What a twist! Verstappen has broken gearbox, team must replace it and take the penalty, so he starts from the back. Time to bet on Ferrari?
Bets for Leclerc are now 6.56, tempting! Sainz? 9.52.

And there are chances for rain...

I love the emphasis on reliability that places, adds some dynamic to the race not to let them get away with too much perfection available to the sport.    If it was Hamilton or some of the greats I remember with immense experience I'd say theres a good chance they are capable to place anyway; you have to decide if thats also true for Verstappen or he is someone who needs that perfect scenario with nothing in the way.

we haven't seen a major price recovery

Most likely theres alot more inertia in the price you need to account for, a whole range of users beyond those who first bought so the ongoing turnover vs the initial appearance of this model of token usage.     I dont think its fully possible to judge recovery or not, we can speculate of course.   I think we're ok for the moment, when or if BTC rises back it will put pressure on the price in ratio at least nominally, theres a few dynamics but more time is most likely required for full consideration.
2622  Economy / Speculation / Re: All Eyes On Bitcoin’s Monthly Close on: September 02, 2022, 09:23:04 PM
Monthly close matters, I dont know except in total sum its higher volume so has to be taken seriously as a good indictor for direction over shorter term measures.

Here is my very brief view, not monthly just recently we are in tiny bit of a triangle.  I want to see it break out of this and give us a clue where we go next:

2623  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Bitcoin, Not for everyone. on: September 02, 2022, 08:42:00 PM
Its more what you do with it that matters, just purely holding 1 BTC wouldn't impress me as somebody who  constantly cycling smaller 0.1  amount or less throughout a year in business revenue.  In the end the constant cycle of currency adds up to more and I think its more profitable then purely holding back.
The vast majority of people have to address their debt and outgoings before holding any assets and usually its for a pension which is valid, some have BTC for that and can truly say its long term.
2624  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin do $19k again before a bull market? on: September 01, 2022, 11:43:41 PM
If buying at 19k to hold for far higher prices, theres no real reason not to buy at every price not close to your sell target.   So theres a very common tactic to spread your position over time, if you were to capture the average price for 2022 it wouldnt be such a bad thing; the main qualifier is the overall bullish trend over multiple year time frame.    We're not sure whats reasonable for BTC but about 6 to 10 years is a stock cycle varying by its business, people speculate of course; some will say 4 years for BTC.

The spike down if it comes isnt so important as the overall structure of price action in that entire year.   People do trade many markets fast buy and sell to profit but they also spend all day doing so, its alot of time and effort required most people can just buy a little every month and just consider trajectory from this year to the next.
2625  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the Mt. Gox coins affect Bitcoin’s price in August? on: September 01, 2022, 11:31:26 PM
The release of coins alters liquidity but its not introducing anything new into the total known supply of BTC.    If it was still news that the coins were available then sure that alters something but literally just having BTC moving through the order books is a normal every day event.  Its the difference from day trading to actual alteration of trend or long term expectations.
Its not quite the bearish event to fear that some might think, inversely the same thing has to be said when Musk comes out with news he bought some BTC.   Only the usage is the really positive news for BTC, somebody buying or selling doesnt especially alter anything even if they are billionaire or a larger amount like Mt. Gox.     Whales can get washed up on the shoreline same as everything else in the sea, the entire ocean is far larger and thats how I view the direction of BTC in longer term prospects, tides matter people can only make small waves in comparison.
2626  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: August 31, 2022, 11:19:54 PM
Not exactly a casino but an online virtual asset exchange site so related area of security, csmoney just got compromised.  They say they have recovered and learnt from the vulnerability found in their website that allowed the loss of balance or held assets.   Not quite sure what went wrong, code injection or some trick pulled on them allowed a loss luckily only partial loss in this case so they recovered website and most balances alledgely.
2627  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin bear market over? on: August 31, 2022, 11:09:46 PM
Below 50 day average, the weekly and even 2 day average its not exactly an optimistic looking outlook.   We do have higher lows but also descending highs, so a slight triangle that can breakout either way; wait and see best policy imo.    See how this weekly bar responds, we need to hold levels around here and regain momentum before thinking of a turn around and recovery upwards.    This isnt a full on bear but I wouldnt presume we dont move lower, just not in a regular way so far more sideways.
2628  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why there is so much resistance at $23k price on: August 31, 2022, 12:06:59 AM
The closing weekly bars for end June and start July and the boundary to weeks surrounding was about 19.5k so here about.    I wont bother to post the chart, its purely just observing the closing prices every week; we havent gone lower then this and stayed that low to end the week simple as that.
If it doesnt get some kind of pickup around here because of that prior action and its not strong just historic resistance then we are thrown to the lows for this year.   Either could fail and it goes lower but its just speculation, we dont know any trigger for that weakness beyond the continuing sell in markets.   Theres no good trend trend down as much as we lack any trend up, Im not too fearful just from a lack of positive action just yet.

I sold them when the price was above 60 satoshi. I haven't bought big amount of Fun token after that. I would have faced more losses if I hold those tokens without selling them.

The Tokens give a benefit at any market price, the loss is only realized if selling at that lower price and not rebuying lower.   Over time the token benefit increases.
I did do similar to you except I scaled in and my largest buy was around 20,  I dont mind as much the price variance though obviously Im hoping recovery becomes obvious over time.  I often scale with long term assets that Im unsure of as its not an uncommon situation to occur.   The price variation doesnt alter the usage case so Im not too doubtful on that basis, I know what crypto is like anyhow
2630  Economy / Speculation / Re: I've been confused in BTC on: August 29, 2022, 11:56:37 PM
I am very disappointed with the state of Bitcoin in the current market. Because last week its price was 24000 dollars but now it shows 21 thousand dollars. I want to know from you, is the price of Bitcoin likely to fall further?

Forget the price for your attitude to BTC success, price is more a reflection of dollar and general market conditions, popularity, hype and sometimes just nonsense.   The correct gauge for BTC is things like liquidity in transactions and population growth, generally price will rise the more users we have as more people will retain at least a small balance of BTC.  I believe in the smallest holders far more then the idea of whale buyers who can sell just as easily.
2631  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Resisting the below twenty thousand level on: August 29, 2022, 11:06:12 PM
20k a big round number, that alone could wake up a few buyers but I dont think we have high volume this particular Monday.   Its only the high volume events that really give us the best directional clue as to where we are heading otherwise we tend to drift a bit in speculation ping pong back and forth.     Either that or take the weekly bars and be prepared to wait around alot meanwhile.
We are back above the 2 day average but thats a very fast arbitrary measure, better to take the running weekly average for a sign of some strength that can last with some good inertia.     Last attempt was Friday and we failed with volume there, so now dont be too confident till we regain 21k and hold that price as a low.   We keep above weekly then 50 day average and it can start to develop into a positive market, I think we remain mostly neutral resolving sellers across this range of prices and yea not really Mt. Gox so much as just general market pressures.
2632  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1 - The copycat epidemic within crypto casinos. on: August 29, 2022, 08:30:18 PM
I like the casino where you can change the background colour to anything you like, I forgot which one that is but it was highly customizable.  There is some argument for saying clones with slight variations could be reasonable in not wanting to break what isnt broken and some little change like colour, shading or picture could be all it takes to spark interest from people over another similar casino.   Sometimes people like the feel even if the structure or engine underneath is the same and I think thats part of the industry that at some things are modular and purposely reused.
2633  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: August 29, 2022, 05:45:18 PM
50x returns is not normal really, thats if you happen to pick a previously unpopular token and it goes big.   So Doge coin did sell off to just 1 Sat after it launched but suffered excess supply, it was doubted alot and there was massive reasons for that it was literally a joke.   Somehow by the power of memes, it came back from the dead and this was so unexpected thats how you can say I got 50x but its not normal really.

For FUN I was waiting for it to kinda suffer that feedback loop where it really goes too low but people caught it and it never went past like 17 I think it was which is kinda too low but I didnt buy tons exactly.  At one point I accidentally doubled my holding, I was like sleepy and opps went up the tiers like it offers by default and of course I can sell immediately if I want;  I figured it was serendipity and roughly speaking timing was right to match a low kind of flow in that particular market.   Accidentally I was right, not a big speculative thing I know people bet really big but Im spread over alot of pies not just one thing not even just crypto, cool anyway and I'll generally hold because I do benefit from the whole premium thing.
2634  Economy / Economics / Re: EU countries agree deal to cut use of gas this winter on: August 29, 2022, 03:20:18 PM
There isnt a solution possible in that short time frame but they can mitigate the worst effects.   So simply not heating housing separately but getting as many poor and/or elderly people to share a heated room, take part in activities together for 8 hours a day throughout winter.  Just that simple measure can greatly reduce the worst fallout of not having enough gas for heating available.
It doesnt have to absolute miserable or negative, people coming together can feel alot like a positive so I say it will be a mix of effects.  Eventually Germany or other highly dependent countries will find their feet, people generally flip to extremes in their reaction and feat the absolute worst.  We do hope for a mild winter of course.
2635  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin the best investment at the moment? on: August 29, 2022, 04:45:05 AM
BTC is one of the best but not the best and certainly in some time frames it looks bad but considering it gives some alternative to plain currency its worth having.   Some countries are suffering double digit losses to the value of their currency in just one month so having an alternative available to use worldwide seems more then sensible.   Since inflation also applies to dollar that largely means it applies to every country of the world so I wont call plain BTC investment but its certainly viable as a hedge or insurance to national currency which are in the majority poor at retaining value longer term.

No confirmation sites.
Any site to allows you to gamble with nonconfirmed coins is vulnerable to a double-spend attack. People could wager their balance and if they win then waits for the transaction to confirm, and if they lose they could make a double spend, that's a known vulnerability.

I've used sites with no confirm required and you could purchase but the main difference was the delivery of goods or services was not immediate. If I had pulled this trick, I could not benefit as the item I buy was not delivered to me immediately.  For gambling it sounds an obvious disaster, Im surprised we are talking about more then one site which allowed this for any amount of time.    The fault might be that BTC has had fees far too high and encouraged risk taking by websites on this point.
2637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 28, 2022, 09:56:27 PM
Surprised Liquid are doing so well, the newer additions to the team must be helping alot to bring them together again.

G2 very nearly wiped out Vitality in 2 maps after an epic come back on Dust2.    Since the odds are well over 2x for a win on Mirage for them and both of these teams are not well rated on Mirage, I think anything can happen and I'll take the bet for an upset.  Niko or Monsey is enough to win but they are all doing good work.
Last matchup they did get wrecked by Vitality on Inferno and Vertigo so the biased odds are justified I guess.  However more relevant might be 14:16 vs Navi a week ago on Mirage, the 3rd map now
2638  Economy / Economics / Re: Satellite data finds landfills are methane 'super emitters' on: August 27, 2022, 11:50:56 PM
landfills is somewhat 'necessary' and that there isn't anything we can do

Point is we can do something and refine the rubbish better.  Methane can be captured and used for energy, presently we release it and dont bother with the process of intelligent use of rubbish.  Its obviously easier to bury it and hope it goes away but we've known for many decades gas will appear with waste and it can be reused for power etc.        The extra info now is this gas is especially destructive when it reaches the upper atmosphere.
2639  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin bear market over? on: August 27, 2022, 03:51:45 AM
Cant be over when its looking so jagged as this.

We try to beat the weekly average and fall down through the ground support we had previously, thats pretty severe looking at best.   Seems we have to contend with 20k before reassembling ourselves for future fights.  Still its not the end of the world, we just went in a circle for last month or so and now we're very likely back to repeat that prior low instead of building constructively.   If its a bear it has honey and isnt too mad till stung  Tongue
2640  Economy / Speculation / Re: Countertrading Jim Cramer on Bitcoin on: August 27, 2022, 03:14:56 AM
He is a bit of a weather vane in showing a popular sentiment on many stocks but I think he is exactly trying to achieve that and hence be part of that TV show with its little meme soundboard he has.    Theres no way to exactly do the opposite of him and do well, he isnt that reliable and some of what he says is just buy oil or related companies.
I think to counter Cramer would be to be a contrarian which is definitely a valid strategy.

In 2008 he did say it would blow up, it just wasnt good consistent advice.   Being boring and safe is not his thing, I'm not defending him just across the range of buttons he presses I think he did express the view that there was more then a little trouble in the market (a few people did say  this, March '08 I was reading an article for the Exters triangle take on why September onwards in markets would occur).  If he said failure every day for 6 months it'd be correct but not much of a show, '08 summer there was a good rally so many were buying up.  Cramer is like a stock magic 8 ball
