261  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Scams are a global issue on: December 08, 2019, 05:23:03 PM
Until now, problems related to scams became a global issue, because scammers are everywhere. Not only in the crypto world.
But strangely, the deception that occurred in the crypto world was more in the spotlight in the eyes of the world, therefore ICO
projects were a scam, become negative effect on the crypto world. We as crypto supporters must try to educate newbies so we
can avoid scam, because there are many newbie victims of fraud. I hope next year the number of victims of fraud can be reduced
drastic, because I'm starting to see now that people are good at distinguishing between real and fake projects.
Even though there are a lot of scammers in the internet, you can still protect your capital if you have knowledge to the investment that you will take. There are investors who easily believe to the attractive words of scammers. You can easily find out if the project is something fishy or not if you will research it background well. There are techniques that you can use like reading the reviews of the other investors participants. In their reviews you can see if the project is legit or not.
Everyone is different but I am why past the point in which I try to figure out if a project is a scam or not, the most effective way to protect yourself from scammers and their lies is to never send them even a single satoshi, if that means that I'm going to miss investing in some of the best projects in the market so be it I do not really care anymore.

I am not going to enter the game of the scammers, I'm not going to try to figure out if a project is good or not, and in my opinion this is the only way to protect yourself completely from scammers.
Well yes that you will be secured from scammers and hackers but you'll miss lots of opportunities and i think it is part of the risk that we're taking when we enter the crypto world, it is our job to research about the project  that we're investing with because once we found out that its a scam, we can warn others specially newbies about that specific project that only scams people and you could save other's money by your research.
262  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat Vs Cryptocurrency, which would you choose? on: December 08, 2019, 04:34:27 PM
Well as of now i will be needing both cryptocurrency and fiat, why? Because the crypto that i get from working online cannot be spent on a lot of establishments in my country so i will convert it to fiat then spent it to buy some stuff but i think we will all be needing both crypto and fiat currencies because it'll be hard to get rid one of those two things specially fiat because it's been here for a very long time.
263  Economy / Economics / Re: Big risk ,big results. on: December 08, 2019, 03:35:28 PM
Spending large capital in trading, of course, will provide a large percentage of profits as well, and vice versa if we trade with small capital, the profits obtained are also small. but even if we are able to spend big or small capital of course both have the same risk that will be faced, therefore we must be prepared to bear all the risks that will occur
Even though trading with only a small capital will only give you a small profit it doesn't mean that we can't get good amount of money, if we exert patience, hardwork and dedication to our trading that small profit can get bigger, just always have these three things: patience, hardwork and dedication because you'll be needing it specially when you see the risk of investing, that's when you'll be tested.
264  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: BCH muna tayo! on: December 08, 2019, 02:36:31 PM

265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the best coin to buy apart from bitcoin on: December 08, 2019, 12:43:32 PM
Don't be so dependent with "I've heard" statements for the existing coins in the crypto world.

Just check CMC top. Almost every project from top 15 looks intresting
Not everything you see on the top 15 are good coins to start with. What I'm saying is to learn more about those coins and don't generalize them as interesting coins. They look interesting because they are on the top but if you will analyze, few of them are not really interesting.
Well i also do check CMC on what coins can be good as of the moment but i did not depend 100% on CMC, i also do my own research about the coins and yes not all coins that you can see in the top 15 are good coins to start with because as you have said not all of it are interesting, but some are really good coins like ethereum and i have gain good amount of profit from investing in eth.
266  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I Buy Bitcoin Now? on: December 08, 2019, 10:26:26 AM
As far as I know right now bitcoin price is little bit low and in near future price will rise again. So I think it is best time to buy Bitcoin.
Great question and a great answer, buy low always and wait for a little pump before taking profit. I’m buying right now since I do have extra money and if you receive some incentives, gift cash or any extra money from your work or from anyone, you should consider to buy bitcoin and other coins it will pump again.
Yes investing right now will be a good move for everyone of us because of the effect of the halving that will happen next year, but some people lose the chance because some hopes that bitcoin's price will go down even more and then when they wake up they will see that bitcoin have a price pump, we should always take every opportunity to invest money in bitcoin because it will surely increase in the future. Set some point in the price where you will buy and where you will sell.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to alts if Bitcoin crashes back to $5000? on: December 08, 2019, 08:59:44 AM
I actually do not want if a disaster occurs on Bitcoin to touch the price of $ 5,000, because if this happens altcoin will crash more and possibly weaken the price. So I can't imagine the altcoin market will bleed, but if this happens I'm still sure bitcoin will rise again and altcoin will follow,  bitcoin only shows that it is very volatile.
Well our initial thinking was altcoins price will also crash if bitcoin's price will crash and yes it is true and we've already seen it, bitcoin's price goes up and then altcoins will follow and the same thing when bitcoin crashes but let us not generalize the altcoins, yes some will follow bitcoin's trend but a few will not. But let us hope bitcoin will not crash into $5000 because that'll be a hard situation.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are airdrops safe? on: December 08, 2019, 07:25:35 AM
No, there are so many fake and shady airdrops, so you have to be very careful before participating in any airdrop nowadays. There are many hackers and stealers trying to steal cryptocurrencies by spreading the word about their scammy airdrops. Especially don't make any KYC or give your private keys to any airdrop.
mostly yes, many airdrop program could not continue their project and finally dying. If they required some eth or private we have to avoid it. Hackers behind on this program. Many saya that used to lie us in airdrop. But by this case we should not generalize airdrop. But some pay us too in huge amount.
Well it is an airdrop which means free coins and when they ask even a little amount of money or ask too much information then it is safe to say that it is only a scam and they will use the information you have entered there in some illegal things. Analyze the airdrop first if it is a legitimate one then join but if you cannot see if a airdrop is a scam or not better for you to stay away from it, the money you thought you'll get will not be worth it once a hacker gets your information.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: hold or sell? help me on: December 08, 2019, 06:42:16 AM
Currently I own a lot of altcoin, I bought them at ico. My account is being downgraded several times. There are many people who say bitcoin will continue to decrease, so altcoin prices also decreased compared to USDT. So now, should I sell them and wait for the price to buy back? Give me advice  Sad Sad
if you already make a profit on the altcoin you bought better to sell it dont wait for much bigger profit like what happened.to me i waited for much bigger profit and in the end i lost.
i agree with you, while you have been get profit better to sell it because if you wait for more, it just bring you in lose your fund...... feeling greedy of everyone make they lose bigger profit and throw to have the profit
just to be gratefull and keep your profit while you have been get it, not want to more.
The sentences are a bit off but i still do get the point and i think we should always have a certain point or price in the market where we will get our profits and exit because by this we can lessen our loss but still greediness can be an issue but if we will stick to that we can control it. But if you are doubting bitcoin's price then i suggest do not because it is surely gonna have a good future along with the strong altcoins like eth, xrp, litecoin etc.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT HAPPENS IF BTC TOUCHES 100K ? on: December 08, 2019, 12:03:26 AM
if Bitcoin touches 100k it will make ALTS go up too
then it will dump and alts will dump too
something similar to 2017 for sure. there is no way that BTC goes to 100k without making crazy volatility in alt coins

I don't think it will be during this next bull run. More than likely sometime in the mid 2020's if I had to guess. However, you're probably right about there being a huge correction. That's just a part of it. If it ever hits $100k, I'd sell at that price and buy back in at a lower price to increase my position for free. We're still several years from that happening though.

I think we'll be able to see that also in the mid year of the 2020, because of halving. And yes there is no doubt that if btc hits a $100k it will have big effect on some altcoins and everyone will surely sell there btc to get some of their long awaited profit. We may see something much more better than what happened to 2017.
271  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Savings Vs Investment? on: December 07, 2019, 03:27:14 PM
It's better to put your money in savings to save your money from risky investment here in crypto. Huge dump will be happened once you invest a coin with no potential to increase.
Well of course if you are only planning it to save and staying away from riský investments then go save and lose the opportunity of growing your money but of course when you do invest here in crypto make sure that your coin has some good future like of course bitcoin and some more. But of course combining both will be even more better, invest your money now in cryptocurrency and then after you gain some profit go and save a portion of it for future use and then continue investing in crypto.
272  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading. on: December 07, 2019, 02:10:39 PM
Some traders and investors think that when trading with crypto currency, one must be bold and confident and make quick decisions. Is excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading better than doubt and fear, or is it a big drawback?
To be honest, I don't understand what kind of confidence we're talking about. If these traders mean to buy cryptocurrency confidently, without analyzing the market at all, then I do not agree with their point of view. I believe that cryptocurrency trading should be conducted as carefully as mine clearance in a minefield.
In my opinion i think it's not "without analyzing the market" it is about being over confident with your analysis that you don't think losing at all and you always expect to see what you predicted which is a bad thing have because yes we should be confident with our strategy or analysis but we also need to be ready about the bad things, we should have a plan b or something.
273  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [DISCUSSION] What have you learned on BITCOINTALK FORUM? Share Your Experiences. on: December 01, 2019, 05:30:57 PM

274  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Altcoins movement?! on: December 01, 2019, 04:39:08 PM
275  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Is this the RIGHT TIME on: December 01, 2019, 02:28:02 PM
276  Economy / Speculation / Re: No need to PANIC! on: December 01, 2019, 01:20:32 PM
That's the attitude right there. People are by default anxious when the market starts to change abnormally. It is the experience who particularly aid such attitude. I am pretty confident that sooner they will realize that what they are currently doing isn't a bit of a thing for them to be worried about. Well, sometimes they aren't to be blame because sometimes people are bit exaggerated about such changes that sometimes they been carried away by such anxiety.
I understand when the Investor feels uneasy. Basically, most bitcoin users today are investors who invest their money into bitcoin, so they panic when prices suddenly go down.
in general, I'm also very confident that the price of bitcoin will really reach $ 20k in the future. until now I even keep trying to collect assets. I just want to say for those who panic, believe in the potential of bitcoin. bitcoin first appeared to have no price, and currently has a high price due to technological developments. as long as the technology is still being developed, there is a high possibility that the price of bitcoin will continue to grow.
It is normal to panic when you invest in bitcoin and suddenly its price goes down because even though we are seeing this for a long time we can't take the fact that it is our money that will fade once things doesn't go in the way we wanted, it is about the way we think, the way we handle and see things.
Not only by the development of our technology bitcoin will continue going stronger in the market but also when people starts to know about it, when non crypto enthusiast found out about bitcoin and knew about the good things bitcoin can offer to us and they will eventually invest.
277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you holding Bitcoin? on: December 01, 2019, 11:20:39 AM
Before, I hold many bitcoins but now I do not have bitcoins. I do not hold bitcoins because the market is red where it consists of lower highs and lower high. I'm a momentum trader and a trend follower where I will only hold a coin or a stock if the market is bullish where it consists of higher lows and higher highs.
Even if the market was in red situation they did not say we cannot hold or buy some bitcoin for now and it depends on us if we want to hold bitcoin. Im holding some bitcoin right now even do the price of bitcoin are to low and Ill think this will a time to buy bitcoin. And I believe bitcoins it can be a comeback to take a price of $10,000 in next month.
Honestly i think we should also be excited about bitcoin having a low price value in the market because like what you've said this is indeed a good time to invest in bitcoin. Bitcoin halving next year can rocket bitcoin's price so i am taking this opportunity to invest in bitcoin  and hold it and i really didn't think about if i want to invest in bitcoin or not because i always do.
278  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long do you hold on a trade. on: December 01, 2019, 10:17:38 AM
trading has been a difficult process for novices and minor traders. it could be tempting most times if you dont understand the market movement and TA. you might loose patience and cancel out a trade you might regret later. i have cancel out many trades that later ended up in huge profits. i have also cancel some successfully. i just curious to know if there is any sure way to this trading were by you hold on a trade.
FUD? avoid it, when you know what you are doing. Just do it confidently and smoothly, and always apply discipline and you'll be good. Too bad you felt discourage and avoid pursuing on what you are currently trying to trade.

Anyway here are the things I know that will help you:

  • Have a plan
  • Stick with your plan always
  • Don't invest blindly
  • Invest what you can afford to lose
  • Pay attention closely to chart

Those are just few, and self-explanatory categories. Just avoid unnecessary stuff such as self-doubt because remember everything is fine when you knew what you are doing with discipline.

The things you've said are really gonna help traders specially newbies but i think even just sticking with your plan at all times can really help us, the main reason why we lose money in trading is because of lack of patience but if we have a plan and then we're sticking with it at all times then we can always have profit and lessen losses because of greediness or lack of patience.
279  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I covert BTC to another to get lower withdrawal fees? on: December 01, 2019, 04:21:47 AM
I will never recommend to convert your BTC with any of Alt coin. There is no alt coin that can compete with BTC in near future. If you have extra cash buy some Alt coin to built a portfolio but dont interchange ur BTC with Alt coin.
Well it will really depends on what's his purpose on converting his bitcoins to altcoins, if the owner's purpose is to convert it in to fiat currency then having it converted to altcoins that have small transaction fee will be a good move but if you don't plan to turn it into fiat then do not convert it. For me when i want to withdraw my btc i will definitely turn it to altcoins like xrp which has a lower transaction price fee.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which coins should i buy? on: November 30, 2019, 07:15:10 PM
If indeed you have  more funds, you should buy some altcoin that does have a lot of large exchanges such as eth, ltc, bch and also bnb, but my advice is to use your half money to invest in bitcoin, Because, in my opinion bitcoin has the prospect of price increases in the future front.
Bitcoin is a very promising investment to date so it is inevitable that this is the case. I also agree with what the colleague said above, if indeed the capital can be divided in half, some remain in bitcoin and some in altcoin already on the market exchange. and there is no need to speculate on the new altcoin, because clearly until now it has not been reliable. waiting for the start of a new passion again
Well yes bitcoin is a really good coins to invest with so a lot of us really put a big percent of our money in it and the remains will be in good altcoins such as eth, xrp etc but not all newly released cryptocurrency is a waste of time, there are some good new coins out there that you can use for trading just be sure to put a little amount of money in it so that you can try it in trading without the fear of losing good amount of money.
