261  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if Bitcoin drops to $15,000? on: January 07, 2021, 10:22:33 AM
We don't know if it will drop that low.

All I know is that since we are seeing the price that we have right now, and it drops that low, there will be a lot of people that would surely invest and reinvest at that drop. They will be taking that dump as an opportunity to drive the price to another ATH or maybe back to the price we have right now. Like what happened when the price dropped at $3K.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: January 07, 2021, 10:09:51 AM
But Some gamblers believe that it's purely Luck and that is why the diversion comes commonly , they don't even spare more time in evaluating but just betting , of course we are far different from them because we want at least some assurances that our bets will be placed in right one .
That is because they want to try their luck and still continue playing gambling for more rounds. Evaluating the previous game will be necessary to know what we need to modify to give us more chances to win. We can learn from our mistakes to have a better chance, but that does not mean that we can win because luck is still there.

Does luck really apply to it?

I mean each team has its share of chances or possibilities of winning the game. You bet on one team because maybe of your analysis that shows that they will or could win the match. Since they have their own shares of chances of winning, you never know what to bet so people usually bet on low odds. Sometimes the higher odds win but it is not because of luck but it is quite surprising given that they are the underdog or has the lower percentage of winning the game.
263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 07, 2021, 07:47:13 AM
Advertisements are actually made to trap the people to use their service so those gambling sites gone bit extreme and tried to attract the underage people.Well a reputed gambling site can easily defend even if there is a lawsuit made against them with their money power so governments should bring strict regulations for advertisements as well if they really don't want such kind of ads which attract kids.

But what if they are not actually aiming for these underage people.

I think that's what happened. I think they are not actually aiming for these children to see the advertisement. In fact, if you will be reading the articles posted by the OP, it said that

Quote
The paid-for Facebook post was on a page only adult users can view.

meaning they are not actually aiming for them. If we will be talking about regulations, that would be hard since we are talking about Facebook here putting that ad on adult's ads but still viewed by these teenagers.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting History - 2020 on: January 07, 2021, 04:48:00 AM
As long as we can afford it, that is just fine.
Nope that's Bad Impression to be as a gambler because if we can afford today maybe we cannot tomorrow , Just gamble with Part of your Funds  and time ,Not for the entire availability .

You can afford to lose that amount, that is what I meant.

That "parts of your funds" you are saying are what I meant when I said that. The reason there's "as long as you can afford",  I don't think you understand what I am saying, nor the meaning of the word "afford". That is not to push people to gamble as they can, what I meant is them to gambling as long as they can take that losses, and as you've said just the "part of the funds" of that gambler.
265  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown due to covid19 is painful on: January 07, 2021, 04:35:00 AM
Not a good year but we survived.

We all know it is hard but we should realize that a lot of people were hit harder by this pandemic. Some lost their families and as far as I know, there is this story where his/her family died and he/she is the only one who survived. It is hard but we should look on the positive side, we continue living and prove to this world that we are all strong but we need to learn.
We know how many people have loss their family by pandemic covid 19 and we always hope this pandemic could ended in this year, almost one year we always discussing with covid 19 and thousand hundred people was pas away after positive covid 19 and we can see our family when get this covid, but always have the end of pandemic era because right now have vaccine and hope could working well to make pandemic over ended.

We still can't be so sure.

It is true that we already have the vaccine but I think we still have two problems:
1. It is still not enough; and
2. There is a new variant of Covid that is said to be more contagious than the previous one.

I think it would take another year or maybe years for us to be completely free from this pandemic and that would just mean that for those who are unemployed would be more painful.
266  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin volatility here to stay? on: January 07, 2021, 02:38:21 AM
Bitcoin volatility has not really come to stay yet but there is a speculation that it cannot fall below $20k, but yet to be confirm by me.

What do you mean?

Bitcoin is volatile, in fact, one of the words that would come into your mind when you talk about bitcoin is its volatility. The reason that we are seeing this huge price leap for a period of weeks now is the fact that Bitcoin is volatile. Volatility doesn't just talk about dumping of price, as long as the price quickly changes in short period of time, as long as it can be affected by small movements, it is volatile.
267  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC crossed $34K. $40K this week? on: January 07, 2021, 02:31:28 AM
That is a probable scenario.

I think Bitcoin will rise at that price considering the fact that we are now closing to another ATH at $37K this month. It seems the price is still pushing through which seems to be very surprising. If this continues, I think we might also see the price at $40K and if that still pushes through, the golden mark of $50K might be attained in the next few weeks.
268  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin gradually clinching to $40k on: January 06, 2021, 09:30:02 AM
I think we can do it.

The price of Bitcoin is still going strong and I don't think it would just fall. We can still go further and I think $40K is the next ATH we are looking for, if it keeps pushing I think we will still be seeing new heights at $45K or $50K. The last time I checked the price, it is at $35K, right now it is at $33.9K, it just fell $1K that quick.
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting History - 2020 on: January 06, 2021, 09:23:33 AM
Just like trading, nothing is real until you cash out though! The problem with such stats is how tempting it is to go for even more. Wipe the slate clean for the year and start as if nothing happened,,, deposit with an amount you can lose, like always. Otherwise you lose it all AND more when you start chasing "losses".

As long as we can afford it, that is just fine.

Still, those losses could be a profit in the future. Since I am not addicted to gambling, I could be able to stop whenever I wanted to but that is not the same with other gamblers. For those gamblers, with the Bitcoin price having a great run, I hope they could stop risking their money and just hold it in for the profit they have this year.
270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambler who manages to beat the casino through cheating on: January 06, 2021, 08:50:50 AM
So this cheating real stories from Casino guys only proves you cannot win huge amount of money in any casinos without cheating?
Win against casinos by sheer luck = legal
Win against casinos by skills = illegal or cheating

That's just how they look at it since everyone is convinced that nobody can win against casinos using skills alone and without cheating.
Card counting is a great skill but casinos are so scared of losing money so they prohibited it.

That is a great perspective.

These people have their own skills and they are just taking or using them to be able to make them a profit but in another perspective, that application of skill is considered as cheating. Like those people exploiting the vulnerability of those machines which means they are skilled when it comes to those machines. That is skill.
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 06, 2021, 07:14:56 AM
1. Why did the company use this kind of advertising in the first way ?

I think that is because of the fact that the new generation loves cute things?

I don't have any proof about it but I just say this based on the things I am experiencing and seeing on a daily basis. They love dogs, cats, pets in general that is so cute and fluffy the reason maybe they are using these strategies to advertise their services. Another thing is that it seems just a game to them since it includes these things not actually realizing their gambling.

2. What should we do to ensure that kids under 18 doesn't start to gamble? We cannot ask them for identity cards and then expect them to show.

This is the problem with the internet.

Every child could gamble whenever, wherever they can. We people can't do anything with it, owners can't do anything with it since even before they are having these advertisements, there are still a lot of children gambling online even offline. Right now, the parents are the only ones who could make a change by taking care of them and putting safety measures to avoid their children accessing these sites or platforms.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH hits $1000 on: January 06, 2021, 06:58:38 AM
I think it is still worth it.

The price might be moving slowly comparing to the large leaps and movements Bitcoin is doing right now but that is just fine. Bitcoin has the same movements in the past but I am not saying that it is the same as bitcoin, what I am saying is that each cryptos has its own down and I think they will also have their ups in the near future. We just need to wait.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: want to invest .. on: January 06, 2021, 04:53:12 AM
Better go with the alts that are known and popular.

If you would go with those other altcoins, it might be dangerous, and you would lose your investment. If you want, you can just wait for Bitcoin to fall down and at the right timing, you can just invest. There are a lot of coins available but you never know what is the right one because no one knows how will the market move. For me, as long as you can afford to lose, you should go for it.
274  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who actually moves the price of bitcoin? on: January 06, 2021, 04:30:24 AM
Is there a way to know who is buying the btc/selling it right now when looking at an exchange?  Like if someone is offering or wanting to buy a lot of btc... think hundreds or more... you got to assume that is some wealthy or rich person right?  And in the thousands... would obviously be institutions?

I don't know if there is an exchange like that.

If you want to check wallets with thousands and thousands of Bitcoins, go to Blockchain.info and check the transactions that are happening there. You don't know, you might be able to spot a wallet with thousands of Bitcoin in it. There are individuals that hold thousands of Bitcoin, not just institutions or companies. As far as I know, most of them are the early investors.
275  Economy / Speculation / Re: What you'll do when BTC price will go down heavily and fast? on: January 06, 2021, 02:56:43 AM
It is not on the options.

I am saving some of my salaries for that and if ever, let's say it actually happens and drop to that point; obviously, I will be reinvesting. With the recoveries that happened in the history of Bitcoin, we should know that the lower the price drops, the higher it will come back giving us more profits in the process. Buy low sell/hold high.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: January 06, 2021, 02:53:20 AM
I take it out of the gambling site but I usually do those three.

I have a separate account for gambling. Every time I receive my signature campaign earnings weekly, I immediately take it out of the site because I learned from my mistake where I bet my earnings and lost them all. Despite the low amount of that earnings, if I will be converting that to USD right now, that could be traded or useful to me.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambler who manages to beat the casino on: January 06, 2021, 02:12:08 AM
Similar to the MIT gambling team, I remember watching a documentary called 'Holly Rollers' about a group of Christians who formed a team of card counters and made a business out of trying to beat casinos at blackjack. According to Wikipedia, they received $1.2 million in investments and won over $3 million. Eventually, they started getting banned from casinos and they disbanded after six years.

This is amazing.

Never thought that there are other teams like the MIT group. I've seen this title on Netflix in the past and I don't actually think that it is about gambling. I will be watching it, it might be good.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambler who manages to beat the casino on: January 05, 2021, 11:05:02 AM
What? They are all cheaters!

I will be agreeing to some of the most popular gamblers that construct strategies to some games that are banned right now in most of the casinos. This list just proves that most of the time if we wanted to beat the casino or the house, you need an accomplice, tricks and cheats, or maybe some exploits to machines that the casino is using.

280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I quit smoking and buy Bitcoin every week on: January 05, 2021, 08:20:54 AM
This is just amazing.

Congratulations man! I hope you continue this. Addiction is not a joke, gambling or smoking, it is the worst. The fact that you stopped gambling and make it into an opportunity to invest and earn is just amazing. Not all smokers can do this, they might calculate the expenses they've done in a week or month but they won't be able to do this immediately.
