261  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Updated 07/nov/2015] Faucet Owners Against Scammers and Bots on: December 04, 2015, 05:31:20 PM
Can someone explain this:

Jokertimes faucet prizes are:
2500 satoshi (0.11%)
1000 satoshi (1.07%)
750 satoshi (2.15%)
500 satoshi (96.67%)

And Ref % is 40%

How come this address can get 1000 sats as referral every time?!
262  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: November 10, 2015, 09:17:47 PM
Guys, please check your faucets and make sure you keep your passwords safe and you have MFA, ACL and Login notifications enabled. Also check your antibot measures.

Many people reported being hacked recently Sad

EDIT: We're working on some basic anti-fraud measures that should prevent at least most obvious hacks, like withdrawing all balance in one send. I hope we'll be able to deliver them soon.

I dunno exactly what hapened but our faucet got emptied quite fast yesterday.

P.S would be REALLY helpful if you could add an export function to the payouts page..:  easier to scan for suspicious activity in a xls file

A new suspicious ip appeared in my logs since november:

77.222.106.36 9000 hits in 4 days only..

And the faucet got milked.. i'm not sure yet but this ip looks really suspicious
~

Hi, friend.

I checked this IP for suspicious activities in the internet (SPAM, BOTs and Malicious attacks) and then I did some tests to check if it is a proxy IP.

I didn't found anything about this IP. It seems to be a normal IP.

However, it is a Russian IP.

If I was you I would keep on open eye on my logs to monitor this IP actions...
Hi , thanks for the checkup.
I'll keep checking

hello, this is the second of november already.. I thought you said you will pay on first of nov?
Suuuuuure ahahaahahaha

Crap, so this is another scam?
Hahahaha... glad that i'm not too absorbed into this faucet
Hopefully none was still claiming just because, after no payments for 2 weeks, they said "don't worry guys, we will pay all after 2 more weeks because we need the money from ads that we just added".
Time to open scam accusation for op Cheesy and leave some good negative remarks on his trust link.I know its not going to make much difference to him for he will most probably abandon this account but let not get him away empty handed Cheesy

Lookis like he already opened another account and website and try to scam even more:

268  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: It's a good time to be a 'micro-earner', IMO! on: November 01, 2015, 03:17:43 AM
I think the past few months with the rise of the 1000+ satoshi faucets - all started perhaps by MotherFaucet - I personally think that it's a great time to use faucets. Bitcoin is still in the early stages, despite what the media or pessimistic miners think. To me, the miners are in Bitcoin for the short term return on their investment in mining equipment. Faucet users, on the other hand, have benefited from a huge increase in the number of faucets paying instantly to microcaches, as well as faucets offering direct payments.

We've seen the price of BTC hit $200 twice in the last year and it's hit $300 for the second time IIRC. $400 again?

If anything, I think faucet admins have helped to stablize Bitcoin. If you look at the traffic that faucet users receive, the vast majority is from Russia, Ukraine and countries from the 'Global South'. People who want to get into Bitcoin who can't afford arrays of miners, or even expensive GPUs (and GPU mining is pretty much obsolete anyway) and don't want to take up mining as a hobby have a pretty fair chance of getting a little bit of Bitcoin, as well as learning about Blockchain transactions.

Tips from The Faucet Runner:

1. Don't gamble all your satoshis. Or if you do gamble, only gamble what you can afford to lose. House always wins.
2. Don't be picky - support the little guys. Satoshi is free and nobody knows how much it's worth in the long run, so stick with it.
3. Support Bitcoin ads and faucets. Advertise your referral link and promote other faucets! Since starting out in Bitcoin I've earned around 3BTC in referral earnings purely from faucets.
4. Don't invest in cloud mining operations. If it sounds too good to be true, steer clear.

 Grin

Amen!!

I guess that you could block the categories that have the lowest  Impressions/earnings ratio?

271  Local / Vos sites et projets / Bitcoin faucet : Vous en pensez quoi? on: October 19, 2015, 04:47:12 PM
Bonjour,

Please could you explain why you don't like my address 1Po9cWPPqfykFG1Zdrba7bkEcnkbq98BVD 89.106.108.217

Just yesterday you wanted me to include your faucet in our list?

I'm definitely not a bot, nor a scammer. http://bit.makejar.com/ has just turned 1 year, the addresses we use for ref are at the bottom of the page. We try to stay open and clear with both faucet users and faucet owners. If you don't like being on our website just send us a message and we will remove you from our list but please don't report us as scammers because WE ARE NOT!

Actually I'm currently working on a new anti-bot add-on. If someone want to try it shoot me a message. Demo: http://bit.makejar.com/labs/fbab/ I'm not going to share it in public because I don't want bot users to get the source but I would be happy to share for free with any faucet owner that is fine to be on our list.

Hi!

I got the wallet addresses from the list on the 1st page. So i never said i don't like em Wink
Before banning addresses or ip's i do my own research.. i didn't ban your address because i coulnd't find anything wrong with it.

I just wanted to share ip info for the people investigating suspicious addresses.

That's the problem with big site like your, people think you cheat because you send a lots of hit but you don't cheat. So that's why i'm asking all people here to add more information when you add "suspicious" addresses to the list..

279  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Do you clicking ads on faucets with waiting timer? on: September 21, 2015, 07:02:26 PM
No, they earn a lot from clicks on ads and they still pay the same dust... what they earn from ad views is enough for what they pay to us (to be honest, as of now I only use freebitco, but I was a faucet user a few months ago).

They earn a lot from clicks??
Here's some stats from a friend of mine who own a small faucet:

Page views: 3016, impressions: 10474, clicks 9, Earnings: 1.72$ ..
Who much satoshis she give on that day? 0.0085 (worth 1.96$ right now)  for a nice profit of...: -0.24$
Oh.. i forgot something:  she's gotta pays for :
Domain name, hosting and design

She told me she's gonna have to change something to be able to earn a little more.. A timer?, or some annoying popups? or maybe just shut down that faucet..
280  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Do you clicking ads on faucets with waiting timer? on: September 19, 2015, 01:47:10 PM
I definitely click on those faucet who do not have complicated way to claim, and have only one or two ads.
