2621  Economy / Reputation / Re: Assessment, user yahoo62278 [Yobit Scam Manager] on: October 15, 2021, 05:13:43 AM
Is the irony lost on you that you're doing the same thing that you're accusing yahoo of doing? Aka, promoting fraudulent services?

This is just one solid example of many that 1xbit are known to be, at the very least, selective scammers:

Bandai Namco cut ties with WePlay after they sign deal with fraudulent betting company 1xBET

So... what is your point exactly?
2622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: October 15, 2021, 03:49:02 AM
Damn, that was a close one, won it by the skin of my teeth.

The same thing happened 2 weeks ago when the Bucs played the Pats... They won but didn't quite cover.

Don't know if any of you guys are podcast fans but I remember Bill Burr saying he bet on Tom Terrific to cover, even though he's a giants Pats fan. So that way even if the Pats lost, he'd still win the bet. Of course neither ended up happening, which means the line has been pretty darn accurate with them.
2623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: October 15, 2021, 02:54:06 AM
I haven't been imbibing many beverages lately, but I must have been sniffing paint and not remember it because I ended up taking the Eagles at +7.

Since I came back to the states I discovered seltzer beer and have been all over that Michelob Lime Cucumber, or whoever makes it. I also like the White Claw grapefruit quite a bit... It may lead to lower testosterone levels but I still enjoy the shit out of it.

2624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: October 14, 2021, 10:28:58 PM
I think it comes down to Roger Goodell taking out an enemy. Wink

I feel the same way. But "at the end of the day" the NFL can do whatever the f it wants, coming close to firing people for no reason at all, other than ratings could potentially be affected if they don't.

You're right about the Raiders continuously getting bum raps too. Even if Gruden was still there I don't think Carr is the wunderkind necessary to carry them to the playoffs (playoffs??). I was wondering if the line was gonna punish them this week but at +3 vs. the Broncos, I think that's pretty fair. Might end up taking the Broncs.

What do you guys think about tonight's matchup? Is today finally the day to bet against Tom Brady?
2625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 'Who's Buying this Shit?', Episode #1: AXS on: October 14, 2021, 10:13:05 PM
Welcome to the first episode of an original series that takes an in-depth look into the question that crypto investors have pondered for nearly a decade now: "Who is buying this shit, and why?"

W̶̫̞͔͝h̶̨̢͎͍̟͂̂͛͜ͅo̸̢͈͓͓͚̜͇̺͆̌̾̋͘ͅ'̵̱̻̩̘͈̥̻́̏̒̈͑̔̓̌̒ṣ̷̳̟͉̣̝̯̼̮͈̓͑̀̅͒͒̆͊ ̷̰̲̠̩̖̱̮̥́̂̿͋̓͠͝B̴̨̛̞̪͍̯̘͓̘̥̈́̇̑̀̕u̵̪̳̯͔̜̳͒̀̅̍̎̔̒̓̀͜͠y̶̢͉̮̱̺͎̞̮̞͒̇ḯ̸͈͓̭͍̟̫̩͈͌͌̒n̷̗̰͕̘̻̤͚͕̖̱̑̄́g̴̡̧̭͈̣̺͊̄ ̵̺̱͈̪̓̾̆̐̏̀̓̆̚T̴͎͇͂̂͑͊͂̕͝h̵͎͍̭̲̾̋̅̀̈́̃ĩ̵̗̼͉͚́̈̑̾̚ş̴̨̖̝͊́̿͋͒͑̽͜ ̸͍͓͈͖̟̗͆͂̋̈́͑͒̀̌̇̈́͜S̷̡͉̻͎̭̗̫͕̉̚͜͝h̶͔̦̲̀̈́̓i̴̦͈̰̥̞̮̳͊t̵̢͔̖͔͙̼̏̾̎̐̀͗̿̈́̽?̷̢̝͓̩͚̝̉̿͒̆

Episode I: AXS

Today we take a look at the Axie Infinity governance token, AXS. One year ago, the price of AXS was 17 cents, today it is $135.67, up 12% in the last 24 hours, which squarely tops BTC at only 0.4% upward.

A smash hit that is redefining blockchain use cases as we know them - and certainly responsible for introducing a new breed of crypto user to the markets - Axie Infinity has the graphics and gameplay mechanics of a top-notch mobile game... for 2014.

Despite being a bit on the boring side and completely irrelevant to actual videogamers, the game drives a multi-billion dollar economy, largely based on the premise of "play to earn."

I get it that play to earn works when you have an element of players who want to play the game for fun and not money, and some of them are willing to purchase goods from grinders (basically). And its a really good thing when it does work.

But with the price of SLP (the token earned by grinders and sold to Axie breeders) having tanked in the latter half of this year and the game not standing the chance of attracting the wider gaming community, it begs the question:

Already at an $8.2 billion market cap, at $135 per AXS, who is buying this shit??

Thoughts from the audience?

2627  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 13, 2021, 11:25:37 PM
Doubt I would do a 9-5 job at that point though

One of the biggest improvement Bitcoin has brought to my life is helping me to exit the rat race in its entirety. I wake up when I damn please, only do work I want to do, and can't imagine how people still live otherwise. I think its added back years to my lifespan.
2628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another attempt at Bitcoin ETF..You knew it was coming once BTC raised above ATH on: October 13, 2021, 10:10:13 AM
I could care less about the Bitcoin ETF at this point, there's so many things out there that are already very similar. If somebody really cared they could invest in those already. But really ETF is just a psycho-trigger for "number go up" and I find that mantra dreadfully boring by now.

If Bitcoin surpasses ATH before the end of year, its because it was time.
2629  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin failed at $58,000 and dropped by more than $3K in a day. on: October 13, 2021, 10:06:33 AM
The world must be ending, sell everything now because Bitcoin isn't apocalypse-proof. Some people think you might need things like silver, bullets and gas for barter after the revolution begins but they're wrong. It's actually chickens. People never know how much they need chicken until its too late.
2630  Other / Meta / Re: Merit cycling club? on: October 12, 2021, 11:51:27 PM
Why you guys trying to interrupt my primary cash flow. I have the alleged videotape in my possession, don't worry about it. It's not pretty but thanks to today's video editing freeware I can make it look almost professional, just added a soft lens filter and cut some jump scenes.

Here's a silhoutted still from the movie, to prove that I have the goods.

The Merit Cycling Club is only one head of a hydra, all of which pay kickbacks to me for not uploading the video to YouPorn. The second component is a merit-themed restaurant, which has done quite well for itself.

I found Foxpup's new restaurant and took a picture of it.

She may need to design a new avatar to promote it, its worth it as the food is quite delicious. I especially enjoyed the 2 merit discount. You pay 2 merits, get 20% off your bill, and one merit gets cycled back to you.

I am sure Satoshi would be proud of all of you.

LOL, touche.
2631  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake.com lying and cheating its "VIP" customers on: October 12, 2021, 11:32:11 PM
I'm clearly not the only one who ever saw that phrase: https://imgur.com/a/BcqPXUD

OK fair enough, that's enough to convince me that it did say that at one point. So now it becomes a batter of determining what you were actually owed. It seems to me like they dropped you some VIP level (I don't know how it works) and are asking you to re-establish yourself to get back to it. If you dropped out of their Platinum Membership standing then the reload policy wouldn't apply to you.

I dunno if they demote VIP members or what, and I'm not trying to take their side, just stating what might be the obvious.

I couldn't find language in the terms of service that mentions their reload policy, or where the "reload site" mentioned was.
2632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you quit Bitcoin if a shitcoin like Ethereum surpassed it? on: October 12, 2021, 11:01:03 PM
I would quit Bitcoin for Litecoin Cash right now.
That doesn't mean that I don't like Bitcoin, it's just more opportunity in LCC right now, in my opinion.

Do you honestly believe that has the potential for long-term adoption, or is it just another get-rich-quick scheme?

I might have been with you, up to the point of "... Litecoin ..."

To me LTC is a superior form of currency over BTC because it is much quicker and faster to send. If I wanted to move a large amount of wealth, I would probably do it with BTC, however. Still, Bitcoin's expensiveness doesn't preclude it from usability, obviously; it simply remains the gold standard against which all other crypto is measured.
2633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you quit Bitcoin if a shitcoin like Ethereum surpassed it? on: October 12, 2021, 08:37:52 PM
Arguably the cumulative value of the Ethereum ecosystem, along with the ETH market cap itself, might actually already surpass the BTC market cap if you extrapolate its valuation liberally. A lot of it is junk and will collapse under its own weight, but no I wouldn't stop using BTC just because something is "worth" more than it.

What would make me stop using btc is

- tx fees render it non-competitive with other currency options
- it becomes less accepted as a method of payment
- Bitcoin maxis finally irritated the last hell out of me (j/k, they already did that and I still use it)
- oh almost forgot, SHA-256 is cracked by quantum computing or what have you
2634  Economy / Reputation / Re: Little Mouse and RapTarX - What is this connection? on: October 12, 2021, 08:19:07 PM
Delving into peoples' finances is already personal enough.

Maybe you're right but what's wrong with it? Isn't the transparency of blockchain a thing...

That's not what I was referring to -- it was your casually dropping of a reference to mdayonliner that I had a problem with.
2635  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake.com lying and cheating its "VIP" customers on: October 12, 2021, 08:07:32 PM
I say they are lying and cheating the VIPs in the topic , and thats exactly what it is.

When they say "As a platinum VIP you will ALWAYS be entitled to this feature" and then suddenly I am not entitled anymore even though they said ALWAYS, thats a clear lie then.

Without evidence its just a claim, not necessarily reality. It doesn't say what you claim it does (did) on the website. You say the changed it, ok they may very well have, but how are we supposed to know that beyond taking your word for it?

How is that "cheating", anyway?
2636  Economy / Reputation / Re: I need tips on how to Build my reputation. I'm a Newbie on: October 12, 2021, 10:19:30 AM
You forgot to mention the Collectibles board, where buying a round piece of metal adds greatly to your reputation. Even better if you use certain users as escrow, you'll get double the feedback for just for one deal! Then sell it again, and score even more positive feedback.

I do declare Mr. V. if I didn't know better I'd say you're doing some cheeky rib poking.

Oh, claiming to be Satoshi also works. I tend to remember accounts that have claimed to be Satoshi, there's actually a fair number. I also recommend picking a fight with theymos.

He didn't say he wanted a good reputation, just a reputation.
2637  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Regarding the topic of hacking crypto scammers on: October 12, 2021, 07:41:07 AM
From a legal standpoint of course its a no-go. But ethically speaking I don't have problems with the DDOS attack of known scam websites. Of course you have to be right when deciding what an actual 'scam website' is.

Quite a few episodes of the Darknet Diaries podcast deal with this subject and the idea of vigilantism in grey hat hacking. It can get pretty messy if the wrong people are targeted. I think people are already doing it, for good or for bad, better or for worse.
2638  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake.com lying and cheating its "VIP" customers on: October 12, 2021, 04:45:33 AM
What's the actual scam here? Did they steal your money on a busted game? Cashout delays? KYC problems?

This reload possibility was promised to be open end as they stated "As a platinum VIP you will ALWAYS be entitled to this feature".

Where does it actually say that? Not here:

https://stake.com/vip-club

How can someone come up with a number of 50k/month so I can get the reload back, and then its some cents again obviously.

Stake is straight up garbage and lies to its users, yet another confirmation of the bullshit this site is pulling!

For me this is a pure scam as they promise and guarantee rewards and then back down from them. Very shady.

Forgive me but this complaint seems a little bit crazy. They offered to give you the reload feature for an entire month and you're mad about that? Surely that's enough time to find a new casino that puts up with you knows how to treat their VIPs right.
2639  Economy / Reputation / Re: Little Mouse and RapTarX - What is this connection? on: October 12, 2021, 04:16:44 AM
Now the interesting thing is Both the address were inactive for 140+ Days and happen to become active on the same day and in a couple of hours difference.

Hmm... Your links are a bit hard to follow but you're almost on to something here. The two accounts shared a KuCoin deposit address:

0xd0bcbed266beb3b6f173b1a958a29c2186b80f39

Little Mouse wanted to move some CoopNetwork tokens 17 days ago, so he deposited some ETH into this address and then apparently burned the tokens by sending them to a black hole address. Which is weird because they're worth over a penny each and he had 10k of them.

Then he moved the left-over ETH to the KuCoin deposit address -- the same address which RapTarX had made a deposit to 234 days ago.

Wonder if this is part of the 'experiment,' lol.

P.S: While checking the address an address of "mayday guy" was also popped up amoung the mixing.

Again, not cool to just casually make associations with no actual evidence. Delving into peoples' finances is already personal enough.

Eliminated.

"Hey where the game part that's not a game it's just people getting banned."

Yeah that's a good point. I should edit the last post to pose some kind of a riddle he didn't solve in time. Like, "What has four legs in the morning, two legs in the afternoon and three legs at night?"
