2621  Economy / Economics / Re: What define your success, "money, fame or achievement"? on: September 29, 2022, 11:15:04 AM

Thank you for agreeing with me. Smiley And this brings us back to the OP of this thread. The very idea that money and fame isn't a measure for success comes from the people that have a lot of that stuff, but still feel unsuccessful. I mean, it's their own problem. These people can have millions of reasons to be unhappy, but it doesn't prove that everyone else would feel the same being on their place.
Yes like that. the definition of success will be different when viewed from different points of view. different points of view are born from the characteristics of a person and the background of each person is not the same. even a dream between one and the other will be different. like the wishes of someone from a lower middle class family and someone from an upper middle class family will obviously be different. so we can't equate everything. Success can be a simple thing or it can even be a complicated thing. depends on someone understanding it. although everything ends in the same thing, namely happiness and satisfaction. and sometimes it's hard for everyone to understand each other. like me who can't understand someone from among the antique collectors.

I'm with you on this one. How can you be happy from buying an antique chair, or a cup? And how about unopened bottle of poison, like this one?

And yet, it makes some people feeling over the moon when they get those things. It's the highest point of success to them.

But it's worth noting that without enough money they would not be able to afford such acquisitions.

Congratulations to all the winners of these amazing contests run by Bitcasino.io!

I'm especially glad that you, @LFC_Bitcoin, won in both of them.

Remember a week ago you commented on my multibet win with 98.24 odds on Sportsbet.io?

Betwrong doing Betwrong things Cheesy
You have luck like this all the time, on bitcasino.io too. You must have been blessed or something, send some of that good luck this way Grin

And I thought, well, if LFC_Bitcoin believes I have so much good luck that I can share some of it, why should I be the one who denies it? I will share it, provided I have it!

The fact that you won in both contests tells me I do have that kind of luck. Cheesy

Now I see it wasn't just luck. You've been good at price predictions since 2014. So it's a coincidence, but it's a good one, innit? Grin

I don't know about stifling innovation, that also sounds like another excuse. If I did something new and 1000 people copied me, I would be finding day and night to make my stuff even better. How does it stifle innovation?

Yep, it doesn't. That's what companies that created something new and original are doing all the time: they are trying to improve their creation and trying to invent something new once again, since they are, obviously, capable of that.

You can spend your lifetime on copywriting, licensing and suing those who "have stolen your work", or you can just ignore them and spend your time on creating something new and useful. I mean, you can do both, but in my opinion those judicial proceedings will suck you dry.

~First off, you will never read in ToS of any reputable gambling site that winning too much results in some kind of limiting your bet amount. Secondly, you can bet a low amount many times and voila, you are betting big again, right?

That fiat based casino you were limited on for winning just €100 wasn't an example of a good casino, if you ask me.

On the contrary, the majority of casinos do limit their customers' accounts to make sure they don't win too much. All casinos are commercial operations in the business of making money, and if you consistently win their money, they will limit your ability to continue taking it from them. Even if they can't stop you from winning, they do have to do something if you are a consistently profitable customer.

Is it true? I mean, I hear a lot about such limitations, but are there examples of such actions by reputable online casinos in reality? I know there were many such cases with land based casinos in the past, and maybe they are doing it these days too, I don't know, but what about online casinos?

I don't think they would do that either. First off, you will never read in ToS of any reputable gambling site that winning too much results in some kind of limiting your bet amount. Secondly, you can bet a low amount many times and voila, you are betting big again, right?

That fiat based casino you were limited on for winning just €100 wasn't an example of a good casino, if you ask me.

You are right that it is never written in the TOS, but there are quite a few stories here on this forum where people won big and can now only bet low amounts on several sports markets.
I only joined that fiat casino because they had a real good welcome offer but stopped playing after I got limited lol.

If it's never written in the ToS, it's a cheat, don't you think?

I don't think you can really ban players for that as they do nothing wrong in fact. They will probably just limit the players so they can only bet a low amount on the sports they always bet on. I got limited on a fiat only casino one time because I won like a bet of 100€ lol.

I don't understand why you are saying that, with a username like yours, since 2014 you should be aware of how sportsbooks and casinos are working. You haven't read the post of rambofaik above or you just think it's a fake one? He even posted screenshots for people trying to deny the reality like what you seem to do in this post. And of course, no, you can't place several bets to circumvent those limitations, they would be useless otherwise.

Sorry, I didn't read the post of @rambofaik before that post of mine because, believe it or not, I don't read all the posts on this forum, especially those made by people recently registered and with only 6 posts in total.

Now I've read all of them, and I'm still not convinced. In the latest post rambofaik said that he received a reply from support: "Stay active and they will review your account frequently and apply the changes where they deem fit."
2626  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Biggest Wins with lowest risks in Casino History on: September 28, 2022, 11:29:51 AM
Yes, me too. When you see someone's winning big, and you know it's not staged, or something, you know it's genuine, it feels really good. Firstly because the more happy people in the world, the happier the world is overall. And secondly, you see that a big win like that is possible. You can be one of them winners one day.
It's like that my friend, when you see things like that it's very gratifying, personally when it comes to slots, I don't play like that in a big way, my style of play in slots is more focused on fun, so I'm not looking to win, because I know that to win at slot machines is to have a very big touch of luck, perhaps in the future if I am very, very well in my economic situation, I will do it as many do here in the forum, so I think this will be one of the ways slots are more enjoyable to enjoy, but overall I love it and am pleased to see people happy when they get wins like this, more so when it's people looking to win and it works out for them.

I play for fun too, and I think no matter how bad/good your financial situation is you should always play for fun, while hoping somewhere deep inside for winning big. Smiley

What's exciting about playing slots is that you can bet a little and yet win a lot. Just like recently I won 100 EUR with betting just 11 cents. It was 934x of my bet, my personal record so far. My point is, @LUCKMCFLY, you can fully enjoy that experience right now without waiting for better economic situation, my friend. Smiley

What's really great about the possibility of making 2 predictions is that you have 2 chances instead of just one. And who knows, maybe my first prediction for BTC, 25,555.55 EUR, will be the winner on September 28. Fingers crossed. Smiley
Totally possible. I feel there is a stronger possibility for BTC to stay below $20K or hover very close to it primarily because of pathetic Putin's partial mobilisation decision recently which sparked worldwide concern.

You were right, mate! BTC is around 20K EUR right now. It's pretty interesting that 1 Euro equals 0.96 USD right now. I don't remember something like this in the past.

I just checked the thread, and the are so many predictions in the range somewhere around 20k. It's very interesting to see who will be the winner. What I know for sure, it won't be me with my 18,675.35 EUR prediction. Smiley
2628  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save as food inflation jumps more than 11% in a year on: September 28, 2022, 10:03:46 AM
I don't think buying food and stocking is a good idea if that's what you mean, the best way around this is to live below your means and add some other cash flows.

That's right. We have little experience in storing food and we don't have an appropriate equipment, so it is very likely that a big part of the food we want to preserve will go bad. The best strategy, in my opinion, is trying to find the places where we can buy cheaper food, and, of course, where we can earn some additional money.

Wow! The ancient Egyptians were already playing dice 3,000 years ago. Even a six sided dice is the same as it is today. Perhaps the Egyptians weren't the first to invent dice either. In any case, it's a very interesting fact.

It's 3,000 years BC, mate. It's actually 5,000 years ago.

~

That is some rare finding!  I always thought that the first image is the dice used by ancient people, having you present the fact that six-sided dice is already been used 3000 years before the common era (BCE) is quite a news to me.

That makes me look at how the dice design evolved.  Here is the sample dice used in a certain era.

We can read more detailed information in this article[1]

[1] https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/dice-evolution-fate-fairness-archaeology

I read the article, and now I only have more questions. Smiley

Firstly I read:

"The earliest dice can be traced back to 6000 B.C. in Mesopotamia, and were often used to tell fortunes. Ancient Egyptians played one of the oldest known board games called Senet with dice ..."

and then later:

"According to the study, cubic dice created around or before 400 B.C., in the Roman era ...

and when I google it, I'm getting this answer:

So, is it possible to know the answer to the question "When the six sided dice was invented?" with an accuracy better than 2,500 years?
2631  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: September 27, 2022, 01:44:38 PM
Unbelievable! Just several days ago I said in in this post that I will be doing multibets with 80-90 odds to test a pattern of betting(read the post if you want details). I knew it wasn't going to happen on the first try, so I was ready to do dozens of attempts, but look what happened on my third try:

Nice one! Surprised I actually recognised 2 teams in there. As darxiaomi asks, I gotta know: was this genius or stab in the dark? Haha

You're not tempting me to follow up my awful bet from a few days ago (dead on the first leg courtesy Lazio) though! Nations League is guess league... but hope you share a 100/1 win!

Meanwhile, go Scotland?

First off, thanks for your congratulations and kind words, @darxiaomi, @buwaytress, @LFC_Bitcoin, @Unsoldier, @Juggy777! It was, by far, the highest multiplier I won with doing sports betting. So, it was kinda a milestone for me. Thank you, guys, and good luck!

As for "was this genius or stab in the dark", I'd say it was somewhere in the middle. To be honest, I don't  follow Argentina second division, nor do I know much about the other teams I was betting on. I'm testing a pattern of betting where you place bets with the odds somewhere in between 1.6 and 2.2, and place the bet when the odds are already around 100.00.
2632  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a game you would like to see in an online crypto casino? on: September 27, 2022, 12:12:09 PM
~ See it only on games which is not related on gambling but for casino games? I didn't see such thing and most provably exploiter can find or create a tool that can manipulate those things. So I guess this may not be a good addition if this will be easily taken out by cheaters, but who knows devs could find good system which is hard to break and we will see this kind of game exist.
That's what I also think, if the devs manage to get hold of the game and find all the resources so they don't exploit it and use small vulnerabilities, it's much better if the devs can change the meaning of the game a bit but keeping the concept for which It was created, maybe they remove or put some things and I can fit it well. If we take into account some things that can attract players, it is something that can hook them, otherwise I think not, and obviously there are good chances of winning so that players have an opportunity and are encouraged to play this type of game, it is that no it takes a lot, just programming it well is ready. ~

You know, I think it's a great idea to use the appearance of the Waterful Ring-Toss game, like this one

but to make an online game that completely depends on chance, something similar to slots.

There is a great deal of nostalgia about this game in the world, so it might be a popular online game with many millions of users.

Yes.

We just don't know: minimum total deposit, minimum rank and minimum wagger to be qualified for this promotion. It's all mystery, so keep it that why because 5$ is still small money.

People don't really care to much,

$5 isn't small money, especially if you are getting them regularly, and for doing the stuff you would be doing anyway, with getting those bonuses or not.

I think it's nice of Duelbits to run various giveaways, like they do on twitter, or awarding people like you with $5 bonus and stuff. In fact, they are lowering their house edge this way, and still they are doing this for us, users of their site.
2634  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: September 27, 2022, 10:34:08 AM
Hey, @slaman29. This time I have zero Golden Tickets, so nothing to contribute to the pool from my side.

Regarding inviting others to join the pool, I think it would make sense only if we could gather at least 10% of the total amount of tickets.

There are 1,423,278 tickets currently, so 10% is an unreachable amount, but why that magic number, 10%, you may ask. Well, it's just a good probability to hope for the win, in my opinion, but, of course you can win with just a few tickets, which is what I wish for you.

Good luck, mate!

Fingers crossed. Smiley

10% of the total number of golden tickets is really a lot, but the chance of winning the Lambo lottery will still be small. So there is no reason to try to collect such a number of tickets, including using the pool. By the way, it's worth reminding that the lucky one in the previous round of the Lambo lottery had only 4305(~0.37%) tickets which surprisingly was enough to win.

That's why I said 10% was a good probability. Smiley

Winning with 0.1% win chance doesn't look like something impossible to me. I was winning with this probability many times. So, it's not a big surprise to me that the guy with 4305(~0.37%) won the Lambo last time. I wouldn't recommend to anyone buying more lottery tickets to increrase your win chance, but if you are getting them anyway, from your refs and from your wagering, or from the Wheel of Fortune

in fact, you are increasing your win chance.
2635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: September 27, 2022, 10:05:48 AM
~ I have a daughter and usually females are rarely attracted by strip clubs or gambling so I start advantaged in this way.If I had a son though I would make sure to show him by examples what this action brings now and in the future and to educate him on a case by case basis until he learned that everything that comes from something that you do not sweat for will not stay long with you,for example the money you win from gambling. You go back to the casino until you lose everything and that is the law of life otherwise we would have seen casinos made millionaires (I mean except people who win multi million dollar jackpots).

This is what I think about the example in the OP. Michael Jordan's son, Marcus Jordan, who is 31 years old now, by the way, learned from his own experience at the early age(19) that overusing gambling and night clubbing isn't a good thing for you and for those around you too. Three years later, in 2013, Marcus graduated with a degree in hospitality management. And 6 years later, in May of 2016, he opened a high-end sneaker store named the "Trophy Room". Now he's dating a famous TV star, Larsa Pippen, and there are no news of him being a gambling addict.

I think it's a good example of how you can learn from your own mistakes.

~ As i Know, there not so much working patterns against few types of users. Which will help you to win on the long run. So when two close-skilled players are playing against each other, mostly luck depends.

If you want more practice, you don't need any courses.

I was thinking like this for a long time, but then I changed my mind at some point.

Let's explore what we mean by a "skilled poker player". It's a player that knows how to beat most of the players around at the present time, right? I say "at the present time" because there is no eternal formula for winning in poker, it changes over time. But what is even more interesting, it's not constant from person to person too. So if you know your opponent better than he knows you, you have a good chance of beating him not only because of luck.

REFILE-Cost of crypto: report says U.S. bitcoin as dirty as 6 million cars
"LOS ANGELES, Sept 23 (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - The carbon footprint of the U.S. bitcoin industry is rising at breakneck speed, a report from environmental groups found on Friday, now rivaling the emissions of 6 million cars each year."

And yet, for the last few years, the US alone have manufactured between 8 and 12 million cars every year.  Funny how it's only a good thing when it's in their interests.

There are almost 1.5 billion cars in the world in 2022. This "6 million cars each year" argument is a weak one. Some people want to use cars and some people want to use Bitcoin. Why the former should be more privileged than the latter?

As for the switching to PoS resulting in using less energy, here's a nice article on that:

2639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My worst day in gambling on: September 26, 2022, 10:18:21 AM
I believe everybody has their worst day in gambling especially if you started gambling early maybe in your teenage age. My worst day was when I used my school fees to gamble because I thought I will make more money to take care of some of my needs in school. At the beginning I was making profit for 2hrs,I was carried away with the anxiety of winning but later the game turned round and I was losing and losing,I didn't quit hoping I will recover my lost. Before I knew it I was left with 10% of the money I started with, I couldn't just quit the game then because I still feel I will start winning again but luck failed me and I got drained of all I have on me.

Two weeks later it was announced in school that we only had one more week left for closure of school fees payment, I tried borrowing, seek for help everywhere but nobody could help me with the money.  This was how I couldn't pay my fee for that semester and went home with carry overs after the end of the semester as I was not allowed to write some exams.

How about you do you had a worst day on gambling  that you will never forget ?Did it affect an aspect of your life and how ?

My worst day so far was when I accidentally hit the MAX button on a dice site, and thus bet 0.006+ BTC with 0.5% win chance. I lost it all in the blink of an eye, but I keep wondering what if I accidentally won? It would be my best day in gambling then. Smiley

As for the similar situations you described, I had several of them, when I was losing $5-$10 on slots and wanted to win it back, but only ended up losing $20-$30 more. It was painful, but not as dramatic as in your case. Next time never risk more than you can afford to lose.

You should move this on the proper thread such as gambling discussion or on Duelbits ANN thread to share your experience and not here because this section is for scam accusation topic related. It seems that you are a bit overjoyed to your winnings that you forgot the functionality of the section here in the forum.

That is some juicy win and congratulations to your profit. You have a steel balls on believing that Canelo will still win to GGG via decision.

it was predictable both of great chin and never got ko. canelo is better and beat him a few years ago.  GGG is now 40 years old.
I was certain 100% that he would beat him by decision. many of the boxing/mma matches are predictable like this one.

C'mon, man! Smiley If you are betting on sports long enough, you know that there are times when you are 100% certain about the outcome, and you place your bet and yet you lose.

I congratulate you, of course, that's a nice win, but don't make the same mistake many gamblers make, thinking that they "have figured it out" after a win or two. Just enjoy your win and carry on. Smiley
