BTC0.97+ in 24 hours? I assumed we'd never see that again. Shocked
maybe for few more days?

I hope you understand why I was pushing for changing firmware so much , It was not all non-sense Wink

https://blockchain.info/charts/difficulty
Could you please stop that ^"nonsense"?
P.S. Yes, I know Jupiters hash rate slowed down a little..
269  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] - ADDICTION - KNCMiner - Now hashing at 14+TH! on: October 30, 2013, 01:31:15 PM

After testing on my machines, we moved to 0.98 firmware.  It seems to have produced a nice bump up in hashrate - no way to actually tell what the effect was until it stabilizes (in several hours) but so far it looks promising.

You need to remember that the last difficulty increase was 40%, meaning, we're making 40% less now than we were when we started, and probably 40% more now than we'll be making in another week.

So if we were expected to make 1 BTC per day before the difficulty change, we're now expected to make .6 BTC per day. So really,  .55 BTC in 24 hrs isn't very far out of line with that.

So far looks Solid :

Worker 1 Hash Rate       281.444 Gh/s
Worker 2 Hash Rate       283.277 Gh/s

I am really sorry for bitching all the time , but a stupid firmware causing us loose BTC was hard for me to swallow , please forgive me Smiley

Your way of handling this group buy is clear example to your future group buy investors & as per me you all doing excellent job , Thank you Redacted , Thomas_s , DyslexicZombei & Bobsag3.

Yeah both are running .97 smooth.

Im not going to touch .97 with a 10ft pole until I determine weather or not it had a hand in me having a large issue with a non-GB jupiter.

How long does it take to revert back to 0.95 firmware which was when we hit 1.32 BTC in 24 hours , 3 mins or 5 mins of restart time ?

I say we read that with a grain of salt and wait for other canaries to test the firmware before us.

I told you guys as someone that's a veteran pro to R&D that these miners are prototypes. Some poor miners chasing 10-30GH/s sometimes end up bricking a unit in the process like that poor guy czz in the CH forum whose problems began immediately after .97 was launched and he installed it coincidentally.

He has lost completely unrecoverable hashing time and hashrate in the process. He will likely never reach ROI unless he can take advantage of arbitrage, somehow. I wish that I could've helped him further.

Let's not be the canary in the coal mine (AKA first to install), until we see that the first canaries haven't died.

Yes Boss Smiley

KNC Upcoming firmware News  : https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-59

All,

We have noticed an increase in failures with our boxes when the firmware has been updated to 0.97.

There has been a bug identified in this firmware which can cause drop in performance in certain circumstances . There is a fix right now undergoing development but it’s not quite ready to release yet as it must undergo more testing overnight.

We are very aware that our customers are waiting for this hotfix to rescue some boxes who’s performance has dropped after applying 0.97.

The 0.98 release which is scheduled for release tomorrow will contain

1, A solution to address the bug which can cause dramatically reduced performance.

2, A bug fix which will stop the slowly reducing performance over time,

3, A new version of the CGMiner binary provided to us by the CGMiner developer’s

The update will be available tomorrow form our website,

Thanks

 KnCMiner Team

IMHO:

I think that LR would probably want to have the hardware in hand and hashing before giving out exact numbers (just a guess - I could be way off, but I know he like to deal in facts, not speculation).  After all, when you are depending on people to deliver, that's a variable that can't be controlled.

He could report 30TH/s arriving tomorrow, then never get it.  I much prefer waiting for some *real* news rather than having LR make any estimates.

Of course.. I'm sure he's working on a way to make things easier for us.  My thinking is the same here as well in that there's no point in giving a running commentary on what's happening so that we all try to micromanage.

cryptobox.pw

I think you are new here & have not been part of IPO which some of us as are & have seen how it all gone so far from day 1 & have paid ipo price for the shares we bought & see value of shares drop to 1/4th the original price paid for & dividends received so far .. well Cry

Your half ass confidence in LRM , that Lab_rat will make stuff out of his backside if we start asking questions just reflects quite well on what you think about LRM  & you think we are stupid to ask LRM for updates  Roll Eyes
277  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: October 25, 2013, 07:11:02 AM
I would like to know what hardware has been ordered, and when it is excepted to arrive.

Lab_Rat could you please give us a update on projected hashrate & plans for future growth , how do you plan to have trading of LRM shares set-up in future which doesnt rely on PM to you or grnbrg and provides clear visibility of number of sold shares & cost per share.

labrat,  as orders have been placed can you give us info on how much is on the way.   i dont see why this would be a secret as trading is not possible so it wont effect the bond price.   answering everyone's questions  but ignoring this is frustrating.

Few serious questions , I will start to accumulate these till we have these answered.

So with 16 Th/s mine each share is mining @ ~250 mh/s Huh

Thank you philipma1957  , its just that 0.3 BTC x 15 days = 1.5 btc lost , a single restart wont loose as much.  Smiley

But after reading what Redacted posted , I think we should just go back to 0.95 & not touch the machines there after , I am fully confident that organizers of this group buy are genuine good people & will take care of things fine.
