2621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia's 'Bitcoin Ban' Faces Uncertain Future After Draft Bill Withdrawn on: May 20, 2016, 02:29:12 PM
I have been reading for years now, how Russia will ban bitcoin, put bitcoin users on jail, and in general a lot of fear regarding the use and possession of bitcoins, but if you look at the volume of rubles being sent to bitcoin exchanges, it's only growing, rendering the government useless on their attempt to stop bitcoin on their country.
2622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Investment Type do you Prefer??? on: May 20, 2016, 02:19:19 PM
I would stay away from crowdfunding unless you really know that the guys involved in it are legit. I have seen a lot of people using their fame to take people's money away, specially in the gaming sector, some people get famous when they announce a really promising game, they take a lot of money off a kickstarter , and then they disappear.
2623  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do YOU know Bitcoin? on: May 20, 2016, 02:06:37 PM
I saw it on the news, I think it was on national television when the price broke the gold's price, and it was also on the news during the Mt Gox incident. I ignored all of that because it was usually linked to criminal activity so I wanted nothing to do with it. But later on I learned about it and understood the mistake that was ignoring it because media FUD.
2624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: May 19, 2016, 01:59:11 PM
I can't wait to see who finally wins the champions. I think it will be a though matchup. I think that Aletico has a big opportunity to finally win, they are way more hungry to win than Real, but lets not forget that Real is overall the better team. If Ronaldo has a good day, then they will have a really hard time trying to stop goals coming in.
2625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 200: Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier. Who are you betting for? on: May 19, 2016, 01:42:48 PM
Im also going to have to go for Jon Jones... even tho I hate the guy because he is so stuck up and thinks he is the king of the world. I dream with the day he gets knocked the fuck out and he gets humbled. Maybe some day it happens, but right now I dont see it happening. Daniel Cormier is great, but im not sure if he can do it.

How much are you going to bet for Jon Jones win?
2626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth will skyrocket the next days on: May 19, 2016, 01:31:06 PM
This DAO and ETH crap is tiresome, but im not gonna lie, I hope it pumps since me and a lot of guys that bought in are still hoping to get rid of it and make some extra BTC while the hype on those alts is still relevant, so please yes, keep it pumping up until it collapses. When are you going to dump? I think 15 looks good, maybe even 20 dollars! but doubling the price is getting harder now with ETH.
2627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ToominCoin aka "Bitcoin_Classic" #R3KT on: May 19, 2016, 12:48:24 PM
PWC has no investment in Blockstream or anything to do with investment in Blockstream. (Not that it would matter if they did), AFAIK no bank has any investment in Blockstream-- though they might be wise to, to the extent that the technology we work on might displace some of their businesses they'd be wise to want to figure out how to adapt to it.

But really, most groups that might be displaced by Bitcoin simply can't see it coming-- if they weren't blind to the reasons it would displace them they wouldn't likely be displaced. There is no reason that any ordinary bank today couldn't quite profitably adapt to an all Bitcoin world.

There is all the reasons In the world Banks WILL NEVER adapt to bitcoin as it is meant to freaking by-pass them and their sham of a financial system.

Them banksters rely on debt money. Not sound money.

So they will fight it, infiltrate it, try at corrupt it, etc.

Pretty much what we have witnessed so far with stupid "Blockchain tech" hype, social ingeneering bullshitery, kyc/aml regulation sheningans, governance schemes and other fork attacks.

But may they try harder. Make bitcoin even more resilient to their obsolete tactics.

I think there is a place for "Bitcoin banks" to exist.
Most people will not like the idea of being responsible of their own money... like the idea of having all of your networth at home in some cold storage, might seem to scary for them, and they couldn't take it if they did a mistake and lost it all. So I for those that are scared of that, and would rather trust a bank carrying their private keys, im sure there will be services like that. Personally I think it kills the point of Bitcoin, but who cares, as long as we have the option to manage our own money.
2628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Theymos: “Bitcoins Belonging to Satoshi Should Be Destroyed” on: May 19, 2016, 12:43:28 PM
Why instead of destroying those coins, why doesn't Satoshi distribute them in giveaways or for bitcoin related work ?
I maybe not the first person to come with this idea, but I think the destruction of a big portion of bitcoins will make it seem worthless to the general public eye as even its creator is not holding the coins he mined.
Don't forget the general people have a different view than ours in regard to cryptocurrency. Take this analogy as an example: consider a man from the amazon who has no idea about paper money and he sees someone burning a $100 banknote, what would he think ? he would think it is not worth more than the wood he burns to worm himself, that's how those who don't understand Satoshi's view will think when they hear he burned the coins he mined.
Just my thought, nothing else, no intent to make any statement on the intelligence of those who didn't embrace cryptocurrency.

We dont know if satoshi is even alive. You are talking as if satoshi is even a single guy, or if it was a single guy, that he is still in control of his keys (that he didn't lose his keys) or if he is held hostage, or if like I said before, if he is even alive at all...
We don't know who controls those coins anymore, but sure, we should not destroy them. If they get hacked, then so be it.
2629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin new trend? on: May 19, 2016, 12:29:43 PM
Bitcoin debit card is an old story. few companies are issuing them from a long time.

But now the scale of bitcoin debit cards will be massive. I just hope no scam companies are involved in this. otherwise people will run crazy after they loose money.

Welcoming move indeed!

I don't trust regular credit cards, let alone credit cards based on Bitcoin... whoever is running the place where they keep the wallets in which creditors take the money from, must be really cautious and have certain guarantees when you sign the contract to buy the card, otherwise it will be yet another disaster waiting to happen.
2630  Other / Archival / Re: Do you have paypal account even though you have bitcoin? on: May 19, 2016, 12:28:03 PM
yes I do have a paypal account, even tho I have ever barely used it. I got it just to recieve some payments, nothing big, and also to pay in some places where it would be too annoying to use a transaction or a credit card.
Wait, I actually used it a lot, I remember I have bought a lot of times on ebay, which means I used Paypal every time.
2631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: May 18, 2016, 03:17:27 PM
i know why gambling is so addicting and thats not becasuse of the game. Ok some games are cool but not that cool to put hundreds of dollars into it. If you lose money you want it back dont you. That is the point your getting addicted to the game on that moment you know that you have to take a step behind and leave the shit behind.

This is also a sick behavior seen in investments too. You invest in some stock, or in this case in some altcoin, then you lose money with it, you get mad and you try to fight the market, so you invest more, and you enter in a spiral of losing money instead of recouping loses or at least holding and seeing what happens. This people never learn it seems.
2632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: May 18, 2016, 03:15:29 PM
Investment is best compare to gambling. Invest on any small business and do some hard work there is a profit for. Where you are perfect in which work you know everything there you can invest mining is good here you can make money but before that you know about market so learn some thing about market first and so mining you may make some profit. In gambling it's all loss only.

There is always way to combine both things. You can invest in gambling Wink

In "Dogital goods" section we can find developers/webmasters who want sell scripts of slot machines, little or big casinos. Im not sure how difficult it is to pass all legal cases to open something like that, but it can be good idea..  Cool

By investing in gambling, you need not have to setup up a casino yourself. There is some website where you can invest to be part of the bankroll and you are able to get a share of the profit.

Investing in a casino being stable enough so your bankroll investment doesn't go to hell is in itself a big gamble. A lot of casinos disappear out of nowhere, stealing all the bankroll and leaving all the investors without pants. Same goes for a lot of other investments on the field like could mining. So you must do extensive research before putting your private keys in third's hands.
2633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: losing 50 bitcoins gambling on: May 18, 2016, 02:40:49 PM
Well it would be pretty difficult that I lose 50 BTC gambling, simply because I don't have 50 BTC, so I would need to reach that balance first...
I will never lose any amount of BTC that is relevant or worth mentioning, because i don't do heavy gambling, only for fun, it's always less than 0.1 BTC loses for me.
2634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ToominCoin aka "Bitcoin_Classic" #R3KT on: May 18, 2016, 02:28:33 PM
Meh so Classic got #R3kt - as expected and because the reality is that nobody besides the social media derps wants to commit fork - and so now core should take over and implement their beloved 2MB fork? lol

Hardfork will not happen. Give it a 10 years grace period or even a 51% threshold. Forkers will get #R3kt anyway.

But I kinda regret we did not took the classic opportunity to get rid of goldman-coinbase-sachs and other delusional corporations with their reddit minions. If only they'd have forked their way out of the legacy network.

Why does a hardfork has to happen at all?

If they want to prove that their version is good, create an altcoin, and if the market finds it suitable, bitcoiners will shift their money in it. They can even peg the price to 1:1 to bitcoin so that the late joiners would not suffer from late joining.

Why do they want to force us to adopt their version, do it the voluntary way and lets see what the market does.

They want the hardfork to happen and they don't want to take the altcoin route for a very simple reason... if they took the altcoin route, offering exactly what their hardfork proposal offers in the form of an altcoin, nobody would give a flying fuck. They know that their only selling point is doing it under the Bitcoin brand, because they are unable to provide anything of actual value, unlike Core devs which are always making actual solid progress and delivering good new stuff like segwit and so on.
2635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever caught yourself thinking Bitcoin is AMAZING? on: May 18, 2016, 02:17:07 PM
Sometimes I get too used to it existing and not realize the importance of it and how much it has changed the game. I like to sometimes watch those talks by Andreas Antonopolous after a period where im not looking at bitcoin news because im busy, then I remember why I know this thing will be extremely valuable in the future, sometimes we forget that history changed in 2008.
2636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: fee reached 500 BTC. on: May 18, 2016, 02:10:30 PM
People can always use alts to move money, they don't have to use BTC. For example the fee when using doge is 1 Doge which is about 50 satoshis. I expect this development will hasten the move into alts.

Lol no one cares about DOGE, Dogecoin was great to get some extra BTC off fool hands, just like most alts if not all of them.
Sometimes people put big fees by accident, or because they are stupid and are using BTC while drunk or something (I can't find any other explaination) and when this happens the average fee can go higher than it naturally is.
2637  Other / Off-topic / Re: du you spend coins on real life. on: May 18, 2016, 01:54:45 PM
I haven't spent my coins in real life yet, its only digital for me at a moment, and basically I am not spending because of halving as price will be high at that time.

Most of people are waiting for halving and they are not spending their coins anyway. it is good somehow. because they are hopping for some big profits after halving. I am also collecting most of my btc and storing them. but some time I spend some of my btc.
I didn't spent bitcoin in real life. but I convert bitcoin to real money and spent them. so basically yes.

A real holder will always have a reason to hold. I can't blame the people that find spending Bitcoin stupid, I sincerely think spending it on stuff that you don't really need is silly, i feel like im using gold to pay for some stupid crap, and to buy stupid crap, I would rather use fiat. Bitcoin is too valuable to buy videogames or other stuff that is at the end of the day, not important, so I would rather keep it personally.
2638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling problem on: May 17, 2016, 03:14:00 PM
Yes finally i'am really out of gambling losing over 0.06 Btc.
i played in 999dice most and  also in primedice. now i am in trading in yobit so i am pretty happy nowdays. 😊😊

Well good job in quitting if it was a problem for you, but don't lose all of your moeny now on investments, because investments are a form of gambling too at the end of the day, so you want to keep it really safe. If you are going to invest in some coin, don't invest it in some random shitcoin at least.
2639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: May 17, 2016, 02:37:43 PM
The poor people that live from the hopes of making money on gambling are very deluded and im sorry for them. Im broke myself and I know how stupid it would be to spend my hard earned money in risky gambling. Sure, taking big risks its the only way to get out of the broke situation, but if you lose you will not even be broke anymore, you will be on the streets begging for food and I would rather stay broken than that. My only hope is that my Bitcoins are valuable enough in 10 years to change my life.
2640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you trust stuff like Hashocean? on: May 17, 2016, 02:27:50 PM
Nope, you will always lose with cloud mining. Just think about it for a minute...if you had a bunch of mining gear why sell it for less than it can earn by running it? Pretty much every single cloud mining operation was either a ponzi or simply failed. Never invest into them...if it looks too good to be true then it is.

I know is a ponzi... but some people has made money with hashocean and posted proof. The question is when to cash out and leave before the collapse happens.

I have just found this calculator thingy:

https://hashocean.com/repayment/

The interesting part is that no matter how much you invest, there seems to be a cap and 2-3 months is always the time to wait for the return of investment to happen. So im guessing this may collapse during the halving... we will see.

Congrats to everyone that has been on hashocean and has made money already, but I don't think I will take the risk to be honest.
