261  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can Bitcoin be a full time career for investors? on: April 16, 2024, 02:11:43 PM
As we all know there are many investors that doesn't work for anybody rather than relying on their businesses and investment as their full time career and as well as depend on the return on their investment for the sustainabilities. So i wish to ask if Bitcoin has the potential that investors can rely on as full time career considering the inevitable uncertainty that are involve in Bitcoin investment such as difficult in price prediction and the volatile nature of the system which may pose some kind of difficulty to have adequate
Knowledge and better understanding of the system.

Yes or no.

Yes if you have long experience of everything about crypto and you know how also where to invest your asset since for sure that you can earn multiple profit especially if you are  a whale.

No for the fact that market is volatile and that's add up the risk especially if you are a new guy so for sure you might provably commit a mistake that can cause a lot of money to you or to other people so with that everything is not sustainable.

So before on concluding on something risky much better for a aspiring investor to learn first on what they are trying to enter. Also they should not take any rush decision since they see someone earning a lot of money since for sure that their result is different and much better if you just take it as side income generating investment.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 16, 2024, 12:29:44 PM
If they have the money, they can. But just balance all of those players and teams unlike PBA, they're saying they have salary cap but it's all just a show and greater and superstar players are receiving more than the cap.
There's always a thing called "under the table", if they really think he is very valuable to the team, then they could give that salary. I don't follow MPBL a lot but since they have been considered as a pro already, that means they are into business for long term and whow knows one day they'll overtake PBA and they'll be the best league in the Philippines.

Greg is actually 35 years old already, I don't think he deserve that kind of salary because he is nearing the retirement age. That article might just be hype and readers buy the story.
Yeah, that under the table is making sense in the PBA. It's not a secret that it's happening mostly in MVP and SMC teams, they don't even want to trade those players as they're closed with contracts until they finally end and no longer in use for the team. Just like what happened with Greg, his contract ended and got an offer to play in B League but because he can't stay there for so long and want to be with his family, it's good to see him play on MPBL and has still a good offer and contract.

That under the table deals will totally kill the interest of fans to watch PBA and we can already see its effect right now since we can see that there's so less interest of people to watch the live games even if the team playing is Ginebra or other strong teams in the League. Luckily Greg is already out on PBA and his on MPBL now since we maybe see a total fall down of PBA and it will be change by currently a hot league for filipino fans which is MPBL.

If their commissioner will continue to favor those three big companies on the league for sure the oldest basket league in Asia will collapsed.
263  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: April 16, 2024, 10:28:35 AM

Profit making in bitcoin might not be as mouthwatering as it is in other shitcoins if you are investing with little assets, but you are sure of your investment and profits as well.

Seriously,  shitcoins shouldn't even be put next to Bitcoin. Because, what for? Bitcoin is an investment, and shitcoins are simply means to lose money. Please, let's minimize how we talk about shit here. Unless we're making references, to promote Bitcoin. Because that's what this thread is about.

Actually just like @JayJuanGee mention we should abstain from always talking about shitcoins is goes contrary to the reason of this thread because lately shitcoins discussion has been diverting so many people attention from what was supposed to be the main reason why we are all here in this thread however reasoning in different perspective even if we should talk about shitcoins there is nothing good will come out of it instead it will loses, so it will be very good for us to focus on the reason of this thread because Bitcoin is actually one of the best thing in terms of investment that has ever happened to me so it will always remain my favorite and I will keep accumulating and holding with the believe that the future will be worth holding.

Shitcoins diverting the attention of people then they promise something unrealistic which the only owners of those project will benefit that's why its really a bad choice if people will look at it as part of their investment since instead they can maximize their investment in bitcoin they come up short its because they lose a large part of their capital on those shitcoins which main intention is to scam people.

I know that its good to have multiple income streams but this discussion is different if you go on a altcoin that give you more huge chance to lose. That's why we need to think more smarter on this so that we can avoid those costly mistake and can make sure that our bitcoin volume will grow more since this could give us more good result. Bitcoin will surely be the number one favorite since this coin only show realistic growth and the potential to grow is so huge.
264  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1xBet Biggest Scam and Violation of Terms on: April 16, 2024, 08:36:28 AM
I don't think it's just a question of laziness but it's also a question linked to the fact that as a platform they are advertised on practically any site that has a reputation, this creates an aura of trust which rightly leads users to trust and deposit here.
Moreover they offer the chance to play in minor leagues with many odds available...all these factors lead people to play here and not make any search.
Whatever you stated effectively proved what I said. Those gamblers blindly believe these sites thanks to their popularity and don't bother to do their own research implying how lazy they truly are.

Smart gamblers do all sorts of research before gambling in any casino to make sure that they won't have any kind of regrets later on.

This is the effect of trusting those platform since this is been advertised by their favorite personalities or those teams they followed and immediately they say that this is legit since they are carrying its logo and unfortunately will not bother to do any research.

These people will only realize their mistake once they experience the worst thing that they didn't imagine to happen and we can see that those scamming is really happening that's why its important for people to have critical thinking since their favorite online personalities will not help them if they experience to get scam as they only care about the money they can get from promoting this casino.

Smart gamblers should really do a research and since we are dealing online for sure there's huge risk will follow us that's why even if the casino is famous its important for us to know if they are really reliable and no pending issues has still exist on them or if people who experience to gamble on their casino is really satisfied with their service provided to them.
265  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 www.l0tt0.com ⚡ casino games like you've never seen! 🏆 on: April 15, 2024, 11:53:40 PM
What is everyones take on a legit casino creating its own token/coin? Let's obviously assume liquidy is solid and there is no fuckery going on.
I dont like the idea of l0tt0 token, except if I am the owner of most token supply, and than I can dumpt them on everyone  Grin
There are some casinos I used with their own tokens but it was never anything significant and price was always going down.

Well maybe it depends on who handle it and also casino creating their own token it became a trend recently. Maybe they see that some of the casino is successful for launching it and try to follow what they have done to earn extra funds maybe to get a profit or to have additional money to operate their business. But seeing the situation on some casino tokens then maybe we can really find it disappointing especially if we are one of the investor and hold this for long time.

But for l0tt0 token well maybe I give it a chance since it still depends on how they present it to investor and if they owners can convince us to accumulate their created token.
266  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The dangers of AI to us as they can be use for crypto stealing malwares on: April 15, 2024, 12:53:28 PM
When there was a development in computer software, which made all current capabilities available, there was a development in online crime. Viruses of various kinds appeared, which led to the emergence of a market for antiviruses and cybersecurity companies. We are witnessing a revolution in artificial intelligence applications, which will inevitably lead to the emergence of AntiAI, and currently there is Programs to identify fake images and AI-generated texts are available so it is only a matter of time before we see more sophisticated tools.
If we get to pay more attention to the fears of hacks and scams, we may really not achieve much because just as you said, it implies that evil exist wherever there's good and just like an anti virus developed to combat malicious bugs and spyware virus, am very certain that there will be developed programs and software to combat AI related online crimes.

We need to verify always what we are trying to access since if we are not so careful for picking up anything unknown or unsure to us then provably we might encounter those problems that we don't want to experience. So as earliest as we can we should be aware on anything risk that can possible show up by using this AI technology since there will be a lot of people will abuse this especially if they know that they can take advantage on this technology and take a lot of money in return if they can fool people to believe on those lies they are trying to spread. A tool will be created to combat it? Maybe there might be something like this might be develop or there is a tool that exist. But what's important is we are aware on any potential attacks and by that for sure we are still safe.
267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar being addicted to online poker on: April 15, 2024, 11:49:06 AM
Without a doubt this does not really look good for Neymar, I mean if you were to capture him playing at any other time, you may think that he is just enjoying himself and nothing more, so you would have no reason to assume the worst at all, but when he is literally gambling on the birthday of his daughter, this could be a very strong evidence that his gambling is out of control, as there is not really too much of an excuse for a father to do something like this.

Yes, this is the case when things that are normal on their own look terrible in combination. If he can’t tear himself away from poker at such a moment, then this is of course a sign of addiction, but I don’t feel sorry for Neymar, I feel sorry for his daughter. Most likely she does not have a sense of emotional connection with her father and a sense of family. Plus, the fact that journalists are inflating this story will put additional pressure on her in the future.

To many fabricated issues just to sell it out to a lot of people and we don't know if this issue is really true since last time we read something that someone spreading that Bruno mars is been addicted on gambling but turns out not. That's why its hard to trust those medias or some random article we can see online since maybe they are just click baiting people so that they can get a lot of engagement.

But if this case is true then I guess he's far to be broke since the man is so rich and for sure he has a financial managers that could able to stop him when they notice to much on his gambling spendings. Maybe we can feel sorry to his daughter but its early to tell since maybe this is just pure speculation and maybe we will just waste our time if this is proven a fake news.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoin hype getting higher on: April 15, 2024, 09:28:24 AM
That's true op. Memecoin hype wasn't new, it started from shiba when $12 worth shiba turn into million and then dogecoin skyrocket and become in top10 list. After that, memecoin hype was started. But its true that, i experienced too much memecoins were keep launching since 2023 and so is happening in 2024. And you can see, these memecoins marketcaps are also huge.that indicates people are getting more serious and involving more with memecoin then before. But this is just a start cause when bull run will start in altcoin sector, many crazy things are waiting
I do believe that those marketing stunts that have been used through shiba and other meme coins through twitter was successful.
Whoever thought of that and did the execution was a genius and was able to garner a lot of attention from most investors that are wanting to quickly see their money grow. While the majority have already missed it but those that were able to make it, congratulations to most of you.

The fame gathered by those project are been used by certain new meme coins to attract a lot of investors since they want to leave an impression for all user that there's same like situation will happen to their new project that's why to many people got hype for thinking that they could able to earn a lot of money and they don't want to missed those new meme coins launched. This is risky since we know there's a lot of scams that's why we should never over expect on something risky since its hard to find a what they called gem. So much better for investors still taking all the risk to lower down their expectation and if there's a opportunity to sell then maybe they should do it before a dump or a dev will decide to abandon their tokens since for sure they provably lose all their money if that incident already happen.
269  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can you be bold enough To introduce your gambling Mate To your spouse on: April 14, 2024, 11:29:44 PM
Yesterday something happened I Was shocked And speechless, because I know quite Alright that I cannot even try it with My Wife . I Was standing patiently AT the Bus Station waiting for Bus with so many other Persons there Too with same reason , a man walked To bus Station with his Wife And he saw one of his friends sitting down with us and he shouted his name ‘charles’ you are here ,And immediately he Turned To his Wife ‘darling ‘ meet My Friend Charles we both play gamble AT same place And the Wife responded positively.

At that point I Was a bit confused If the man is actually proud To announce To us that he is a gambler or If he does not have any other way of introducing his Friend to his Wife , though I kept every of My thought in My mind because speaking it out will not make any difference.however, the question here is ‘can you be bold enough to introduce your gambling mate to your wife’.

Nothing wrong to be a gambler actually and it depends on how a person deal with it. If he portrays something abusive and other harmful thing then that's how you should start not to be proud of yourself. But if you came clean and can able to provide your obligation then show to other person that gambling didn't give much bad effect but rather it give you some happiness since it exercise your brain then all is fine. Maybe that guy is really open with all activity he participated that's why he's so confident that nothing will be change and the wife can give a good approach to deal with such situation on nice way. Also I can introduce my gambling buddy to my wife as long as I know the person I introduce to her is harmful and deserve to be known so that no secrets will happen and she knows who are those persons I am dealing with when the time I decide to gamble with my friends around.
270  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Shuffle.com | The next generation of crypto casinos | Sports, Casino + token on: April 13, 2024, 09:47:16 AM

One thing I wondered about Shuffle is, why don't they support 2fa?
I mean sure, when you log in they send you some 2fa code to your email but if someone's shuffle password is compromised and the "hacker" also has the password for the email account this security is basically useless.

It's much safer to use real 2fa via google, authy or what not.

Is there any long term plan to implement real 2fa? This would really improve the security for players in my opinion.

I also notice this but it seems this is not a concern by other people since they continue to gamble without worrying about this.

But since you raised this topic then maybe its really better if Shuffle add this 2fa feature since somehow this is add another security features on some peoples account especially if they are whales since this can make hard to access by some people trying to penetrate of someone's accounts. But let see if they take consideration on your suggestion since its really nice to add that since we see this been implemented on some platform and they are really fine with this.
271  Economy / Economics / Re: Better Money: Gold, Fiat, Or Bitcoin? on: April 13, 2024, 08:21:06 AM
Listen what this Austrian Economics / Mises Institute author of a book titled Better Money: Gold, Fiat, Or Bitcoin? says here:

https://youtu.be/g7vI957pg7U&t=2597

Quote from: author of «Better Money: Gold, Fiat, Or Bitcoin?»
I don't see any reason to think that the price of Bitcoin is going to be predictably higher in the future.
🤦‍♂️

People can't generalize on what's better asset for whole individual to have since people have different preferences on what investment they like to take.

Since maybe have different expertise since there talent on investment on those asset has been shaped up by their environment that's why they are good to make their profit grow on some assets they choose to invest on that option you give. Some may good handling their fiat to put it up on good businesses and other investments. Some may also good on hoarding golds then have patience to wait for long and same goes with bitcoin where everything goes good at long years past so its just how people choose what path they want to take since there knowledge can determine on what they like and what target they want to be in future.
272  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to handle emotions when you lose during trading. on: April 12, 2024, 02:09:09 PM
These are some methods and practices I think traders could use in controlling their emotions when they lose while trading, you could give your opinions or add more if you got any, also I'm open to corrections so feel free to include some corrections in any statement you feel I'm wrong.
One of the things that makes traders to go so emotional is when they use a big amount of money to trade. Greed has always been the reason why people many traders trade with them amount that they can't afford to lose thinking thst they will be able to make profit so fast and they end up losing good amount of money because their understanding about trading is not good enough.  The most important thing that traders don't need to take for granted is to know the right amount which is needed for trading.

A lot of traders go into trading to trade with the amount that they can't afford to lose and doing this always makes one to be emotional when money is lose in trading .

People come up on a idea that they can easily get a good stretch on their capital especially if they put all their money on the trades they made. And sometimes they won but  also sometimes they fail that's why we can see them keep coming back to do this actions since they know that there's something to expect here.

If people want to avoid more bigger problems then maybe they should start eliminate the fear in them and go to the right person that can teach them on how they can possibly teach to became a pro. Traders should not go beyond on their capacity like they only trade what they can afford to lose at that time, since for sure their experience towards trading is satisfying especially if they develop some useful attitude that can help them to do good trades..
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: April 12, 2024, 12:19:41 PM

Inoue's team mentioned before that they will take 2 to 3 title defenses and then they might consider moving up again to 126. I am also expecting Inoue to move up in weight next year.

The difference though is Haney is still young and he just moved up in his second weight division while Inoue already is 6 divisions above once he enters 126. But it should be doable. However I guess 126 is Inoue's final division as he is already in his early 30s. It will be more risky to continue moving up in weight while fighting bigger and heavier opponents.

As long as the boxer can take his power in the higher weight category that's still fine, it will only be stopped once they can hurt their opponents in their new weight division, like in the case of Canelo against Bivol, so Inoue can challenge himself and go further, until he is stopped by one of the top boxer in that division.

We don't know how far Inoue can go because he is a very disciplined fighter and he has good skills featherweight will be the most challenging division, when Pacquiao was campaigning in the lightweight I thought he could not hold out but he proved that he was an extraordinary until he reaches the super welterweight.

Even if he is so discipline, his body has limitation as how far he can get it to mature and put added poundage. Manny is very different, it was like his genes is build for boxing. I will agree that maybe at 126 lbs, Inoue could have pushed his body already.

But let's see if he moves up in that division and see how his performance is. Maybe there is power still in both hands, but the competition is obviously getting harder and tougher and at 5'5 in height, he could be physically at a disadvantage.

The only thing I doubt about Inoue is what will be his performance outside Japan since he always fight inside his homecourt which give him advantage. Maybe if he can able to fight on US and take those big opponents then maybe we can really compare his greatness to Pacquiao just like what other people say that he is more better than the legend. Many is really built different since he accept those big challenges on his career and we can say that they defeat those big names on the industry that's why he became well known and the only 8 division champ in history of boxing.

But lets try to see on what Inoue could able to do if he can still dominate if he go up. But its undeniable that he is so good, he just need to prove that he's more good by try to get out on his comfort zone and bet those well known guys in this era.
274  Economy / Economics / Re: Play to earn model vs move to earn model. on: April 12, 2024, 11:05:57 AM
Can the 'move to earn model' offered by a company like Sweatcoin, of whom are willing to pay tokens to users who have either sweated using the app while running or swimming, be a micro or macro solution to economic problems, if adopted on a large scale?

It's not a solution to anything. Microearnings have always been a waste of time. Only the poorest and most desperate people do them, and still it's not worth for them. They would have been better off spending that time on developing skills that could help them earn better money - these days you can learn almost anything on the Internet.

And even thinking about macroeconomic effects of microearnings is just funny.

People always believe on something easy for them to do then earn that's why they always get fucked up by those scammers pretending to create something innovative things that reward on every movements they make.

Maybe its better for people to ignore this especially if they need to buy something expensive NFT just to increase their earnings since usually they are just scam and they will fall the same with other scam gamefi which came out first after they gather a lot of money from people who believe that this is really great and for long term.
275  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io| 🔥Sign up on BetFury | 🤑Get Welcome Bonus up to 590% + 225 FS on: April 12, 2024, 09:19:45 AM
I agree with you that burning BFG tokens doesn't affect the price. The Betfury team could think about making it more effective. Suppose they could burn more tokens at least once every six months. For example, Betfury could burn 1% of the total supply every six months. I think that could positively impact the price of BFG, but the casino doesn't want to do it.

It's worth noting that the major part of BFG tokens burned monthly are tokens of the Betfury team. If I'm not mistaken, the Betfury team initially owned 20% of the total emission of BFG tokens, i.e. 1 billion tokens. So even if they decided to burn 1% of the total emission every six months, their reserves of BFG tokens would run out only in 10 years. Obviously, they aren't interested in burning tokens like that.

Its like they just have something to show up to their community then try to hype up with burning of token activities they done but now they see that it didn't give much any effect since people already know how to calculate things and find out that what they do cannot do something great to help BFG to get a raised. Obviously people are not much interested on token burning so maybe they should change their approach and create something unique plan so investors will not get tired waiting for them since if they don't do anything just to gain the interest of people maybe its hard for us to see BFG to get a good pumps in future. But I'm not saying that there's no hope for this token but if dev should do brilliant action maybe there's some changes will happen.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your pick for best altcoin for bull run of 2024 ? on: April 11, 2024, 01:29:19 PM
We are already witnessing the bull run of 2024. What is your pick for best altcoin for bull run of 2024 ?
I'll still go with the traditional choices of the many like going for ETH. Yeah, the fees are crazy and high and that only shows the sign that there are a bunch of folks that are using it and that's in demand. But I don't want to see it stay there because it can't be used for that much. Though, a lot of bridging projects are on it and makes sure that they're not missing the run and despite that issue, they're still not forgetting to run their projects as ERC20.

Traditional choices is the best option among the rest of the altcoins there since we already know that for so many market challenges they stay strong and their community is already solid for supporting this coins for long term. But unfortunately that many choose to invest on meme coins since they think its fast to earn money there due to some of those meme coins pump a lot. But they didn't realize that this token is just a hub or usual created by scammers that's why some got broke and some didn't meet their expectation since everything is falling since their investment with those meme coins sinks.

If they want trusted coins then its better for them to choose the top on the market. And if they want to avoid scams then its good for them not to tempt to invest on those alts since we know that nothing will be gain and we would just regret our decision why we put our money on those meme coins.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 11, 2024, 12:16:53 PM
As for the Lakers and Golden State Warriors. Wasn't it, it was the same last season that they're on the same seed or bracket?

The current results of the Lakers are really similar to what they had last year, but the Warriors' results are a little different. Last year, the Warriors performed a little better and finished 6th in the standings at the end of the regular season, i.e. they didn't participate in the play-in tournament last year.
p.s.
The Lakers beat the Warriors in the second round of last year's playoffs.

Chances that it will go the same as Lakers at that time Warriors beat them they don't have Davis which can potentially change the result. For sure there's a revenge mode will happen in play-in especially if Davis will go back on the line up. I don't know what how Warriors could handle it especially we know Lakers perform different especially in a must needed win game for them.

We can't assume that Lakers would beat Warriors on play in but for sure we can see a exciting match between this rival teams in West. Let see if we can see a similar like situation which Lakers beat Warriors on second round.
278  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: April 11, 2024, 10:05:31 AM
I do understand how other gamblers could feel as though their privacy is being sacrificed because of regulations implemented by having a license from the government but I think it also has some pros.

A license prevents a casino to suddenly do illegal activities that could harm their clients.
A license makes them not illegally operating. There are some casinos started out without having a license but don't have intention to engage with illegal activities thus, they became operational and eventually got their license. But also, you're right that it's a way to protect the users that the casino won't get into illegal activities but we don't even know nowadays. There are casinos and exchanges that are having some inside activities that aren't involving their customers but could be involved in money laundering.

Actually, Casino that accepts only cryptocurrency is not breaking any law if they don’t have any license to operate since cryptocurrency is not considered as money on most country.

The requirements of license will enter if they will allow fiat deposit through bank transfer or credit cards since fiat always need to be regulated. But a casino that offers pure crypto is not required to get license. Most of the casino just acquired license because they offer fiat deposit and at the same time to gain trust of players since license is one of the feature which players always looking forward before they play.

Its just they want to display something to show that their casino is compliant to the law so that people will be confident to trust the service they provide. That's why we are been oblige to submit this requirements since they are mandatory been asked to required this by government so they can successfully give all the requirements and get those documents. But in reality you have point regarding on your statement regarding about fiat since they will really be regulated with that.

I know to many people don't really like to proceed on a KYC process but if this will be required by a reputable casino then we will be forced to provide since if we don't do it then maybe we will get an issue or totally we can't gamble unless we can provide what they asked to us.

279  Economy / Economics / Re: how to survive inflation and economy hardship on: April 11, 2024, 09:03:15 AM
I'm not an economic expert here but the only thing we can do for now in order to fight against inflation and survive is to change our lifestyle in the simplest way especially if we are just a minimum wage earner. We also have to multiply our sources of income, invest more if we have money today, and not wait for the situation that we are in the struggle with how to do it especially if we are jobless. Perhaps, there are a lot of opportunities to earn money, we just need to leave from our comfort zones.
What you said above is correct, this is what everyone needs to do, in order to survive the inflation that is played every year by the government,  If we are not good at managing finances and increasing our income, we will certainly lose out on these life circumstances.

What you say is also true, if we have more money, it would be better if we invest the money in this way to protect the value of our wealth from inflation and Even if we invest by choosing the right assets, of course we will also get profits from that investment.

The simplest action to do with this case is to live within your means since if we exceed on our spending's and leave a luxurious life since we always think about we only live once then provably we really suffer for that attitude.

But if we know how we can asses or handle well our finances and if we see that we are always negative on monthly budget we allocate then find another extra job that can give us extra funds to use since if we just extend the efforts we made for sure we can live without getting any problem on how to find food everyday. Investment is really good and its crucial for people to find legit one so they should do a lot of research to know what's best for them and what is bad investment for them to avoid.
280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in casinos: Still a thing? on: April 10, 2024, 12:54:27 PM
We really never can tell, and for a casino company that might have been existing for years now but is not that popular for the main time might need little hand in terms of funds in order to keep their maximum winnings or withdrawals on the high side and meet up with their competitors, this staking with a higher reward (15% annually) might also be another marketing means to bring in people to the casino.
I wonder how much money is required to run a casino sustainably, but I believe a good casino platform doesn't need a lot of money to run and expand its products. I'm also a bit wary of any casino or platform that offers ludicrous investment deals and use it as their main expansion source. If they've been on the market for years, then they should run more marketing campaigns to grow and try to offer more unique products if they want to expand, not relying on an investment product which should be a secondary product of a casino. Shouldn't they get a lot of profits since they usually have a better edge compared to the players? Do shed light on this since I'm not familiar with the ins and outs of a casino business. Judging from how casinos run signature campaigns on this forum over the years though, I get the impression that investment from players are not their main driving force.

Don't see an updated article about that but lets make this article as a basis https://www.gamblingnews.com/blog/how-much-does-it-cost-to-open-a-casino/

Also maybe people plans to operate this needs more since a lot of factors need to consider since a lot of funds needed especially if you need to have good marketing campaigns to introduce your casino and funds for casino winners is needed so people will never get an issue when claiming their price. Lastly the money to spend for prize for contest you held since this is needed to make your casino attractive or competitive to other casino. A lot more need to look after and for sure that to be successful on this business those casino owners need also to spend a lot of money to catch the interest of people.
