2601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 18, 2022, 06:05:06 PM
I have 2 early bets that are sealed.
Brooklyn Nets vs Portland Trail Blazers - Nets -14.5
Atlanta Hawks vs Memphis Grizzlies - Grizzlies -5.5. According to injury reports, Ja Morant may play this one.
Good luck everyone.

I will follow you on those bets that you've sealed earlier.

The Brooklyn Nets will definitely dominate the Blazers here, they still need to win some more games to increase their chance in climbing the 6th spot. I have no doubt on that even if Irving can't play and the spread will be covered definitely, this time it's Nets -13 and I'll also add Nuggets -2.5 vs Cavaliers. GL! Grin

Stephen Curry didn't have a good game and stayed at only three points last night. He didn't play too much and also maybe he was rested in this game I don't know.
Did you only look at the score? He wasn't rested. He was injured in the first half after he and Marcus Smart went for a loose ball.

Steph Curry will be out indefinitely after that left foot injury but some speculate that he could be back next month.

Lol Grin Clearly he didn't watched the game or even bothered to watch the full game highlights that's why he didn't knew that Steph Curry was injured and only looked at the score after the game. Anyways, after the incident Steve Kerr was really upset against Marcus Smart because he thought that he played dangerously but then he relaxed after they saw what happened in replay and Marcus clearly don't want that to happen either.

Here's the update about Stephen Curry:
Quote
According to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne and Adrian Wojnarowski, inside the Golden State organization, the realistic hope for the home team in San Francisco is that the player who has made the most three-pointers in NBA history will return for the start of the playoffs.

2603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 18, 2022, 03:27:11 PM
I also believed that it's much better if Casimero learns to be more observant without the need to open his mouth. But like as you both guys said, Casimero has proved many times that he is not just for talk because he can also make it happen and beat his opponents on their own soil and the one who's going home bringing the glory and belt.

I think it's almost impossible that Casimero will learn to behave, even if he lose I'm definitely sure that he will talk even bigger.
He has something to prove and he's different from other boxers that are just all talk. At least with him, when he boasts, there's really something to boast.
But I do agree that he has to behave and I'm sure that it's not impossible, he can do that. It's just all about that his attitude is like that but if there's a need to keep silent, he'll be silent.

Right, Casimero's mouth can be back by his fighting skills and that's what makes him different from others who only know how to talk and that's also why we cannot blame the way he talk because his actions also speaks for himself and he has every right to boast about it.

It's just all about that his attitude is like that but if there's a need to keep silent, he'll be silent.

Somehow I think he now knows when to talk but I'm just not so certain about that, the thing why he's so silent now because maybe he was advised to keep some distance for a while from the people and social media so that he can be more focus on his training or maybe there's a surprise behind this, who knows.
2604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 18, 2022, 02:36:42 PM
Tagoe could experiment all he wants, he just has to make sure that he is doing it the right way because Garcia is not an easy opponent to crack, he's been down before, was able to stand up and continue the fight. Garcia is a much tougher opponent now with that experience, so it should be Tagoe who should be careful, he could go for a KO but make sure he always keeps his defense so he will survive longer.

Experimenting is not necessary as that would cost him more rounds before he can make up with a good counter-strategy. Why not just do his usual, focus on good points then slowly applied it every round. No room for doing such testing and experiments.

While he is doing that, Garcia might be the first to hit him up badly. Stay serious and focused and think of all the things he did during their practice and training.

Anyways, we honestly don't need to say what should they do as these boxers are experienced ones.

What we need to wait for is how they will execute their strategy on the day of the fight.

Correct! There's no room for doing some experiments while Tagoe is dancing with Garcia, that's just a very risky move there. Experiments are usually or mostly done where mistakes and errors is not much of a big deal, doing something like that whilst your in the fight may result in sudden lose because there's no replay in boxing and definitely there's no room to make some mistakes.
2605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: March 18, 2022, 01:14:39 PM
It seems like many people think Murata doesn't even have chance to beat GGG, this similar like Pacquaio was heavy favorited compared to Ugas. Watching the previous Murata's fight, he have though chin and power punch but he's slow. This is another test for matured GGG, does he's faster than Murata or not. GGG might lose if he's slower than before, I believe the fight will last for 12 rounds .

If this fight goes the distance then more likely GGG will get the judge's nod because of the money involved in the Canelo vs GGG trilogy, boxing politics will always ruin this sport  Sad.

Murata will give GGG a run for his money and I would not be surprised if the Japanese fighter would win this match as I think he is a very live underdog while GGG is slowing down.
I think that the Canelo vs. GGG fight is one of the most anticipated, but we must bear in mind that Canelo has a pending with Inoue and that all the fans have been waiting, that is why these fights are the ones that are dan will leave a lot of money to the promoters, but in the meantime they offer us the rescheduled fight with Murata, which there are many speculations regarding age, for me experience counts a lot in boxing, and a boxer after 30 He knows what he is capable of doing, what his limits are and how far he can go, this guarantees that in each ring he knows how to manage his strength and resistance.

You are fully aware on what your body is capable off and GGG is much aware that he's not young or in his prime anymore which he had been preparing on what are the adjustments and what to look at in regarding with

his current and future fights because we know that health condition is the most important thing of all aside from money. As for experience then Murata is way too far off and basing up on the poll alone then you could

really see the difference on whats the community been looking for this fight which they do all in favor of GGG which isnt something interesting.

GGG already knew and yes aware that his young days as a professional boxer was way over now that he's not the same GGG that people knew, what we can expect is that what would be GGG's adjustments to this fight against Murata and after that said fight, he will then have to face Canelo on a trilogy within the same year probably September or somewhere in the 4th quarter.

I'm not saying that GGG is on the disadvantage here because we both know that GGG's power is way over than Murata's capabilities, I just find it interesting on what would the be the changes of GGG.
2606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 17, 2022, 06:16:50 PM
The most interesting and superb game of the night was absolutely Orlando Magic - Brooklyn Nets. Because it was a very special game for Kyrie Irving. He scored 60 points. And this was a career-high statistics for Irving as well. He is a really unpredictable player and I admire his performance. And as far as I have heard, he is going to start playing in home games too soon. I hope that my source is reliable and we can see him in all of the games. Nets really need him too if they want to play big for the title.

Part time Kyrie has became very efficient and a high scoring machine. Nets will definitely be unstoppable If Kyrie plays like this every game.
Well, we all hope Kyrie will have to play all of the games in the playoffs If they want to win the championship.
Pretty they'll be the best team in the East once everyone in the roster plays in the playoffs.

I don't have any doubts about Kyrie either, he already proved many times that he's a must have player who contribute big scores even without any assists from his team mates and the fact that he is so difficult to guard makes him a much needed in the Nets in every game they have.

There's only two options so that Irving can play home games, first is he will get vaccine so that he will be eligible to play everywhere the team plays especially in the playoffs where his presence in the court will be a threat to any team they face and second is that he will wait until the city of New York lifts its Covid-19 vaccine mandate that said that he can't participate on any games held within the city.
2607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 17, 2022, 05:11:00 PM
Its normal in this industry because every noise they made counts as this add up the interest of their fans to watch the game since trash talking will build up some hype and controversy to the fight which people like to see its no fun to see if they are both silent knowing Casimero is well known to his bad mouth techniques. Maybe the better thing to do is how his opponent can react on Casimeros trash talk if he slow down in the middle of the fight and been dominated by him then expect that more from this will come.

I don't believe that trash talks will make the fight hype. In the first place, if they really believe that they have a good name, fans will really watch their fight. That attitude is more of being arrogant and non-sense.

Casimero since the beginning does have a behavior like that. That's not because he wants to market the fight. But the difference between him and those other boxers that do trash talks is, he is able to prove it on the actual fight.

Beating Casimero will be the hardest job for Paul Butler in the history of his boxing. But if he was able to do it, that's big news and his career will change for good.

It certainly depends on the situation, there are times that doing some random that trash talk helps the both camp sell the fight even more and make some hype for the fight, yes for the avid fans trash talking won't be needed but they are just trying to make other people curious about them so that others who doesn't know them or not their fans will also watch them out of curiosity.

Don't take it wrong because I got your point. What I'm trying to say that aside from the fact that we knew that Casimero is very talkative not at times but surely most of the times he opens his mouth even if he doesn't need to, but the reason is just an another marketing strategy.
2608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 17, 2022, 04:32:08 PM

Could be the next one, if ever Garcia can throw a succesful blow on Tagoe but what if the latter can withstand that blows? Still, I also definitely think that Tagoe still have those chance. Don't take it wrong because I'm rooting for Garcia on this fight, but I'm just saying that this unknown boxer might surprise us. You're right that experience alone cannot take on Garcia, but we already know what comes with experience and by looking his stats, Tagoe is not an easy one to deal with. Anyways, we'll see next month.

Just imagine Tagoe beat Garcia by knock out or decision that would be the biggest news in the boxing community for 2022 and Tagoe will become an instant celebrity just like Ugas when he beat Pacquiao, and that could be the end for Garcia's legacy because he has a history of depression and losing to someone like Tagoe could hit him very badly.

If that happens, then surely Tagoe will be in the news headlines for several weeks. From being an unknown boxer to a famous one who pulled an upset or knock out the rising star Garcia. But that is the question of ifs at this point because I do think that Garcia will somehow finish the fight and go home with a win.

Ugas's situation is different from Tagoe because Ugas is the underdog with fewer experience while Tagoe is only looked as underdog by bookies and boxing fans but his experience exceeds Garcia. But yes, if he can manage to pull an upset then he will be an instant celebrity.

Yes Tagoe will be certainly famous for a while and that would be surely his big break in the industry but that's just an IF he could really make that happen because on the other side, I doubt that Garcia's camp will just let that happen easily thus their goal is Kambosos Jr.
2609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: FURY vs WHYTE - CONFIRMED on: March 17, 2022, 03:46:30 PM
I was actually going to just skip this event, but I might tune in just in case it's Fury's last fight. I'm a fan of his, but I just don't see the point of this match up. The only way I see Fury losing it through a freak punch, and that's only if Fury doesn't take this seriously, which he has a history of doing.

What do you guys think? Fury talking rubbish about him retiring? Or is there potentially some truth in it. At first I thought it was just to promote this fight, since more people will tune in, and I don't think the fight itself has that much hype. We just want to see either Usyk or Joshua against Fury. Obviously, Usyk has things going on right now which prevents him from fighting, but Joshua is right there, since he also can't fight Usyk currently. Set up the mega fight for 2023, and finally the fans will be satisfied.

It's almost certainly not going to be his last fight. He's probably just trying to sell the fight and make out like it's the last time you might see him. He has to try sell it somehow since Dillian isn't doing anything to promote it (which is Fury and his promoters massive fault for not contractually obligating him to show up for the promo events). I wouldn't miss this or any fight Fury is involved with personally. I don't think Whyte will trouble Fury but you never know. I think if Dillian is AWOL for the entire build-up it might add an extra element to the fight as well. Lots of people will think Fury is in his head or he's avoiding it so he doesn't end there, but maybe Dillian is trying to play his own game. Maybe he's been using all this extra time to just do some hardcore training for it.

I also doubt his statement, I don't seriously believe that this will be going his last fight either and I can't blame him for making that huge statement because there's almost no hype about this fight and he is just desperate to sell this fight. People already know that he will going to win and maybe almost without a scratch.
2610  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank’s failure on: March 16, 2022, 03:31:28 PM
The banking system is run by the government, every country has its own central banks that regulate the banks both public and private. So any decision is made by the government and in case of sanctions or whatsoever, we have to deal with it.

It's nice to have our money in crypto, but we also cannot deny that crypto does not provide security of our money, therefore, we just have to ensure that we have different options in case things like this would happen so we can still access our funds.

having a bank account and crypto-assets being kept separately is the best decision for me.
2611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: March 16, 2022, 03:02:37 PM
Well, good luck to everyone who's watching and betting today, still have another half to place your bet for those
who are not betting yet.

Yeah, good luck to me because I bet on the Ginebra and the game is very close now, either team could win in this situation, so may the lucky team wins. Fuller vs Brownlee, still Brownlee got a big impact and I hope he'll be able to carry the team.

Congrats to you mate, Ginebra won the game despite the little scare from TNT as they were able to make it a close game.

C. Stand were big in the last quarter, despite getting foul trouble but he was helping in the most important minutes, however, the one that is very consistent from the local is Scottie Thompson, he almost get a triple double and he was very active in both offensive and defensive side.

Scottie had 23 points, 15 rebounds, and 8 assists.
2612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 14, 2022, 02:42:33 PM
So back to this fight, it Tagoe wants to win then he has to test the chin of Garcia again and see if it will hold. So he should be the aggressive early, it's like going in the first couple of rounds. If his experience is their then maybe he can overwhelm Garcia early.

This is not going to be a wise decision I think. This is very risky. If he wants to trade the heaviest of blows in the first couple of rounds, it is more likely that he will be the one to get knocked out first than Ryan Garcia. Ryan Garcia is the stronger puncher between the two. And the first two rounds are when Ryan is at his freshest state. Ryan could knock out Tagoe cold within those rounds. If I were Tagoe, I'd bring the fight to the distance and attempt at a unanimous decision. But all winning approaches are very hard for him of course.

Indeed, getting aggressive in the first few rounds is definitely a bad idea as it may result to a sudden defeat in Tagoe's side. He may want to observe Garcia's movements first before starting his game plan because the chances of surviving while exchanging blows may not be on his side. Tagoe is an experienced boxer than Garcia so I think he knows what to do because he cannot forget the fact that Ryan was once trained by the same person who trained Saul Canelo Alvarez.
2613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 14, 2022, 01:54:08 PM
Looks like the Brooklyn Nets are back on the track, if they can continue winning like this they can climb up to the number 6 team in the Playoff tree which means they don't need to play the crazy Play-In Tournament doesn't really make sense at all. This kind of Durant is what the Nets need because they were thrown close to the garbage since he was injured and they are slowly gaining momentum.

Right, they are on a streak now and just 3 games away from getting the 6th spot from the Cavaliers.
It was a close game because the Knicks are also playing good and doesn't want the Nets to have a wide lead in fear that they will have some struggle to chase it. Durant was the main highlight in that game for scoring a whooping 53 points.
2614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: March 14, 2022, 01:29:08 PM
GGG's age can be his disadvantage but we know what he's capable to do and IMO, except Mayweather, GGG is the only boxer that could possibly pull an upset to Canelo.
That's not a problem because Murata is not a type of fighter that would give GGG trouble, in fact, I believe that it will be the other way around and bookies already know that as evidenced by the betting odds of this fight.

https://www.gamblingsites.org/news/has-date-change-affected-odds-golovkin-vs-murata/
Quote
Golovkin is listed as the -700 favorite in this fight
That's how heavy favorites he is.

I doubt about that, yes GGG have the advantage about ring IQ and experience and per stats but we cannot deny that GGG is slowing down as he's aging every single day while Murata is still hot. Being a heavy favorite will not determine the actual outcome because there's still a lot of factor that needs to be considered.
All I got to say is that while Murata is an underdog, he is also capable and have a chance to upset GGG.
2615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 14, 2022, 12:50:27 PM
I don't think there will be no money in this fight, there will be enough for both, biggest paycheck ever for anyone of them. The hype is still there specially if Spence bet Ugas in his fight. Crawford has been calling him for quite sometime now, it's up to Spence to response back to make this fight happen. We don't want to see him on the downturn of their career before facing each other. It should be in their primes, in the next 2 years.

There's no problem on how much money the fight will generate but the concern is, no one is willing to a 50-50 split. Both camps have a big reason not to make it even and that's not making sense to them. It's really hard to negotiate on that part especially if both boxers have a big name.

Unless one of them will make way for a less split, then that's a good step for the fight to push through. The only time I remember seeing Crawford likely to accept a much less split is when his name becomes a candidate as an opponent to Manny Pacquiao (correct me if I'm wrong here). He accepts that because never in his career he got a chance to have a big fight.

Spence is not willing to take an even 50-50 split on Crawford, he already said that after he won against Danny Garcia.
Quote
"I'm the big dog in the welterweight division,"
"He gotta take a backseat and take that 60-40 [split] or 70-30, whatever we give him.", Spence stated.
Source

The splitting is the most biggest problem and the hardest part while arranging a fight because it will really take a long time as both of the boxer is not willing to take an uneven split especially if both of them have big names like Spence and Crawford.
2616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 14, 2022, 12:25:14 PM
Exactly! Canelo is already used to fight across different divisions, and he is definitely not a beginner in this division. Well except the CW because his fight against Ilunga Makabu did not materialized. Canelo and his team are smart, they certainly won't risk Canelo's career if the chances are slim against Dmitry Bivol and don't forget that Eddie Hearn himself is the brain in this agreement so probably this is a cherry pick before he will face GGG.

Though he knocked out Sergey Kovolev, that was not an easy work for Canelo. Its just that Kovolev gassed out on that fight thus resulted in him being knocked out in the eleventh round. The point here is that Canelo will be having some trouble in the light heavyweight division and Demetry Bivol is not a pushover or we can say that he is not like Kovolev and with that being said, this is going to be a very interesting and exciting fight for Canelo.

Canelo will be facing a bigger fighter, though it's not new to him it's still good to watch a fight that Canelo is not going to dominate every round for sure. I still think that Canelo would win, but I do not think it's an easy one for him, I just love Canelo because of his work in the ring, he is very discipline until he finds an opening to hurt his opening, also his stamina is very impressive.

You're certainly right about that. That's is why Canelo is an impressive boxer because he is so disciplined in his every fight and he doesn't look down on any opponent he face or get so confident, no doubt why he's sitting at the top now.
Canelo knows that Bivol ain't an easy opponent because the latter would not be a champion at his division if he's not that good, and as expected Canelo will start slow in the first few rounds to observe Bivol's movements until he can find that perfect spot.
2617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: March 14, 2022, 12:03:58 PM
Not anymore.

This match isn't going nowhere and not going to happen anymore. It's been said and I think that's already final and Mike is going to do whatever he wants for good.

And he's not going to give any attention for this match so we as fans, don't expect anything anymore and even there's something that happens by surprise, let it happen if it will.
Oh really? Well, I didn't know that, what bad news.

I was so excited to seeing Logan Paul get destroyed by Tyson lol
Even though it's an exhibition fight (possibly), I believe it would be an interesting fight.

Well, I don't know if this fight will actually happen, but I'll be waiting for it to happen, maybe, someday
I think that is what most people were looking forward to, they wanted to see Mike Tyson once again above the ring, but more than anything they wanted to see Tyson destroying Logan Paul for their own entertainment, and even if it was an exhibition fight and Tyson will probably not go at him with everything he has even an old Tyson not going all out is more than enough for most people to handle, and I think Logan Paul was part of that group which would be unable to do anything against Tyson.

We all know that Tyson is a monster in the ring, and every fighter who want to take him down and the outcome is the reverse of the expectations.
Logan Paul can fight against the monster but the big question is can he beat Tyson, can he knock down the monsters?  or the worst thing is he will be the loser in this match.
I still the ability and skill for mike Tyson cause he has already proven for how many years .

Iron Mike already proved that many times when he was still in the industry doing professional fights, Mike attracts many opponent as they also sees him as a trophy and a feat worthy to defeat but almost all of them failed to do it. Heavyweight is a tough division and there's no easy fight on that.
But your question is if Logan Paul can knockout Mike or at least defeat him? Well, we know that Mike is much older than Logan but that doesn't mean that Mike is not capable on taking Logan as he still have the experience and ring IQ that Logan definitely don't have. Clearly and without a doubt, Mike Tyson will win.

As for me, I lost the bet because spread was -3.5 for me and the Nets haven't covered it well, I'm just a point shy from that bet though Grin

Things like that happen, better luck next time, maybe you'll get it right. Nets spread was really tempting, but it turns out a trap for those who took the point spread. Well, maybe next time they'll cover if Irving would play as we can see Durant alone cannot make his team dominate their opponent.

I don't think it's a trap, it that point spread is double digit, then yeah it could be. But -3.5 is really doable. It's that the break of the game didn't favor for the Nets to win big.

Durant has a big game, but the Knicks keeps the game alive and very close up to the final seconds. There is no garbage time, but we can go back to the next game and win.

It's a trap for the Nets because bettors thought that they'll win and would easily cover the spread, but the result was different, Nets won but did not cover the spread. I call it a trap because I have that kind of bet before thinking my team would easily cover but they fail and some even lose in the game.

Maybe if it was -10.5, the people would hesitate on taking but in that situation, the favorites would cover most of the time especially a team that could also compete with them.

The cryptocurrency youtubers are shillers and like any other influencer on social media they offer promotion to new projects and most of them don't research if the project is good or not. They just go for the funds and accept money for Giveaway so as to keep their audience active. I don't think someone should take advise from them in the first place unless they don't know much about cryptocurrency or they depend on them for information and updates.
Well, there are still crypto influencers who are knowledgeable in their field and those proves that they are still worth to be followed. But in most cases nowadays, most of them have turned to be more greedy and more driven with their own profits. So they tend to have less focus on the project that they are promoting and end up shilling only in the market. These are the types of influencers that we need to avoid because they are leading us only to losses because of wrong information. And while its hard to trace whether they are well knowledgeable or not, its better be safe by staying away from them and stand on your own market analysis and predictions.
