Edit: Now I'm having the same problem again. Really slow, slowing everything else down, constant "Not responding" message, and doesn't reopen if I minimize it. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? Sorry, no idea. I'll ask some people.

the majority of people just pump and dump altcoins for a quick profit and move on to the next one. Not sure what I believe will happen once POW is over I hope the coin succeeds but only time will tell. You are right. Majority of coins. Mintcoin has the potential for more but we have to fight against inertia. We are devoted to make it work and for this we need support. We have several merchants already, a great website, quite a community... but we also have tons of FUD. The best way to fight FUD is to give example. Unfortunately, so far there is not such thing people can buy with the present value of mintcoin. We have to obtain trust for price to grow up and then attain the critical mass where stuff can actually be bought with mintcoins.

David,
The Contrast between Green and White is too much.
Fill in the background with silver/ light grey and the logo looks much better
I edited it with a couple ideas,
PM me your email address and I will send it to you Thanks tokyo, I sent you a PM. But I think we must no make incremental change, we have to change the whole thing. Lightbulb was not invented by improving upon candlestick.

Sorry David, but those look like crap. That's why we need webdesigner to improve upon them. Do you know some?

Hi everyone, (cross-posted from http://www.mintcointalk.com/index.php?topic=249.msg690#msg690 - http://www.mintcointalk.com/ should become more active, to give incentive to people to actually be in the mintcoin community) The mintcoin logo could be much better. Here are some proposal. We need both you opinion and new logos ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi59.tinypic.com%2F2cie8v6.jpg&t=663&c=aKjDvp4WxDQOvQ) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi57.tinypic.com%2F21khvgi.jpg&t=663&c=xRsVdD9Lyj90Og) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi57.tinypic.com%2F21npcgp.jpg&t=663&c=DkXeBoC91Z36-w) A fourth proposal (only consider the second line, not the logo). This one conveys a feeling of lightness and accessibility, which is, quite literally, refreshing (pun intended). ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi60.tinypic.com%2Fotkp3o.jpg&t=663&c=CkgRv7D9bQP-pg) I need you to propose other logos. This is important for crypto adoption, since the logo is one of the things people will notice first! Oh, one more thing: remember there is a bounty attached to it. Thanks.

Sold my mint at 50 the other day but think I may buy back in with these low prices. What to do what to do Lucky you ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) My advice: keep your initial investment to you. Any extra should go to buy now.

From how i have read it, I think its says that they are going to pump 4000 btc into the mint markets. So, a massive pump is on the way? Would be the right moment to sell (and buy back cheaper later). It should the second last time, since last halving will be next week. I don't know, thats just what I think what it says. I could be wrong though. Looks like it. Adding and removing bitcoins to increase volatility (source: http://mint.dogetrader.co): ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi61.tinypic.com%2F9px2kp.png&t=663&c=yCuw5afSUTDypA)

Stop spamming, thanks. In other news: http://mint.dogetrader.co/ tells me the balance has reversed since yesterday : more buying than selling. Pump incoming?

it says something different (translation) Because we need to go abroad, our purpose is to let more Chinese people buy and hold. I can't say more, but I can tell you 4000 COINS is a start Thanks for your much better translation. Any idea what he is talking about? mintcoin is no way near 4000 satoshi, so he might have post on the wrong page.

[coin age] would affect fungibility I don't think so. Since everytime you move coin from one wallet to another, the time is reset, the age does not have to move with the coin. It doesn't even have to be in the coin, just in the wallet.dat.

因为我们需要在国外造势,我们的目的是为了让更多的中国人购买并持。我不能说更多了,但是我可以告诉你4000个比特币只是一个开始 Translation (Google): Because we need to rally in a foreign country, our aim is to allow more Chinese people to buy and hold. I can not say more, but I can tell you that 4000 is just the beginning of bitcoin

Also i am still looking for help on creating the "How to get mints for dummies " guide, after all English is not my language and i could use a native speakers help ! I'll arrange the translator to come in. Leave some hours sleeping and it should be fine. To all: mintcoin is more than a pump and dump. Tomorrow pump, later on dump but as kopam said, mintcoin already survived several pumps. Remember: mintcoin is a long-term coin. And it depends on you folks contacting merchants.

I liked your article! Don't hesitate to post more. The more traffic, the more people (including Google) will be interested and your mintcoins will be worth money.
|
|
|
Could you share with us the reason you believe so (honest question)? How it that different from Peercoin?
|
|

Really appreciate the work you're doing with MINT. The website is A+++ Adding language options to the mintcoin website at the moment. Will be available in Chinese tomorrow and many more languages following on from that. +1 +1 Truly folks, a currency does not succeed on its merits alone but also on the amount of support it receives. I'd like to thank all the translator who contacted us!
