261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FedoraCoin (TiPS) - New Dev team: Fedoracoin Foundation on: November 19, 2016, 05:09:31 PM
To increase TIPS awareness, it is better to organize campaigns like other coins do. That will help to spread.

I agree with this but, I also realize that ANYTHING that draws attention is good at this point so, good luck with the gambling site!
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest on: November 19, 2016, 01:50:34 PM
Cryptopia: The AC wallet is in maintenance right now as they are among many wallets being moved to a new server. Your deposit will process once the wallet maintenance has been complete. Sorry for the delay and any inconvenience this may have caused.

Any other exchanges for AsiaCoin at this time?

Some people are probably thinking this swap is only killing BTCD. The pice is at 40 for a month now due to the constant dumps. Just place your sell order at the fair price. Someone will pick it up eventually.

I would say they had plenty of time and warning as to how this would work since KMD is essentially replacing BTCD so, they can either sell now or, just do nothing except getting their BTCD in a local wallet till after the snapshot/swap and receive a like value of KMD (and some REVS) that SHOULD raise even higher than BTCD in the long run. I see this as an opportunity, not a bad thing. Just hope it all works as JL777 sees it working.

264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚒ Syscoin - LIVE Decentralized Marketplace, Encrypted Messaging, Escrow & more ☍ on: November 18, 2016, 05:09:52 PM
Sadly, but almost all threads are submerged with talks about the price movements. It makes me to consider exit option out of cryptocurrency. Almost a few persons, real users and enthusiasts of crypto, are talking about the real use of it and possibilities how this technology can change obsolete economy. You should understand that not the price movement makes crypto great but adoption and real everyday use of technology it brings to improve our lives.

For the most part, you are correct and, I think most of us understand that but, look at it like cheering for your favorite football team. When there's a good play during the game, we all cheer and when there's a touchdown we stand and cheer but, when our team wins the season, that's when the real celebration begins. It's all about getting to the "holy grail", massive adoption by the public. Granted, some folks are only there for the one game but, that doesn't matter to the rest of us.

As human beings, we need to pat ourselves on the back as we travel that road and cheer on the team we have picked to win. Now, I'm not saying we all care, many are only here for a quick profit and then move on to the next project for the same but, we need to take the good with the bad on that road to adoption and make what we can of it.

Also keep in mind there are many, many behind the scenes that don't post in these forums but read them. The "instant gratification" day traders post things to influence the rest of us to act as they want us to act. For the most part, they are wasting their time and energy but they do have some influence, it's a big world out there. Through all this Syscoin continues to raise and is getting closer to the goal every day. In all fairness, so are many other projects and that is healthy. Without competition, there would be no innovation.

Just remember, no matter what the reason for investors to cheer on Syscoin, we ALL are hoping for success and wide spread adoption. In that, we all all the same. So, hang in there, ignore the stuff that bothers you and comment on the stuff that interests you, and remember, life goes on...

Thank you, just wish for Syscoin to be as successful business as ebay, amazon or alibaba and better from technological side of the project Smiley

Be patient. Like the guy said in the movie: "If you build it, they will come."  Just add some marketing to that...  Grin

Things are progressing slowly as we prepare things for Pandacoin to be useful and easy to use for a much wider audience.  We are testing a couple of new things and have made them available for others to see / test  at http://cryptodepot.org/  You can find several fast wallet downloads we have prepared that include the blockchain snapshot as part of the installation on the Downloads page.  We are working on creating a simple vote page http://cryptodepot.org/vpagetest/  We hope to enable anyone to easily create their own custom vote page in the future as well to to use custom vote pages to get valuable feedback on Pandacoin community ideas. There are Faucets as well as Paper wallet generators available on the site also.

Excellent! Thanks for the info...

ICONOMI
Sir, one of my question remained unanswered  in AMA.
Can you take an example that performance fund gets total profit $10 million. And explain how profit sharing would take place.(who get how much)

I think several answers posted in the last few days were already correct ...
We will provide exact illustrative calculation once we finalize the details (fee percentages).

So, couple questions:

  1. Are you currently on any exchanges?

  2. Why should i invest in ICONOMI?

You can't be serious...

Ah yes, a VERY helpful response from a Newbie account. Since I see you are only on Kraken and Liqui at the moment, I'll watch from the sidelines for a while. If anyone can bring a convincing case to invest, that would be appreciated, thx.

First Article

We will explain what Komodo is with 3 articles! The first one is titled: "Where Hope Lies for Privacy, Anonymity, and Fungibility in Cryptocurrency".

It was just published on our website! https://komodoplatform.com/article-1/

Read & share, and wait for our next one Wink

The article was translated & published in Russian as well. We will publish Chinese and Spanish translations as soon as they are finished.

Very nice article, good job! Smiley
I strongly believe that KMD will be one of the best projects for this year.

I guess that many new people will join this last week and support even more KMD... Roll Eyes Tongue

I'll second that, the article was very well written and easy to understand. I hate when articles that promise to explain technical issues only create more uncertainty and confusion. Good job!

No offense, just an honest question.

So there are 5 days left, all bonus rates gone, and ~92% of funds missing. What will happen if it doesn't make it?

"It" has already "made it", the 30000 is an arbitrary ceiling, they have enough already to go live and fund the backend. And what do you mean by "92% of funds missing"? Are you referring to the difference between the current Bitcoin collected and the cap? If so, it is meaningless.

Voted again for VeriCoin and Verium.

I see they have a ton of votes from OneCoin shills. Should be interesting to see how they handle that...

November Update!

http://syscoin.org/increased-privacy-syscoin-2-1-direct-zcash-payment-support/

Increased Privacy with Syscoin 2.1 – Direct ZCash Payment Support

In today’s market, privacy has become more of a privilege than a right. We believe that all users have the right to privacy on the Syscoin network and want to do all we can to provide users with the options needed to make them feel safe. With the recent release of ZCash we recognized an opportunity to present Syscoin users with an added degree of privacy, and are now happy to announce that this additional privacy layer will be part of the Syscoin 2.1 release.

DIRECT ZCASH SUPPORT

Syscoin 2.1 will have support for direct ZCash (ZEC) payments in the same way that Syscoin 2.0 has support for direct Bitcoin payments. Users will be able to purchase items by paying the appropriate peg-converted rate of ZCash directly to the seller’s designated Syscoin address. Once received the seller then confirms the funds are present on the ZCash blockchain/network and the transaction is then marked as completed on the Syscoin network.

Because Syscoin addresses are compatible with ZCash Transparent addresses we can offer ZCash support with complete multisig support to allow for optional Syscoin escrow functionality. A merchant has the ability to select a combination of payment options from a list of SYS, BTC or ZEC. Once a buyer tries to buy the offer they will see the payment options available. Once they select ZEC, a Transparent ZCash address will be generated which uses the same private key as the merchant’s Syscoin address. The buyer would pay from a private ZCash address to preserve anonymity and the seller would import their private key (at a random time in the future) into their ZCash wallet to claim their funds, and send those funds into an input of a JoinSplit transaction to store them in a private ZCash address, creating a JoinSplit sandwich.

The JoinSplit sandwich can be summarized as follows z-addr -> P2SH t-addr -> z-addr which provides the maximum amount of privacy with multisig support. All signing of ZCash transactions within the Syscoin escrow service happens on the Syscoin network and is posted onto the ZCash network upon escrow completion. This offers great usability within a trustless and decentralized payment design.
More details to come on privacy preserving payments within the Syscoin marketplace on our upcoming Syscoin 2 whitepaper upon release of 2.1 core.

STATE OF SYSCOIN 2.1 & BLOCKMARKET

Syscoin 2.1 with ZCash integration has already been tested internally. The final Syscoin 2.1 release candidate is still in final testing internally and via our advisory board and with the publication of this news we will be enabling the ZCash integration in these test candidates- something previously reserved only for internal team testing.

Because so much multisignature functionality has been added we’re doing our best to be extra diligent in testing these use cases which now require 2 or more signatures for transactions to proceed thereby enabling a whole new class of transactions and use cases for Syscoin services.

Blockmarket is dependent on Syscoin 2.1. We’ve been updating it in parallel with Syscoin 2.1 as much as possible with our limited development resources. We still need to add the ZCash interfaces to the “Syscoin Elite” app but will be on track for delivery of Blockmarket and “Syscoin Elite” quickly following the Syscoin 2.1 public release. We’ll have more details on the specifics of the Blockmarket/Syscoin SE release following the public release of Syscoin 2.1. We will confirm a public Q4 2016 release date and block for Syscoin 2.1 by this weekend, November 20, 2016.

We’re very eager to get all this functionality – from the slew of core updates present in 2.1 to the shift in usability/user experience presented by Blockmarket and “Syscoin Elite” – into the hands of the public / end users as soon as possible, bringing a decentralized revolution to a host of use cases both within the marketplace space and beyond.

Excellent news! I knew you guys were up to something cool! This is why the Syscoin Team rocks!

What makes y'all think it will jump with the update? The markets know about it, isn't there a chance it is priced in? SYS is 10 times more expensive than at the beginning of the year anyway. When this update is introduced, nothing will change, someone will have to use the market for the demand to grow, which may take years.

Not trolling or saying it will not grow, just trying to be realistic.

Well, in reality it's not so much the excellent tech features as much as the fact that the Devs are alive and well and still developing the coin and delivering new tech and features. That is what really controls the price in the short term. The long term depends on adoption and usage of those features and, realistically, some luck!  Grin

Thanks Steve.
I was getting worried you had abandoned your website.

Guys, this is 3r197, I tried to change my password from a different location (on vacation) this caused my account to get locked.
Trying to get the admin to respond here is like pulling teeth.

I'll get someone on slack to vouche for me that this is legit.

Good luck! I did the same thing about six months ago and lost my HERO account (RJF) because of it. Had to create a new one and start from scratch. Tried ever possible way to get them to respond but never heard anything so, now I'm stuck with the new account. Really sucks...

it is not POS, and it is not all premined

Ahmed,

I think myc066 was not referring to our TIPS here, but to the fedorashare (FEDS) mentioned above. And that is at least POW/POS hybrid and it has a friggin big premine:

https://github.com/FedoraShare/FedoraShare/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L1054

As I read that, there is only a POW reward for the first 200 blocks.

But to put that straight too: TIPS has no premine at all as you state:

https://github.com/fedoracoin-dev/fedoracoin/blob/master-0.9/src/main.cpp#L1304

edit: fixed wrong TIPS src link

Things are kinda slow these days, anything in the works?
