So far it looks like a more or less normal correction, 20% falls happened before many times. A lot of money is transferred to Bitcoin Cash, which is being pumped like crazy (and Bitcoin Gold too). Again, we've seen this before.

Making predictions for 20 years into the future is a thankless task, especially when speaking about bitcoin price. However, $100k in a few years is possible.

I think bitcoin will remain the "main player", but its share may drop below 50%. Bitcoin may become good for investment and store of value ('digital gold'), while altcoins may become media of payment, some of them niche ones.

I would divide the funds between several hardware and cold storage wallets. The seeds that allow to restore wallets (both types) can be kept in encrypted password manager databases (like KeePass) and the databases can be backed up (encrypted backups) to remote servers (cloud storage, for example). Seeds on paper in a bank deposit boxes are also a viable option.

I remember that the first time I've learned about bitcoin was from an article which reported that a curios thing called cryptocurrency had just reached parity with U.S. dollar. That's it, $1 per BTC. It was the beginning of 2011...

And I cannot deposit tokens to the exchange. Transferring from one wallet to another (one created at EtherDelta) took less than a minute. Then I hit 'deposit', was informed about transaction and... nothing happened. And I cannot retry because there is some 'error'.

Favorite?! It's the worst exchange I've seen, by far. Extremely slow, buggy and unreliable. Orders do not appear, transfers do not work, all at random. The interface is horrible. I use it only when there is no other option.

I do. The amounts of Ethereum and tokens I have there are not large enough to justify using something more complicated. It's enough for storing tokens from airdrops and bounties.

The data may be somewhat inaccurate (some addresses may belong to cold wallets of exchanges), but it's not surprising, The majority of wealth (irrespective of form - money, shares, etc.) in the current economic system is always controlled by a small minority. Forking or anything similar will not help.

I don't think so. The current sate of AI research is nowhere near the level necessary for creating such complex things. However, I agree with the idea that Satoshi Nakamoto might be a group of people, not a single person.

Yes, the fees are too high and been too high for a while. I think higher-level solutions (such as Lightning Network) are the only hope. Until then, bitcoin is completely unsuitable for online payments and other small transactions.

No reason to worry now. $1000 drop is less than 6% or $17k. For bitcoin it is perfectly normal, just a minor correction. I was not worried by the previous one, which was more than 15%. Moreover, I was relieved to finally see it after that crazy uninterrupted surge from $10k.

Well, it is completely unusable now. Submitted orders never appear in the order list.

No, you are not alone. I see "? ? ?" for all balances and zero for my ETH balance in right upper corner. Checked through etherscan, it's not zero, everything is still there. Cleaned the cookies, no effect. The site is unusable. This is the worst, slowest and most buggy exchange of all that I've seen. Absolutely horrible.

Right now (about $14k by Coinmarketcap) it looks like a perfectly normal (and long awaited) correction after the crazy pump that happened few day before. I would not be surprised by $13k or even $12k.

Yes, it was crazy. I hope it took a break and the price will stabilize around the current level, although I would not be surprised by further drop to $12-13k.
