Assuming the person(s) placing that ask wall don't:
(1) Have special relationship that allows them to withdraw for some additional fee. (2) Have insider information of an upcoming partnership announcement that resolves all withdrawal issues.
They may still just be betting that the price will fall. They can then re-purchase those bitcoins on Mt Gox at a lower price.
Thus far, that hasn't been working out well for them.
nah, I think its pretty plain and simple: someone is willing to take the risks and just sell. or it could be gox selling their btc stashes at premium prices.

The fact that ~ 6000+ bitcoins have already been listed at an ask price of $145, and fulfilled, should say something. I am not surprised that 6k ask wall was filled, but rather someone actually placed an 6k ask. I find it very risky to sell btc on mtgox.

I see no panic at Gox. It has 4x the 24hr volume now, and buyers have "eaten" through ~ 6000 bitcoins at a $145 ask price in the last 24hrs alone. There's been a lot of resistance more recently on the way up ($145/$146 levels, for example), but the buyers have continued to push through.
panic would bring mtgox price to 200+ in no time. people are smarter then that. smartest among them (whales) bought bitcoins @ 68 $.

Recording daily noon network hashrate, 9/27 topped 1,324,213Gh/s then dropped back yesterday and today is 1,272,428. Could that 9/27 peak have been KnC?
The variation of the network hashrate is not proportional correlated to addition or subtraction of hash generation devices to the Bitcoin network. In other words, the peak you observed could come from devices already working in the network and not from devices added before the peak. Moreover, there is no evidence which indicates that KnCminer had produced any "miner" yet. Now I understand why your ignore button is yellow: people dont like to hear rational explanations.

Why no volume on Bitstamp?
because people are leaving mtgox. the rise on mtgox is just fear, not actual rally.
41292 BTC, liar BTW, support is abysmal right now. 8k buy to $150. 8k sell to $132.50 I think this confirms that this is a rise based on MtGox fear, not good news. [If people are worried their money is fake, then they wont be placing bids.. just market orders.] add to that very low volumes on bitstamp... price is up to 128, but volume is only 4500. no depth neither...

I bought 33 Gh/s there , received a free Ghs during the night.
I didnt receive anything. how do you get a free GH? Deposit over 1BTC and send a message on the support page. got it. thanks.

People might not realize gox doesn't cash out withdrawals, because they're not immediately trying to do withdrawals. They might be saving a bunch of USD (gxd) in their accounts so they can cash out (or buy back) later. Gox doesn't have a wereinsolvent.pdf.
you are expecting wereinsolvent.pdf from gox? market is already well aware of gox fiat withdrawal problems. why would anyone wait to buy back at higher price?

Meanwhile, during the entire $12 run-up on gox, the other exchanges have risen no more than $4. There has basically been no participation since $136. Volume's are low too. What is going on?
one of those mtgox price runs. the price is decoupling. that should answer your question about mtgox leading other markets.

yes, working great!
bought for testing 2 GH, worker activated after 30 sec, already hashing.

It is exactly these evil manipulators who just dump regardless of the market at large and the effects who keep us from realizing the true value of Bitcoin why should I care for the market at large? I am more then happy to sell at this price. And I agree with you: this price has nothing to do with the true value of bitcoin, but you should thank to mtgox for that.

Yes, All your bitcoin belongs to us.
Sell out and walk away. Thanks.
If we hit 130 $ I will sell them all. But I will not walk away. I will just wait for the final price decoupling between mtgox and bitstamp to buy them back cheaper.
your 12 coins will not have much of an effect on the market at large.
I dont care for "the market at large" nor effects. I will just dump.
ppl keep relentlessly dumping on stamp and btce.
every time we pass 125 mark on bitstamp I prepare more coins for a dump from my stashes. will sell them all @ 130.
That spike is due to mtgox volume falling off a cliff. They are trying to divide by zero.
add to that Yifu's refunds for the avalon chips.

Bitcoin will go up...
Once all y'all are convinced it will go down.
and vice versa: it will go down when all are convinced it will go up.
