2621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: June 06, 2021, 08:22:17 PM
if Ramos, the main pillar of Real Madrid's defense, leaves Real Madrid, their defense will become even weaker. Real Madrid will not find an experienced defender like Ramos now
I think Ramos is one of the best ever defender he has played for so many years he is grilled in what he knows, but I think there is a time for teams to let that player than want to leave go, I don't know real Madrid reserve player but I think the going of ramos can be the the realisation of another younger defensive maestro now that Real Madrid has over aged players, they can beginning to give trust in younger reserved players who may be cost efficient and performance on the field productive.
2622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did you fall for the current dip and sell off on: June 06, 2021, 08:08:10 PM
Honestly wanted to ask and to discovered the newbies among us. i though of creating a vote but it is not Necessary.  i really wanted to ask if there are members of this community that sold off during the last dip thinking that the market has crashed. alot of friends kept complaining that bitcoin and alts will go deep down and it will take months before coming back.

Really wanted to find out people that lost their grip and sold off. what really was your main reason for NOT holding...
There reasons should be
+ Fear, panic
+ Needs
+ News
+ Target -sell of when it goes lower than _ or above _
+ Period
And more.
Newbies or non newbies many sold of at this time, not only selling off some may never buy crypto-currency again, because the think it's pressure it exert on them is to much, I didn't even think of the market dropping, I only saw to buy more crypto-currency.
2623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest on alts suggestion on: June 06, 2021, 07:57:20 PM
I am plaaning to invest on alts 2024. For the moment i keep my usdt. I am thinking that these coins still at higher prices , they  will sure more 80-90% down.

How about your views?
Let's agree 2024 is your basic target to start investing in alt-coins, but when did you start to keep the capital, when did you assume that this amount would be used for inviting in alt-coin if it's anything around early this year or late 2020 then you missed out on something exciting, your thoughts are that alt-coins would drop on or before 2024, but it could also see the all time high bull run.
2624  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Covid-19 carrying the growth in digital currencies? on: June 06, 2021, 07:45:02 PM

As a result of Covid -19, in payment preferences, Many companies and authorities around the world are increasingly looking at digital currencies as an alternative way to make transactions in digitalized world. So guys what do you think about ? How will be easy the day today life after adopting for digital currencies?
I am up for the adoption, but there are other cashless ways at the footsteps of people trying to transact to prevent contracting the covid 19 pandemic by the touch of Physical Money contact.
Bitcoin would only be more reason to continue with Crypto-currency for people who are already excited about it.
Covid 19 is just the disease scare awareness of not going cashless, and going cash less means not using, Note/coin or physical trade exchange and of course crypto-currency.
2625  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador plan to make BTC legal tender on: June 06, 2021, 02:28:24 PM
This is a great news, and if actualized it may bridge the gap between government and bitcoin, although this topic was posted on the bitcoin discussion earlier. Here is the link

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5133015.msg57167333#msg57167333
And since then I have been following the news update, and as of now I don't think it has been passed into law, but just the enthusiasm from the El Salvador president is a good encouragement for bitcoiners especially those in that country.
2626  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earning your first merit on: June 06, 2021, 11:03:47 AM
send message in forum and earn merit
Sending messages in forum will not get you anything but total disgust on you from those you sending the messages to, especially when you don't have anything quality before sending the messages for merit, road to merit has shortcut, breaches but one thing am sure of is there is no long-term achievement from doing all that.
How do you sustain the continuous messages some members will ignore your account, merit is gotten by doing right, that which will get you merit.
2627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Many Different Coins Do You Own? Me = 11 on: June 05, 2021, 10:23:46 PM
Good to own crypto-currency, as long/short investment, but do we own crypto-currency because we think it's better or safer to have more than one coins, I don't think so, actually am scared to own an alt-coin, for now I haven't gotten any yet, I only own bitcoin, so meaning I own only one coin, which may stay like that for sometime, seen some good coin that got me doing pro and cons on them, coins like BNB and dogecoin but still yet to decide, but they would be part of my other coin aside bitcoin if I were to have any.
2628  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies panicking. on: June 05, 2021, 10:12:29 PM
The smart money market needs it since it their way to shake them out and be profitable the next time it goes back up again. Of course we can't change that fact if they panic but I guess it's a must for them to be educated regarding the game of crypto market and how volatile it is
I don't know what everyone else think, but to me, if some newbies was taught about bitcoin, and cryptocurrency volatility and not a wealth maker, many of them won't have been here in the first place, so am not surprised when I see newbies panicking at the market fall.
So a early coaching about cryptocurrency to Newbies would reduce the amount of naive/panicking newbie which means more than half of them
2629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 04, 2021, 08:42:45 PM
I think inter Milan are not ready to carry on from this just ended season, and try to  stamp there badge in the leadership of Italian football next season, am shocked that Conte is leaving and I have no excitement that inzaghi is replacing him, it wasn't a very dominant season for inter Milan, many of their rivals didn't turn up heat on inter Milan, and Conte help the team together, needed to see them interrupting the old lady Juventus on their constant consecutivel
League title, would have wanted to see Conte against Jose Mourinho when inter Milan and Roma meet.
2630  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: History of the name bull and bear market on: June 04, 2021, 06:43:17 PM

I'm not sure how definitive your estimation of bear and bull being based off the animals fully as "bear" actually looks similar to "fear" too (and a fearful market is normally a dropping one)...
Same here I don't no the basis of how the name came about but if it was animal then both words -bull and bear -should stand for the same thing.
Yes trader a good one at that can earn profit from their Trading even at the bull market, but for trading in general people are excited about it all more during a bull run, I had so many people taking up Trading course I am also in more during the bull run, but when things came down their number dropped as well, I think when the market is at bull season their is a flourish Especially for newbies traders.
2631  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you done listening to Elon ? on: June 03, 2021, 08:34:52 PM
So now that bitcoin is recovering well from it's drop we can expect a bull run again.
We all know how Elon pumped and then dumped the market through his influential tweets.
This what happens when people listen to others blindly and invest.
DYOR (Do Your Own Research) is the approach that everyone should follow.
Don't panic sell. There will be many such waves and many such influential people who might try to manipulate the market again.
HODL has always proved to be strong.

Why this thread ? - It's more like a wake up call to newbies and all those who blindly follow others.

P.S : I voted for 3rd option
I think the market automatically becomes a judge, most panic sellers, -sold at bear, sold out of fear, sold because of influence- will become Panic buyers -buy at bull, buy out of excitement of the bull, buy become is seems to be invoke- I think an experience of this better explains to newbies to hold and not selling in panic just to follow it up bull market time later.
I have heard many people some in a conversation and every time it's exciting knowledge I get from them, such people -and we have them in the forum- to me may have more knowledge than Elon musk but Elon musk is only popular.
2632  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Bitcointalk Urban Achievers Merit Scholarship Program on: June 03, 2021, 03:59:09 PM

I don't know your future plans for this idea, but I hope it one idea that is embedded in the fabrics of the forums, so that not just the presents benefitting from it, it would serve long term purpose on the forum.
2633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Red crypto market today on: May 30, 2021, 08:00:11 PM
I still learning my crypto-currency Trading, at this moment I haven't traded with real money, but my mentor isn't complain about the current market situation affecting his crypto-currency Trading, and not just him, Alot of traders are making profits now in the bear market.
I think your strategies are not working so well or May be the signals you use.
As for crypto-currency trading it still can be profitable even in the bearish market, am hoping for corrections where necessary and adding the knowledge to my trading career.
2634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you get your news about Crypto? on: May 30, 2021, 07:31:24 PM
I have been reading coin telegraph and I have no problems with it, I think any news they give is always about crypto-currency and also they are quite on time meaning they not often give expired news, am not also limited to coin telegraph on news website, I get news and thought on the news from some reputable people, I emphasis on the reputable, because we have many claiming that, this people has channel, account or groups and they give enough news with analysis, am not going to mention them but you can research on them.
2635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 30, 2021, 04:36:49 PM
I will not say much other than pensive watching Chelsea celebrate the victory in the final yesterday. I don't think Manchester City played badly because during the game they had chances to score but luck was not on their side. Guardiola's strategy in the final may be questioned a lot because it looks different from before until reaching the final. Everything was not as expected and they failed to win this title for the first time.
Actually they - Manchester city- has never won this title this is their first final and this would be Chelsea second time to win it in three champions league final. I don't have any fault With Manchester city, and I think no credit should go away from Chelsea by bringing luck into it. Ngolo kante for amazing and very exciting in the match, I think he was the difference between the two teams.
I don't know but I feel tuchel did a good background study of Manchester city and pep more than any other English club before come to the bridge, and it's paying off for Chelsea, can Chelsea win the premier league? I think so.
2636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does Bitcoin help stop the funding of wars? on: May 30, 2021, 04:12:40 PM
Many government has funded wars, rebels terrorist to causing chaos and catastrophe. Even dating back to the time of the Roman empire. So fast forward the present time and such funding will still be going on, in any way they can.
Bitcoin is not a security agency, nor is it an agency for the promotion of crime, it just a digital currency which has it primary usage and goals, but like many projects people find a way of using it alternatively, nothing is perfect not even bitcoin.
2637  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whales and the bull/bear market on: May 30, 2021, 01:21:13 PM
The whales has many ways to swing us into a bear market yes they can, and not only in crypto-currency, in companies those with the highest share to the company can really set the fate of that company really fast.
But I don't think the whales would use selling of their bitcoin to create a bear market, when they can continue use influences from themselves, and the news, even to the government, like recently claims going around that the Chinese government play part in the immediate bear market. The whales are
+ Patient, tolerating
+ Has the money backing.
+ Influences
+ Capitalize on bleeding market
+ Futuristic people.
2638  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin could win the currency war on: May 30, 2021, 01:10:49 PM
Literally when fiat stated to fall the price of Bitcoin will increase in terms of fiat value and also most the fiat started to fall due to the economic crash that is why they even wanted to make their own tokens before people moving towards decentralization.
I don't doubt this, on recent when the governor of the central bank of my country, Nigeria was called to answer why the institution placed a ban in crypto-currency in the country, as usual there was a defence from him, -although garbages of how crypto-currency has been the cause if so many crimes, fall or naira the country currency and so many more- but the real reason being the hate for Bitcoin, he also added that the central bank of Nigeria are in place in bringing out their own digital currency for the country, I am certainly not excited about this development, because it can't be decentralized.
2639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Singapore Police Say Crypto-Related Crimes Keep Rising across the Country on: May 30, 2021, 08:41:18 AM
"The Singaporean police have reported that cryptocurrency-related crimes have skyrocketed since 2018, and the uptrend does not seem to be slowing down. According to The Straits Times, around 393 reports were made last year amid the coronavirus crisis of cases involving crypto frauds, cheating, among others, which is more than three times the figures of 2019.

Additionally, the authorities pointed out that just 125 complaints were filed with the police, representing another surge from the 15 reported in 2018. Furthermore, between 2018 and 2020, criminals stole $29 million during these crypto-related crime cases."

Discuss.
I think the main reason that crypto-crimes will increase is because people takes a jet above trying to research on cryptocurrency, also that thinking of crypto-currency making them overnight wealth, this would make you vulnerable to scammers.
The cryptocurrency and anyother crime rate would keep increase as long as people wants to earn, and with the pandemic making people lose their source of income, they become relegated to desperation.
2640  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are scammers getting dumber? Or is it people they aim for are so naïve? on: May 30, 2021, 08:31:15 AM
Almost every day I read a topic of someone been scammed out of money. Well, this is a course of life and scams will exist as long as exists human race. What makes me laugh though is methods scammers use lately. Nothing inventive, not even an attempt to make it look legit. "Successful trader will make you 50% in an hour". "BTC refund department". "BTC doubler". And dozens of others so obvious one has to be a newborn baby to fall for. I wouldn't be surprised if  soon there will be messages from "BTC Support Department" or anything along these lines. How can anyone sane fall for this?

I received a call from my "bank support line" a while ago. Now these people were real con artists, they had all my data, used correct chat scripts etc. It all sounded so legit I almost missed the moment they asked me for SMS confirmation code, at which point I realized it's a scam. Not being sympathetic to these guys but at least they were highly professional and inventive scammers, unlike those I mentioned above.
I don't think does who falls for this scam are in sane, I really don't blame them, but the news outlets, and other real professional who claim to do so much in very small time, these scammers are just seeing what the real professionals are doing and what's on the news, then activate greed in those that are looking on there page, channel or account, the format may look cheap but these guys can really have fake proof, statements to work on those who contact them.
Sophisticated or not, scammers are everywhere and anyone can be scammed, everyone has to bundle away greed and deadly curiosity without research.
