261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The End of Bear Market, Confirmed!! on: April 21, 2019, 07:02:17 AM
I still see a lot of experts saying that bitcoin may actually touch a new bottom sometime within the next few months.
Experts say it will drop, experts say it will skyrocket blah blah blah. Dude don't easily believe from those sweet promises, it may lead you into trouble. Act and decide based on what you think, just let the testaments of those so called "experts" serve as a guide or a friendly tip.

$5k+ into $3k in just several months, that's a little bit impossible (unless big FUD is on the way) so if I were you I'll stop waiting any longer. I will invest now and wait for btc to rise once again. Anyway, that's only my opinion. The choice is still yours, good luck.
262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Deep Dive Into Bitcoin's Scarcity on: April 21, 2019, 05:22:19 AM
I don't think bitcoin will suffer in a scarcity.
No dude, there are only 21 million btc that can be mined, if we asumed that they are all mined then no more new coins will add in the circulation. What happens? Yes you are right, it will greatly affect its price. It could skyrocket because of the high demand or it may fall down very hard but actually it is way more than that. The worst case scenario that might happen is btc will become valueless if the world finally lose interest to it.

Anyway, don't worry too much about its scarcity (IMO). I'm pretty sure that we will not experience the struggle since the estimated time it will be all mined is in the next century.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Came Back After a Year on: April 21, 2019, 03:19:10 AM
Hey, Guys, I am jak3, I came back after 1year. (i barely visited this forum in this 1year) but I remember when I left this forum there was a lot of bitcoin campaigns and a lot of discussion topics.
Well, i guess you've got the right timing that time. To be honest, today's signature campaigns are less compared in 2017 where btc is in its prime. Another, Merit system was implemented which help our forum to get rid of the bad entities entering here (like scammers and shitposters). I also noticed that few ranked up (due to the merit system of course) but at least the members are now well filtered.
But nowadays people are only talking about altcoins.
Well, you're right but in a bad way (IMO). They talk about altcoins because most of the bounties nowadays end up as scam or the ICO find a hard time to reach at least their soft cap.

Oh! I almost forgot. Im sure that you are already aware of the latest news — that we might receive red tags if we spam and Yobit proved to be a scam as well.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sweden on track to stop using cash by 2023 on: April 20, 2019, 04:54:46 PM
This topic is interesting so I decided to open the link for further details but I couldn't, why is that? Seems there's an error. Because of that I'm force to browse Google and search for related articles. Anyway, it's fine.

According to what I've read, Sweden is the first countey in Europe who used banknotes (1661) and also will be the first one who will be an official cashless society by March 2023. Just wow! It seems that Sweden are more advance to the world, I guess as advance as the aliens. Just kidding Lol.

Furthermore, a certain part of the article made my jaw drop. Here it is,
Quote
Both banks and government encourage citizens to adopt the cashless economy.
Am I dreaming? Please wake me up. I can't believe it, their banks and government (which are pro centralization) are the ones who encourage their countrymen to embrace digital payments. That was so amazing.

I thought pursuing mass crypto adoption or let's say cashless society would become a bloody battle, many will contradict which soon lead to destroyed unity but I was wrong. Sweden is the proof that you can attain such thing without getting any forms of chaos. I hope the rest of the countries will become open minded like them.

Source

I think we are still far from the cashless society because there are still many peoples using cash money.
Even there are peoples who doesn't have any bank accounts nowadays.
At least they must know how bank accounts and virtual money works, so they can transact each others cashless.
It doesn't really matter now. If Sweden did it, of course we can as well. The bottomline, cashless society is feasible.
265  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbies that has interest in trading! on: April 20, 2019, 03:12:30 PM
Remember to demo trade first before putting really money.
Wait, so are you saying that you can have a trial on such sites to practice trading? That's cool! I will definitely screenshot your thread for reference. And I hope it wasn't difficult as rocket physics Lol. I guess better for me if I start studying now so that I can invest already after saving some money.
266  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Win in gambling, lose on investing on: April 20, 2019, 02:06:09 PM
Both online gambling and investing have a coomon similarity which is being risky in any ways. Yeah I know na mas safer sa investing but since it doesn't suit to you then why not push your gambling journey. Malay mo dun ka talaga magaling which lead you to success. Lahat naman tayo may kanya-kanyang forte and we should learn to enrich it. But just a friendly reminder, ingat lang ah kasi may chance na ms marami pa ang makuha mong losses kaysa profits sa pagsusugal.

By the way, saang website ka pala naglalaro?.. Pwedeng malaman?..
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fun stuff to do with bitcoin? on: April 20, 2019, 10:53:53 AM
Is there anything fun left to do with bitcoin, any specific application, website, app, anything that will make bitcoin fun and interesting again? Otherwise I just keep on holding and that's it.
Dude there is so many fun ways to spend crypto (money in general), either you can spend it to buy luxurious things or choose charitable works. Assuming that I have lots of coins and now getting to feel bored, probably I spend it like I Only Live Once. I mean, life is too short so make the most of it. Maybe, I go travel, play in casinos and do feeding programs for the needy. Sooner or later doing such things trigger your hunger of earning once again and if that happens then working for crypto will become not boring to you anymore. In every aspect, there should be a balance. If you know how to earn then learn how to spend as well, if you know how to work hard then learn to enjoy sometimes.
268  Other / Meta / Re: Yobit spam on the forum on: April 20, 2019, 09:15:38 AM
The only thing I can think of as a semi-solution is: forum members may not be paid for more than X posts per day - no matter the campaign. It would slow things down.
Another rule suggestion means going through another series of debates and another pile of work for the DTs. Don't get me wrong, I like your suggestion but the question is do they like it too?

You know what? For me, daily or weekly post quota is not a big deal. If you're really eager to complete 20 posts per day then divide it in subequal parts, if it means posting every hour for the rest of the day then do so instead of forcing yourself to complete it in several hours only. It is also good in a sense that you can have some ample time to refresh and gather new ideas/motivation thus quality of your posts are not reduced every time you post. It's just a matter of time management and discipline.

If you believe that you are not a shitposter then prove it to others, at all times. If you can't then prepare for the consequences (ban/red tag) Lol.
269  Other / Meta / Re: Posting pictures with out sourcing ..what’s okay and what isn’t? on: April 20, 2019, 05:05:38 AM
So is it really possible to get reported if you posted pics without reference! Ah, I see. To be honest, your statement made me feel a little bit nervous since I made a thread on my local board few days ago which include some images (without proper reference). But so far so good, I'm not being reported until now *sigh.

I guess you most probably get reported if you steal a pic from the others like photos captured by professional photographers and claim it as your own. But other than that, I think it's fine.
270  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are We Witnessing The Start Of Another Bull Run? on: April 20, 2019, 02:56:47 AM
If we will compare the current situation we had right now to the ATH last 2017, it's not yet a mature bull. Hmm, probably it's just a baby Bull (Lol).

Don't yet expect too much mate, it's still early. Doing so might lead you to frustrations and disappointments if will not happen. So just chill and enjoy the uptrend. Nevertheless, i really hope that sooner or later we experience the bull run that we are dreaming of.
271  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin Beat Banks? on: April 20, 2019, 01:32:27 AM
We don't know what's the right answer for that. It is just like it depends on one's perspective. If you are pro centralizatization (e.g. A bank owner) then for sure you'll disagree that crypto will soon invade our world. On the other hand, if you are a geek and hate the current banking system then you tend to say that it will soon replace fiat.

So as a btc holder, I say and hoping that cryptocurrency soon dominate the world. Who knows? Technology is there and new advancements are always waving to us. Let's just wait and enjoy what happens next.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC requirements on BitcoinTalk Bounty Campaigns Become Worst! on: April 20, 2019, 12:53:23 AM
What! National IDs weren't enough? What kind of requirements they really need, birth certificate? Lol. I haven't experience such thing before until now (since I'm not really into bounties) but in my perspective it is really unfair. It's just like you are the slave and they are your master, payments and benefits are not yet assured because of their mistreating attitude (KYC) towards you.

If I were you, stop it already. Your time will be wasted if you continue. Much better if you'll just find other ways of living.
273  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin 1st time mag Invest on: April 20, 2019, 12:07:08 AM
yung tipong makaka earn kami either after a month, quarter, semi-annual, or kahit annually basta worthit naman sa pag antay.
Kahit magkano naman ay pwede but of course the higher the capital, the higher the possible profit as well. Per syempre konti muna iinvest mo since baguhan ka pa lang para if ever malugi ka (knock on the wood) ay less ang magiging regrets mo. For me, better starting capital is 5k? Ikaw, okay ba sayo yun?
You will hodl right? Kung ganoon ang iyong plano I don't advice you to stick on the alts kasi may mahirap sila ihandle compare to btc. Pero kung gusto mo talaga eh make sure na piliin mo yung mataas na ang standing sa market like Ethereum, Ripple and Bitcoin Cash kasi may good foundation na sila.

Her is a friendly reminder, "Invest what you can afford to lose". Bankrupt.

Good luck sa journey mo, stay safe.
274  Economy / Economics / Re: Barclays: ‘Facebook Coin’ to bring in $19 billion by 2021 on: April 19, 2019, 11:35:30 PM
What a fearless forecast coming from him, for me he is overestimating it but it's his opinion in which we can't do anything about it. But well, FB is a very big cimpany and advertising what they want to is not a problem at all thus making their own coin successful is in reach of their hands for sure. I just wonder why they are planning to enter this kind of thing? Are they not satisfied with the large revenue they can generate? I think so and that's natural, I understand that when it comes to business you should adopt on the latest trends to keep on surviving.
275  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin (BTC) Hits 400 Million Transactions on: April 19, 2019, 05:09:34 PM
This is a very nice implication because the greater the number of transactions means greater number of users; and the greater number of users leads is closer to our dream of crypto adoption. I can't believe thay we are reaching this far.
[snip]
That's understandable since we knew that Visa and McDonald's (based on your example) are already considered empires of their own industry when btc is not yet matured. And besides, we can see that btc is growing fast — that's the most important thing. Let's give it another time, btc might become bigger than the companies stated above after more couple of years, who knows?
276  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [TIPS] Aid in Good Quality Posting on: April 19, 2019, 04:07:57 PM
2. FIND THE RIGHT WORD
Be sure you choose exactly the right word for the job. That means it must carry the precise meaning you want, and it must sound right in your sentence. Meron tayong thesaurus to see if you can find a better one.
But you know what, hindi ko ikinakahiya yun kasi it helps me to grow as a quality poster.
4. NO UNNECESSARY WORDS
Related ito sa No. 3. If you don't really need a word, cross it out. (For example, the word 'very' is almost always unnecessary.) Be strict with yourself about this.
Hmm, what do you mean by "unnecessary"? Masama ba gumamit ng very? Tsaka ano pa other examples ng tinatawag mong "unnecessary"? Please profound.

Anyway, this is helpful. Though tama ka sa sinabi mo na marami na ring existing threads like this one but okay na rin ito dahil kahit papaano ay napapaalalahanan muli ang mga ating kapwa Pinoy kung ano ba ang tamang pagpost Smiley.
[snip]
Mostly what I'm ooking for ay yung content ng gawa.
277  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Just Started to Accept Bitcoin in my Espresso Bar on: April 19, 2019, 10:25:49 AM
Oh my God! Do you have a branch here in the Philippines? Please make one if there's none, I will be your number 1 customer if ever. Lol, I'm just kidding about having the branch here but I'm serious about beconing your number 1 customer if ever. I do really love coffee on its all form; hot or ice cold, sweet or bitter as long as it is caffeine. I just wish there's a cafe here which also offers btc payments but unfortunately our country is not yet into crypto adoption.

Anyway, good luck and more power to your business. I'm hoping for the success of your business.
278  Other / Meta / Re: Does anyone here make a living off the forums? on: April 19, 2019, 07:24:21 AM
So my question is: Is anyone here making a full time job out of forum tasks?
I am not, I think the people we can consider full time workers here are the staff and moderators of this forum because their job exists as long as the forum is running. Actually I wonder how much is their weekly/monthly salary Huh.
Do you tell people that you make a living on a bitcoin internet forum?
I am just quiet about this forum before but after I spilled it out into my friend the news spread like a virus. Well, it's good somehow in a sense that many people are now getting interested to cryptocurrency but the sad part is they just came here for bounties and learning is only their second option.
How do buy stuff if you don't pay any taxes? Or you do file tax earnings for your BTC?
I convert crypto into fiat first before buying because of lack of opportunities - our country is not yet having wide adoption of blockchain tech. Furthermore, our country is not so strict when it comes to regulations, we are free to enjoy our crypto earnings without dealing with any taxation.
I wonder if you could add on your resume that you dedicated your time to this.
Of course not, it has nothing to do with the job you are applying for. But if you are good on making avatars and signature tjen you might include "Skilled in graphic designs" in your resume.

If I had to do all of that I wouldn't have time to have a so called real job.
What people call real job is the 9-5 slavery, right?
Yes it is! But have you ever hear of the 7-5 slavery? Lol.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you gamble? Please voice your opinion! on: April 19, 2019, 05:08:56 AM
Actually, I'm not into gambling because I know that the probability if winning is always less so why I mind doing such thing, much better if I just focus to my work. That will be a sure money.

But it doesn't mean that I do not gamble at all, I seldom play lotteries (I think 1 to 3 times a month but I stricly use excess funds only). I do so because I have a neighbor here who won a mega jackpot before which makes me feel a little bit jelous on his success. Now he have cars, land properties and a 3-storey house. I'm just trying my luck, that's all. Who knows? Maybe I will be the next millionaire? Lol.

Anyway, I guess my case belongs to the 5th option.
