261  Economy / Economics / Re: New crypto law in Bangladesh? on: April 13, 2022, 10:28:02 PM
For now, the country of Bangladesh still prohibits the use of cryptocurrencies on the grounds to prevent money laundering and warns its citizens not to violate the Money Laundering Prevention Act, 2012”. but many Bangladeshi investors have been in cryptocurrency, so this ban cannot stop the growth of bitcoin in Bangladesh.
Due to decentralized aspect of crypto then it cant really be stopped no matter how government would tend to stop its citizens on involving with cryptocurrency market which is something to be norm.
Each country does have their own jurisdiction whether they do accept a particular thing or not but its not surprising that crypto would really be out of the list since it is totally decentralized.
It would really be that understandable that they would stand against decentralization for possible money laundering and other possible illegal transactions in correlated to it.
So laws and terms would really be created.

As I have read some of the posts here before from Bangladeshi people, they have hard time converting their crypto to their fiat, unless, they will use p2p trading platforms. Maybe, with the formulation of their laws towards digital, cryptocurrency, they may be open to the idea of having their own local crypto-exchange, under the jurisdiction of their Central Bank. Even if we say, they will require KYC, at least their customers will be protected from scammers and some of their crypto users will possibly use their services.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does whitelisting work for NFT projects? on: April 12, 2022, 11:51:02 PM
When it's related to the popular NFT, the hype will so big and the chance to make money from being whitelisting to minting NFT will be so high. The whitelisting participants will able to pay less money and they will get huge ROI even when NFT gets traded on opensea.
In my opinion this is the main thing motivate all of people are rushing to join in the whitelist. They wanna get a very big advantage to multiple their money instantly but remember if this is not a token which is liquid.
NFT was not liquid so this depends on their luck

This is only true for high potential projects, wherein, a lot of people are chasing to be included in the whitelist. Because the chance of earning good money is there once they launch the project in public. So some are really after to be included in the whitelist, even if we say, some are asking KYC. And most of the time, they need higher investments, where regular crypto users can't afford. So before you think of being included in the whitelist particularly in NFT projects, better do your own homework first. Don't just believe from fud.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you regret when you miss selling at ATH followed by a correction on: April 12, 2022, 10:55:33 PM
It often become a good opportunity when you sell at a peak and after that the correction come and you buy again with low price but many people miss that opportunity who then regret but I do not regret when I miss that opportunity because I do not do greed and remain satisfied with my current amount of coins and I know in the future the price will grow again to another ATH and my current coins are enough to give me enough profit. With this thought I keep myself tension free.

What is your views and conditions at that time?
You can't time the market. The best thing to do is to lock up your coins and stake something like ICP for a high apy (28.9% in this case). Then you are pretty much guaranteed to make it.

Don't get too confident, because you don't know the future for example of the ICP. How can you guarantee that their price will continuously go up as you are earning good interest? What I am trying to say here is that, we can never be sure of the future of the coin we have, but we can keep up with their updates and act when we need to sell before we incur huge losses.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest browser for Metamask ? on: April 12, 2022, 09:39:50 PM

To be honest, I would advise against using browser wallets at all. I'm not a security specialist, but even if the wallet is safe, every browser has vulnerabilities. If something happens, you'll never know what really caused your funds to disappear. I recommend Trust Wallet for mobile much more.

As I said I've looked into all major hardware wallets and they only have "some" of my coins. Same thing with Trust Wallet. Besides that, I would never trust a mobile device with my crypto. Too easy to have it stolen. And even if it's not stolen, easy for others to see you're doing something crypto related, and suddenly , you become a target.

Been using brave for my metamask but used chrome before brave and so far, I haven't encountered any problem at all. As long as you are securing your keys and you are not divulging any of your crypto activities online, you won't be a target. Always secure your keys and don't just enter your keys to any site, some of them are phishing sites. Also, when you connect your wallet to any online site, at least do a background check if the site is legit.
265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A month of WAR on: April 11, 2022, 11:38:09 PM
I would like to add a recent news, that the Council of the European Union decided to ban cryptoactive services in Russia, due to the possibility that they resort to this method, for which they took precautions and restrictions of certain cryptographic services, this was one of the three financial measures that the European Commission presented before the EU Council together with the prohibition of transactions and the freezing of assets related to four Russian banks as well as the option of instructing the citizens of that country on trust.

SOURCE: https://cointelegraph.com/news/eu-bans-providing-high-value-crypto-asset-services-to-russia

This I think, is about to happen as they are looking at crypto market to be one way for Russia to avail services bypassing some of their sanctions. Things will be more clear in the coming months as they implement those sanctions to Russia. But for now, we need to see the end of this war so people can rebuild their lives and move on from this terrible period.
Because as war continues, more innocent people will die and the harder to rebuild their nation again. I wonder what is Putin's state of mind right now, as their side is also losing heavily on this war.
266  Other / Archival / Re: 🌍 [ANN] The DecentraWorld Ecosystem | Restoring Privacy And Financial Freedom🚀 on: April 11, 2022, 10:27:34 PM
This is gonna be layer 2 right? When's the Beta Launch? I'm just asking 'cause there isn't a specific date or month on the roadmap, just a year.
Also, will there be any possibilities for these "freedom fighters" (project team) to be doxxed? Or do you guys prefer to be anonymous as well?

Hey @julerz12, these are great questions.
Our blockchain is in fact a layer-2 solution, and we also provide DApps for the EVM chains that we support.
As of now, our DApps support AVAX, CRO, BSC, ETH, MATIC, and FTM.

Since we are providing privacy solutions to everyone's finances and our core team is mostly from the U.S.,
we are being careful with our identities. We clearly don't trust our government and they are known to make people like us disappear.
We are in the process of a KYC & Audit with a credible security company, the reports will be released before our token sale (fair launch) on April 21st.

How about SOL or TRX network? They are pretty popular to crypto users. And SOL is getting interest from the community also. But as a start, your list is already great. You can add other networks later on once you are pretty established with those networks. The more options for the users, the better. One initial challenge I believe is how to have good liquidity for the trading pairs that you will deploy. Do you have financial backers that can fund your initial liquidity?
267  Economy / Economics / Re: Usdt is here for reason on: April 10, 2022, 11:59:24 PM
You're praising USDT a bit too much as if it doesn't have all the problems that it has. You do realize that USDT is just slightly better just because it's tokenized? Because the authorities can just order Tether(the company) to freeze USDT on your wallet if they wanted to, just as how your local bank can freeze your funds.
All existing USDT, USDC, ADA and other “Stablecoins”, which are allegedly provided by the “ghost of money” buried in unknown places, are no different from Fiat and whose action can be terminated at any time, since they are manually controlled and someone is personally responsible for their release.

The usual question for these stablecoins is how true is their USD backing for this stablecoin? For those who can remember, USDT team itself admitted way back in 2019 that they were not fully backed by USD assets. So now, do you think they are already saying the actual truth about their backing of assets. Based from their circulating supply,  they have about $82.5B coins, it means they have the same USD assets. That's a huge amount of money. Also, they can also freeze their assets if they need to. USDT is good maybe for short-term holding to avoid the volatility of the market. But for long-term, I believe it is not so secure.
268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc and reliogion on: April 10, 2022, 11:32:00 PM
AFAIK, crypto is forbidden by Muslims and in most Islamic countries, they did not accept this as a currency.
Imagine the Irony is Bitcoin was donated as financial aid to some of those Islamic institutions claiming it's forbidden  Grin

Bitcoin is basically money and store of value, if it's forbidden, then they should forbid fiat money too and all those other physical assets that store value such as gold.
Humans love to complicate things sometimes

Sometimes they have different approach or perspectives regarding this matter. But yes, it is ironic if they are accepting bitcoin or crypto donations but they are telling to its people that it is forbidden. They are just contradicting themselves.

But when it comes to bitcoin or crypto in general, we are not discriminating whatever your religion is. Now, it depends on your religion whatever their take is towards crypto. But crypto itself doesn't side any religion at all. Everyone is welcome to join this market and use it according to their needs.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Binance sponsorship on Lazio affect BNB price?? on: April 10, 2022, 10:57:51 PM
This is a good deal for Lazio than it is for binance, really Lazio maybe a solid Italian team, but they don't have the amount of audience binance needs, but for what Lazio would get from it is much first the $35 million for two years I good money and also this would help them with their fan token.
It's good to see crypto exchanges are going into sports, I think that with time bigger sport teams would start to fly the brand of crypto.

Exploring sports by crypto companies is also a good deal as sports industry has a wide-range of audience, from young to old folks. They have no age consideration. I agree, that the deal will do good more on Lazio rather on binance. But at the end of the day, it is still a win-win situation for both of them. Additional customers maybe for binance as well as more people believing on holding lazio fan token because it is listed in binance. They are both benefiting from this partnership so for me all good. The effect on BNB may not be seen but it will just add to more partnership of binance to sports industry.
270  Economy / Gambling / Re: RATING of TOP 20 CRYPTOCURRENCY SPORTSBOOKS on: April 10, 2022, 10:23:47 PM
Such review sites are not always reliable. And by that I mean the rating of the sportsbook. Advertising is often purchased or paid to be allowed to advertise. Who pays the most, is then the highest on a review site, that's how simple it works nowadays. That does not necessarily apply to every site, but the revenue model is used on many sites.
This is true but there's also some reviewers that are not bias and they're not doing it for the sake of payment. They're just doing their own content based on what the community really needs. I see some good bookies out there and I don't think that they'll pay just to be in someone's review for this article.
@OP are you going to do other reviews and include new sports books on that list if possible?

If the sportsbooks is already doing good on their own terms, I don't think they will pay these review sites to give them positive or high rating. Because even without these review sites, they can already get customers just by offering good services and competitive features. Now, if the bookie wants more positive reviews out there, they can really tap these review sites. But mostly, those top bookies won't as they already earned their players.
By the way, how often is the OP's team updating their list?
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sports betting sites that return your money when you lose. on: April 10, 2022, 09:39:40 PM
Reading the responses, I say it's fun and appealing because sports betting has been fun for me ever since. It's just that I have not tried taking this hobby of mine online. Besides, wouldn't it be appealing to have fun while raking in massive cash? And about trust, I cannot trust that friend I mentioned a 100% since he is just a friend of another friend of mine whom I barely even know. And yeah, just placed the link to the website above since I forgot to mention (thanks for reminding me)

i don't know if the site is legit but checking the site it says it has about 221k online. I have the impression that this is not authentic. I couldn't find any review from trustpilot also considering that they have tons of users. Be very cautious sending money to this site. Never heard this bookie in the forum. If they have that number of players, the name should have brought up in this forum.

You can also check the rating here - https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/lmb.cc . It is very low, so maybe, see for yourself if you do really want to try this site.
272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to leave btc on: April 10, 2022, 09:15:21 PM
Less volatility is a good thing. One of the reasons some big investors don't like Bitcoin and crypto is exactly those price swings you seem to be addicted to. It's better to take a 5% profit after X number of days/weeks/months with less risk than trading an extremely volatile asset that can make you 50% higher gains, but you can also lose all your money due to its unpredictable nature.

Mature assets usually look like this. Volatility is a weakness. The higher the total market cap is the lower the volatility.
I don't get how OP can see the total value, number of users, wallets, exchanges, difficulty grow, and expect volatility to stay at the same level. Growth brings stability and those who don't like it can always put some money in altcoins. Monero is pretty volatile with +35% in the last 30 days.

Well, I think it really depends on how the user is looking at bitcoin. And also, why he is saying that he will go back if they fixed the btc. First, there's no one who can fix btc because it is the general market sentiment why we are getting this price. Second, no one is stopping him from leaving this market. So it is his prerogative to leave from this market. If he is long enough in this market, he will take this seemingly stable market as a good opportunity and not on the negative note. But we have different take on this. And for him, he will leave the market. But he should not expect that someone is fixing the market, because no one can.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Desktop wallet vs Mobile wallet on: April 10, 2022, 05:08:32 PM
Again I think desktop wallets have more open source wallets than mobile, which desktop wallet is the best open-source wallet that you know of?
It actually depends on usage and scenario. Even if you are choosing mobile wallets, you shouldn't be storing a large number of funds over there, especially if the phone is your main phone and you are using it for daily usage.

Since you are trying to seek out only based on open sourceness, choosing a wallet that is inherently developed by the altcoin developers itself should be better compared to another multi-currency wallet. But if you are trying to use it for tokens, then I don't think Metamask is a bad option, despite their many issues.

This is indeed true, there are pros and cons of having desktop and mobile wallet. But if I may suggest, if you are using mobile wallet, for convenience purposes mostly, better store only small funds or just right for your on-the-go thing as it is prone to loss. You can never be sure that it will not be misplaced or lost at some point. And when it comes to desktop wallet, it depends on what coins or tokens are you going to store, metamask for me is indeed not bad to store your tokens. Whereas, you can use electrum for your bitcoin holdings.
274  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Financial crimes against traders on: April 09, 2022, 11:59:18 PM
Pump and dump is detrimental to the cryptocurrency world. I first knew about pump and dump scheme from Pmalek thread where newbies and Jr members answers questions to earn merits. Thanks to him.
Then Op, crypto is not regulated and it has many loopholes through which it can be manipulated. Calling out a few out of thousands for a law suit does not make sense to me and I doubt if you will have a tangible case again them.
The market is all about smartness, the more smart you are the more money you make and the more others lose.

I first understood the concept of pump and dump I believe from most of these masternode coins. The dev team will sell their coins within their discord channel, before listing to the exchange. Once listed, couple of weeks or so, they will start this pump and dump method up until the value of their coin goes down to nothing. And so, they will repeat the cycle again, create, sell, list, and pnd. If you are not a quick thinker, you will end up holding those worthless coins for nothing.
275  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Understanding "When" to trade. on: April 09, 2022, 11:34:58 PM
Some other times not to trade as well are;
- On holidays.
- During Major news events.
- When you are emotional unstable.
What do you mean by 'not to trade' here? Not sell your coins?
Honestly, I don't care whether holidays or weekdays, minor events or major events, emotional or not. As long as I see the price meets my target, then I will sell my coins. The decision to sell or buy is never based on those things, I prefer to sell or buy because of the current trend or the current price of the coins. Our goal is only 1, it is about the profits, not anything else.

Trading doesnt automatically mean that you would sell out your coins or assets because talking about on when to trade would be basically finding for the right time to get yourself in
or able to accumulate which is most likely be preferring on cheap or red times or bearish where chances on making profits with volatility is likely. The main question is on how
to identify the bottom because this is something that we do really always question or asked about. We could see it on technical aspects but we know that market
could easily fucked up these analysis but its not bad to have some basis rather than have nothing at all.

And at the end of the day, it depends on your financial needs. Holidays or other major events won't matter in your trading activity if you do need your funds. But if you can wait and want to take advantage of what is happening in the market, you will closely follow the updates and news surrounding the crypto market. Because that will give you insights on when to move your funds or if you need to exchange it to other alts.
276  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitAddax - **New Crypto Prediction Gaming Launch** on: April 09, 2022, 10:50:10 PM
First of all I want to ask you, how do you guarantee the safety of investors fund from hackers, Privacy and Data?,as you've said that people can deposit through btc ,eth etc . What criterias will make people believe in this platform?, because there a lot of fake sites out there and it's very easy for someone to create Bitcointalk account and ask people to come do business with them. I suggest you tell us a little more about what makes your platform so unique from others and why we should do business with you and your team.

This is the hump that they need to overcome because as a new casino, people won't trust them easily with their funds. They may try it with small amount but for now, only small players may possibly check their site. It is hard to earn trust especially if you are new and no gambling license. Maybe acquire gambling license if they can afford already.
277  Economy / Gambling / Re: Another New Rule On Gambling Adverts Ban Celebrities and Sports Stars on: April 09, 2022, 09:33:15 PM
For ads purposes, yes, that's a helpful update. If casinos prohibits the registration of users age of 18 and  below then casino ads should follow the same pattern too. Coz ads plays a role to encourage someone to do this and that as shown on an ad, people's ages in ads plays a role too, as it targets its type of users' ages etc.

But some casinos don't have KYC or they are just asking if you are 18 years and above, that anyone can falsely bypass the requirement because they can use the ID of his siblings or parents. But in any case, it is true, there are some sports athletes who have huge following from the younger generation like Christiano Ronaldo. And that means, if he will promote gambling site, it means some of his young followers may really try it out. But I believe, this will be in the UK only, because let's give a popular example, Drake, who is endorser of stake. But he is under the US jurisdiction so I don't think he's part of the ban.
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are getting stronger, how are you contributing? on: April 08, 2022, 11:54:42 PM
It's nice and overwhelming to see those people that have come to you and ask for that logo, it's benefiting both of you.

I was just thinking yesterday what if I'll go out and wear a t-shirt having a little logo of bitcoin at the back bottom side of my t-shirt. But I've also remembered that it's not just the enthusiasts that we're going to deal with personally.

But there could also be those bad people that have ill intentions to us if they've known that we're into bitcoin and could do an attack through their wrenches.

And even if they are not forum users, if they are interested to wear those items, it means, they have the curiosity about bitcoin or crypto market. So I believe, they will also do their search on their own. And if the OP mentioned about this forum to them, then, maybe some of them will take a look at this forum and who knows, they will create their account and learn more about crypto. We don't know who will influence our crypto knowledge, but if anyone wants to know, just allot a lil bit of your time to enlighten them about this market.
279  Economy / Gambling / Re: RATING of TOP 20 CRYPTOCURRENCY SPORTSBOOKS on: April 08, 2022, 11:04:43 PM
There could be several indicators as to why he ended up on these sites in particular. On other review sites maybe 10 others and the other 10 in the last 10 for example. I also always wonder what the criteria are based on, since every site has its good and bad points. After all, it's the player experiences that should be the most reliable.
^ That is why sometimes I did not rely on the rating of the review site because it is a personal opinion by the author, they had different criteria for judging the casino. Sometimes they will cover those negative reviews if the casino gives a higher amount of affiliates, just wanting to earn more money through affiliation. Not the same on the review of users who truly experience the casino and it should be a review that comes from the community because it has an individual opinion not just made by one author.

Much better if you will check the current reputation of the sites mentioned. Because somehow, it has personal bias. Just like the current ratings on the site. We don't know also if it is updated or not. I believe, with the ratings on this review site, a lot will not agree but at the end of the day, it is you who will experience the site. Review sites are just a guide but you still need to do the work of reading the terms of each site you want to play with.
280  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet, Stake or Sportsbet - Which is best? on: April 08, 2022, 09:49:49 PM
I prefer Stake among three options, the higher bonuses and customer support is good, from my experience. Rarely used cloudbet, so I will pass on this bookie. Sportsbet also considered average crypto bookie, between both I still place my bet slips on Stake.com. Having a higher VIP level let you earn through weekly reloads and wager counts 3x for account progression.

I will go for Sportsbet because of the main attraction which is they have a free withdrawal fee and the transaction are processed instantly. My 2nd choice would be Stake.com, Cloudbet would be the last. This is only my personal preference, I'm not saying that stake and cloudbet are bad sports betting sites.

With the replies above, you can see the difference of their priorities here, Maslate highlights the free withdrawal fee of sportsbet, whereas, seleme pointed out the VIP level rewards of stake. So if you are a sportsbettor, which one do you think will favor your games? If you are a regular bettor, you may find the VIP level of stake attractive. Whereas, if you are a small bettor, the free withdrawal of sportsbet will be your choice. So yes, it depends on the features that you are looking for. Just check the ToS of the site first before making any deposit.
