If there is no a maximum theorical cap for winnings hit, it can affect negatively the (medium returns), or those average or medium wins that allows you to play and wager higher amount than your bance..

The fact that an unlimited win can really occur mean also that you can place unlimited amounts without any win..

Let me give you an example.. For the game "Sweet Bonanza" for example, as they say:

Additionally to that, during the bonus rounds hitting 3 or more lollipops give you an extra 5 free spins.. so it can continue indefinitely
so each and both the facts points to that there is no a maximum possible win !

Now I see what you meant to say. Thanks for the explanation! Smiley

Indeed, theoretically, you can be rolling forever without any win, and, of course, the opposite can happen. Yet in reality we don't know such cases, right? I mean, even something close to "forever", like 100k winning spins, this has never happened to anyone.

And still I think that if someone hit a very long winning streak, it can't affect medium returns because those things are totally unrelated.

Right now in Russia the fine for not showing up after receiving the mobilization subpoena (or explicitly refusing the receipt thereof) is 3000 rubles, i.e. ~$50. Not being home when they deliver it has no consequences AFAIK. There were some reports of police checkpoints at subway stations etc but again, that's just for subpoenas - one can refuse to take it, or take it and still choose to not go. There is no criminal penalty, not for the subpoena part anyway.

However deserting after being mobilized (i.e. after you show up as requested by the subpoena and pass the medical exam etc) is a crime. It's also a crime to not show up for the annual draft. This is where it gets a bit murky, because draftees are not supposed to be sent to foreign wars but now that Russia proclaimed the annexations it's no longer "foreign" and never was officially a "war"... Draft starts today, remains to be seen how that goes.

I'd say the mobilized cannon fodder are more idiots than slaves. $50 seems like a good deal for staying alive. On the other hand, the promised salary of $3000 per month is A LOT of money in most places in Russia outside of Moscow / St. Pete. So... greedy idiots?

They are. They are counting not only on the promised high salary, but on the things they think they will steal from Ukrainian homes. That is their motivation for going to the war, because most of them drafted to the war live in places like this

where they see microwave ovens and washing machines only in TV-series. First you bring your people to these conditions, and then you send them to loot a neighbouring country. It won't work. People with such motivation and goals simply can't be victorious.
2606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 Bitcoin Halving - What are Your Expectations!!! on: November 07, 2022, 03:07:11 PM
~

I agree! Expecting a $1 Million per bitcoin is not likely and too unrealistic for the next bitcoin halving somewhere in 2022, remember that we haven't crossed the $100k mark yet as the last ATH was listed for $69k last November 2021 and the market declined weeks after the ATH. Let's expect a much realistic price so that we won't get disappointed because there are other factors to consider before we set some prices, we may see as twice as much from the last ATH for the next halving, no more than $180k.

You meant to say 2024 instead of 2022, I'm sure. Smiley

As for the $180k it's not unrealistic. Looking at what happened last time, we can expect $200k+ in 2024. When? Plus-minus 5 months to May 1, 2024. But hardly much sooner than that, and definitely not later. No one wants to be late to buying coins cheap, so, in my opinion, the next ATH will happen before the next halving.

Hope Bayern Munich won't let me down. Smiley
And the match really got you down Smiley, I know that you are chasing to get the boost odds so you choose over 3.5 on this match.
Maybe you will also be interested in betting on Argentina to win world cup 2022 because the boost odds are from 8.5 to 13.00
Duelbits often give boost odds in football matches

Yep, it did. FC Bayern Munich won, as I expected, but 3:1 didn't happen, so, yeah, I lost with my "over 3.5" prediction.

Thanks for the tips! Duelbits always has some great promos running, so now, after spending my very last 5 cents on Rise of Merlin slot, I'm thinking on depositing some cash on the site.

Another Round on Superbru. Let's see who was among the best this time. Smiley

For Man. City vs Fulham, Leea-1334 and SwordsRex won 3 points each with their modest predictions:

No one was wrong, even I with my Def pick earned 1 point.

Mister Surname from the United Kingdom was the only one to predict the correct score for Nottingham Forest vs Brentford:

Lots of people were wrong about this one, yet my Def pick gave me 1 point here too. Smiley

Woodie and bullrunbro made the perfect pick for Chelsea vs Arsenal:

And my Def pick gave me 1 point again, while many ppl from our pool were totally wrong about the outcome.

And then there were no Def picks left for me

so I got nothing for West Ham vs Crystal Palace, but actually only a few got something:

All the others from our pool were wrong about the match.

It's really heartwarming that so many people were predicting the win of Livertpool here

Thank you, guys, for rooting for my favourite team. I myself wasn't, and and I paid for that mistake.

Leea, congrats on getting the Yellow Cap!

What I've learned from this round is that it's better to make your predictions as early as possible, although there can be downsides to this approach, than to not make them at all, especially when you have no Def picks left.

ALSO +1:
For those who mentioned "I want to play a superbru style predictor tournament" -- I know for a fact one is being set up right now and Sportsbet.io will sponsor that predictor tourney aswell. More details will be shared shortly!

Thanks for the introduction and generous sponsorship, Steve!

2611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have your winnings lured someone into gambling ? on: November 07, 2022, 09:29:30 AM
As a gambler we see winning big as success is gambling, do you share and celebrate your winning story with friends ?

Have your winning story or celebration lured someone you know into gambling because he wants to win big like you ~

When I win big, I tell the story to my friends, but I'm always saying that it was good luck, and that there's no guarantee it will happen to anyone else, or even to me again. Even if it's poker, where luck plays, according to many, a lesser role, I'm always saying, it was because of luck that I won.

I wouldn't mind if someone started gambling because of me, but only if that person would play for relaxing and entertainment purposes. I'm never saying out loud, start gambling and you will win big too , although somewhere deep in my heart I do wish them to win big, of course.
2612  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you visit the casino while travelling? on: November 07, 2022, 08:38:51 AM
I've never visited a casino while traveling. All I do when I travel is relax and watch the beauty of nature. And in a casino I can't relax and enjoy myself. If you go somewhere, take a break from gambling or do something you've wanted to do for a long time.

It depends on what is work for you, and what is relaxation. For example, for people collecting tea leaves from mountain hills and  thus watching the beauty of nature every day from morning till evening, for such people visiting a casino would be a relaxation. And watching the beauty of nature again during their time off, no, that would be definitely not the best time passing for them. But if you work in a casino, or you gamble every day on various online platforms, then I understand,  it's better for you to stay away from those places while on vacation.

Those who work in nature have no time to enjoy it. If I look at nature instead of working, I won't earn anything. You don't have to gamble during your trip. You can visit the casino after working day.

Of course, you don't have to, but if that's what you want, why not? If you know yourself, and you realize that once you step inside of a casino, you will be spending all your time there during your vacation, you should avoid going inside, absolutely. Don't even walk in the vicinity of a casino. But if you know that you can control yourself, I see nothing wrong with spending 1-2 hours of your vacation playing roulette or slots, especially if it's a world famous place, something you can see in the movies.
2613  Economy / Economics / Re: LMAO: Santander UK bank puts limits to buy bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. on: November 07, 2022, 07:24:27 AM
~
I'm not buying the "it's for your protection" argument here, as people get scammed with fiat constantly through all sorts of methods, whether it's the old Nigerian prince kind or pretty much any other scheme you can think of.  My guess is that Santander didn't decide this on their own, but rather had it suggested to them by some government agency that hasn't officially regulated cryptocurrency yet.  Banks and government have always been in bed together, so that wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Almost all bad things in this world are done "for protection" of some groups of people. Some times they go so far as saying that it's "for protection of all people in the world". Well, f*ck that. We should know by now what that really means.
2614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The History of Baccarat on: November 07, 2022, 06:53:08 AM
I think it's a good thing that threads like this one keep appearing on this forum. Knowing the history of the game is irrelevant to your chances of winning, but it surely makes your gambling experience better overall. You can learn something new while googling on the topic. Like, for example, I learned today that Baccarat is more popular than Roulette by a wide margin in Casinos of Nevada:

Source:Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) annual survey for 2018.

And I'm positive that people will add more interesting facts to this thread.

2615  Economy / Services / Re: POKER COURSES FOR SALE on: November 04, 2022, 09:28:59 AM
~ poker is one of those things that become obsolete after some time. Not very quickly, same strategies can work for years, but still after 10-15 years they may stop working. This applies to online poker first of all. You can use some ancient poker strategy playing in your neighborhood, and it will be working forever if your opponents don't use the internet to update their knowledge.

Does that suggest that the "Poker Courses" that OP is selling might be obsolete? Because why would those "masters"  share their secrets, unless they can make more money from selling them than actually using them? It's probably just the same with those unprofitable traders who sell subscriptions to teach plebs how to be "day-traders".

It is very likely that this is the case here. I'm not trying to say that OP is a cheater or something, but I personally wouldn't recommend to anyone  to buy his courses. It's not even about the money you'll spend on them. It's about your head littering with outdated information.

Pakistan vs South Africa, 36th Match, Super 12 Group 2 The game is taking place right now. Pakistan team batting and South Africa bowling. At this moment Pakistan team's batting Rezwan got out for 4 runs off 4 balls. Wayne Parnell of the South African team is very good, his ball is very dangerous. South Africa took the first wicket of Rizwan Pakistan in today's game and left the Pakistan team in a very vulnerable position. Mohammad Rizwan of Pakistan team was a very good batsman. At the moment Mohammad Haris and Babar Azam are batting.  Let's see how they can perform in today's match. We can already see that Mohammad Haris has gifted 2 six and 1 four to the visitors off Kagiso Rabada ball.
Pakistan is batting after winning the toss in this match.  However, Pakistan could not score many runs by batting. However, in this match, South Africa's bowling is doing excellent bowling. We can see that South Africa's bowling has put Pakistan's batting under pressure. However, Pakistan does not seem to be able to score more than 150 runs in this match.  Pakistan have lost 4 wickets so far.

It looks like you are wrong, mate.

Pakistan is doing great so far. They still can lose the game, and my bet went for South Africa  because of the great odds on Sportsbet.io. But were the odds more or less equal for both teams, I would bet on Pakistan this time.
2618  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best thing to do if this happens on: November 03, 2022, 09:52:40 AM
Telling the truth about what happened to you is very important, and you should definitely do it, even though it might seem pointless, especially after many unsuccessful attempts to communicate with the customers support of the scammers.

I would recommend this place, bitcointalk, as a platform where your message will be heard and discussed, unlike many places where no one will actually see it.
If you know that you didn't comply with the casino's terms or you don't have a solid case with enough proofs then better remain silent otherwise it will backfire on you.
We witnessed many cases where gamblers accuse casinos of scamming but we quickly realize that the customer is in fact the real scammer or a abuser.
The good thing about this forum is that most of its members are unbiased and most of the times they will take the side of the customer and do their best to help him.

This is what I like about this forum too. If there's a legit accusation, a gambling site can lose its reputation in a matter of days, the reputation that has been earned for years. And it doesn't matter whether the accuser is a known forum member or a newbie. What matters is the proof he's providing.

And yeah, many scammers, or frustrated gambling addicts are coming here and accusing various sites in something that hasn't happened, but they are easily spotted by the community.

I remember hitting a 2000x in demo mode after just 10 spins lol.
Wow 10x spins get 2000x, and the results will be very different after players change to the real mode and the results of the demo mode should not be used as a reference for players to play with real money because they think they will get the same results, demo mode is just for fun or learning the games or when you feel bored and want to play but are in a condition that can't make a deposit

I strongly disagree with you here. Demo mode is programmed exactly the same way the the mode with real money is. It is illegal to do it differently, and reputable slot providers will never do such things.

I like to play in demo mode myself, and from my experience I wouldn't say I'm getting bigger wins in demo mode than in real one.
2620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: November 03, 2022, 08:58:45 AM
Adolescents usually hate the things their parents are doing, and after twenty most men and women lead a lifestyle that is completely different from their parents'.

I think it depends on the kind of parents they had.  I never hate what my parents had done when I was an adolescent.  In fact, I admire them for their hard work and understanding.  I think the only thing teen ager hates about their parents is being strict.  But then it can be communicated.

What can I say? You've got great parents then, hard working to support you, and understanding, and that is also the support any teenager needs. After all, they weren't gambling addicts, were they?

But that's just your case. You are lucky, mate. Your parents served as a good example for you. In so many cases I know, kids survived only because they were doing the opposite to what there parents were doing. And I mean gambling addiction in the first place. Kids from such families don't want to even hear about gamling, let alone engage with it.
