The same heatsink that comes on 60 GH/s long boards are the ones I'm referring to.
262  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 19, 2013, 04:52:27 AM
Well, if they made promises on returns then that's just crazy... how can anyone guarantee that?

But anyway, my wasn't directed at you, it was directed at people complaining that they paid X amount in BTC for their miners and that X amount is now worth Y. The point is, if someone could predict the BTC price, why didn't this hypothetical someone buy more BTC after they sent your BTC to Hashfast?  In fact, if they knew BTC was going to go up as much as it has, why buy a miner at all?  Like I said, mortgage the house and sell your relatives into slavery instead (but only if you can predict the future BTC price).

263  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hacking a BFL Jalapeno to 20GH and beyond.... on: November 19, 2013, 04:35:56 AM
We have test units in the shop that have 8 chips that run fine with a heatpipe heatsink.  Out of the 8 or so we have for test, to my knowledge only one has failed since about June... you should be able to run an 8 chip Jalapeno just fine with adequate cooling, at least for a few months.  Of course, it voids your warranty... however, as a side note, if it does fail, the chips will likely be ok and reballing those chips and putting them on another board would probably be just fine.
264  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 19, 2013, 03:43:24 AM
If you guys who spent all that money knew the price was going to go up, why didn't you buy more BTC with the BTC you spent?  Hell, if you knew it was going up, why didn't you mortgage the house and sell your pets and family members into slavery?  You could have purchased them back at twice the price and still come out ahead.
265  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: November 19, 2013, 03:00:44 AM
He is right though, why would anyone who has problems come here and bitch and moan instead of going to the proper place?

How many thousands of complaints does one have to read and delete or ignore before people get fed up and report it to the FTC or the AG in Kansas.

Remarkably you want to ignore the plight of 100s who have had to fight tooth and nail to get refunds and still 100s more who are still expecting BFL to refund them according to FTC regulations.

Why do you continually ignore the plight of 100s of people?

Obviously you are being "paid" in some manner to defend BFL as no one can be that obtuse or sociopathic when it comes to the financial pain of hundreds who have every right to expect refunds. At this point it there is little evidence to support that BFL is a reputable supplier of ASIC mining equipment. They refused to provide refunds. Their own website is purposefully using double speak and unclear really on when these next units will ship. Coupled with a ALL SALES ARE FINAL stipulation should warn off everyone from anything BFL. There are plenty of other competitors that will ship, that have shipped and who have rightly and honestly given refunds.

Sad... just sad. You and Inaba are not going to fool anyone here with this diatribe. BFL will get a 28nm out to the market behind at least 3 or 4 other fabricators given their own timeline.

DO NOT BUY BFL PRODUCTS. SIMPLE SOLUTIONS FOR US ALL. Especially when it won't make a dime.

Sorry, but 99.99% of the complaints *I* see boil down to "Wah, wah, wah, my money making machine won't make the money I thought it would, I want a refund".  You point to yourself as a paragon of virtue in having refunded your hapless customers when you couldn't deliver, but you were able to get a refund yourself on the chips you only bought and did not have to create from scratch.  You had no research or development costs, you just piggybacked on the success of others and so it was easy for you to refund since you bore little of the expense.  You obviously disagree, but these are basically special orders being made.  Orders were taken and quantities of product were bought to satisfy those orders.  Unlike you, they can't call up the chip foundry and ask for a refund on chips they no longer need due to refunds.  As had been stated MANY times, refunds were allowed up until they started full production.  They even had it mandatory that you had to agree to the terms or by default you'd be refunded.

Sorry dude, but I could care less about people and their greed having buyers remorse.  I did my research before buying and I've made several BTC while waiting for my purchase to be filled and have turned those into even more with judicious market management.  Looking at the blogs, my Jalapeno should ship soon and at current rates I'll be making ~$4 a day.  To me that's a win as I'll be making more with it than I was with my GPU when I placed my order and it'll cost me a LOT less for power usage.

Face it dude, you're just a broken record stuck on the same tune over and over again.  Maybe you need to go relax, take a vacation, all this hate must be causing your blood pressure to rise to unhealthy levels.

I don't think Darin here is filled with hate, BCP.  He's just so devoid of anything interesting or positive in his life that his only joy is trolling on the internet.  It's a common problem for people like him.  They have nothing meaningful in their life, so they seek out attention and camaraderie through posting lies and misinformation to drum up drama wherever they go.  It's pretty fascinating to watch the mental gymnastics Bick has to go through to get to where he is. He is Olympic level nutbaggery by anyones measure... it's just a shame he's allowed contact with children, who knows what kind of damage he does with his little illegal "school" he runs in the Philippines.

Reddit is 100 times better than any forum software imho

Reddit is great for news.  It's complete shit for back and forth discourse over the course of days.

Reddit and forums serve two entirely different purposes and one can't replace the other adequately.  Although some of the features of Reddit would be welcome here, for sure.
267  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Weekly pool and network statistics on: November 18, 2013, 07:23:55 AM
It's possible, yes...

I think I found one other place that is not showing the shares properly and it might affect the share count for a round... I need to investigate it further, but it's kinda late here.  I will get to it ASAP.  The share count should definitely be more accurate but I'm not sure it's 100% accurate without further investigation.  The way I have PPS, Anonymous PPS and DGM shares in the tables makes collating all those shares properly somewhat difficult, as they all reside in different tables in the database, which makes paying the shares much easier.  If it had it to do over, I'd have designed it very differently, but with all projects that kind of grow as time goes along, it's kind of convoluted now.

The pool originally started as Prop, then switched to GM, then to DGM, then added PPS, then added Anonymous PPS... ugh.

268  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Weekly pool and network statistics on: November 17, 2013, 07:28:32 PM
@Organofcorti:  The crazy luck I think have may been due to anonymous PPS shares not being included in the round totals for share count.  I've corrected that issue and share counts should be proper going forward.
269  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [90 TH] EMC: No Fee DGM. Anonymous PPS. on: November 17, 2013, 07:20:09 PM
All share display areas in the UI should now report diff1 shares, as opposed to the mixed message EMC was sending before, when some places were showing actual shares and some were showing diff1 shares.  If there's a place that is not showing diff1 shares that is not explicitly labeled as actual shares, let me know and I will get it fixed.

270  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: EclipseMC reporting inconsistent share contributions? on: November 17, 2013, 07:18:59 PM
All share listings should now report diff1 shares instead of actual shares... I think I found everything.  If there's somewhere that's not reporting properly, let me know and I'll get it fixed.
271  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: November 17, 2013, 05:20:22 PM
Haha... troll city!  Not a single one will actually take the bet.  It's all about trolling, not telling the truth!

God forbid people like Christian "Xian" Antkow and Darin "Bicknellski" Bicknell (the man who can't even make an ASIC board when other supply ALL of the technology, then tries to tell people who actually make the technology how to do business.  The very height of asshattery.) actually tell the truth in their posts!  It makes much more fun drama to make things up constantly lie about everything.
272  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: November 16, 2013, 11:44:52 PM

So the Friday update looks like this:

Friday, November 15,2013 Shipping Update

Jalapenos 5 gh/s: May 24, 2013

Little Singles 25 gh/s and 30 Upgrades: May 14, 2013

Single 50 gh/s and 60 Upgrades: April 25, 2013 pay date

MiniRigs: Now shipping Nov 2013 , All June 2012-October 2013 MiniRig orders complete.

Which leaves the burning question:

WHO IN THE HELL ORDERED A MINIRIG IN NOVEMBER OF 2013 THAT NEEDS SHIPPING?

p.s. still haven't cleared April. Monday as I predicted.

Wow, the little singles jumped forward about 2.5 weeks.  Kinda shoots a hole in your March 2014 prediction.  The minirig also shoots a hole in your SALES....STOPPED lol.

You can never say "Sales Stopped" when folks like you are around. You take it as a literal when clearly there are folks (like yourself) who would still pay $22k for 500gh in November.

Further, March 2014 was based on clearing ALL backorders, which is inclusive of the 6+ months they still have to ship. Josh missed the "Clear April orders" by 118 days.......... so close!!
You seem to fail to see they've cleared the bigest hurdle... Mar/Apr.  They'll be done LONG before March 2014... heck, they'll even be done before the end of the year.  I'll bet you 1BTC right now that they'll be done before Dec 15th.

None of the trolls will take you up on that bet. They know they are lying and just plain trolling... Can't wait to see the excuses they give for not taking that bet.

278  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: EclipseMC cheating on share payments? on: November 13, 2013, 08:33:16 PM
I agree, 1diff as the base share is the way to go. It is on my priority list, I will see what I can do over the next few days.
279  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: EclipseMC cheating on share payments? on: November 13, 2013, 06:44:54 AM
Share display is not consistent throughout EMC.  Some places displays actual shares submitted and some places display 1diff shares submitted.  It's something that I probably need to get taken care of, but since it's only a visual issue, it hasn't been a high priority.  That's the problem with being the first one to implement new things like vardiff... there's no standard and I had to figure it out as I went along.  It's much easier for the pools coming behind to adhere to a standard.

Anyway, I assure you that you are getting full credit for your shares.  Take a look at your payouts, they should reflect your hashrate properly, that would be the real measure.

Just as an FYI, minimum share difficulty is set at 10 on EMC.  Everyone gets difficulty 10 shares and it goes up from there.  It never drops below 10.

EU appears to be up and functioning normally.  Are you still having trouble?
