It is up to you. I personally don't want to take responsibility for your decisions because it is your money and you need to figure out what to do with it.

You need to join a signature campaign. For example, see my signature below my post? I get paid a small amount for each post to advertise for a company.

As I am sure everyone else has already clarified by now, if you want your transaction to go through quickly then you need to pay a high fee. It sucks, but until further developments are made it is how it has to be.

This question is all relative. Technically anyone who owns even 1/10th of a Bitcoin now will be rich in the future. It will be worth thousands and thousands of dollars.

November is indeed a major test for Bitcoin. Probably comparable to the fiasco in early August, but likely not as bad. There was Bitcoin Cash at that time as well which threw a wrench into everything.

The best Bitcoin wallet WAS MultiBT, but unfortunately the company that bought them out just closed it down... so now I would recommend using paper wallets exclusively, or if you absolutely need an online wallet use Blockchain.info.

You would need a decent quality smartphone for starters, and a solid data plan. With that you could post on this forum and participate in a signature campaign to make income. Otherwise to start a project you would need a laptop/PC of some sort and a team of developers to help you.

No. Definitely not. Thousands of people buy Bitcoin every day, and it is projected to go another 100x in value within 15 years.

what would be the worst case scenario in case bitcoin got split like other stocks?
Bitcoin inherently is split. It can be divided into 100,000,000 units called Satoshis, and each one currently is worth a fraction of a cent.

What if you had, let's say....5000 Bitcoins in your custody and suddenly someone demanded it as a ransom in exchange for someone very important to you, would you make the exchange?
This is messed up... I don't even want to think about it. I mean, Bitcoin is a good way to ask for ransom but realistically it is not anonymous anyways.

1. Nothing.
2. Teach them about it.
3. Wait.
I think #3 is best. Simply wait, and eventually they will start using it after everyone else does.

This dude (whoever is selling, who is NOT Satoshi by the way) is smart, nonetheless. He sees we are in a bubble and cashing out before it bursts. And also if you had that much money it really doesn't make much a difference to make more.

Bitcoin is the most popular investment for now, everyone hunt and buy bitcoin, marketcap cryptocurrency has raised more than $150 M and I think the governments must accept bitcoin as legal second payment.
Is the market cap really $150,000,000,000?! I remember when we were waiting for it to be just $1,000,000,000 years ago. Oh, how things have changed. hahaha

I would like to see "tap" services. You know, like when you tap your debit card to pay? Like that, only instead you pay with Bitcoin.
|
|
|
It is all based on the market cap. Right now the market cap of Bitcoin is close to $100,000,000,000 and gold is $8,500,000,000,000,000... it is safe to say gold alone is far more powerful.

I called around some stores to see if they accept BTC, no one has even heard of it except like 0.1% of people. Wait till people actually find out this exists...
Same here in our country in our company infact we are just 2% alone of 3,000 employees knows how bitcoin works. We try to share them about bitcoin so that like us they will earn too but they ignored because sounds wierd for them. May be 2 to 3 years bitcoin will be a popular here. You know what would be funny? Walk up to people and ask them if they will trade 1 Bitcoin for $5. Say you are really hungry and need something to eat and Walmart doesn't accept Bitcoin... they will probably say no.
|
|
|
You can't. It is actually impossible. Eventually the market cap will be too large for any individual person or even corporation for that matter to affect the price that much. What goes up, must come down.
|
|
|
Well, many are saying it will be worth $500,000 before or at least by 2030. Is it true? I think it's a very bold estimate, but certainly possible at this rapid rate of growth.

hello, i am from India and I am 18. I do not have a bank account so I am also kind of the same situation like you but I am using a local trader which I got from the localbitcoin site. I will suggest trying finding a local trader there and if you do not find any then be the first and start buying btc. and if you do find anyone who can exchange your money with Bitcoin then always is secure and alert if he completes a deal with you successfully then you can deal with him again and again.
Yes!!! You picked the right site, LocalBitcoins it is the best one to buy Bitcoins because you can trade with people in your area in many different ways and it is also anonymous because you do not need ID or SMS verification. Good job, bro!

I think this thread is going to become very, very big because SegWit is a huge milestone in the history of Bitcoin, really, this month is a big leap forward for crypto in general and we should all be proud.
