE

Sapphire is the best I think. So many people including me use them here. They're cheaper, have a good cooling, a nice aspect (might be worthless to some but not to me) and have ball-bearing fans that will make them last longer.

for 6 RX480 which PSU sufficient?

RX 480 has a TDP of 150W, so 6x150=900. To be sure, I would at least take a 1000W, of at least a golden efficiency. However, I do strongly recommend a 1200W one, or two 750W is the best for me. That would allow you some spikes and some overclocking.
thanks again bro
should i go with 750+650 PSU
or 650+650
because i need to lower my invesment

650+650 is far enough my friend. Do however take care of taking a good efficiency PSU, since from bronze to gold, you're saving 10% off on the electrical bill !
However, I tend to prefer the RX 470. Could you tell me why you prefer to go with RX 480s ?

so u mean i go with RX470? which one 4GB or 8GB
how much hashrate i willget from 470?

I'm not saying you to go with RX 470. Maybe you have good reasons with RX 480. Could you please tell me why you chosed those ones ? Do you have an high electricity rate ?

no bro i dont have any good reason for 480
some said me that 480 is best so i asked here.
ok so i am going with rx470 and i searched that it consumes less power than 480

That's why I took those ones. A lower TDP by about 50% (110W vs 150W), that mean also less bigger PSUs but there's also a lower retail price. Less consumption and less initial investment makes it the best for me. All that good points are only to mix with 2 MH/s less Cheesy ! I ordered three today for these reasons Wink !

Sooooooooooo, I modded my Win 7 to get all 6 card working. Now i'm stuck at 5 with one with the error code 43. (H81 BTC PRO)

I'm using the onboard video card to boot the pc and i think it might take the last spot...

I tried to deactivate the video card on board and plug only 1 card into the 16x connector with a riser BUT the riser is a 1X-16x ... I see the Bios but that's it. It won't boot.

Do i need a 16x to 16x to be able to bypass the onboard video card or I should be able to use the onboard + my 6 cards ?

Thanks

Herb

Did you tried switching from the CPU video chip to the VGA/HDMI system of one of your cards ? You can do it in the BIOS menu. I think it is what you need here from what I've understood.

279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia 1070 Setup on windows to improve hashrate on: October 09, 2016, 07:10:00 PM
I won't be able to answer all your questions, since even if I have a 1070 myself, I never used it to mine Monero (that idea wouldn't even cross my mind). However, I can tell you that the memory plays a role in some kind of altcoins, and not the least, the Hashimoto ones (Ethereum and its forks). The best version of ccMiner is for me the latest, 1.8.3 for now. To increase performances, you can play with difficulty and intensity, but since you have powerful cards and the ability to overclock them, it has no utility I think.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for the best configurations for my miner on: October 09, 2016, 07:05:08 PM
So for now, I have a 970 and 1070 in a rig. I'm getting 420 MH/s from those two, at around 260W. Does someone has ideas to improve this without damaging the cards with too much OC or running them at near no electrical cost but to get pennies ?

420MH? I'm sure you meant 42. but you can try undervolting and overclocking. you can also mod them and switch the BIOS.

Oh my bad ! I forgot to state that it was on LBRY. It seems I though it was evident, but it isn't. I'm looking for precise value for the overcloking and the undervolting. I can easily increase the hashrate by 10%, but the underclocking part isn't working. GPU-Z still gives me the same TDP use.

Each card is different and you will have to find out the limits for your cards. maybe you won the silicon lottery. usually a 10% increase in clockspeed results in close to 10% more hashrate, not sure if it's true for LBRY's algorithm.

And I wouldn't trust GPU-Z for the wattages. get a kill-a-watt if you want precision.

My wattmeter is on the go, but it won't arrive until next week, so for now, I need to use what I have under hand Tongue. I have in some way "won the silicon lottery" with my Samsung memory card. So I guess that until I manage to have my wattmeter, I won't be doing anything interesting since I want to increase the clock speed but without changing the power consumption.
