I do tend to agree with that sentiment of staking myself. I mine 24/7 so, the added electricity consumption of staking my mined and purchased coins is virtually non-existant. For many that do not leave a computer on all the time, it is nice to have the option.

It is important to note that any website, exchange or otherwise, is a very attractive target to hackers. With that in mind, coins kept at an online service like PoSWallet are subject to a greater risk. However; these services do take very stringent measures and follow tight security protocols.

If I did not run machines continually, I too would trust PoSWallet. In fact, I have placed many of my own personal BERNcash on PoSWallet. I did so immediately after they added BERN to benefit community members that did join the service to pitch in on the group wallet's weight. #notMeUS

If you do use a website like PoSWallet and have a vested interest in the sites oppositions, I would advise to follow them on social media to stay abreast of any developments or other important announcments. Of course, as I have done here, I do my best to relay any important announcments I am aware of.

I personally feel that in this industry of "pump and dump", "ICO's", "disappearing devs", and all the "get rich quick schemes and scams", sight of the real potentials has been lost as many suffer from nearsightedness. The tunnel-vision stems from greed, something I think Satoshi Nakamoto might frown upon. Remember, it is greed that drove the present day traditional financial systems to pave their own fate of eminent doom.

To those that their focal point cannot gaze from ROI, I would ask you to break your stare and look at a few other considerations. As previously stated, the flood gate of PoW generated coins is wide open right now, soon it will slow to a trickle. As long as you wish to hold your BERN, there is no reason you cannot stake and collect 10% APR. Be reminded you can use PoSWallet.com to do so and not even spend your own electricity to stake 24/7. Also, like-minded community members are coming forward with amazing ideas like BERNdebt. Think of the good that BERNdebt will do, the PR it will yield, the new users it will attract, and the price impact it will have! As any marketing expert with tell you, the best advertising is word of mouth.

True it will take time and elbow grease, but I can tell you, I have both. Yes it will take investors, but I am gaining their support. Yes I am only one person, but my resources and contact-list are expanding fast.  I intend to use BERN in a way that will make holders, Satoshi, myself, and yes even Bernie or Jill, proud of my own little grassroots project, BERNcash the people's coin. Since we can't have an election, we might as well have a coin.   Profit will be a certain output of that equation.

BERNcash is very special and more so than the average political coin. BERNcash is of a movement. Not only progressive politics, but progressive humanitarian thinking and doing. This is evident in our BERNdebt initiative we are working on. If you are looking for the same old, same old, no, you will not find it in this project. Our goals are much more grand. As previously mentioned, the coin was designed from the ground up to be easily acquired during this phase.

Many of the settings are specific to your GPU. So there may be future customization needed. What model GPU do you have?

minerd and cpuminer are both CPU miners. Running both at the same time on the same machine would not be advisable. Test to see which performs better and stick with that one. FYI, the minerd that is bundled with the BERN wallet is actually the 32 bit version of https://github.com/tpruvot/cpuminer-multi and, of course, used with his permission.

I do CPU mine and GPU mine at the same time with 1 machine. On a different machine, CPU mining slows my GPU mining down by a greater factor, so it is not advantageous to do so on that machine. You will have to experiment and watch your results. Sgminer is what I use for GPU mining, as I have AMD GPUs.

How much you mine is relative to the amount of hash you mine with. I have a laptop that will do about 30 kh/s CPU only and yields about a dozen BERN a day. I have a mining rig that does 7 mh/s and yields many thousands of BERN per day.

Also, the number of other miners plays into the equation. If there are many people mining BERN, you will get a smaller amount.

You should see your mined BERN in a few hours. It is automatically sent to the address you specify with the '-u' argument. It is advisable that you use the '-p c=BERN' argument so zpool knows you want your payout in BERNcash.

This is pool mining, in fact, easy pool mining. No registration, just click 'Start Mining'.

You are correct in one thing, solo mining with CPU only will almost never yield results with net hash as high as it is. But I made pool mining in the BERN wallet just as easy as solo mining is in many other wallets. Perhaps that is the source of your confusion.

I am a big proponent of public acceptance of crypto. Making mining, and yes pool mining, as easy as a click of one button was and is my attempt at lowering the learning curve and making entry easier. I do know my efforts have saved more then a few people sleepless nights of learning how to mine and configuring software to mine. The BERN wallet does it for you. Easy.

If the transaction is not accepted by the network, it will never be confirmed by the network.

I presume you are looking at a PoS reward. This happens when 2 nodes submit a PoS block at the same time. Both can not be accepted by the network, one must be rejected. You did not lose anything as your next reward will have compensated for this time.
