261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 18, 2023, 07:13:28 PM

I don’t like players who are very tall, but skinny build. I personally believe that they have a bigger chance of getting injured. If tall players are medium build and powerful, I don’t have any problems. But some players like Bol Bol can actually get injured easily in my opinion. And it will be more problematic towards the later stages of his career.
The first impression of many with tall yet skinny is that they're unhealthy and can easily be beaten by bigger guys. But it is that the game is changing and the style of playing basketball especially in the NBA have been improving and upgrading. Tall guys are looking easy to get injured but that's part of it for every player.

Yes, Tall but slim player who will be placed at the number 5 position might suffer from an injury,

Or they mostly be taken as liable for the team, as the player will go on one on one and try to demolish them using
the upper body strength and get an easy two plus a foul.

It's had competition for those kind of body shapes, though if you can play like KD where skills sets are really
amazing, your space inside the NBA will be wide.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When is ever the right time. on: July 18, 2023, 06:38:56 PM
Every second will be valueable if you can perfectly use it. It seems you are afraid if you coin get dumped after buying because bear is still on its way! but honestly nobody can accurately predict  what will happen  tomorrow. So you should rather divided your fund and invest with potential coin like btc, eth, xrp, bnb. If those get dumped then buy again and minimum the loss. Or you can wait. Potential coins will always pump.
Diversify your portfolio, I think this strategy is good for reducing investment risk,
all the coins that you mentioned are very worth buying and there is no need to hesitate,
take advantage of the opportunities that exist to make a profit.

Just do your homework in reviewing each project and then decide if how much portion of your investment you are willing to risk.

Diversifying is a good option since there are many available good assets to invest out, it's just
needed to sort it and review details about the full potentials before you dive in

and use your hard earned money, more on the knowledge and trust that you have when placing
your money into your investment.
263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 17, 2023, 11:20:34 AM
But before all of that, let's see what Donaire can offer to us once he steps foot in the ring again. It will be a good fight knowing how Donaire wanted a full packed confrontation type of fight, unless if Santiago decides to be the opposite. That will be huge disappointment for sure.

Regarding about that, we all know that Donaire will try to take advantage the opportunity while he got the upper hand in this fight and will try to engage in a toe-to-toe fight in the early rounds, but I don't think that Santiago is inclined to do the same thing and will keep up with the phase to cath up with Donaire. I think he will start slow and might be in a defensive mode for a good 5 rounds until he can notice that Donaire is losing his speed.

It may work, if Santiago will start slow and observe what style Donaire will use against him.

He might have that chance of beating Donaire if he will not engage in a toe-tot-toe confrontation, though it may boring the
fans if we will see more on defense with a lesser offense.

But, if that's the way how to win against the former champ, why not try your luck and use it? We will see what style
Santiago will use once the fight already takes place.
264  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as a newbie? on: July 17, 2023, 06:09:42 AM
stop those wrong steps of trading or will lost everything soon. Trading is so typical things in my opinion, better for Newbie to stay away from it. Trading needs concentration, focus, Complex calculation, patient as well as a lot of time for monitoring. you need to learn those before start up. I think trading is only suitable for them who are fully expert in this field. Less knowledge, incomplete ideas can destroy your whole career. until that you can invest some good altcoins for your profit

If you don't give it a try, you will never know what you don't know but first you must do it with proper management of funds, hence the reason why you always hear advance traders always advice the new traders to trade with risk management, they should not just jump and started trading by blindly following the trend. In addition to your claim, I don't think trading is a typical thing, if it is everyone will be doing it and there will be no one crying of loss and also telling newbie to stay away from it is very discouraging, its like telling them not to give it a try at all and if they don't they will never understand the market and how trading works.

Good point, you will never know until you try, but then again, you can use all advice as referrence.

Before stepping inside the market, make sure to have a basic understanding and knowledge in terms of money management,
it's your equipment while learning from the wild place of trading.

There is always a learning experienced and the fact that you need to know risk management is for you to handle all the pressure
and adjust when it's needed the most. Your money means your responsibility.
265  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I Use Emergency funds or Sell my Assets ? on: July 16, 2023, 10:59:34 PM
If indeed there is no other option, do it, but if there is another way out, take that method. Sometimes reserve funds are needed when others are not available. and this is a tough choice indeed. for sure everything has a deadline ending for example the Covid Pandemic in the end too. whatever you do using the reserve fund benefits not only for you but for your family as well.
Take any action if it saves them from the uncertainty of inequality but if you must have it then use the emergency fund because it is for needs in times like this, so it is important for anyone to save an emergency fund in times like this we can use it but sell other property assets...

The Covid pandemic is a lot of lessons for us where many people use emergency funds because of their uncertain conditions in their income, the best way with emergency funds to survive, when conditions are normal again you can start the same way, namely saving and preparing emergency funds again.

Correct, once the situation got resolve you start again to save your money, for sure you learn a lesson from your experienced.

We don't know when the emergency will come up, but with the experienced we will start to
anticipate and we will allocate a certain amount to save.

It will help to avoid using your investment or your asset as you have dedicated savings
for any emergency it will cover the needs.
266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 16, 2023, 06:31:02 PM

And the money being offered are getting bigger and bigger in the NBA right now, although it fare very small as compare to football. Nevertheless, Boston are rebuilding again and most likely they will have Brown and Tatum as the center of it.

Of course, they need more pieces, like role players at hand. They don't have Marcus Smart and Grant Williams so they will have to find a good replacement for them. Specially in defense because that's what Smart provided them during his years in Boston.

Yes, they needed to fill that space knowing how effective Smart when they are playing together,

It's on the coach now if how they will convert KP, they might be needed  him to play more on defense I guess,
as in terms of offense they are full of talents, or they can also play a running game where offense will serve also
as the main defense, which might be fit from the types of stars they've got, with Tatum and Brown plus KP, they
can rotate or shot outside.
267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 16, 2023, 06:19:03 PM

Usually that's why the potential opponent is going to watch the fight live, he is not there to be entertain, but rather see it have either Fulton and Inoue fight and maybe his team can try a strategy or see some weakness that they can exploit.

Indeed, not as viewer but more on a researcher, together with his camp they will be able to find some exploit weaknesses
from both fighters, and they will be able to prepare in case the said unifcation will be deal out.

Quote
And I do believed that it will be a setup, that once the winner is announced, Marlon is going up in the ring maybe and ask for a fight.

We will know that after the fight, it's interesting to see him announcing his willingness to unify all the belts.

Quote
So we will see, I"m seeing a lot of media coverage for this fight and maybe in the final stretch, they will do everything they can to reach fight fans so that they are going to watch this fight.

Yup, media hypes will be expected after the fight, they will attract more viewers to watch out for the next scheduled fight.
268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 16, 2023, 07:46:01 AM
Big contract for Jaylen Brown.

I read that Jaylen Brown could sign a maximum contract of $304 million with the Boston Celtics.
If this is true, the last year of the contract will be $ 70 million.

That's huge for Brown, him and Tatum has been the face of Boston Celtics for years. And now that Marcus Smart is gone, he could be very influential to the team right now. Hopefully, Boston will blossom and reach the finals again or even win.

Again, him and Tatum are blending well in the last couple of years and they should be around their prime years right now.

So it's good to see that he has been rewarded by the Celtics management.

What a huge amount of money if that offer is true.

Though if looking at how Boston rotating their offense, it's mostly for Tatum and him, the blend and chemistries are already
established and the good catch for Boston, both are still young.

They just need to invest more with their role players and allow both Tatum and Brown to take over whenever the
team needed them most.

Unified WBA and IBF World Super Bantamweight Champion Marlon Tapales to Watch Ringside for WBC and WBO Super Bantamweight World Championship Bout: Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue in Tokyo, Japan

Not technically related to the fight but just want to share some side news here.

The current WBA and IBF World Super Bantamweight Champion Marlon Tapales will watch on the ringside of this fight together with those big names behind his success, Manager Jim Claude Manangquil and promoter Sean Gibbons of MP Promotions. I wonder if there will be a big announcement at the end of this fight. Smiley

It's anticipated by most that the winner of this match between Stephen Fulton and Naoya Inoue might face Tapales next in another big unification match.

Honestly, I'd rather see that undisputed 122 lbs match right away next instead of a title defense.

If I'm not mistaken, it was agreed that Marlon Tapales will indeed face the winner of Inoue vs Fulton fight for unification.

Marlon Tapales set for undisputed clash vs winner of Fulton-Inoue

So it will be great if he will be there to see the fight and probably will go up in the ring after the fight and challenge the winner for the undisputed 122 lbs.

Akhmadaliev will have to wait though, maybe he will go on another title eliminator fight before getting a crack again on whoever has the belt.

Better for him to watch his possible next opponent for unifying all the belts in this division.

Watching the fight live will give him a hint on how the fighter execute their strategy, and that will help him to plan and
develop a good possible counters.

In terms of Akhmadaliev, any possible chance that he might pair with Casimero? I mean maybe Him and Casimero
it's a good hype for both of them if promoters will push that possible no title match up fight.

XRP won yesterday!

Great news not just for XRP but all crypto.

and the good news is that Coinbase is re-listing Ripple $XRP. yes. one step XRP starts to show its toughness. However, I don't expect much because there are many parties involved, including the whales. yes. Most wait and see like that. But, if you look at the price chart, it shows a decline. whether temporarily or continues to rise is uncertain and the XRP current price is $ 0.7728.

After that good bounce up,

currently we are seeing decline possible that those who are waiting for the price to pump already satisfied
with the amount that they already earned, and now they are selling with profits.

Or whales are playing and trying to make a dive to bring those unsure traders to collapse, they are creating
fears to take advantage and a possible to hold more and enjoy more when more pump to come.

An official offer from Miami for Dame has been made. Tyler Herro and a few draft picks. We’ll see what happens there. The big news of the day out of Miami though is Jimmy Butler hooking up with Shakira. I wonder how that’s going to impact his offseason training. Usually famous women don’t have a positive effect on athletes…
It's the curse of NBA player falling to famous women and we all know that it's not a great combination. As for the offer of Miami, not sure if that is enough for the Blazers though, I thought they will include other names like Kyle Lowry + Herro + future draft picks.

So yeah, we will see if the Blazers management are going to bite on this offer or will have to work with Miami to include other players.

Same with you. I am also in the impression that aside from Herro, they will also add Robinson or Lowry.

Not sure about that future picks and how Blazers will take that offer, it will be depending on how both managements will
discuss the offer and will close the trade.

We will hear updates regarding to these trades as knowing the Socmed. Some are speculation and some are smoke
that's already giving hints for potential closures.
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 14, 2023, 06:42:33 PM
We will see, Fulton is going to public and says that he is not afraid of Inoue's power. So maybe they have a game plan on how they are going to play with Inoue's power or exploit his weakness if they have seen one already.

So the champ is very confident in his ability. Because if not then he wouldn't travel to Inoue's country.

And speaking of that, I saw video clips or at least news that Fulton is already in Japan and most likely he is trying to acclimatized himself already.

That's what some of Inoue's opponents have mentioned before their fights. They initially claim not to be afraid to face him, but once they experience Inoue's power, they often change their strategy and focus more on surviving the fight rather than aiming for a victory. Hopefully, we will witness a different scenario in this upcoming fight.

I cannot even blame them Grin They tend to underestimate the power of Naoya Inoue because judging from his looks, he seems so innocent that he cannot even throw a serious punch to his opponent and his build is not that buffed to be considered monster just like his alias. But all of that was just a ploy to deceive Inoue's opponent because he knew right from the start that his looks are not that scary but when it comes to brute strength, up to this date, nobody can catch up with him.

His speed is well coordinated with his power punches. The looks might be deceiving.

as he really looks like an innocent young fighter which you won't think that have that has both speed and power, his timing
and his capabilities to absorb his opponent's solid punches.Something that really gives him that edge when he starts fighting
inside the ring, Fulton may need to review and study every single detail with how Inoue execute his strategy, counter or
find the best way to avoid. That's something he needs to figure out.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - July 29 on: July 14, 2023, 06:00:00 PM

There is none of a single doubt about the hype between these two can create and that they can surpass the blockbuster hit that Davis and Garcia did in the previous months. I mean, it is given already knowing how Al Haymon kept the right to organize it even if there is already other organizers that wanted to give them those guaranteed money, he know that the revenue in this fight will be much bigger than what is anticipated that is why he didn't gave up those rights because he knew probably at that time that sooner or later, the path of Crawford and Spence will soon cross.

Now everything is almost on his hands. A few more weeks and we will see the fight to happen.

And the good catch here for Al Haymon is the rematch claw that can bring another huge profit. Whatever happened to
this upcoming fight, the chance of a seeing them again is possible.

More money for everyone knowing how the fans will react and how it will be hypes. Socmed is too wide in helping
this match to create viewers and gamblers supports.
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 14, 2023, 05:37:22 PM
-snip-

Mostly in the playoffs but when they faced the Nuggets in the WCF, they almost lost to all factors and that became a reason why they've been swept by now the reigning champion in the league. Height wasn't really a factor inside the paint though, it's just that Anthony Davis cannot focus on his role and defend the paint because the guys outside the perimeter also needed some help as they weren't acting what needs to be done.
Not only in WCF, but indeed the Lakers can't beat the Nuggets, I'm not even sure the Lakers can just keep up with the Nuggets.
From the last meeting, it can be confirmed that the Nuggets are indeed the strongest in the western region plus they have Nikola Jokic and also LeBron James who can make the Nuggets have a good game from start to finish.
For the next season I still have faith in the Nuggets so they can create an amazing series and a win.

Yes, I have no doubt about that as well. In fact, the Denver Nuggets will be more dangerous in the upcoming season because they are now more experienced and much more mature to know what should they do in a certain instances, moreover, I got zero doubts that they can still claim the #1 seed in the Western Conference. Any team can take that place of course but that will not last long enough because the Nuggets will aggressively get what is rightfully theirs in their return to get the first seed.

A nice one to expect from the Nuggets, since all the teams are preparing to compete against them.

They needed to defend the title and if my memory serve it right, the last back-to-back champ was the Golden state warriors
almost a grand-slam if only KD and Thompson were healthy during the finals.

Now, it was the Lakers, Bucks, then the warriors again and now it's Nuggets term to protect and will try to stay on top,
still young squad with now a good experienced, they can really compete and may continue to stay on top.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 14, 2023, 05:13:19 PM

Let see after this upcoming fight, if how he will manage to bring his skills and capabilities, if he can still make a win
as most of the fans expecting him to be, then his future decision might be announced.

I think this upcoming fight is important for him because he cannot afford to lose 2 straight fights at this age and that would only mean no other than retiring from boxing since it will be clear to him that he cannot box anymore and he needs to step down in order to give chance for the others to show their skills and also make names for themselves. But if he is able to show that he completely dominates his opponent, then retiring is not yet an option rather he will gonna continue to fight until he will no longer has the ability to do so just like Muhammad Ali and the others.
He clearly understands that, and I believe he will retire once he loses in this fight. It has been shared before that, according to Donaire, as long as he doesn't face an opponent with the same power as his or Inoue, he will be good. This shows how confident he is in his division and his belief that he can become a champion again. So, let's trust our man and support him in his journey.

That's how confident he was, or maybe just a part of his statement to hype the fight, considering the schedule was moved.

It will be nice seeing him showing again his capabilities and with how the fans wanted him inside the ring,
we will see some hints if he really can dominate even at his age.

That statement regarding to how he sees this division and stating those words with full of confidence that
he can still reclaim the belt, just not an opponent with the same level of Inoue..
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - July 29 on: July 13, 2023, 01:05:19 PM
Right, Tank vs Garcia is very different though, I mean the hype is really huge and PPV reaches more than 1 million. And I remember that we have discussed speculations about how big this fight it in terms of PPV and if I remember it correctly, we did somewhat agree that the numbers could be around 300,000-500,000 buys. But we will see.

It's getting closer, I can sense on some boxing forums that the hype is building already.

I also read some comments of former opponents of this two boxers, like Porter and they have given their own opinions about this fight.

The promoters of this fight made the PPV more expensive so it will have a hard time matching Ryan vs. Tank's numbers. Today's generation of fighters need to have a strong social media presence if they want to attract the biggest audience. Earlier this month, an influencer boxing event broke records on Twitch by getting over 3.4 million live viewers and over 100 million have watched the replay. Crawford and Spence aren't at that level of popularity but I think the years of anticipation and hype will lead to a big viewership.

I will tend to agree about the social media presence, Ryan has boasted a combine more than 1 million subscribers if I'm not mistaken. But not sure about the numbers of Crawford or Spence themselves. This two boxer are way over 30 years old, so there is a big catch that they don't deal much often on social media or they just want to be private and just sharing few contents about this fight.

But still the anticipation has been building and maybe it will help them have a good PPV number regardless if the price is lower than Ryan vs Tank.

For sure though, there are lot of fans that are going to share this fight for free in Facebook and other platforms., just saying.

I think they have generated enough hype when they were rumored to fight, but it didn't happen. Finally, it will happen, and I believe it's the right time because they were inspired by the PPV numbers of the Garcia vs Davis fight. I'm sure the promoters of this fight believe they will be able to surpass that significant number of PPV. Personally, I'm confident it will happen.

A unification fight between two undefeated fighters. I also agree that they can surpass that hypes.

With how they excite the fans with those all rumors before, and now they finally convert these rumors into a schedule fight
I'm glad to see that there are no excuses now. (hopefully none to come) and the fight will proceed,

the numbers of PPV and the possible numbers of sponsorships will bring a huge amount of money for these two champs,
the amount of money surely moves them both to sign the deal.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 13, 2023, 11:12:05 AM
I guess he was really given the green signal to shoot that time. But with Dallas, they want a true center which Wood didn't provide and that's why he was released and teams are not keen on his talents anymore, I reckon.

He isn't a real threat as a center despite his size, which can be seen as a liability. However, he can contribute significantly in terms of scoring. Looking at his stats from last season, he averaged 16.6 points per game (PPG), which is already a good contribution. Therefore, I believe he would fit well with a team that prioritizes offense over defense and values ball movement.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/w/woodch01.html

But if Lakers or the Warriors are the team that are looking for a good center, then they are loaded with scorers already, which make Christian Wood a liability to them. And again, he is a good scoring threat, but it seems they are looking for a center that is in the mold of let's say Ayton or even Joel Embiid.

So as much as his stats is that good, he might not be a perfect fit for a offensive team, in my opinion.

If I remember it right, AD was informed that he will go back to number 4 position,

it make me think that lakers are serious about putting a good number 5 to help him inside, though in terms of the way Wood
playing the game, I agree with you that it might be tough for them placing him as they already have lots of scorers who
can give them good offense. And same with the Warriors, though let see if what's the next update about Wood we never
know which team will sign him.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 13, 2023, 04:11:29 AM
I confess... for me it is gratifying to see Cousins, IT and Howard have the opportunity to return to play in the NBA.
Even though they are over 30 years old, I believe they still have potential to play in the NBA again.

Last offseason, we also discussed the future of these guys in the NBA, but no team wanted to offer them even a minimum contract at that time. As far as I know, now nothing has actually changed, and there are only rumors that they may return to the NBA. As I see it, IT has the best chance to return, as he recently had workouts in Vegas for multiple NBA teams, while Howard and Cousins are not likely to be seen in the NBA again.

I see the same, with how the teams are recruiting players, they are more into flexibility.

Both Cousins and Howard can be a liability with the way they are playing the game. It might be hard for them to cope up
with the young and big guys who are playing the game now.

Both past superstars are already aging and the speed is no longer present plus the way the game is being played now
more on outside plays and running attacks, not sure if both cousins and Howard can still find a team that fits the way they play the game.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 13, 2023, 03:52:08 AM
@btc_angela. I am not as optimistic as you on Nonito Donaire. If you again watch his rematch against Inoue, you will see that Nonito has already become slower in the ring in his older age. Also, coming back after a knockout loss at 40 years old? I shake my head why his wife allowed him to fight.

I respect Nonito, he is one of my favorite boxers and I consider him a little more skillful than Pacman, however, if to place money on him for this fight as the favorite? Diffcult hehe.

Since Donaire returned to this division, he relied heavily on his power, timing, and experience. But of course, as the years go by he will become slower and slower. And as Donaire mentioned, as long as his opponents do not possess Naoya and his power then he is good. And Inoue is quicker than Santiago and he is also a KO artist while the Mexican is not.

Many people expected Donaire to hang it up after his loss to Carl Frampton. It was a big surprise when he announced his entry into the WBSS tournament which needs him to drop 2 divisions. And it is even more surprising when he continued to fight after the tournament. Luckily for him, he is gifted with a power that is too hard to handle in this division.

I felt like Donaire continued his career for financial reasons. I also blamed his wife some years ago for why she let Donaire continue and that unbelievable drop in 2 weight classes that Donaire continued to make these days. Rachel Donaire is also Nonito's manager.

we can't put all the blame to his wife, because it take two to tango, right? because if donaire feels that he needs to hang up his gloves, he will. but it seems he has still juice inside the ring. we will know if he has still some power on this upcoming fight. for sure, they are also evaluating the situation if he can still put up a good fight or not. just like pacquiao, we for sure can see how they are performing while the fight is on.

True, even her wife is his manager, it's still a two-way decision for both him and her wife.

I see the point in terms of financial reason, he still has that power and both he and her wife see that even at his age
there are still fans who wanted to see him inside the ring.

Let see after this upcoming fight, if how he will manage to bring his skills and capabilities, if he can still make a win
as most of the fans expecting him to be, then his future decision might be announced.

It’s good that you are cautious and advising others to be cautious as well. It’s important to understand the reason behind prices moving up and analyze the benefits and demerits of the project before investing.
Well, if it rises due to some hypes and manipulations, you'll gonna be staying away from that project because the next thing that will happen is an abrupt dump. But if it rises because it really has the potential and has a use case, that something will tell us that the future of this project is bright. However, when talking about new projects, we really have to take extra caution because the majority are scams. Many projects have only had a good start but in the later part, it dump slowly until it was gone totally.
unfortunately though manipulation towards the price was very rampant especially with those altcoins at initial stage where their market capitalisation was still relatively low.
it just means that it more vulnerable towards the manipulation that might be pulled of from under the hood.
I just think only at early stage through platform like binance where they have reviewed their project gonna be better than speculating on some random projects out there.
its just a lot more safer since you know you won't get rugpulled or scammed.

the good thing about binance is they won't list a project if they know it is crap in the first place. they have their team reviewing the project itself, if it is valuable or not. or if it will be in demand in the market or not. and maybe with the exception of shib, they saw the high demand from the community so they list it even without the application the shib team. well, at the end of the day, it is all business.

As per my own take, as long as they see (binance) a huge amount of benefits, they will list it.

And that's what happened with Shiba, they've got a huge amount of supports where money really flows and that's bring
huge money for binance.

We can't conclude how they work or how the reviewing team works, but with the right amount of money that
they can earn is how it matters and how they weight it in.
