Both teams are doing unexpectedly well this season, but a lot depends on their disposition on a given day, because they can play both a very good and a weak match. The theoretical home advantage will not necessarily matter as Werder Bremen gets more points in away games. In this match, I bet over 2.5 goals.
The game started more than half an hour ago and the result is 1-1 between Hoffenheim and Bremen. Bremen scored first then Hoffenheim got the draw. Chances for Hoffenheim to win are bigger so I assume there will be more goals coming. Bremen managed to get full points in this match because in the last minute a penalty from Nicklas Fullkrug managed to change the situation to 1-2. This is a good win for them because with this result they are still in the top 4 and of course this is something good for a team whose status is a promotion team this season. The good part is that another goal was scored in this game. The missed part is that Bremen is the one that scored and won and not Hoffenheim although their odds were higher after the draw. Benfica played very disciplined in this match and of course this is a good thing for them. I really appreciate that, at least this can be a lesson for Galtier that Ligue 1 is very different from the Champions League.
Getting a lesson early at this stage is better than taking it later of course. Ligue 1 is lesser than the other top leagues (EPL > La Liga > Serie A) and close a little to Bundesliga. French are aware of that that's why they try to improve it. This season for example there will be 5 teams to be relegated and the league will contain from the next season only 18 teams. PSG will play against Benfica again next Tuesday and we will see if they get the lesson or not. |

Agreed, The problem is sometime the small time can give the big team a tough game for sure. Benzema is not performing so well and i know it. It must not a problem for real madrid. The season is still long. There are lots of thing will happen anytime. I just wanna try to know the fact that if real mdrid can lead the la liga anytime. Im not feeling worry about that. This season is way harder than the previous one since Barcelona is on top form comparing to the previous seasons. They won't let Real Madrid get a gap this time and I believe the winner of the title will be decided by the last 1-2 games. For Real Madrid, they need Benzema, missing a penalty could happen to everyone but the essential part is to get in form rapidly after the injury. Really, I'm sorry Milan actually lost 3-0 to Chelsea in today's match. I don't know how ready they are in the Champions League, but it's definitely disappointing. Now Milan have 4 points in group E, the same number as Chelsea but I really hope they can qualify for the last 16 this season.
Either way, Milan must win the next few games against Chelsea and Salzburg and Dinamo Zegreb. If Milan lose again, then it will make them fail to continue their good run this season in the Champions League. Seems that I had too good opinion about Milan, but they were awful today.
Benfica 1:1 PSG. Expected PSG to win, but Benfica gave good fight and probably result of game isn't surprising. And I think it's not bad result for both if you look at table.
Sevilla continue to amaze me how low they can go and Lopetegui isn't sacked still. Down 0:3 in 1st half and 2nd half becomes meaningless.
In other games everything as expected.
Milan result was disturbing since I find them better although bookies already picked Chelsea as favourite days before the game. PSG result was unexpected for real and it made qualification very hard for Juve.. For Sevilla, nothing new, the team is in its worst shape this season.
In most groups, there is at least a team which will pass clearly to the next stage except for Group D and E where everything could happen to the ranking. |

Another challenge this week for Barcelona will be to complete the task of picking up another 3 points against Celta Vigo in the coming days. I really think they can be expected to win, but I wouldn't be surprised if they conceded in that match and failed to maintain their good defensive record. Christensen's injury adds to the list of defenders' injuries, so that's the problem.
Celta Vigo is the easiest task for Barcelona in October from now on. They will play just after vs Inter in CL, then Real Madrid in La Liga then Villarreal and Bilbao which aren't easy opponents then Bayern to finish 2 weeks of hard games. So the risk of injuries, fatigue, red cards absence is quite elevated here and might alter the performance of the club. |

A tough task now faced by Allegri because he is required to be able to restore what was lost from Juventus this season. Of course it is a very disappointing decline if he is not able to restore Juventus' position at least for the top 4 position in the standings. Tonight Bayern Munich won big again (in the CL but still). Last time they also won their match easily. We may have to put off the bad start and assume that they are back in the form of the Bayern as we know it. Incidentally, it is a bad start for Bayern, but not a dramatic one.
