261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment Advice for year 2020 on: February 16, 2020, 10:38:49 PM
investing in altcoin is indeed riskier than bitcoin, because its value can go up / down very quickly, so some invest in bitcoin just to make a profit and then sell it, just like buying coins during the ICO / IEO, but now it has dropped a lot because of the numerous scams.
and people prefer to invest in existing currencies or in the top 50 cmc.
Review your needs and goals because it's well worth taking the time to think about what you really want from your investments. Also once you invest you must know the taking on risk and it's important that you understand before you invest that you could lose some or all of your money. And the smart thing to do is put enough money in a savings so if theres an emergency you have money to get.
262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: February 16, 2020, 09:33:30 PM
Bitcoin provides me knowledge because there are some terminologies, strategies and analysis in the crypto world that i always apply on my field of study learning crypto is a great way to improve my knowledge especially in trading, of course it also provides me extra income for my many expenses for my tuition fee and if there is extra i bought what i need when i earn something. i also met and knew a lot of people here in the community, through exchanging knowledge and services with each other.
Before I dont know what's bitcoin is really is, I only heard it from my classmate and to know it more I do some research about then I got interested then I enter to cryprocurrency. And after that i see my life begin to change becuase of bitcoin it gives me opportunity to change my way of living, also becuase of bitcoin gives me knowlegde about other crypto and what the used of them, it also give me knowledge to making a plan, goal and strategy to lead me to become successfull.
263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymous Gambling and Self Exclusion on: February 16, 2020, 01:59:43 PM

Most governments in the world don't agree with you.
The biggest names in the industry such as Pinnacle, BetFair, William Hill, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power, Coral, Bwin and more - also don't act based on your advice.

Likewise the consumption of alcoholic beverages is limited to only 18+ years in many countries (if not 21+ in other locations!)

Gambling in many countries is limited to a certain age - where anonymous gambling doesn't adhere to that guideline neither (hint: thus there is going to be a huge crackdown on several websites soon, others will follow suit once the punishment will be quite severe, this won't be a few hundreds or a few thousands - millions are going to be seized).

Underage gambling is a problem that is not even discussed here, and I'm sure some of the posters here will "ignore" it because according to them - the goal is to make as much money as possible "and screw all the rest".

Well, society doesn't work like this - if you think the situation is going to continue like this then you're living in an illusion, there is already a huge investigation going on and it's only a matter of time before several Crypto Anonymous Gambling sites will get shut down, and to be honest - I won't shed a single tear when this would happen.

On second thought I am thinking of other ways they can be more problems to settle but I think my solution is only applicable to live casino or actual casino's and that solution may be applicable only to few people and not certainly to all,

Well on the other hand online gambling that is anonymous doesn't have any age restriction that certain gambling site does give a thing if they would ruin a minors life by means of addiction, but I guess you are right maybe gambling sites needs to have a restriction regarding the matter and before they would get shut down regarding uncontrollable numbers of addicted.

The main reason why that underlying problems keep on happening, that's because a gambler has no will to change himself. Limiting ourselves is really a good advice, and I don't think it was really effective on addicted person because that was not easy for them to let go of that bondage. That needs self reflection and serious rehabilitation before a person would face his struggles of avoiding gambling activities.
There's many diversions that needs to be observed for a long period of time, it can sports or spending times with friends and relatives. This process may took several times to correct those problems behind.

Yes! this method is surely not applicable to all addicted person but it would only work on a few, and rehabilitation is a certain thing that must do but only if a gambler is voluntarily willing to take a rehab but if not we can really not do something about it,

And well, certain problems with crypto anonymous gambling sites is the age restriction, all can surely play gambling regarding if he has crypto to burn on that site then everyone can sure play, I think this is a huge problem regarding online gambling sites without KYC.
For me when person become addicted in gambling is the big problem becuase they cant decide anymore what is right or wrong, they only think about taking back there loses so they do anything just to win and they dont notice they are become addicted. I always advice everytime im in forum is to have goal and discipline to lessen the the addiction.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Double Checking while playing Roulette? on: February 16, 2020, 12:58:27 PM
Played Roulette in one of the reputed casino, on consecutive bets value spend was 0.00008192 eth. For the first two bets this was the value and mistakenly for the third consecutive bet unknowingly my fingers have touched the chips based on which value can be increased. This made the further bet amount to 1.00008192 eth, and the bet lost. Further I wasn't able to go for further betting. This ended the day a loss of more than an ethereum. If I've double checked I could've escaped such a massive loss.
Its an expensive mistake but you will learn from it. I had a costly mistake as well and that is by using the automated betting in dice sites. So what happened is I used automated betting, then set the options to increase % when I win and increase % when I lose. This means regardless of whats the outcome, my bet size will increase. The problem is I switched to another game and used the auto bet as well, but this time the system continued to use the settings from the other game I played. Unknowingly my bet jacked up to 0.01BTC per roll and its very costly.
Even not playing Roulette you must always do double checking everytime we playing because it can lessen us to make mistake. Also doing it everytime possible to lead in successful playing even sometime the outcome is not good still no regret because you do your part just learn from it.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TIPS FOR NEWBIE GAMBLERS ! on: February 16, 2020, 09:01:36 AM
[1] You should read their T & C for the website, if they need to verify the account first before deposit and withdrawal and you feel not really confertable you can skip the site so you don't waste a time register to their site. Also if you cant find it, some gambling platform have a chatroom went we can ask their service without making an account. Just chat them asking about the term.
This should be added as a tip for newbies. I wonder why this is not added in the op. This kind of tip will help newbies why they should read the terms and conditions. Reading the terms and conditions of a casino or bookies would help newbies what rules that newbies should obey and what to avoid.
The tips for newbie gambler is to have goal becuase goal give you focus, help you to stay motivated, also having a goal is the first step to become successful. Another tips before they do gambling they must read the term and condition  before they play. And also dont take it seriously do it for entertainment then have control and time management it can help to avoid being addited in gambling.
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can save some people's lives :-> on: February 15, 2020, 10:56:38 PM
moist air can be on paper money especially in some places that have a high relative humidity. Transmission of the body fluids e.g sweat to the money is very possible. Although the probability of being transmitted through money is really small but if we consider how dangerous this virus is, I think it is more reasonable to be using electronic payment methods. I still remember those period of ebola crisis in Nigeria, It was like everyone is going to die especially in some densely populated cities like lagos. I pray the vaccines for corona virus is developed soon, so that China can be free of this endemic
For me yes not only bitcoin but some of cryptocurrency because when you have any of them especially bitcoin it can give you huge profit when its value strike up. That why many people are wanting to have bitcoin, but unfortunately bitcoin is only limited stock thats why some people trying other crypto which also can help them through their financial. For me having a bitcoin there is a chance you might have a good living and really help you financially.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Hardware wallet really secure enough? on: February 15, 2020, 08:02:39 PM

It has been demonstrated that Trezor and Ledger have been hacked.
They certainly not fire proof, water will damage them, corrosion will also put an end to it, and so a blow with a hammer driver over it or electricity.
Never seen it demonstrated a private key with 7 or longer character password get hacked. None of the before mentioned will affect a steel plate.
Its debatable if Trezor and Ledger are even "hardware" wallets.
I think yes hardware wallet is one of the types of wallet to choose and I think its enough to secure our money. But still theres possibility hardware wallet can be hacked especually when you put easy pasdword, so I think before we put are money in wallet make sure our password is really hard to guess and only you know about it. To prevent hacked our wallet we should have strong password to make.
268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: two gambling games that are players favorite on: February 15, 2020, 04:11:45 PM
There are two games gamblers like this are card games and dice games ive seen people who look for this games everywhere , because this games are easy to learn and dont need too much effort how to do it, at the same time there is a bit high chance to win, aside from other games do you agree with me, feel free to share ypur opinion thanks
Those two are the most famous and the easiest for some reasons too but the bets on such games are really high. I've experienced playing those two but you should not belittle these games cause strategy on these two are quite complex and you should definitely think about your decisions before committing it too. You can also see lots of gambling games that involves cards and dice since the efficiency upon playing these are much better compared to other games like betting in sports which are much easier and you do not have to think about your decisions on it for too long.
Dice games is one of the favorite gambling games most of the player because there is a chance to win and easy to play. You only need to decide the amount you are comfortable with and choose the type of bet you would like to place then after that wait for the result. Also there is much better gambling games you can play but you should know what consequence before you involve to it.
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your recommended ways of gambling. on: February 15, 2020, 12:58:41 PM
You should gamble money that you can afford to lose. And you should learn when to exit if you are winning. Or if you think that you are unlucky that day, then stop, then force yourself otherwise you might end up losing more.

Of course there are lots of strategies around specially martingale, if you don't know how to use it then don't. You better off playing with your end strategy of winning, just saying.

If people can control greed then gambling is a fun to play and have a good time. As suggested above try and ensure people play to enjoy and not just to make money every time you play because it is not going to happen. Also, carry limited amount with you while gambling so that you would end up losing only that amount though however you may be highly addicted to continue but you will have to quit as you do not have money.

Self discipline is a must, learn to accept the possible outcomes of your decisions before risking your money because gambling won't give you any assurance. Learn to control yourself as you gamble, don't let the greediness inside you makes an impact on your decision making. Gamble but set your own limitation, its consistently recommended by numerous individuals since we know how it can assist us with avoiding feeling remorse on our own choices by being endeavored by the money we have.
I'll also recommend self discipline or self control because it can help us to not become addicted and had a big chance to win in gambling or lessen our loses, if someone has no goal possible they lose a lot and it can lead to become greedy and cause of addiction. Have strategy is one of the best way when you gambling, also having time management can help to manage gambling.
270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among us here has been addicted but successfully cured addiction? on: February 15, 2020, 02:01:15 AM
I agree that we can consider gambling addiction as a disease somehow that sticks on you till it consumes everything that you have.
I actually call gambling addiction as a parasite on our body which will suck all the money we have until there is nothing left in the body.

In my case, I have been into gambling addiction way back 2017 when bitcoin's value was still very high. I was confident enough cause my investment went very well till the day came where all of the profit I made from my bitcoin investment was all gone. My fellow investor and friends helped me to cure my addiction till I was able to completely end it and regain all of my losses.
Right, once we leave gambling its much easier to regain control over our losses than we actually believe. I have been there and I lost around $300 which I thought I would never recover but then as I started working and actually got into bitcoins, it was earned in a matter of months.

My suggestion to everyone is, once you get out of gambling, just quit it. I mean it is similar to smoking where you either quit smoking or you just smoke once a week and you will be addicted again very soon.
I think leaving in gambling is the one way to cured from being addicted, limiting and controlling yourself is a best way to not become addicted and no need to stop. Addiction is not easy to cure but it can be prevent by starting to set up bound to yourself and have goal before you start in gambling because who become addited are the greedy person.
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would make you stop gambling? on: February 14, 2020, 09:32:45 PM
Lack of money.

If I lose all of my money, I will stop gambling. I'm not like the other gamblers out there who will find a way in order for them to have money that will be use for gambling. I stopped gambling already because I can't save any penny at the times where I gambled everyday. Now I can save more money because I stopped gambling.

Lack of money and at the same time, usage of money.

I agree lack of money is the reason why I stop gambling because its not easy to gamble when you dont have enough money to play. Also having lack of time is one of my reason to stop gambling because not all the time I can gamble because I have work to do, even gambling can give me profit still not good to depend on it because not all ths fime i'll win. I think its better to have time management to still continue gambling even if you have work to do.
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Biggest winning so far on: February 14, 2020, 03:59:51 PM
Is that a net profit, or $200 maximum win?

A lot of people like to boast about huge wins, but few of these people mention exactly how much they lost in the process.

We need to see more transparent threads like this, where we see exactly what it took to win a prize, rather than simply boasting.

Because our brains are satisfied with the one large result and simply ignores the little but many negative changes in our balances.

There's no point in bragging on an $1000 win by betting $1 if before the win you've lost >=1000 times. But, speaking from experience, unless you specifically care to check how much you've spent before winning a bet, you're going to just ignore that and think you've been so lucky to earn the big jackpot.

I wont mention the value but I think its enough for me to buy things I really like. Winning is one of the best feeling and having fun while doing it, for me thats really matter. Either you win or lose as long as you enjoy what you doing then that is priceless just dont be addictive. Dont be a greedy just to a win big just keep yourself humble all the time, wait for your time to earn a lot by means of having a goal and not by spend to much money.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much Money You Need To Win To Stop gambling, Is This Possible. on: February 14, 2020, 02:56:25 PM
There are two kinds of gamblers: those who stop when their winning exceeds a certain threshold and those who can't stop until they lose everything. The first group is the majority of gamblers, around 90%-95% of them, and for this group it's enough to win a certain amount, which is different for different people, to feel happy about their win, and to cashout instead of trying to win more. People from the second group are addicted gamblers. They are sick, and they need a medical treatment. Fortunately, most people have the power to control themselves. If it weren't so, gambling would be prohibited everywhere.

When they can stop after their winning, then that will not be a problem for them, but mostly, a gambler will trying to get another winning. That is happening to many gamblers, and maybe they have not addicted people to gambling, but they only want to get another winning. But some people make goals in gambling, and if they reach their goals, they will stop and leave gambling. Maybe they will come back on another day, but they won't use the winning money to gamble for longer because they don't want to see their win money will lose.

For me you dont need to stop gambling even you have enough money because money is possible to consume entirely. Just make sure not to be addicted to it, if you think you lose a lot then rest for a while and think what next you do, so that you avoid and wont happen again. Also its possible to stop gambling because its depend to someone, those who stop gambling are the one who have enough money.
274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than your bank! on: February 14, 2020, 06:59:54 AM
talking about storing our money?yes Bitcoin is much better than Banks because the volatility in totality are our chance to Make our money more bigger than what banks can offers us.
giving 2-5% annual profit?when in crypto if we are lucky to buy in cheaper value?in just a year or 2 we can double, triple or much more our investments, same policy in bank that we need to wait right?so yes Bitcoin is much better than Banks.

thanks for the Link mate yeah it is worth sharing.
When it becomes storing I think its better to stored in bank while in Bitcoin is also good becuase of increasing value even sometimes is an unpredictable. But if you compare it the value bitcoin is much higher and can have bigger profit than bank. For me its better to have both because its good for our future, also there both have difference to used.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Site's Investing (Is it worth it?) on: February 12, 2020, 12:35:24 PM
Yes, that will better to invest in gambling than in ICO because we don't know how we can get the profit. Many ICO has to turn into a scam, so the chance for us to make a profit will not be too big.
But I heard that some ICO offers people to invest with them, but I still look that as a suspicious thing because the ICO is hard to succeed in a short time, especially with the current situation now.
Yes of course some of them are worth it to invest, just make sure you know it before you invest. And to make sureif your investment is in a good hand then have a research about the gamblimg site you want to invest. Just be careful of choosing a gambling site if you have guts then dont continue, sometime we should follow our instict because instinct alerted us to the danger and we know by instinct that something was wrong
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Leave gambling, if it destroys you. on: February 12, 2020, 11:03:16 AM
In a way every addiction kills that addict. Thats why they are all a type of poison and that is why people like it. However a responsible gambler, like I have previously knows his bankroll and his gambling habit. They would know how to manage their work life, personal life and the gambling habit. If they cannot do this properly then they need to seek professional help. I think every gambler should spend some time taking care of their bad habits and promise to themselves not to waste too much time and money on playing.

After all we all should help others seek the proper path in life and not shame the addicts. They can change their ways with time and they need support.
Gambling is not good, but still many people are taking risk to gamble because of possible huge earning. Also i think gambling is the easy way to increase your money if you win but if not people spend again until they do it regularly and become addictive to it. Thats why we should know if its good to continue or stop it, dont waste your money you should have plan on how you spend it, do gamble just for fun not for hobby.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health 🤕symptoms on: February 12, 2020, 02:17:52 AM
I have read this article: Youth gambling problems: a public health perspective I consider it important for gamblers, Gambling addiction greatly contributes to drug and alcohol abuse and theft. Joining a casino makes you lose a lot of money and smoke a lot of cigarettes and wine, This, of course, will pose a major threat to your health!!!

Can crypto really give solutions to gambling addicts?
-Eliminate drug and alcohol addiction.
-Get rid of bad habits like theft.
-Reducing the risk ratio.....

😉Did joining gambling make you addicted to drugs and drink?!!

Absolutely not! we cannot blame our addiction or being an addict on the things that we are doing or the things that at the first place is our choice, life is a matter of choice, so when you decide to gamble, it is your choice, not anybody else, when you become addicted on it or to those vice-like drugs and alcohol it is not a problem involving gambling, it is not, so it is rather not a solution  either,  control yourselves and take care of everything under your responsibility.
278  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can the Outbreak of CORONA Virus lead to Increase ..... on: February 11, 2020, 05:21:08 PM
Besides, there is no clear evidence that those who are pulling their investment in Chinese stocks are putting it on the cryptocurrency industry, I believe that it is more probable to be put in Gold stocks.  This increase is probably and more likely due to the incoming halving as you said.
NCOV may have an effect on the cryptocurrency market somehow but I do not think it is that big enough to push the price of BTC at the current level.
Agree with you, there is no quite good evidence or proof that they gonna pull their money and investment and put it in crypto. The thing is, halving is on its way, so that we may experience pump this season, and some correcting in prices. I do not think that it has both a connection but I also consider this one since they cannot spend their money freely now, so there's a chance.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing? on: February 11, 2020, 10:38:20 AM
From my experience I find it easier to stop while losing already rather than keep on playing after a win, and this is the case no matter what game I play, as it seems that as soon as I got a win I can happily go away for a while but when I lose constantly its frustrating to see how easily you lose everything. So, I suppose there's some sort of control when to stop.

you eventually improve if you keep learning, losing control is normal to people as we are just human, we have our emotion but keep doing the same mistake over and over, I would call that stupidity and we have no room for improvement in gambling, instead it will only destroy our lives.
Losing cannot be avoided since it will be natural in gambling because sometimes the odds are very unpredictable since it will become so hard when there are so many probabilities, it is hard to speculate. all we can do is accept that not all the game that we are into , not all the time we will gonna win and get the jackpot or huge money, we can be lose sometimes, but losing too often is alarming, frequent losing needed a break.
I am one of the persons who never stops playing if I am winning because I think to myself I didn’t have this money before so why not reinvest it in the slots I am playing.I can stop playing when I am losing because I start to think and if I continue to play I risk to lose more and more.Even when I am winning I only continue to play up to the point where I start to lose my initial amount of money.
Sometimes, winning makes us to not to stop  game and continue to play it , even we already won a lot it drives us to continue and play until we are tired, but we need to control this one, do not stop , just pause for a little while.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone still earning with bounties? on: February 10, 2020, 11:26:16 PM
Bounties are no longer profitable like before.During 2017 and 2018 one can easily earn lots of money as a bounty hunter unlike nowadays where one struggles to earn just some little bucks even if some people are earning from bounty then it is very low unlike before. We just hope the market will improve and all things will be back to normal.
Yes, since then I stop earning in bounties, and did not join even airdrop. I dont want to waste my time again that is why i did not join bounties again. I did not see any bounties as good like when 2017 , I hope that bounty hunting will back again, no more scam bounties and projects. In that way people will start earning again and trust will bring back.
