And now, the referee shows the penalty spot. Ronaldo seems to be taking this opportunity.

Yes, unfortunately. A very undeserved penaldo in my opinion.

But now we have an equalizer from Ghana!

Portugal vs. Ghana: 1:1

Ghana are playing very well in the match as they were able to level up the score. Ronaldo score Penalty and eight minutes after, Andre Ayew level the score with a cross from Kudos.
now Portugal have taking the lead with a goal from Joe Felix.

Ghana might try and get a point in the match as they look serious in the match.
Ghana are really playing a great game, irrespective of the penalty given that wasn't worth it obviously, and this situation of awarding Western teams favours against Africa countries teams in every world cup will persist if Africans don't rise up to protest against such chronic act.

Why on Earth did the referee refuse to go check VAR to really decipher what really happened but rather just awarded a penalty just like that. Only this act for me has made the WC boring and unequal preference.
2602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Arming others with Crypto-knowledge for times of recession. on: November 24, 2022, 10:54:39 AM
Well done sharing your knowledge. I think given emphasis or importance on the last topic is much appreciated. I do hope that they learned it by heart and apply what they learn in the real world. Having someone to teach this is lucky. Some arent have folks that will teach them the basics and only needed to learn online which is on part of newbies will likely not sync if they dont understand what they read or understand the concept.

I still think it's important that people take an interest on their own. And I think that interest will be stronger where the standard of living is much lower than in other countries. People are forced to look for other ways to earn money. I'm just expressing my opinion. Several times, I tried to get my friends interested in cryptocurrencies. But I can't do it. Bitcoin remains a bubble for them, and I'm not used to doing something and convincing them if I don't see the point. As long as people have money and earnings, they believe that bitcoin is a scam.
OP, I envy your altruism. I see more notes; that is, you really prepared, and your lesson was not a simple conversation on a bench.
But I agree wholeheartedly with mk4. Pay more attention to stories about how many people have failed with bitcoin, and talk about the reasons for these failures.
@lovesmayfamilis and mk4 , thank you for drawing my attention to that, it's really an important insight and  I'll do well to bring that to their knowledge cause it's necessary they know.
2603  Economy / Economics / A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: November 24, 2022, 10:40:49 AM
In life we have different folks with different likes and preference. There are people that chosed to go into business as businessmen from scratch and turned out to be business tycoons and movers and shakers of the industries with some few years in business.

While on the other hand some other person chosed to be employees as in working for those that owns business organisations/companies and yet still made it in life to an enviable climax. Perhaps cause that's what they love and have enthusiasm for rather than being an entrepreneur which perhaps might not have worked out well for their career eventually.

Either way, be it a business owner or an employee there are some other people who venture into either of them made no success too. Life can be somehow unfair, right? No! Life isn't unfair, for that's how the cosmos works. So everyone can't just win on a particular thing, definitely not everyone  Smiley

Now let's have a discussion about it all, for between being an employee to work for some other person's establishments/organization/company  and rather taking time/years to establishing your own company and not working under an employer but rather you being the employer, which will you chose and please ensure to back up your choice with reasonable thoughts, as it could be a guide to some other person's that might be reading this tread.

Let's begin!

Anyone that understands what he or she is into about bitcoin then am sure such persons have no reason to be frightened about the recent downs in the price of bitcoin, if you have much money I'll advise to see this as opportunity to invest for a long investment as the price is sure to up turn higher and higher, all we just need right now is patient and patient only.

In addition to underestimating Japan yesterday, but Germany, who actually controlled the ball more than Japan, also looked difficult to break through the defense of the Japanese team, which played more under, but Japan didn't make many mistakes when it had the opportunity to counterattack, which made the German team a little overwhelmed.
The epic comeback from Japan was extraordinary, Japan played stubbornly and dared to attack, and made it difficult for the German players. It's true, as you said, Germany had a lot of possession of the ball, lots of opportunities but it was difficult to make a change. If I see Germany, it is difficult to score goals from open play against Japan because the Japanese defense line is solid and the Japanese players' presing is extraordinary. Germany only scored from a penalty, congratulations for Japan and keep up the enthusiasm for Germany.
The Japanese really played with lots of energy and fearlessness in the second half of the game, making sure they converted there r few chances The uad to obtain a three points at the end of the the game, unlike the Germans that were misusing all their chances and possessions right from the first half of the game with unprofessional shots off targets l. Everyday off he world surprises keeps on unfolding as the underdogs eventually bags the points from Argentina, now Germany, and so let's see what today's result will be.
Am expecting more and more surprises!

2607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Arming others with Crypto-knowledge for times of recession. on: November 23, 2022, 05:43:18 PM
I took the opportunity of sharing my knowledge about cryptocurrency especially bitcoin on a round-table discussion with my neighbours, which I gave some basic dictation and explanations about cryptocurrency and the wide range of opportunities that's is embedded in cryptocurrency and it's operation as I know it so far. I don't claim to know much but I've surely learnt from being attached to this forum for a while now and it's been life changing. Its very important that thought this change might start with me, it doesn't have to end with me.
My motivation behind the exercise of exposing them to cryptocurrency was born out of necessity based on the recession crisis facing the economy of many countries of our world in which many persons are facing untold hardship as people are losing their jobs  due to layoffs by there employers. And so I felt like, it would be a great opportunity to arm them (my neighbors) with cryptocurrency knowledge in times as this, just in case things should grow even worst economically among them, they would have the leverage of choice to engage in cryptocurrency investment or trading to fill in the gap while trying other options.

Topics of discussion:
>Background introduction to cryptocurrency
>Types of cryptocurrencies.
>Volatility in cryptocurrency.
>ways on how to store cryptocurrency securely.
>How to purchase cryptocurrency.
>cryptocurrency  fraud and scams. Etc.

Photo album from the round table discussion

I am someworth glad with a deep feeling of accomplishment that I could be able to transmit my idea of something of value, the much I've learned from the forum to other people that are in the dark about the cryptocurrency innovation and to correct some flaws been spread around by anti-cryptos. For I may not have taught  them so comprehensively about bitcoin as it would have from a professional but I believe I have just played my own role as an eye opener to them, encourage them to do more research on their own about cryptocurrency, most especially bitcoin and I could see the expression of joy on their face after the round table discussion and sharing of ideas.

Cryptocurrency might not be a saving grace from all troubles of the world and certainly not a get rich quick innovation but its sure to save some trouble and prepare humanity for a time to come.

The Mexico vs Poland match is going on right now and the two teams are playing well. Both teams are trying hard to score goals. Of course, Mexico is a strong team in today's match, but Poland should not be considered a weak team. There are many good stars in Poland and this match will show which team can play well and bring them victory. Right now the two teams are playing in the contest let's see what they can do in this series in the next times. Of course, if you keep attacking like this, one team or the other will score in no time, so let's see how the team performs in this beautiful service game.
Mexico had had a first half of few opportunities not converted and when a team fails the o make good use of their opportunities, only one opportunity from their rival which converted to a goal can make them win the game.
What makes you better than your rival in football is about who goes home with the three points and that's what matters.

Now Tunisia and Denmark is an interesting game, both teams are pushing for a goal to unlock the game but it isn't that easy.

Both teams are playing OK but neither od them are taking any risks. I think that Tunisia would be more than happy to draw against Denmark and that Denmark is the one who should take more risk.
In the first half of the game Tunisia had a very good start and were just with much chances but lack conversion of those chances into the net. In football, one thing is to have chances another is to convert them to goals so to bag the three points at the end of the full-time of the game but that's what the Tunis are lacking.

Coming to the second half the game has changed with much pressure is on the side of the Tunisia box as Denmark keep pressing for a goal. I think this game might just end a goalless draw or just one goal in the game. Just maybe.
2611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 22, 2022, 02:32:09 PM
30 minutes has passed and argentina was leading the match with 1 goal and i think that argentina will be winning the match with the score at least 2-0 for that. KSA was not strong enough to give a tough game for argentina with so many great players.
I hope that argentina will be making lots of goals against KSA but the important thing is KSA was doing its defensive pretty well from any attack that came from the argentina. this becomes an easy match for argentina until it will not lucky enough and KSA can make the match become draw.
Unfortunately reverse was the result in favour of saudi Arabia as against your prediction. S.A showcased a strong creative defensive wall one that's well alert in keeping a well professional offside. I believe there was no way Argentina expected a reception of such defeat in their opening game for the WC, especially not from S. A ending their long time undereating record.

Oh how has the GOAT fallen in the first game!  Grin
2612  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a newbie I stay off shitcoin and it paid off, Bitcoin is the king. on: November 21, 2022, 10:58:14 PM
After I started my Bitcoin holding journey a few months ago,
At that time, my close friend Sam! also have some capital he want to put away in cryptocurrency, and I advised him to buy Bitcoin instead of an altcoin. But instead of him to have a long-term potential mentality, he was looking for a quick profit so he filled up his portfolio with shitcoin, while I went in on a single portfolio of Bitcoin and when the unexpected of FTX hack happen the whole market in shamble and his altcoin portfolio have dropped above %800+ but my bitcoin holding still maintains some level of stability.

This gives me more confidence in Bitcoin and newbie who are looking for long-term holding should hold more bitcoin, in their private wallet to avoid exchange, but your knowledge to always have a good entry price.
Altcoins ain't worth the trust many people out there throw on them , for anyone with idea of how dangerous it is to invest into altcoins will definitely not engage into it, despite the whatever short returns it seem to give back at the moment. Bitcoin is just a sure way for any long time investment place on crypto as it has proven itself severally in the past.
2613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 21, 2022, 10:44:05 PM
It was all USA in the first half but Wales chose to come through in the second half and they managed to get a draw in what was already looking like a USA victory. The penalty came just when they wanted it the most and it was a nice first leg G. Bale had brought out to just push the ball farther to ensure the defence had no contact with the ball. You can tell G. Bale was tensed taking that penalty as it was there only chance at getting back into the game and he took it with a great shot to score his goal. A first draw for the world cup and an important one for Wales to start.
I  was thinking the first draw was going to come from the Netherlands vs Senegal game based on the height of pressure on both teams not until fews minutes to  the 90th minutes a game changer goal in favour of the Netherlands hits the back of the net of the Senegalese team.
Like you said USA really made a good show of tactical play in the first half they played down on Wales just unfortunately they never went back home with all the points. How interesting today games were!
2614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is fiat to Bitcoin? on: November 21, 2022, 11:54:39 AM
Can you buy things anywhere in fiat without someone somewhere comparing it to the Euro, Krona, Pound, Dollar, yen, yuan or all six before they've set the price? Does this mean anything?

If fiat disappeared, bitcoin would organically be able to take over much like anything else people chose as currency/being valuable.

If you buy something made in China and you're not buying it in yuan, someone's done a conversion somewhere. If you're buying something in an airport in currency not accepted in that country it wouldn't be possible under your own aspects. Most companies that handle crypto conversions at the moment deal in fiat because it's what they want to collect or to remain competitive.

Most things are priced arbitrarily, it generally doesn't matter what units they're priced in as long as a company can make a profit overall.
If I so understand your point then I'll conceive that the important of Fiat money can't be overemphasized and it continuous existence amidst cryptocurrency is what could be referred to as a necessary evil, as there are aspects which only fiat can come in.

For me, fiat will always exist despite how far and wide crypto is accepted world over.
2615  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do what is right to be happy on: November 19, 2022, 11:06:18 AM

If you want to sleep freely and be happy stay out from hodling in exchange,  and stay away from altcoins. Bitcoin survive in the bear market no how tough it will be. Only Bitcoin can make you smile while waiting for bull. Know this and know and have peace.
For anyone that want to make a long time investment plan in cryptocurrency then Bitcoin is rather the best pick for a choice to such plans. Cause despite the market outcome in the future the sturd nature of Bitcoin over the years will never change cause the value will always appreciate at a point.

Wetin happen don teach us one very important lesson again say, "one person, company nor suppose get too much power so tey e fit influence, affect or impact the whole industry and world either negatively or positively". I believe many persons here have pointed notable reasons why an account could be abandoned but I just want to add that some might be maybe that the user of such account might have been engaged into something bigger and time taking that do benefit them alot and such a person couldn't just be at two places at same time and decides to let go of the account .

Perhaps, it could be a dream job and that has made them got weary of the forum.
2618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto on the way to destruction? on: November 16, 2022, 09:01:37 PM
The cryptocurrency market has been going through a panic for several days now.
There are many wise knowledgeable members who are always advising to be careful with cryptocurrencies.  Yesterday the admin of the forum issued a red alert Here, asking those who have cryptocurrencies in online wallets to transfer them to personal decentralized wallets as soon as possible.
All these members are giving all these warnings on cryptocurrencies without understanding some signals in advance.  So what do we understand the general public?

Is the cryptocurrency market headed for destruction or can we expect something bigger to come?

"Headed for destruction " I don't know what that mean but if you're referring to Bitcoin going into extinction based on the recent market moves then maybe you just haven't yet gotten the concept of the word "volatility".

As long as volatility exist within the cryptocurrency market we should always expect the unexpected, be hopeful for nothing but tread with carefulness as you invest in the market as no one  can really give a clear picture of what the market might hold in the next minutes or so.
2619  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution of technology to wealth creation. on: November 15, 2022, 02:35:38 PM
Everyone has forgotten the real purpose of social networks. Now money and the possibility of earning money rule everywhere. From here, many people have developed a great distrust of social networks, since everything they promote is a scam or, at best, a desire to make money. What talents are you talking about, OP? People go insane in their pursuit of likes.

Hitherto to this time, non of the above mentioned source of means of earns meet and wealth creation was visible as it is today. This profound technological breakthroughs of source of wealth creation in human existence only clears the air that greater advanced inventory as these would evolve, which begs the question of when and what are your expectations?

The last paragraph made my brain explode. What source of wealth are you talking about, OP? Are you personally rich? So why use so many grandiloquent words, the meaning of which is very far from the truth?
True, social media is used by some to promote crime but entirely. In my own part of the country many youths have through the social media showcase their talents through comic short-skits video with the likes of tiktok, Facebook, etc and this has made them gather much followers and likes numbering in million on their page which in turn has given and still giving them financial benefit or should I say making money from it. We all know that there is a certain number of followers you will have on Instagram and you will be receiving payment from Instagram due to the numbers.

So this is one way among many other that social media has help to drop concurrent income into the pockets of many which I could personally refer to as wealth creation.

As for the last paragraph you referred to as being grandiloquent, lolz.
What I actually meant was that back in times past means of making assets was not so much available in just with some few clicks away as technology has made it easier today.

Thank you! Grin
2620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: November 15, 2022, 01:55:43 PM
Bitcoin and crypto are volitile assets and should not be forced on kids. There are things meant to be taught kids and there are things for adults. Bitcoin is an adult education and should not be used to border kids that will be learning common sense education. The best a parent should do is to show kids his/her private keys incase of demise. Whenever they grow up, they will learn the technology invoke in their time.
Giving your kids your private keys just all in the sake of uncertainty like death without first giving them the knowledge and idea of what such keys posseses is like giving a treasuring bag full of gold to someone that has no knowledge of the value of gold.
Just like the saying goes, "when the value of a thing is unknown  abuse is inevitable".

Your kids might come to the knowledge of the value of what the private keys posseses probably when they might have abandoned or loss it due to the clueless idea of what it was and by then they must have been left behind by other kids who had the knowledge of Bitcoin ahead of them.
knowledge is power
