2601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in your country on: July 23, 2015, 03:33:14 PM
I am from France, many people have heard about it, but not too many are using it. Shops or magazines either. Most shops that I've seen are using it in Paris, which is normal.

Bitcoin still has a long  way to go in my opinion. But we are slowly getting there! Smiley

Bitcoin is still new for my opinion it requires much time to be promoted much more in the internet in the markets and everywhere we want to see bitcoin as a payment method (live).
And advertisement should be huge more.
2602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: July 23, 2015, 03:31:28 PM
If you are a player that doesn't know when to stop, gambling will without any doubt wrek your life.
Gambling can become a dangerous addiction, but if played carefully and wiselly you can get great profit from it!

It is like drug or like coca cola for someone that is addicted by tthem and they can not stop their self.
They try but they can not. So it is and gambling.
2603  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 bitcoins. Will I be a millionaire by 2020? on: July 23, 2015, 03:30:19 PM
My guess is that you will need ~500 BTC to be a BTC millionaire in 2020.

Buying 500 Bitcoin these days cost a fortune, maybe if you have lots of money it can worth.
So in 2020 if the price hits 1,000$ or around it it can give you lots of profit
2604  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: July 23, 2015, 03:29:20 PM
You are requiring a bit to much.
A quote says find and marry a rich girl or a rich boy, and you will become rich.
Only one of many opportunity.

Lol..True..
If your father is poor it's not your fault, but if your father-in-law is poor then it is definitely your fault  Grin So I would rather find a millionaire girl and would get happily married and happily rich  Wink

It is 100% true, this is maybe the hardest way to become rich, but is one of them.
And near nobody has that luck to become rich in this way that i said.
2605  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: July 23, 2015, 03:28:01 PM
It is really amazing to see how little bitcoin the people over here have.. I would expect more from people that are lurking here day and night, what else is the use?

Honestly this is what amazes me as well. I mean is it really like this or people were just trolling and posting random nonsense while they have much mofe in their stash.

obviously the amount of trolling in answering these kinds of questions is out of hand.
OP doesn't provide any information or feedback on why he is asking it, and nobody likes to talk about his amount of money owned to random unknown people.

Yes it must be trolling, I mean where are all the bitcoins at and what are we actually doing here if this was true.

Anyways this is turning into a nice thread! Smiley

OP doesn't must provide any information or feedback, he just asked a question, what's the problem here? You can answer or not.. it's only your decision. It's like if I ask if you are rich or not, I'm just asking and don't want to post any feedback later, you can answer or not, it's just your business Smiley

The problem is that maybe he just want to ask others if they have or not.
Maybe he had and thats the reason he is asking now. to see if still other have 1 bitcoin left or not.
2606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is NOT a currency debate! on: July 23, 2015, 03:26:32 PM
Bitcoin is can be commodity and can be a currency too, it's depends on you used it, you look at the value of btc to fiat exchange, and you see bitcoin as commodity which only can exchange to fiat only, you need see is widely, now a lot merchant or company accept bitcoin as payment processor, it's prove if bitcoin can be a currency.

Yes bitcoin can be a commodity but no for currency. not all the thing that can be as a payment must be a currency..let say a cheque or travelers cheque can be a payment but it is not a currency but it have a value of money and same as bitcoin we can use it as a payment but it is not a currency but it have a value of money

I would give a name this kind of currency as the secondary (less important than the fiat currency (primary currency)) so it is a currency but like a secondhand Smiley
2607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: July 23, 2015, 03:25:22 PM
Thanks for Your Responses I Learned a Lot From The Response From People Here. But I Thinking That I Don't Know More About The Bitcoins. Is Bitcoins Can Be Reversible Like Paypal Funds Are Reversible. Is That happens With Bitcoins ??

No. Bitcoin transactions are irreversible.

I think it was a trick long before that if you sent by mistake to somebody and still the transaction has 0 confirmation i think it was something to solve this by getting back the money.
Correct me if i am wrong.
2608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin anonymity on: July 23, 2015, 03:24:06 PM
Bitcoin is actually not anonymous, but it's pseudo-anonymous. If you send just random transactions then you are anonymous, but if you want to buy something from bitfinex then you are not.

Yes i think maybe everything is tracked, as long as nobody will keep a look at your transaction.
But some stolen bitcoin still has not been seen anywhere.
2609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it? on: July 23, 2015, 03:22:58 PM
The best recommendation is sharing the bitcoin platform any blog about it.
Sharing in social media is a good thing, also in twitter tweeting people will be interested and will accept easier.
2610  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many Bitcoins are lost forever? on: July 23, 2015, 03:21:26 PM
yes bitcoins can die with you ...I've recently been thinking about that .  I'll be printing out a paper  backup and keeping it in a safe for my family in the future!!
yeah, that is actually a nice idea. you'll never know about your future. i have recently been working on creating a cold storage on linux with encrypted wallet and everything to prevent it from getting stolen but this is going to make it impossible for my descendants to have any access to my money Cheesy
i have to think of a solution...

It has been passed almost a month i think maybe around that, and would like to ask you.
Have you found the solution, is everything working well, if yes let us now about it Wink

2613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I did my first Bitcoin presentation last week at a York Green Party meeting on: July 22, 2015, 09:11:51 PM
The topic itself is a bit challenging.
The next time i would like to suggest you to present to the audience some facts.
https://99bitcoins.com/test-yourself-are-you-the-ultimate-bitcoin-expert/
That i learned today and are very interesting and would make the audience more attractive to your presentation.
2614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in your country on: July 22, 2015, 09:07:15 PM
i didnt know that already one country allowed bitcoin legalized sounds the way to be follow by all the remaining countries japan is the first one there is any other running into the legalize bitcoin ?
Well you need to read this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country There are many countries that have legalized bitcoin in this world.

1. United States
2. China/UK
3. UK/China
4. Canada
5. ? ? ?

I'd like to say that spot is taken by Indonesia. so let's agree to disagree. Cool
How about other European countries such as the Netherlands? There are many bitcoin-related shops and stores there. You could also live in there with some cash and the rest, bitcoins. Netherlands could possibly be in the 5th place.

Wait, what does that ranking mean? Number of users or the development of bitcoin?
Yeah Europe is the best place in bitcoin development, I guess there are many more bitcoin-related business than other place in the world. But seems number of users are still less than those countries.

As the dothebeats Netherlands should be in the 5th place
The Netherlands' biggest food delivery network now accepts bitcoin
Its an old post http://www.coindesk.com/netherlands-food-delivery-network-bitcoin/
2615  Economy / Auctions / Re: Hero Member on: July 22, 2015, 08:58:37 PM
Can Notified what his username?
because I want to check his post, if his post bagus2 possibility I will make a bid

I think the auction has been ended, if it is so i would recommend the OP to close(lock) the thread.
P.S what happens usually to the users that make bid and when they win the auction does not pay?
Any bad feedback to them or what are the rules in this case.
2616  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: July 22, 2015, 08:54:21 PM
Gold, it has industrial use, been used a lot longer, has more trust and much bigger exposure, it would be the wisest and less risky investment to just keep your savings safe.

On the other hand, you want make a huge profit, might even lose some. At best you keep your savings at the rate you bought the gold for.

Apart from that, why are people never talking about palladium, platinum etc?

Posted From bitcointalk.org Android App

20% VAT here on the UK on silver, platinum and palladium.

Gold is VAT free and if you buy gold legal tender like sovereigns, Britannia's etc. they are capital gains tax free too Smiley

Good job United Kingdom for this fair VAT free for GOLD, this strategy must be applied in most of the countries of the world.
This increase the chances to buy and sell more gold.
2617  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: July 22, 2015, 08:52:07 PM
With all due respect, I suspect we will ever again see bitcoin under $200, not $100. I mean too much money is invested into all of this for it to just drop like that.

That's correct. I believe that it will go below $200 but not below $100 but if it does, then it will entertain the new investors who wants to invest in bitcoins, but it would surely not a great news for the people who have invested at the higher prices. It would be a great loss for them if it goes below $100

Dont know i have many opinions in my head(in my mind).
The first one says me that the bitcoin will become higher popular and the price of bitcoin will increase. at least 10-50% in few months
2618  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anonymity for sending Bitcoin on: July 22, 2015, 08:50:19 PM
Coinbase would be a good choice for you, since it is easy to use/ to send and to receive.
Every time it generates new addresses.
Also when an exchange was hacked the coins were sent to a site which was accessible only by TOR network.
Cant remember the site name but it was something like bitcoin foggy or something like that.
Search a bit and i think you will find what you are requiring.
Good Luck

for bitcoin anonymity i would not recommend coinbase at all since it tracks how users spend their funds.
http://cointelegraph.com/news/113207/coinbase-is-tracking-how-users-spend-their-bitcoins
http://truthvoice.com/2015/05/coinbase-accused-of-tracking-bitcoin-users-notifying-cops-of-transactions/
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2qmpp7/coinbase_is_tracking_how_users_spend_their/

in fact, i would really recommend against coinbase if you want to stay anonymous.

and the site youre thinking of is bitcoinfog, they have a clearnet portal, but to actually access their mixer services you must access them through TOR.

Well so i have never ever done or think about this until i saw this main post and was thinking how?
So i change my mind do something else and stay away from coinbase.
2619  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: July 22, 2015, 08:46:16 PM

2620  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which BTC wallet are you using on: July 22, 2015, 08:40:09 PM
I used xapo in the past, then i moved to blockchain and i have a plan to move to coinbase.
I think ti keep a bit experimenting but coinbase seems to be good
