2601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You Should Know Before Playing A Crypto Betting Game on: August 15, 2019, 07:06:26 PM
Best to do basic things before bringing yourself inside any gambling websites, knowing the terms and all the conditions

Reading the in site rules is more important than reading thier terms and conditions because in site rules are the ones that is more effective and its also easier to read and understand because they are written clearly ,number per number in a short sentence while terms and conditions are mainly written as whole pharagraph and words are sticking to each other making us readers to feel lazy to read them
They are both very important and I don’t think one is more important than another.

The rules will only guide you not to fall into a trap or make a mistake that can cost the game an end without profit but also terms and conditions is the only way a player can understand in detail the conditions of the site so as to decide if to play on the site or not to. I believe, the terms and conditions should even come up first.

In my opinion, I am very sure every player does this before playing on a site, this is one thing that I am very sure no gambler would joke with because, the way scam sites are now rampant, any one could fall a victim and they would refer you back to their TOC, thereby making the player feel guilty for defaulting.
2602  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▄■▀■▄ 🌟BITVEST🌟 💰WIN BY 🔶 PLAY 📈 INVEST ☕ SOCIAL➡🔺PLINKO🎲DICE🎰SLOT🔲KENO on: August 15, 2019, 06:46:24 PM
Honestly, this is how you figure out if a website is legit or not, it has absolutely most amount of respect earned in one move than any other move a casino could ever make.

They got hacked and instead of letting it be or even closing shop (happened before) because of amount of money lost they just ate the losses themselves and gave back the investors what they have lost and continued operations like nothing happened for the gamblers and investors alike (only they themselves lost because of this but they didn't put the burden on anyone else).

This move right here would take bitvest into higher levels for sure, they are already one of the most known ones out there so I don't know how much more famous they could get since they are already top 5 in everyone's list but if they weren't this would have put them there for sure.
2603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: August 15, 2019, 06:19:02 PM
I never wona huge amount of money by gambling, not in the crypto world not in the Fiat gambling. For me winning huge is when you win some kind of Jackpot because every other kind of winning I don't consider it a huge amount.

Some lucky persons may even win huge amounts when they win a big parlay in sport betting.
Sport betting is really a very nice and interesting game, but I have learn to always discipline myself in life, so I don’t just play because I want to win money, I play because I just play like I am suing money to play game in a gaming center, so I dint commit huge amount for money into it for me to expect huge returns, although I could be lucky one of these days that I could just play with little amount and win big, I have heard stories of some people that really played with little and won big.

In as much as I love gambling, I do more of trading and anywhere you see me commit my money the most would be on trading, at least with that, I know that I can have my strategies to work, unlike gambling where I cannot make use of anything called strategy except just purely luck.
2604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think opening a real bank account could be much easier using blockchain? on: August 15, 2019, 05:48:04 PM
Well, it may make things more easy depending on the way it will be applies, and I don’t think blockchain technology will stop the issue of KYC, kyc will still be requested from majority of people that will still use the bank, but with blockchain technology applied to banks, I think It will still favor the bank users more than even the banks itself, especially the banks that will truly apply it, because when it comes to blockchain technology, it comes with decentralization and we all know the advantage of decentralization to people.

It will bring about transparency in the banking sector, secondly, it will make transactions faster and at the same time, eliminate anything third party that has always made thing quite cumbersome and more expensive for people.
2605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price struggling on: August 15, 2019, 04:42:21 PM
it's been a steady price for Ethereum since the begining of this month, still moving within 200 - 240$ Usd , do you think this is a bad sign for ETH?
Let me shock you, do you know this is a very good thing for Ethereum to even stabilize, you are seeing it as issue because you are particular about the investment use of it, but those that uses it as utility coin would rater prefer it that way, let me also ask you one question, will you want a situation where I pay you Ethereum that is equivalent to about $1000 now for a product you sell to me, and by the time it got to your side, the money had reduced to $800? Would you be happy, but won’t you be happy if what I sent to you is exactly what you received?

This is only possible when there is less volatility in some of these coins, so if Ethereum is stable and still being used, I would not say that their project has failed, they have only made it build more confidence in people.
2606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: if anyone hacked your account then who is responsible??? on: August 15, 2019, 04:01:11 PM
You if you didn't take care of security, exchange — if negligence was on it's end and of course the hacker who let go of his morals.

Some tips : 1) Use 2fa 2) Use strong password (use password manager) 3)Don't have your email's 2fa code linked to your mobile number. 4) If you don't actively trade then put your funds in hardware wallet
Most hacking that has been not been through exchange which we could claim exchanges responsible for as to actually do with negligence of people, and they are quite weak with their security keys, and not only security keys like you said, but fail to make use of stringer security tools available at their disposal.

One thing that usually teach people lesson is experience, I did not get to take all these security issues too serious until someone tried hacking into my hacking, I was just lucky that I was fast enough, otherwise, it would have really been a bitter experience, it was at that point that I started outing all the available security tools like 2fa and the rest into consideration, but we don’t really have to wait for that before we start making use of those important tools.
2607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin or Bitcoin on: August 15, 2019, 03:05:03 PM
will you invest more in altcoins or prefer Bitcoin??? i think altcoins need more investors like Bitcoin?
I think altcoins developers that really need to get more serious about their projects because they are the ones that would attract investors, there are ever ready investors that are willing to put their money in a reliable altcoins that they have heard of, and if those developers does not make their presence know, how would they get the investor’s money.

bitcoin is already very popular, and does not need much awareness again as much as these altcoins do, because before you can introduce anyone to altcoins investment, you must definitely tell the newbie the history of altcoins which bitcoin will always be made reference to, so altcoins really need lots of advertisement for investor to continue investing in their market, and they need to stop producing bad projects.
2608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Things That Comes Into Your Mind When Winning... on: August 15, 2019, 02:43:04 PM
I guess you need to change your goal because you will feel it's difficult to get huge amounts of winnings from gambling. If you don't have luck, then I don't think that you can win the money even for small money. Maybe you can change your goal into winning any amount of money you can win so you don't feel frustrated if you cannot win big money.
You are right, that he even wins at all means luck is on his side, if there was no luck at all, that means you wouldn’t even win a small amount of money, and like he has rightly mentioned, maybe you should look into something you aren’t getting right and that could be your goal or probably the thought that runs through your mind when playing.

This is the reason I am always thinking of how I would spend my money when am playing. I think this thought has a way of drawing the win closer to the player but it’s important to be careful on the amount we desire to win, because loosing after having a raised up expectation can be depressing.
2609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man won 12 times in lottery on: August 15, 2019, 01:00:06 PM
Sniped

He is a real genius, people invents, think and create something out of necessity, it's hard to do that, but unfortunately, he do not have enough money to do this, and he asks people to fund him and that's where the real problems come.

I'm sure lotto operator and government who runs a network of lottery knows about this story and they have a system set up to avoid this, but we cannot avoid people coming in to try to cheat the system.
Wow, hackers are just everywhere, and I never knew that we also have hackers in gambling too, so could this then be classified to fraud and an offense that is punishable? I don’t think we have much of this type of genius around, although we have so many people that are very good with coding but to crack a system 12 times to win, hmm, that would really be an extra ordinary genius, and even if government does everything possible to ensure that this does not happen again, as far as the man is still roaming about the street, I am sure that he too will always find a way around this also, and would not rest until he gets another way to do so, anyway, i envy him, if I had that resources also, I would use it because making legal money is really not easy.
2610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I've lost on: August 15, 2019, 12:28:09 PM
I am very sure this particular OP has learnt , once you see a gambler that is able to share his lost story be rest assured that that particular player has learnt the hard way and would never repeat the mistake again if opportune to play again. I knew this from my experience, just like the OP, I lost literally everything I ever saved for all my life, I thought that would be the end of my life but thank God for friends and families that helped me to get back on my feet. I at first ran away from gambling and everything that relates to it. But I noticed I wasn’t completely healed, but suddenly I knew it all gone and I started to talk about my experience.

Today I am back to gambling and I have learnt never to think of recovering a loss. That mistake was terrible and I don’t ever want to see myself in that position anymore.
I hope it’s true that the OP has learnt from his mistake but many at times, players repeat same mistake even after admitting. Gambling is a mystery that is yet to be unveiled, it is better not to start at all because calling it a quit is always very difficult. The OP might just be remorseful for the moment, just give him an opportunity to get money and the next thought that would come to him will be on how to recover the lost money. That is the sad thing.

There are a lot of lessons to be learnt from his story especially to those who have never had this experience. First of all is to learn how to be patient, I think the impatience with Bitcoin was what led him to gambling and lastly which is most importantly, is to avoid gambling like a plague because it’s destructive in the end.
2611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 14, 2019, 02:04:36 PM
I think old football players becoming coaches is not a good idea at all, I mean maybe Lampard because he was always a smart player but if you want to look at good coaches you will see that not many of them were star players ever.

Mourinho is known for not played at a major league at all, only trials and so forth, Klopp wasn't a big name neither, even pep was a decent player but not a star, if you want to look at great coaches most of them are players who have retired early and got into coaching early as well because they knew they wouldn't be players wanted at age 35 so they start early, Lampard wasn't like that many new coaches who are seen like promising future will be a let down because they played instead of coaching in years the other ones started coaching already.
2612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The British company Paysend has released a new stable currency XDR. on: August 13, 2019, 07:54:21 PM
I think I’m a bit confused, from your topic it seems like this coin is still new in the market, but I am surprised seeing where you also mentioned that it has been around for ten years now Undecided?? So that means that this is not a new coin but a coin that has been around for a long time, and maybe newly adopted by the British company you have mentioned (PaySend). Within ten years it has only done 12%, that’s quite slow compared to what Bitcoin has been giving. BTC can go that 12% in a day Cool Cool so that’s more profitable than this one.

We have a lot of stable coins right now in the market and I don't think stablecoins have got a lot of mass interest after USDT and TUSD. What's the unique feature or USP of XDR has in offering??
Though stable coins are not really my thing , ever since I started this crypto thing I have never invested my money in stables for once , cause I don’t really see the need for it. To me, it seems like a waste of time since the prices are not going anywhere at all but remains at place. They might other features like fast transactions but still not good for investment , just my thought, unless someone can give me a very good reason to look into them.
2613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitSocial - a platform for earning and effective AirDrop tool! on: August 13, 2019, 07:18:26 PM
Well, it’s good but that is not the only thing that matters. Another thing is that I’m hoping the project pays really good. I don’t like engaging in activities that wouldn’t pay me enough, cause I have bills and many other things to pay, I don’t just go online to waste time on works that wouldn’t pay, I’d rather spend time pouring out my data on YouTube videos. I can remember earlier when I started these online jobs, I would waste on things like PTC, work for a year and still get nothing.

If this is going to be the same, then it makes no sense. Oh and the bot doesn’t even have an official website except for the telegram group and YouTube channel. I think you guys needs to create a website, and maybe try to do something else other than the telegram stuff cause not everyone here makes use of telegram.
2614  Economy / Economics / Re: 🔵 Facebook Agrees to Pay $5 BILLION, BUT will they ever stop?? on: August 13, 2019, 06:51:29 PM
-snip

I don't understand you at all...
and the fact that you profited from Facebook does not mean a thing for me.

Facebook reads your every so called PM 'private message'
If you are OK with that, I am not.

All the best

And so? if they read your pm, in what way has it then added any benefit to them? does you telecommunication company not also have record of all your conversation, and moreover, do you think they will have all that time to read messages of all the users on their database because i do not seems to understand you also, not only him, please make your point clear.
Lol, I also seem not to understand him also, because when he said they read private message, the only way feel they can do that is when they have a specific target, because they have too many handful of work to do for them to start reading messages when they don’t know what they will find there.

He should imagine himself staying in from of a system and just reading messages like someone that does not have direction. You know we have some people that when they are using a system, they forget themselves and believe that they are the only one on that network. All I just see people saying is that Facebook sell data, but they have never explained how they really sell the data and how they make money from it, sometimes we just like to follow a trend without understanding a thing about it.
2615  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the Risk worth strengthening our economy ? on: August 13, 2019, 03:51:24 PM
Given the fact that, for example, the price of Bitcoin over the past year fell from $ 20,000 to $ 2,500, what could happen to a country that begins to fully use Bitcoin and replace its national currency with cryptocurrency?

The price hasn't gone below $3000 on any of the more reputable exchanges. You either made a typo or looked at an illiquid exchange chart.

I don't believe that Bitcoin will replace national currencies. It might become a supplement to Gold, but then in digital form. Governments holding large bags of something incentivizes them to support that something so that their bags don't suffer too much. They have an excellent form of money they print out of thin air that they can use for that specific purpose.

The ECB this year in a tweet said;
Quote
Praet: As a central bank, we can create money to buy assets

Governments could issue their USDT like token on Bitcoin and use that as money, but you still have to deal with a very slow and non scalable underlying network.
It will serve better as alternative to fiat currency and then could also serve as reserve too but would never replace the fiat or completely replace the present currency for now, but in future when technology becomes wide and we have no illiterates any longer in any part of the world, then fiat could then be replaced with cryptocurrency, and when fiat is replaced, its worth will no longer be measured in fiat but in the quantity of the currency itself, and maybe all these gold are what will start getting being measured in fiat, and the bitcoin itself will later serve as store of value in  future because the number of people holding this coin is really going and the more they accumulate these coin, the more it reduces its supply in the market which makes it expensive and stable.
2616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical Analysis Bullshit or Not? on: August 13, 2019, 03:00:50 PM
Definitely, technical analysis is an important tool for profitable trading. But technical analysis must be professional. The person who interprets it must have extensive experience in trading and observing the market. In this case, technical analysis is an integral part of a necessary tools for successful trading.
For one to even be able to interpret technical analysis, the trader must have really been a pro trader, and must have developed some strategies and skills, I also think that before anyone can really be perfect with TA, the person must have also been practicing trading gradually even if they fail at some points because there is no one that can tell me they just become pro in TA the first time that they started making use of it, in fact we have some people that it takes months for them to understand how to use it.

Till now, I am still finding it very hard to read charts and interpret them which is why I do not trade that much, because of TA, I do more of long term trading and even if I need to predict the market in the short term, I predict based on fundamental around.
2617  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is Declining? And What’s Next? on: August 13, 2019, 10:57:45 AM
what do you think will be the next move after the uptrend. from my own little observation, it looks like we will continue the uptrend towards 13k price mark before another retrenchment to 10k. i doubt if the price will go below 9k this year again.
i will love to see altcoins move in the same direction as bitcoin please.
Since we had once tested the value of $13800, I am sure that there might be a retest of it very soon if there can be a broken barrier of $12k, bitcoin will still try and target that, maybe even get to $14k before retracing back to $10k, but all still a perfect bet even if bitcoin goes back to $10k now, I have some coins that has been sold already at $12k, I would just have a better chance of buying cheaper then at $10k which would give me more coin than what I am holding right now.

Every direction bitcoin goes will always be favorable if you really know how to shocking every side of the market, if bitcoin increases further now, it favors some of us, if it decreases, it still in a very big favor of us. Altcoins, I don’t really know what is going on with those ones.
2618  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Savings Vs Investment? on: August 13, 2019, 08:42:51 AM
we can only invest when we are in the right direction. Nobody wants to throw away his earning to scam project especially Now it is getting worst. i always advice newbies that wanted to invest in crypto to go for the top currencies. btc, eth and litecoin. they are save for now.
For long term investment, those projects at the top are really the most reliable coins to invest in but there are some projects that are new or does not belong to the league of top coins that are still good to use and make money in the short term, especially now that the altcoins season is almost near, you need to consider those coins that even have the tendency of going as high as 1500 percent especially those that are still with small cap but have very high working products.

My portfolio contains at least 20 top coins in the coin market, while still have about another 20 coins that I have diversify into selecting from those short term projects, like harmony, and some very great projects that I still believe in them to get me to a greater height within the next 2 years.
2619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This is the crypto bull run June 2019 on: August 11, 2019, 05:34:34 PM
I don’t know why I still find it quite difficult to accept that we are in bitcoin bull run already, I know we had some sudden sharp increase from April but I don’t think is the nature of bull run that I know because the full bull run usually come with nonstop fomo buy which usually does not stop until we reach a new all-time high within the shortest possible time, and as things are going in the market now, I am not sure that we will hit all time high off bitcoin this year, which would make me not see this as bull run.

The real bull run will definitely come, but would not be this year again, I think that would be after the halving of bitcoin which is going to be around April 2020 I believe, so after the halving, I am sure that it will attract a lot of people to invest in bitcoin ten.
2620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My Alt Portfolio on: August 11, 2019, 04:51:31 PM
It is the most safe strategy, if you think why they are in TOP you will realize that most of investors are investing into these altcoins.
That is the normal way that it should be, people are meant to pay attention to projects that are rated the best in the market, but it seems that people still prefer to have more on their funds in newer projects and I don’t know if they fell that these top projects that are mostly old project are already not being used. If they pay attention more to top coin, then the rate of scam should have reduced drastically, it is only new projects that usually scam people.

If people were really paying attention to top project, I am sure by now, they should be increasing in their own and should not be relying on bitcoin for them to increase, so I am beginning to see it as if it is only bitcoin amongst the older projects that they are paying attention to.
