261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Favoritism vs Addiction on: March 06, 2019, 02:47:20 PM
Both terms look quite the same but there’s a little difference. I would use myself for example, if there is a special game that I just like for certain reasons and I could spend so much time and even money I would call that my favorite game but when I can no longer control the pull, that even when am failing and the gaming is affecting every of my activities and yet I do not mind, that is when that particular game it becomes an addition.

The point here is one can actually be a gambler but not addicted. Just that ability to control, Knowing when to pull out, knowing when to stop but anyone who cannot not control even when they are not succeeding is already addicted and might probably be needing a little help. It is nothing wrong to have a favorite gambling game but it is a little bit wrong to become too addicted
262  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Public sale or pre ICO? can't decide on: March 06, 2019, 01:49:55 PM
I would advise you to invest in STOs instead of ICOs, since STO have a regulated body which regulate their activities and also these companies carrying out STO are always well known company that has a working project already, I believe this will give you more confidence to invest without thinking it's a scam, but if you insist on ICO, then I will tell you to make purchase in presale so that you can make more profit.
This is the best way to invest for now because most ICO will eventually lose value as a result of the steps being taken by security exchanges to clamp down on them even though their activities of ICOs cannot be regulated, most ICOs nowadays are basically scam and does not have anything to protect the interest of investors except on trust.

At least with STO, most of the blockchain communities will be obliges to follow government regulations thereby given the investor assurance of investing in a safe way.
263  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did i just lose all my bitcoin cash ? on: March 06, 2019, 01:06:27 PM
It looks like you tried initiating a transaction that requires you sending bch to a particular address and the address you copied, you have to investigate if it is the right address that you copied and I do hope you have not mistakenly send your money to a wrong account because if you have, it might be quite difficult to retrieve it back since crypto currency is not like the normally FIAT currency where you can work to a local bank to complain. It is still possible to retrieve it though if the transaction went to an invalid mail, just try to contact them to see if it can be resolved.
264  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: small gains but cant make it big on: March 06, 2019, 08:26:15 AM
The current market is not the one that we can say that we can take 100% or more profits. This market is more suited to get 10 -20% profits and then exit the trade. If we greed for more, then there are chances that the coin may not go further higher and we may experience the dump.
I usually focus on taking small profits from the trades.
It is also a very good strategy, to earn little and to accumulate, it is very intelligent, since you see the trade as a business. Currently there are many people who want to become millionaires from one day to another with bitcoin, that is very difficult, almost impossible.
But the author f this post doesn’t want to go through the stress of accumulating the little from the altcoins he has been trading.

I think he believes that one cannot make it big accumulating little from those altcoins which I believe is quite getting it wrong, he might make it big accumulating from that little depending on the number of times he gets in and out of a trade a day, if he trade those coins 20 times a day with profit continuously for the period of time the coin is still functional, I think he should be able to make 20x of his investment within a year.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is DASH still a good long term viable project? on: March 05, 2019, 04:44:05 PM
Thinking about buying some DASH. I remember when it was all the rage. Does it still have relevance? How’s the project doing all in all?
DASH is a very good and reliable long term project even though the price has gone down too just like every other crypto currency has a result of this bearish trend but I believe it will pick up too like every other coin during the BULL TREND, so it still very relevant and reliable, just that it’s still among high coins in prices for now but no quantity is too little to invest with on any coin.

I personally have about 5 DASH which I even bought when the price was extremely high though I later sold one when I need cash.
266  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do most of You Traders just use a Laptop for trading with??? ? on: March 04, 2019, 03:32:34 PM
I often use Laptop for my trading which is still the best but I sometimes use my Iphone/Ipad on the go when I don’t have access to my laptop and when I don’t put my stop loss tool in place.

I also connect my desktop too sometimes to my 55 inches screen when I feel like having a wider screen but all these are just extra personal things and not all necessary, the most important of it all is to have your laptop or mobile phone coupled with your skills of technical and fundamental analysis.
267  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you need in A Cryptocurrency Exchange ?! on: March 02, 2019, 05:00:09 PM
I do prefer transparent , security and decentraliziation.  If and exchange can be Build on the foregoing I think I will seriously like it.  The security of the exchange platforms is very important and we can see how much has been lose through hack on exchange in the past because of lack of security.
Money matters, it's our hard earned money so what we wants is the security inside the exchange where we will be exchanging and do our trades,
with continuous updates and progress regarding to security exchange might be appealing to me, together with customer assistance if centralized
exchange.

Protections of assets, making sure that everything is safe against intruders and hackers.
It’s not only bitnex mate, we have quite a number of exchanges that has these facility in place, bitfinex is also good but I recommend binance. They give opportunity to trade in margin and give you an option of placing stop and loss.

The most important thing is for the user of any particular exchange to understand the terrain, check for pros and cons before using an exchange as most of them tells you they offer this service and you get to know they don’t once you register with them or put in your money for trading.
268  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance traders are making more money than other traders on: March 02, 2019, 04:30:33 PM
People are mistaking cause and result here all the time. Are you guys not reading the article at all? The reason why people in binance making profits more than other places is the low fee involved in trading at binance, when a place has that much volume compared to others and still take less fee that comes down to traders making more profits of course, it is just simple mathematics.

When you have a place with daily 1 million dollar volume and taking 0.25% or so fee from the trading and a place has 2 billion dollar volume taking 0.05% from the fee you can see why the people at binance is making more profits and by large. If humanity started to move into more DEX type of system with lower or no fee at all and the volume rises there we will see people making profits in those places as well.

This comment is correct. Thank you for sharing so more people could understand the purpose of the article.
I agree with you but we also need to understand that Binance has the largest trading volume in 24hrs and they are also the largest crypto exchange in the world, they make more profit less than other exchange no matter how little they charge.

If other exchanges with low trading volume charges low the way binance does, many of them would have packed up by now due to lack of maintenance since it’s the charges they use in running the exchange center. We also need to consider the fact that binance does not only make money through trading alone, they make through deposit and withdrawal fees too.
269  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fighting your own FOMO on: February 28, 2019, 06:47:26 PM
Human nature is full of greed, and FOMO.  Not just in trading but in life as well.  And once you recognize it for your trading, you can recognize it in your day to day life as well, and fighting it can help you deal with every day situations with more rationality and logic.

What sort of psychological tricks do you use on yourself to combat your own FOMO?  Do you still get your own FOMO hitting you when you see a coin blowing up all over the place?

Myself, I practice JiuJitsu as well have learned good meditation from a solid instructor, but the most help I have is from support from fellow traders in a good community.  Hahaha like a support group!
Anything called money brings Anxiety, as it is now, virtually everyone is anxious about the waves expected of this year bitcoin be it trader or an investor, but when it gets to trading, I usually don’t allow my emotion take the best of me, I already set my mind on successful trading and don’t allow greed in, I take my profit when due no matter how little even if I see it rise far above the profit I took, it is better to win than to loose.

I also read more of great analyst news with great hopes on the coin I invested in, I don’t read negative news at all, one I see one through the headline, I skip it. Since I do my technical analysis with various indicators available to me, I don’t think I need to read any bad news that the good one.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will POS become the norm and replace POW forever? on: February 27, 2019, 01:04:24 PM
Yes, Absolutely POS will completely replace POW, soon in near future. I think it's weird when some coins are stick to POW, when they can just using POS. POW is really source-consuming, in all term, computing, electricity. Thus by that, it also make POW are less environmental-friendly. Right now, everything in this world are moving forward to the path of energy saving and environment-friendly, and I think crypto will follow.
Yes, PoS will basically take out the issue of requiring the processing power and the energy to complete the PoW calculation.

Generally, PoS is by all means a better solution to POW antilogarithms  and more superior arrangement as it will make the block chain more secure, definitely diminish its capacity utilization, and decrease the time it takes to make exchanges.

As you can see, Ethereum actually uses PoW but is scheduled to change to PoS soon. This is a clear indication that the replacement of POW with POS is certain as you rightly said.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will all altcoin return to zero in 2019?Money does not return to btc on: February 27, 2019, 08:44:23 AM
I want to buy some altcoin, but it feels too expensive. Will altcoin stage the trend of zeroing in 2019?
like 2015
Most of the pump garbage and aircoin still have a high market cap
Iota xem neo tron vechain
Money does not return btc how the bull market started?
Those ones that looks expensive are actually the best to buy and I think the ones that are expensive now are the major altcoins, there are still lots of very cheap altcoins out there that you can buy for a  very little usd and get a great value but the credibility of the project should be looked into before purchasing.

Some other altcoin in the market has really fallen compared to last year or when they first did their ICO and I don’t think this bull run as affected any of them yet.
272  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Forex trading or crypto trading and stock exchange? on: February 27, 2019, 08:15:04 AM
It all depends on how you operate in the market, I prefer the cryptocurrency market because it moves a little faster due to volatility.

In the Stock Market movements occur very slowly and in Forex I have not reviewed that market much but I imagine that it does not have changes as sudden as those of cryptocurrencies.
among the three types, I think, I am the kind of person who always collects and holds assets to wait for high prices. well, maybe I'm the type of Stock exchange trading. well, I think, among those three things, Stock exchange trading has a not so big risk.
Stock exchange is for an investors like you and not a trader, stock is without risk and this also exist in crypto currency too, you can decide to strictly be n investor by just HOLDING your coins rather than trading it, it is lot easier and have less risk, this is for those that have other sources of income to sustain them for a long time while they await their investment to yield result, in forex trading, you can’t HODL your currency without trading it, forex traders takes advantage of the fluctuations in the market to trade and make money, I don’t think this exist in stock though I am not much of a stock person.
273  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Panic selling and postpone from trading, which one is the worse one? on: February 27, 2019, 07:35:26 AM
In order to stand out among all, one of the most critical and important thing a bear market investor can do is to keep away from being frenzy. Panic selling is virtually an emotional response to fear and rarely involves proper reasoned and patient analysis.

The market might be down without a doubt, however to the forward reasonable people, a bear market can be the purchasing chance of a lifetime. Most times, panic selling will definitely get out of hand that exchanges halt trading until the individual gets his or her heads together. You really tend to gain more when you don’t engage in panic selling.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why I Don't Do Bounty Campaigns & Why You Shouldn't Either on: February 26, 2019, 08:46:34 PM
It can be very frustrating when you spend so much time and energy creating post and contents only for one not to get the deserved pay but at the same time for the purpose of those who do not have money to purchase coins or tokens the only hope is to keep working on bounties while they hope they get good ones that would pay the deserved earnings.

So I do not completely participation in bounty programs. This is still the best and fastest way to get coins for those who do not have money to invest.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run for all? on: February 26, 2019, 08:03:12 PM
The bull run will definitely not be for all, it depends on the altcoins, the project and the team managing, you might holding a coin with an abandoned project already which bll run will have no effect on, this bull run happening might be like the time of 2017 when suddenly some of my alcoin rose to 15000 usd from 2300 usd, only 12 coins out of the 55 coins I was holding then made this happen and you have to be very careful not to wait for those shitty coins to determine when to take your profit or not, this is based on personal experience, I failed to withdraw the 15000 usd while waiting for other coins too to rise, till the value went down again.

277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you use diversification? on: February 21, 2019, 10:41:27 PM
I think that while your token has a good price that allows you to earn - sell it and make investments in another promising project that will help you earn extra money. This has its risks; you can invest in several projects to reduce risks.
In the cryptocurrency to earn you need to constantly move forward and reinvest your profits in new projects.
Yes, we must go for diversification always. Let us just buy a lot of coins and hodl for years forgetting about what the price is currently, I am a freelancer and I always get paid in bitcoin, I make sure I store 10% of my payment in bitcoin for the future. Lets stop this price check all the time and come together as a community to discuss on how we can make this our great community better than it is today.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What made you fall in love with crypto? on: February 21, 2019, 10:23:19 PM
The option of gaining more value in long term had attracted myself. Yes, I love the concept of holding. Because, it will cause scarcity in supply which in most case is a good move, because traders will be pushed to set buy order at a very high price. Hodling our btc will cause a massive push in the price of bitcoin but I don't think it's realistic because the bitcoin market is a big one and you can't compel anyone to hodl his/her coin when they want to dump it.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crime Effect of Gambling - Your thoughts! on: February 21, 2019, 10:09:21 PM
Personality can only be changed if the person in questions morals character is questionable. This is because if you are a discipling person no matter what comes your way money can't and should not change who you are.
This is the reason it is banned in many Muslim countries and few others. This is something that the state does not allow you because after you loose all your money in gambling, you have nothing left and there comes the responsibility of the state to fund you. So according to the paternity law, the state has the right to enforce the regulations upon you.
Banning gambling is not completely effective after the introduction of online gambling. This is the reason why crime rate and addiction rates are keeping increasing in most countries. Young generations are seeming highly irresponsible about their duties and everything whereas governments also helpless in this regard. Only spreading awareness against gambling alone may bring changes to those young generations.
280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler's mindset! on: February 21, 2019, 09:37:25 PM
once a gambler, always a gambler!
i really dont believe on this. people can change for the better, if they finally decide to stick to their plans.
but once you are in gambling, you feel different. been in casinos and played a lot also.
Sticking with plans will not be possible for any gambler as the adrenaline rush will never allow you to think about yourself so that you can control yourself. You may remain like you are missing something. When you are not with your full consciousness, it would be very hard to follow a plan. A gambler's mind set will explain how dangerous the gambling is. I am not sure why people are playing it and then wasting their money but never quitting it for the reason of wasting their money but always want to get back to it. It is really a mystery.
