maybe you need to do a whole computer restart to get the wallet working or close a process
Wallet crashes for me too. Once the wallet crashes, close the wallet and instead of rebooting, try this: -Press the WIN+R keys -Type the path below in the dialog box and hit OK: C:\ProgramData\boost_interprocess -Delete all the folders located in that directory -Start the wallet again It should start without crashing. |

It's not cheap, multipools are making big profits by mining and selling this coin. No matter if price is 2500 of 1200, multipools still get profit.
That's why I don't understand why everyone always makes it a priority to get new coins added to exchanges as fast as possible. First multipools add enormous hash to the network increasing the diff making new coins difficult to mine and then they just dump the coins. |

Clearing The Air Around The SHIBE Coin...some words from the developerGreetings. I thought I would write a few thoughts to help clear the air around the release of our coin The Shibe Coin. The amount of interest in this coin and the way it has exploded after launch far exceeded expectations and has been great fun. But, I have also been somewhat saddened by the tremendous amount of FUD being purveyed much of which is pretty far off base or flat out wrong. It is particularly saddening to me because I have fixed a lot of your pet coins behind the scenes, and built so many windows wallets for devs that couldn't be bothered to read the documentation in their own repos or who just couldn't get the build process to work. And so to me it is a bit of a slap in the face when I have tried to put something cool together for the community, to then read so much FUD on the forums and in IRC some spread by folks that I have bailed out in the past. I'd like to address a few topics that I think need clarification, and provide a glimpse into our plan for the future.First, with regards to DOGE, I think we need to set aside any adversarial nonsense and conjecture of that sort. SHIBE is not a ripoff of DOGE, it is not intended as a competitor to DOGE, it is supposed to be complementary to DOGE. I mined DOGE from launch, DOGE has been very good to me, the idea with SHIBE was to offer a PoS coin done right as a complementary coin to DOGE which has been more of a tipping coin and every day trade coin. SHIBE is intended to have more of a business and trading focus. It is well intentioned and not some biting brand dilution scheme. Second, as far as AC and this supposed BTER statement, we are absolutely not associated with AC. Indeed, part of my motivation for pushing this coin out was because I lost a lot of money on AC and I knew I could do a good proof of stake coin. I rented rigs and mined that coin at a loss at launch, and bought up more because I thought it was going to be a hit and then I went to bed. And then I woke up the next morning to find that we all got burned. Third, there has been some FUD about a wallet address supposedly holding some enormous amount of "instamined" funds. This address was our launch pool wallet. We had about a dozen miners on the pool at launch, that grew to maybe a couple dozen at a time shortly thereafter. Some people rented big rigs, I rented a modest amount of hash. The devs do not hold big wallets like some of the big investors in the coin who went big with hash or bought up the market. I'm not really in this coin to get rich off of a coin launch, I'm in it to build a platform. My vision really is for SHIBE to be a vehicle for a lot of other ideas, and to be an inclusive community with other coins like Blackcoin, DOGE, etc. Every coin needs to have a purpose and a reason for existing, a niche in the market. To me coins like Blackcoin and Unobtainium are in the luxury niche, Blackcoin has exceptional branding that has a prestige and luxury feel and is the kind of coin I could see using to buy luxury watches and that sort of thing, at least thats what it is to me. Doge is the fun coin that doesn't take itself serious that you can mine and tip around to your friends without thinking about it too much. Doge got me started with mining cryptos. Quark is the coin that won't stop ticking with the unstoppable community that had great publicity at the end of last year. And many others. SHIBE is the coin for innovation, trading and wealth storage, the coin that drives the development of crypto solutions in the scene.There are a bunch of things in the works for SHIBE that have been held somewhat close to the vest as we want to have sites and information ready first and frankly we want to get through the pure PoS transition before turning our attention to these programs. I'll note a few of these in brief, more detailed information will be forthcoming in the coming week. First, is the SHIBEX Fund. The concept is to do something similar to the Winklevoss's fund for Bitcoin but on a much smaller scale, providing micro investments and technical and management guidance to help foster growth in the ecosystem. You can follow @SHIBEXF on Twitter for now and watch for further announcements. Second, is Shibidends. This is a dividend program that will pay out to SHIBE users from a goodwill fund funded by participating vendors. We have an exchange and a payment solution in progress that will participate in the fund. A portion of the fees from these is going to be set aside as goodwill to reward the community using SHIBE. Unlike other programs you don't need to register for anything or buy anything. It will be like a stake on your stake. These are projects by the dev team to support SHIBE. In addition we also have the Shibe Council representing the community and guiding the evolution of the coin. The dev team behind this coin has a lot of professional experience and is committed to the long term support and growth of the ecosystem. Best wishes, Energion Doge is a great coin with a community. This is just a cheap copy for the dev to cash in on and offers nothing, just like 100 other clone alts with no long term plan. Great job on the relaunch. Glad to see it work out for the best. Is the minimum stake age still 2 weeks, with no maximum age? It's not noted in the OP.

If you have a runtime error :
We're working on it and 2 outside devs as well.
If everything goes well we'll get it fixed before tomorrow night, this only affects windows precompiled QT. Also, the whole team haven't slept for about 24 hours so expect a 6-8 hours pause in a few hours.
See the OP for the solution in the meantime and avoid using debug console, use daemon instead.
Where can you find the Windows daemon? It's not include with the Windows-qt archive. |

Guys i found a fix. Right click the .exe select comparability mode. Select win xp service pack 3. Working fine no errors  Dev want to donate me some coins?  Have you tried typing getmininginfo in the RPC console? Can you do that without it crashing? |

It worked for me on the 2nd time until I when to the debug console and typed "getmininginfo" then the error occured again. It now happens everytime i open it. I even tried to delete the appdata folder excluding my wallet.dat of course. I have the same problem on Windows 8.1 x64. The only way I can get the wallet to run again after it crashes is to restart the whole system. Never had to do that for a wallet before. Sorry badam I misread because for us ninja launch is not good. Everything is ready but we felt raising awarness for 2 days was the right move to get a better distribution at launch. That,s why you wont have good distribution. Pos/pow coins are now the hit and there will be gigahashes mining on the coin right from the moment and only a few asic owners and big gpu farm owners will benefit from it and you will remain without supporters because that is the miner thype who is just dumping it at first exchange. Short minning period, so you will get only dumpers and a coin without any support but you will see this yourself. What do you think bc, wc, shibe, cinni why was ninja launched? Pre anned pow/pos coins are without support, just sayin  False. BC and Cinni were both launched with pre announcements. WC and Shibecoin were obvious scams that launched unannounced. Ninja launches only benefit those that are aware of them before the launch, mainly the dev. |

Was the wallet build on a x32 system?
It was compiled on 64 bit windows. And the wallet crashing on first launch is not a big deal, what's a bit more annoying is when it crashes in the debug console and you have to restart... Our devs are also still looking at this and we have 2 outside devs on it. It is a big deal! The only way I can get the wallet running again after it's crashed is to restart the whole system. I've never had to do that for ANY wallet before. |

Just a little update from the team :Everything seems to go smoother now, and it's not the pool's fault if the confirm it is set to 350 (blackcoin as an example is 500) and block time is 1 min so it may appear slow if you're used to 10 sec block times & such. Our devs are still working, as the community team is answering messages (the limit of 5 per hours makes the process a bit slow..) so if you still haven't got an answer from us don't worry it will be soon we answered to all the wallet error messages in priority. Be ready to buy all the dumped coins on the exchange because low prices won't stay long  . An update on the wallet crashing on launch. I tried the wallet on several other Windows xp/7 x86/64 machines and VM's and they all crashed with the same runtime error upon first launch. Launching the wallet again after it crashed or deleting the APPDATA folder did nothing to solve the problem. Upon restarting my Windows 8.1 x64 machine I was able to run the wallet without it crashing, but as soon as I entered getminginfo in the RPC console, it again crashed and won't launch again without crashing until the system is restarted again. So it seems you have to restart the system in order to get the wallet working again after it's crashed. |

Those that are not having a problem launching the wallet on Windows, are you running a 32 or 64 Bit OS? I suspect the problem some are having may be because the wallet was compiled on a Windows 32-Bit machine.

The wallet crashes immediately upon launching on Windows 8.1 x64. It has nothing to do with the rpc console, relaunching or deleting the APPDATA folder. None of those solve the runtime error caused by a bad compile.  |

KNOWN BUG: if wallet does not start from first time, ignore error and try again
And the rpc error is triggered if : -you close solo miner before closing wallet -you type 'help' or a non existant command in debug console So it's not that hard to avoid just for today. If it's triggered you'll have to reboot your computer and this affects only windows and it will be solved before tomorrow night. Go read the BC launch thread. No one was complaining about the wallet. The reason your wallet crashes is because it was compiled by amateurs. |

IF you get an error just RELAUNCH the wallet. Exactly the same as blackcoin.
AND read the part in OP about the bug in debug log in windows wallet if you crash its because you typed wrong commands into the Debug console u'll have to restart your computer to properly close the process of the QT.
As for linux compile we just compiled it with no problems on two different computers.
40 MH at the moment.
100% BS. I was there for the BC launch and the wallet had no issues with crashing at all. The wallet crashing has nothing to do with relaunching it, it's simply a bad compile made by amateurs. |

Just like CofeeCoin, this coin is a SCAM. Without a public list showing the amounts distributed to members like BCC coin, or a plan for what will be done for the coins that go unclaimed, there is no way to know how many coins the 'dev' is keeping for himself. Previous giveaway coins that relied on forum members age to distribute the coins, like CommunityCoin had a hard time finding members with 50+ more posts to participate. Since the biggest rewards are allocated for the fewest number of members that will participate, the 'dev' will wind up keeping the majority of the coins.
The IPO in this one just makes this one even worse. Not only will the 'dev' keep the majority of the coins to dump the second it hits an exchange, he also gets to keep the BTC from anyone stupid enough to 'invest' in this scam. Given the success CoffeeCoin had in getting listed quickly, I suspect this model will be a new coin scam trend. It's sad that people here just blindly go along and support these scams as long as they feel they are getting something for nothing.

I'm just gonna say a little bit in response to the constant argument being spread in the thread - Shibecoin has been analyzed through and through, to a higher degree of scrutiny than just about any new coin in recent memory. I think this is a great thing - the bar has been set awfully low by poor quality developers in the past. This is why the coin devs are happy to have been subjected to the scrutiny, and this is why the coin has been shown to be 100% legit after countless analyses and investigations. But it's time to move on. The coin is moving into its Proof-of-Stake phase soon, and Shibecoin will show the naysayers beyond any doubt that happens when talented developers and a talented community come together to work toward something great. Only an idiot would call this a '100% legitimate coin'. A legitimate coin has a long term plan that is posted in well advance so people can see what the coin is about. This is just a cheap Doge copy for the dev to cash in on and offers nothing, just like 100 other clone alts with no long term plan. The ninja launch with 56 blocks insta-mined before the announcement and the highest blocks rewards at the start make that obvious. As soon as the PoW is over, they will cash in and this coin will be forgotten as quick as it started. To release this shitcoin the same day as Doge was introducing their NASCAR team shows how classless they are in their attempt to make a quick profit. |
