Should you, or should you not? Apprently, it all boils down to your preferences and your capability to comprehend and hold on to this roller coaster ride. Most of the time, it flops, but there are times when it pays itself off big time. So far in my experience with bitcoin, the risks are lesser than the reward there is; you just need to choose carefully on how would you utilize bitcoin as your investment.

Yes i shoud and we should believe because it can amazingly do possible things that mostly fast transactions online specially of online wallet payments like loading mobile numbers, bills payment and more. Trading altcoins is one of the profitable of bitcoin is one thing proof that we should believe with it and its use also for fun in gambling and online selling.

I agree with you dude, there are many benefits using this kind of coin the bitcoin where you can earn much more than you expected, aside from easy access to have and earn money, it has fast transaction which everyone really wants to have. So OP better believe with bitcoin and try some earning ways and believe it yourself.

The transaction of the bitcoin is not so fast. You have to pay a lot to get fast transaction. So not many people will use it.

Well, until now I still believe bitcoin, but, I do not have much time to look for it at this time. but, lately I have free time, so I could come back looking for bitcoin. Well, I'm just surprised to see the price of bitcoin is very high at this time. bitcoin I hope that the price will reach $ 1,000 by year-end

nothing's impossible as we can see, the price increase is continuously approaching maybe it will not happen at the end of the but we see some changes after the year started it is almost 2017 but bitcoin still on $700 dollars so I think it will increase again in a few more couple of months let's just hope .
Yes I also hope so, it is expected that the price of bitcoin will cross the 1000 USD level, before starting of 2017, but we can see that the price of bitcoin is still trading below $770 in one sense the gradual increase in the price of bitcoin is good as it will lost for a long time because bitcoin is becoming more and more mature. So, I also expect some more increase in the price of bitcoin in starting of new year.
It is hard for Bitcoin to reach $1000. I expect more things will happen after the new year eve since Chinese investors may put more money into Bitcoin and mining system. We can not deny the impacts which Chinese has brought to Bitcoin. The majority of mining pool is located in China and right now, anything influences the China ecosystem, it will also affect Bitcoin. I believe Bitcoin price will drop before the New Year eve and rise significantly after it
They do help to make the price increase and that will continue to happen in the future, the fact that they have proven investing in bitcoin is very profitable they will continue doing the same thing until such time more people will be coming in due to the attractive price of bitcoin.

$1,000 would be easy if the price will continue to increase even slowly but constant.

We could reach that price sooner or later because i could say now that we are increasing. The demand of bitcoin is increasing thats why the price is getting higher Cheesy . Well we hope that it will be constant so that we as bitcoin user could earn more and we know that price has a big impact to us because bitcoin help us in our daily needs.

the demand for the bitcoin is definately higher than last year. The price of bitcoin was just $450 in December last year.
263  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: December 04, 2016, 09:15:57 AM
Bitcoin existed years ago. it first started with just cents and people believe to how it works that is why it now has billions of marketcap. Believe that!
That's why we are so successful now and that is due to more and more people adopted with bitcoin and when you adopt it's 100% you believe in bitcoin. I am one of the proud adopters because I use my bitcoin on a daily basis to transact with different business online and even gambler conveniently using my bitcoins. If I don't believe then I would just simply not gonna risk my hard earned money with bitcoin.

Yeah i couldnt agree more with you dude,  why not to believe with bitcoin because as the user of bitcoin  and was take so many benefits  from bitcoin (espesially me) ,  believe with bitcoin,  stay using  bitcoin and always make a transaction with bitcoin  as we can do.  I think  from that bitcoin  will always  exist because we are believe in bitcoin.

The bitcoin is semi anonymous. If you want the flexibility of semi anonymous or total anonymous, you should believe in ZCash.

Some news from chinese exchanges?

What news?
I read that the Chinese exchanges were thinking about promoting eth or etc, not both

If they want to promote the Ethereum, they will promote the strong version with active developments.

ETH price in USD ($10.88) hasn't gone down much.

Won't it be safer to have USD instead of ETHF3?

After more hard forks or the further developments, it is possible that the Etheruem will be more robust.

If You want to believe into the bitcoin you should invest allot into the bitcoin becuase when you invest allot into the bitcoin you will make allot of money
and who dont want to make moneyt?
Those who trust in bitcoin, he also has long invested their savings in cryptocurrency. Of course, for this trust must be a good reason, because only a confirmation of the success can be achieved bitcoin confidence.

It is not only about believing but also how you conduct your life. If you just randomly invest in something you have made a bad choice, but then if you invest in something but also makes sure you do proper research, like I did with bitcoin, you will know bitcoin is worth trusting for.

If the bitcoin price is low, you can buy some, it is not a bad investment as the price will rise in the long term.

I am surprised that there are not more people talking about this syncing problem. Are there people not having a problem syncing. I have been at it 2 days now and the wallet is still not caught up.
My wallet to not want to sync, even win crash.

Mine does sync but it is much slower now

it take very long time to synchronise. There is a new version of the geth now in the website. But that is prerelease.

https://github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/releases

What else should we rewrite? (1.4.14)
@karalabe karalabe released this 6 hours ago

This is a Geth pre-release to counter the network DoS attacks from yesterday and those detected today. It is a prerelease (to help people get back on track fast) with further updates coming soon. As always, please keep an eye on your nodes while using as it features a new bleeding edge caching mechanism.

Note, initial attack blocks may process slower as cold data is loaded from the disk, but the longer Geth runs the less impact such transactions should have.

Being a pre-release, we won't land this code just yet in the master branch, also inherently meaning we won't be providing stable binaries from the usual channels (brew, ppa, chocolatey), however cross builds are available for testing below. Mist builds containing the pre-release will also be available.
268  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: September 18, 2016, 08:25:03 AM
Yeah, you should because if you already don't believe, you'll soon discover the real power BTC possesses and all the possibilities it gives you
and if someone don't believe bitcoin he really can't get all benefits and advantages of bitcoin.
only the believers can use bitcoin with compatibility and can use all its feature and earn it for free.
bitcoin worth to believed because bitcoin is really legit. there is no doubt on it.

There is no need to believe in the bitcoin or any other crypto currency. You can just use the coin as necessary.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: September 13, 2016, 08:38:34 AM

We desire the following primary goals:

Efficiency via proof of stake - the consensus should be secured without mining, thereby greatly reducing electricity waste as well as the need for large and indefinite ongoing ETH issuance.

Fast block time - the block time should be maximally fast, though without compromising security.
Economic finality - once a block is made, after a certain amount of time a state of affairs should arise where the bulk of the validators have "fully committed" to that block, meaning that they lose their entire ETH deposits (think: 10 million ETH of value) in all histories that do not have that block. This is desirable because it means that even majority collusions cannot conduct medium or long-range 51% attacks without destroying all of their ether; the default validator strategies are designed to be conservative about their willingness to make high-value commitments so the risk for honest validators should be very low.

Scalability - it should be possible to run the blockchain with literally no full nodes, ie. in a situation where all nodes, including validators, keep up with only a small fraction of the data in the blockchain and use light-client techniques in order to access the rest. This way the blockchain can achieve transaction throughput much higher than that of a single machine while at the same time ensuring that the platform can be run off of nothing more than a sufficiently large number of consumer laptops, thereby preserving decentralization.

Cross-shard communication - it should be maximally feasible to interoperate between applications that are on different parts of the state that are stored by different nodes, and to build applications that exist across multiple such portions of the state if an individual application's usage reaches such a point that a single node's computing power and bandwidth can no longer sustain it.

Computational censorship resistance - the protocol should be resistant to attempts by even majority colluding validators across all shards to prevent undesired transactions from getting into the chain and being finalized. This exists to some extent in Ethereum 1.0 via "censorship resistance by halting problem", but we can make this mechanism much stronger by introducing a notion of guaranteed scheduling and guaranteed cross-shard messages.

You should believe in bitcoin. because many people became succeeded with bitcoin. If you have the knowledge about bitcoin investment you should try it.Though it's depends on some bit of luck but it can give you good profit if your sstrategy is perfect. Best of luck

you are right, with bitcoin you can make a lot of money if you will be holding it for a really long time, i think that bitcoins is going to become big

That is going to be for real bitcoin is going to become bigger for the next few months and years. That is why you must believe bitcoin today and you must have bitcoin already in able to have some earnings so whenever the price is going to increase then you are going to earn from it. And many people already proved it.

I have used some bitcoin in the past. But the price of the bitcoin has not risen for some time. The Monero has rise a lot. So I believe more in Monero.
271  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: August 12, 2016, 08:20:15 AM
That is true in every investment the income is depending on the risk you have, if you invest in bank with lowe risk you can only earn a little profit but if you invest in bitcoin you will earn a lot of profit because you invest in higher risk and you need to believe that you will give better return on your investments.

I can take some risk, and I believe the bitcoin price will rise in the future, so I will buy some more bitcoins.

It is not compelled by law enforcement to hard fork, it is compelled by the community. Did you see the vote?

I did, it was low turnout and contentious. The amount of hashrate in ETC as well as its exchange rate reflects the dissent. Why is it that ETH supporters still seem to have a problem with ETC? I'm trying to understand that since my first post in this thread but I'm not getting any closer. The "law and order" argument clearly doesn't make sense since ETH didn't really follow the law. Community was split since before the fork. What else?

From the mining hash, you can say that 90% of the miners support the ETH. But miners chase profits.

274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: June 30, 2016, 12:35:56 PM
Just to reiterate

Theft is theft. Forget blockchain ideologies.

If the theft of etherium/dao is allowed to go ahead, then should etherium be worth anything?
It would accept stealing as ok and the norm, and be seen to reward such behavior.
A thief should be brought to justice not rewarded. It was an accepted part of the dao that funds wouldn't be released accept for consensus of the dao, not consensus of anyone else. If someone hacked any institution because its security was lax, it would be theft just the same, and the same goes for anything else. There is no such thing as a fair flaw.

This is a theft that can be stopped, so if developers can stop it but choose not to, or don't use anything in their power to stop it, it can be seen as effectively aiding in the theft.

Forget blockchain ideologies they will be meaningless. Everyone take very careful analysis of what is occurring there can be consequences if the theft is allowed to continue.

And consider the effect of a thief holding such a large percentage of ether equals etherium can't be trusted in the future, as it gives power, and may if possible be used to take down the system at anytime in the future with no recourse.

Those that have unfavorably commented on my previous post have shown that they have their head so far up a computer that they have forgotten they live in the real world.
They are also making misleading assumptions about me which shows the state of logic that evolves from them.

Also to consider anyone found to be helping a theft could also be brought to justice.

There may also be ramifications to this that are hard to see at the moment that may have wider implications.

This could be over with a simple fork or whatever is needed.
You do not need to re-compute history, this is a fundamentally difference in the way etherium works, as has been stated in LBT live (thanks Mrpumperitis for link). This also doesn't need to be a president as its so early in etherums development.

There is no need to argue it is a theft. I think it is and will make sure the thief will not get the stolen funds using my mining power.
275  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: June 16, 2016, 12:46:55 PM
Of course you should believe in Bitcoin at least so do I. If I can make money with Bitcoin then I am happy because I do not need anything else. Bitcoin is the future so believe in it.

I think there is no need to believe in bitcoin. We will just hold it for some time and use it for certain transactions.
276  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: May 30, 2016, 01:02:34 PM
I think buying now in general is a good idea, but it is still risky so I would not put all of your money into it.  And with the recent increase to over $500, I would prefer to wait for another dip in price to buy some or gradually buy as the price is changing.

Yeah we need to wait for some more time to buy bitcoin as this price is high for majority for us so its better to wait for some price drop now.

Yes, I also think that this current rally is not sustainable and  this same week we will see a likely return to the $480 level. I don't know if less than $400 is also likely, but I am not expecting so low price for the next weeks.

$480 is not possible now, it might get stuck around $500 till the halving and I don't see it falling lower then  it so hold it till the halving to earn good profits.
I agree, the price is going skyrocket again but if we really believe that the price of bitcoins will go high we can still make a profit in the future by simply buying now and hold a little while, surely after the halving price will be stable.

If you buy and hold for 4 years, you will always make profit. The long term trend of the price is up.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: May 18, 2016, 07:25:04 AM
on coinmarketscap today, ETH dollar volume is nearly 60 percent of BTC dollar volume : increasing slowly...!

That is amazing. The trade volume in the Poloniex is around 60,000 bitcoin now. That is very large sum.

Yeah, I'm really surprised too probably mkcp reach 1 B soon.

$1 billion market cap was reached two months ago. Then it dropped to $500 million. I hope it will hold here this time.
278  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: May 01, 2016, 06:49:50 PM
Believe in bitcoin because bitcoin now is used by many companies just like Steam / Valve. They are now accepting bitcoins to their payment.
Yeah within few years we can see the bitcoin to be widely accepted as payment in all the online appliances, also the demand increases day by day as the price will be doubled or tripled as the result of halving. More people will believe bitcoin in short period.
Believing in Bitcoin will be not that bad as you can see now you see also that the value is going to rise slowly and that is quite nice for the future because Bitcoin is getting more popular.
The only thing that we have to do is to sell it on the right moment to have some profit.

We all want to sell at the right moment. But we do not know when is the right moment. Timing is the key.
279  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: April 19, 2016, 11:19:05 AM
Can believe in bitcoin for it really has a chance to be a number one currency being used in the near future. Fact, that it is decentralized and no governing body has controlled of it.

believe in bitcoin because i saw bitcoin price is yearly increased.. and i think it will increase more in the future .

I think the bitcoin price increase every year apart from 2014. That is mainly due to the big bubble in 2013.

The year end's price in 2016 will also be higher than the January price. Mass adoption is coming.

Hello.
Prompt, to run in solo, depending on the complexity of the network parameter --cl-global-work it is necessary to increase or decrease? Thank you.

It make no difference if you want to run solo or pool mining. -cl-global-work is just the allocated work in the GPU.
