2621  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone living with older people? on: January 18, 2023, 07:56:01 PM
See I have this problem, I am living with older people since I lost my parents at a very young age and I get so attached with crypto and I am making money out of it but the problem is my grandfather and uncles do not understand what Bitcoin is all about, believe me, I've tried to explain but they just won't get it. What can I do? They kind of believe that I am wasting my time.

How do one educate the illiterate about digital currency?

Why not make it easy for yourself and introduce bitcoin to the young and tender age viable youths and young adults who could understand and invest into crypto than the old age senior citizens, am not saying teaching them is of no value but consider the rate of how they can actively engage doing it with that of a young man, why bothering yourself in teaching an overaged man how to ride a bicycle when we have plenty children out there willing to learn that, don't you think you're missing something out here, or you're interested on your personal agenda unknown to us.
2622  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ucy Merit Giveaway on: January 18, 2023, 07:39:10 PM
I just noticed the merit topic was moved here. I wonder when and why . Well, I'm not too interested in the merit system, I only became more interested after reading a little bit about it. So I thought maybe I was a little stingy with mine and I need to giveaway the few I have

Have you taken your time to have a look into how others have been engaging the act of giving out Merits to members, the categories of members they give, the requirements they set for eligibility, the quantity they offer for each application and the time frame they do this often, OP with this that you have written here I don't think you have an idea on meriting others and you could have just selected some few newbies or any rank you're ok with what they post and offer them from the little you have than creating a thread that you know nothing about the process.
2623  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dealing with low self-esteem on: January 18, 2023, 07:11:05 PM
Self esteem is the way we regard ourselves, the values we place. Its normal to criticize ourselves once in a while, but where low self-esteem creeps in is where we constantly degrade ourselves or judge negatively.

It depends on the way we accept it and how it's been applicable to us, low esteem could come in different forms and in most cases we feels inferior about ourselves in certain situations or conditions in life and deprived ourselves from that right to push forward to defend ourselves out of the situation or to make a change, we must not let low esteem get us out of luck and our right to living freely and getting fulfilled, in the same vein we must not as well get too much overconfidence in ourselves because it may lead to pride, but the worst we could do on ourselves is to remain silent when our voice is needed to be heard or talk to much when we needed to be silent.
2624  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Would you marry your current spouse again? on: January 17, 2023, 11:51:24 AM
I will be proud to remarry her again and over again in life to come because once a man miss it in marriage he has missed it all, that's why marriage been cslled an institution of learning requires careful attention to be given before the journey begins, it's not what should be done in a rush or someone compelling you to get married, it's a personal decision and a readiness for marriage, it's better not to start than regretting later for taking such decision, for i know that am been satisfied and got fulfilled with my wife am blessed with and will always wanted her over and over again till eternity.
2625  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to pay crypto tax in UK? on: January 17, 2023, 11:19:48 AM
You dont pay tax for having crypto in your wallet but exchanges pay do, paying tax is acceptable in fiat as individuals or business owner, this are the registration you undergoes when you wanted your business to get established and registered under government rule, this act of paying tax is what has been in place since ancient days, so paying tax is as simple a the procedures in doing do as long as you're willing and interested in paying, government always had it accounts stipulated for doing so whenever you appear before them for paying.
2626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & China time to time waving History on: January 17, 2023, 10:25:12 AM
When it fome to China we all know they don't take things easy with their people and they ensure that their law is being enforced across their whole regions, they may ban it legally but they cannot in a hundred percent way avoid the people from participating since there's p2p everyone ca go through fully decentralized and they csn use a non custodial wallet as well in having their bitcoin, the rate may be low where the Chinese citizens were found into crypto at the cause of the ban but if they really wanted to engage with bitcoin there's certainty they be do that being privately decentralized.
2627  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I feel happy on: January 16, 2023, 04:06:05 PM
For those that have invested this year, they would have seen by now why bitcoin is profitable and no further lesson is expected than having the experience by themselves, this is just a little stir and the major isn't yet occuring, wait till the bullrun begins and hodl, this is the major targets investors has with bitcoin, but i can assure you if you continue to hodl there are better days ahead, this is one of the best decisions one could make for himself than depositing in fiat.
2628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: January 16, 2023, 03:50:27 PM
Heneral Tourist Extension Day In El-Savador

https://twitter.com/nayibbukele/status/1613714037094715392?t=iyHhFgNOcWwnuCerN6_gSg&s=19

This is to bring to the notice of the general public rhat the government of El-Savador has endorsed an extension for it tourist enthusiast o have a longer stay of 180 days instead of the initial 90 days stipulated, this will help in a long way to make discoveries and enjoy every provisioned targeted on bitcoin tourists from across the globe, this was coming in after the official release of the intention to bring in more bitcoin investors into El-Savador, this is a double celebration as the bitcoin price is getting back it bull to start the race of moving up and up.

Country with a population of around 6.5 million keep on trying to make themselves strong through the tourism sector. Once after the adoption of bitcoin, the country have experienced good progress in the tourism industry. This have now made them increase the staying days from 90 days to 180 days. Country that is being discussed for violence and illegal activities have now turned to be a better tourism spot. Through bitcoin the country is experiencing a massive transformation. Hope this can make changes in the nearby small countries.

When El Salvador develops rapidly after accepting Bitcoin as legal tender, I think there will be many other developing countries that will adopt bitcoin and follow El Salvador's path, my reason for this is because basically developing countries also always want their country to become a developed country in terms of state revenue from the policies implemented, when El Salvador was really successful in terms of policies establishing bitcoin as a legal tender for payments and increasing their national income from the tourism industry and other economic sectors which of course will be imitated by many countries.
I really look forward to this for the following years as we see lots of new people studying bitcoin's performance in the financial system and of course bitcoin adoption will be massive.

Central African Republic has also follow up with adoption of bitcoin as a legal tender after El-Savador, while many other countries have been showing interest in likes manner, we hope to receiving more countries into it this year, i also count it another advantage that the bitcoin price could make sone changes or hasten some other decision provided if it surges more higher above the $21k it has attained over a very long time, i believe many doubts about bitcoin and it's acceptabilities have been cleared and it's obvious not a currency that will ever turn to a zero points.
2629  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The solution to the problem of radioactive waste from nuclear power plants on: January 16, 2023, 03:26:27 PM
The influence of radioactive elements on human and the environment is something that has caused alot of havoc on lives and what people dont give attention to is the aspect that the effect seeing from this exposure aren't short time but a long term effect, this works about the long term toxic dose effect on exposure to human and the environment and part of the solution to adopt is to distant their locations from the environment we lives in and avoid any possible means that may leads or got transferred to human and the immediate environment.
2630  Economy / Economics / Re: My investments ahead of the 2024 halving 100% Bitcoin on: January 14, 2023, 08:39:00 PM
There's this high probability that if you invested on bitcoin this year before the 2024 halving arrives there's certainty to making profitable return from your investment since those that just set in last week into bitcoin investment have already got something tangible out of it as there have been a margin between last week and this weekend with bitcoin price, so going by the next year event will be a boom to fast track the process with high volatility, this is part of the reasons people stick to bitcoin investment aahead the time when they buy the dip and hold on a specific target on event like that of the halving we are expecting for 2024.
2631  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did Miss El Salvador cause the Bitcoin price to spike last night? on: January 14, 2023, 08:18:00 PM
Bitcoin moves above 200 MA, who knows maybe this is one of the reasons to the recent changes in bitcoin price that have caused the surge but i can't agree the Miss El-Savador's event is the reason behind the increase but there could be coincidence atimes, let's give it a look at what the stats says here.

If you consider the downtrend moves on bitcoin price in couple of months back you will discover that things have begin to change well in favour of every bitcoiners around the world having one thing or the other which tied them to bitcoin and just as you can see the positive change ongoing even though it has not achieved where it should be but there's every indications bitcoin is making some positive moves starting from the bitcoin statistic that shows long term as holders now get to the range of about 85%

2633  Economy / Reputation / Re: Campaign managers acting as Escrow on: January 13, 2023, 03:38:35 PM
Should an escrow be liable for any loss of such funds and get tagged till such a repayment is done?

If we consider the risk associated with using a centralized exchange in performing escrow for our transactions and eventually they got hacked or went bankrupt obviously we have nothing to do about it because we cannot fight them back to recovering the lost funds, but in case of the campaign managers and their hiring companies this has to be an agreement they would have cone into symphony with before engaging on the deal of contract, with the recent happening i think others will learn and review or recheck their contract terms with the kind of managers they employed, but i think experience also matters here, it's not all about hiring a manager but those that can delivere upto task and has been here on the forum in charge of more than four signature campaigns over years and nothing got mixed up.
2634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what if Bitcoin fees become high hindering normal users to run their own LN node on: January 13, 2023, 02:24:12 PM
LN's aim is to take people away from using bitcoin. which is what all crap coins try to do

I think am against this and this should be my first time of hearing this, lightening network is meant for people to ise and this specifically targeted at bitcoin users to help have a better experience when making transactions with delay confirmation or bulky one at a go with better offers.

LN love bitcoin fees going up because once they can lock people into LN people wont want to leave due to bitcoin fee fears. and thats how they recruit people into their altnet

I don't believe if the lightening network is an altnet, testnet or mainnet as in the case you may call it, the fee is not to serve a threat but consider using the network with the service provided as the reason to the fee which i think justifies the mempool when full and your transactions isn't confirmed, lightening network is targeted on bitcoin transaction and denying it importance is as using a inappropriate means to deny bitcoin in disguise.
2635  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A deep understanding of Bitcoin for beginners, it might answer your questions  on: January 12, 2023, 03:37:52 PM
Snipped

Well said OP, this is what exactly newbies should understand and since this is beginners and help section i wouldn't go contrary against it since no amount of information is enough for learning, probably if every newbies had an understanding of all these they wouldn't have been coming to complain about how they were being scammed, some only hear the gist without paying attention to the learning procedures.

I don't know maybe it's me that's not getting your point straight or the collocation of your grammars here but every merit you received must have complied to this posting etiquettes https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5184741.0#post_altgiveaway and receiving merit is at will, if you're hunting for merits obviously you may not get because you're not giving the expected result to qualify for receiving it, post quality is judge by the recipient we feels he got touched and imformed by what you have posted and this does not need to be a whole full page, with merit or not people will make good post with a desiring content while some will not.
2637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: January 12, 2023, 02:44:47 PM
Despite the Bitcoin price dropping more than 30% since the first time El Salvador legalized Bitcoin, However El Salvador has become the rule model for country that has contributed quite  bit in terms of making Bitcoin as legal currency transaction. I think have each four years cycle will bring positive side for Bitcoin higher price due halving time in 2024.

Many negative viewed when Bitcoin dropping and think El Savador have failure with their investment assets, I am waiting to compete them when Bitcoin have going back to higher price later. Don't be sad and have new update about Bitcoin progress in El Savador after few hours ago publish new approval.

2638  Economy / Economics / Re: My investments ahead of the 2024 halving 100% Bitcoin on: January 11, 2023, 08:57:54 PM
If you make an investment in bitcoin before the 2024 halving there's no doubt you will come out with something tangible from it, the period will be highly volatile but once you get the best pattern and strategies to buying and selling it after you might have hold for some time then it will all come in with ease on you, it's not all about just the halving event that guarantee the profit but your right positioning during that period in taking good advantage of it in making your own earnings, i support your decision and can advise on that provided the information and knowledge is being in place.
2639  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Are Some Of The Most Efficient Ways To Invest My Bitcoin Earnings? on: January 11, 2023, 08:36:33 PM
What are some of the most efficient ways to invest my bitcoin earnings to yield profit and is the strategy of investing due for long term or short term period?

Learn about Dollar Cost Averaging DCA and keep returning the profits you make from bitcoin back into it for more accumulation, you will continue with these and buy the dip and return back the interest to the assets, you can also learn to do trading, which is a short time base investment whereby you sell and buy within a short time, all you should do is to always ensure you don't invest on anything that will cost you maintenance charges or be a liability than bringing money back to you in form of profits.
2640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - a bloodless revolution on: January 11, 2023, 08:11:11 PM
Many times I asked myself how Bitcoin managed to run this bloodless revolution

This is not complete yet until everyone across the nooks and crannies of the world adopted bitcoin and renders fiat vulnerable without being helped, and this is a time we are seeking for beyond this present dispensation whereby every centralized authorities will be shamed with humility, bitcoin does not beed to made it loud before achieving these since the creation and adoption went on as expected without any glitch despite the news around that it's a scam, bitcoin has executed all challenges with handling fiat from central authorities and we gor decentralized in an independent way home hich is total financial freedom without fighting a III world war or human massacre.
