I wish if that estimation would became reality at some point, but for that we need much more acceptance from individuals up to govt level. Unfortunately at this moment I don't see the masses banging the miners doors for moar bitcoins or govts lining up for supporting it .

Sounds like a good solution. Isn't bitcoin basically backed by computer chips (processing power)?
but energy prices can change substantially; but maybe not more variable than gold or oil
So, we a re heading back to the ancient Egyptian banking system what was based on grains .

--> tell me some please
As it's quite similar to NXT it has many of the same or similar interesting stuff like AE, voting, alias system. technologically far superior to most of the altcoins --> explain why?
I'm not a Java fan, but I must admit it makes it more portable, you don't need a relative expensive mining gear, not sensitive to 51% attacks, flexible and relative easy to extend with third party apps or plugins without any further modifications. So I think it's could be much better or at least more interesting than the mainstream BTC/LTC/PPC clones.

Accepted, but please remember not to go two weeks without posting like last month. Have a look at the conditions in OP.
I'm not planning to go to another holiday in the near future .

Every day more and more things crawling out of this primordial soup. Some of those are inventive and may survive, but the most are dead ends what going to extinct and will be replaced by something new. Evolution at it's best .

The lack of interest for Qora is really odd. It has tons of great features, technologically far superior to most of the altcoins but only very few ppl looks interested. Probably the marketing isn't good enough.

Well, they'll be able to sell them, trade them on exchanges, but I won't be promoting that. It'll be used as an in-game currency. If people want to list it on exchanges, buy/sell it, that's up to them, but the game will determine the value of the currency more than the markets will.
I'm not closing off the ability to withdraw the currency. That's part of the appeal. As it's an in-game currency it will be used to buy/sell "items" within the game. So you'll be able to deposit and withdraw freely.
If you make it tradeable then you will have little control over the price. As I can recall about a year or year and a half ago someone who used Litecoin as ingame currency on his server was desperately looking for other solutions here, because of the instability of the LTC price crashed the whole ingame economy as LTC usage lead to inflated prices, disparities in production and some players were hoarding building plots and created an ingame property buble .

Maybe ripple (I mean the ripple network but not XRP) could be an option for you. You don't need to mine you can try to make an in-game gateway or you can access an external gateway if the game has the some API for exchanging data with third party apps.
Thanks, but I want a decentralised cryptocurrency. Ripple isn't technically a cryptocurrency. Nor are NXT assets that I'm aware. However, if this means I need 0 miners to maintain the network, then that could be a plus. Right now I'm just looking for any easy way to launch a scrypt altcoin. If you want to make it decentralized with many nodes then you need to make it minable, to attract miners you need to provide some incentive, but something what they can't sell isn't an incentive so you will need an exchange then, and then...then ... welcome to the shitcoin business . This is why NXT AE (or the AE on one of it's clones) or ripple could be a better "miner free" low maintenance way. As NXT AE is sitting on the top of a decentralized network maybe that one is your best choice.

"Rimbit is derived from Peercoin and has: - 8 minute block targets - 380 million initial coins to be distributed. - 10% interest for roughly one year and then 5% interest. - 100% PoS after 1000 blocks." 1.08 USD for 1 Rimbit? Isn't that too much? Guys, anyone who wanna buy some two million community coins for 0.5 USD each ? Just because of this rimbit is technologically the same stuff. Edit: with the same amount of services (means, nil) as I see.

Probably they are more busy with their traditional businesses like human trafficking, prostitution, scrap metal trading, running beggar groups, or being a loan shark, so I doubt that they would running pump and dump groups. Certainly I can't rule out the existence of such groups because if such activities are perfect for money laundering.

can someone explain how jl777 is linkined into this?
As I heard jl777 gave some 70BTC worth NXT to bluemeanie1 for some job what he failed to complete and also forgot to give back the NXT or something like that.

Occasionally. Sometimes just generic hints, but sometimes shockingly specific details, like the exam questions what I really got on the next morning theoretical examination. Unfortunately no lottery or trading tips .

They don't even banned BCX, this forum is the wild-west!
BCX is far more careful with personal data and he not used to bragging around with his latest IRL vendettas, in addition he's not getting involved in illegal activities... or at least not openly on an easy to prove way .
