2621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think topics/discussion on gambling addictions is too much on: July 03, 2023, 06:15:47 PM
You fear addiction talk is deterring rookies, affecting casino earnings? Your focus is amusing. User wellness should be our main concern. If risk discussions dissuade someone, isn't it beneficial? It's preferable they back off than blindly risk a trap. As for casino profits, they can attract freshers. We should advocate responsible gambling over just the entertainment. Because, losing your savings and life's balance isn't enjoyable!
That is why we shouldn't fear talking about addiction risks, especially towards newbies. They really have to be concerned regards addiction, while learning how gambling works, what they can expect from it and how to play in a healthy responsible way before depositing considerable sums of money on platforms to bet. Gambling can be destructive if not practiced responsively and if we avoid talking about it, we are actually creating more issues, since newbies will engage themselves with this activity without knowing the basics, consequently putting themselves in a big financial crisis later.

The lessons to learn from this kind of topic are inexhaustible. From trying to move away from the act of playing uncontrollably to the financial burden and obviously, those who are married have alot to learn from it because addiction in gambling usually set couples apart if the wife is not in support of it. People are sharing enormous experience of their experience on it and effort made on the good sides or and the bad side.
2622  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Teaching as before makes no sense on: July 03, 2023, 05:12:10 PM

People in school need to at an early age be introduced to machine learning and AI tech from the least sophisticated machines and AI knowledge and as they develop more and progress in school, more complex machine learning and AI tech will be taught.

This is more of my earlier response. In the past it was a pride that a little boy or girl in a family has started going out in the morning to school but because of some failure in education system of some countries, that zeal for learning is falling. Most homes don't have that push to go to school because they expect employment to be the end result unfortunately that is not happening as Al techniques are taking over the job space. The class of parents that are committed to still see their children to school are those who are educated themselves because they know education is an asset. The government has to fund education more and restrategize on the curriculum where it will capture sound teaching techniques and practicals because practical is fast disappearing.
2623  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is Stake.com allowed to lock account with $6,000 untill I lose it all? on: July 03, 2023, 04:50:59 PM
When we are staking with centralised exchange we have to know that KYC is important when they require it and even along the way the casino might still introduce it even if abinitio it was not required and this happens because it is centralized and we can do little or nothing about it. In this case when you were having this back and forth with stake, you continued trying your luck to win more but you admitted that you couldn't win because of your own fault. Now regarding to your ticket history, you said this issue was along time ago. So do you know if it was stated in their ToS that history might be deleted after a certain time? Or that it was deleted because you have stayed away longer. But it is given that KYC when requested should be fulfilled before further activities on the casino or exchange because you won't be allowed to withdraw your funds.
2624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does lottery rewards expire? on: July 03, 2023, 03:24:22 PM

I feel that with some casino's, if the prize money is unclaimed, they may need to retrieve it so that it can be rewarded to another person who is available to claim it. After a period of time and your reward money is unclaimed, many things can be assumed to have happened to you.

How can that be possible that a casino will retrieve a lottery reward from an unclaimed participant due to one reason or the other and give it to another account or person who did not participate. You have to participate in the lottery or have an account registered for that to be entitled to a reward and you won't have to benefit from another person's win. If the participant is unable to claim it I think it returns to the casino but not to someone who didn't apply for it or qualified for it.
2625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 03, 2023, 02:31:41 PM

I am not God. Just trying to show how to control my gambling addiction. No matter success or fail at the end, at least I am trying and do my best. If there is a good result, it may supply some references for the people who are suffering. Anything can have a huge influence on anyone even a smile from stranger. You may take it as a joke because you already have plenty in your life. For some guys, that smile may change their lives. Most of my words are useless, but I still hope few of them can be good for someone. That's all I want.

I understand that even smile can be a therapy to heal someone but that is not just smile that will do the remedy or magic but it involves other support given to the person. My point is support to a gambling addict involves physical help like as I have mentioned earlier which will make the addict refrain from the act, like if you restrict his movements, seize his phone which is easily done through the wife, family relatives or friends. Even a mad man can be resuscitated if you limit him by moving out like quarantining him and make sure he heeds to the medication routine. But only sending instructions through YouTube streaming on how to stop addiction do not produce the physical help needed if there is nobody to support.
2626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 03, 2023, 01:14:21 PM
I think the real discussion is not to allow gambling addiction control you because you need limit to everything and not to abuse whatever you do. If someone is gambling excessively, he is likely to be looking for income through it and no longer fun which is suppose to be the primary aim.

If you cannot quit by yourself, there are so many channels to help you. Even you can talk to me. I will do my best to help you.

What are you really going to do when you are miles away on the internet. I understand addicts need physical presence and help, like they could be restricted from their phones, places to visit or taken to rehap and all that requires physical presence. It is not enough to direct an addict on websites to visit to gain knowledge on how to stop gambling or streaming it on YouTube but it requires other physical actions on the addict.
2627  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should the government be allowed to keep secrets from their people? on: July 03, 2023, 09:06:15 AM

There's nothing wrong with the government keeping things about safety and privacy private if they're not misusing it.

The government will not misuse secret if they are secret. They are used for public good and benefit. If government has a secret about a few people who are eating the economy dry then takes a decision against those few for them to be punished against what they have been doing, that should not be seen as misuse but as the right thing to do for the economy to benefit the majority. If few people are benefiting from the government and the majority are not, the government is suppose to take adequate measures to break such clique so that all will enjoy governance.
2628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does lottery rewards expire? on: July 03, 2023, 07:37:29 AM
I know about the national lotteries if that is what you want to know. Usually it has a claim date or duration for you to come up with your winning ticket to claim it and if that duration is exhausted, you will hardly get that winning reward back. It is about 180 days that it is placed for claiming. So to that effect, before you play it you are told some of the conditions to claim it including tax on it just like claiming the huge winning from offline gambling sites .

Natural intelligence is being replaced by Al. This is the situation of things with the way all is going. The pursuit for the creation of wealth has led to growth in technology and job loss. When you build hotel in space, how many humans do you expect to work there as hotel attendance? Of course you need bots to do most of the jobs  Grin There is positive in negative, advantage and disadvantage, they all make the world a better place.
2630  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this a Strategy? Is it a good Strategy? on: July 02, 2023, 08:46:12 PM

Also, could this be considered as a strategic element of their business or career strategy? And If so, is this a good strategy?

Such news keep the public in expectation and it generate attention which is a marketing strategy on its own. In marketing, you need to get the audience or attention of whoever you are trying to convince and in this case, it worked very well that the public are so eager to see that happen and so they kept talking about them, checking up on their social media handles which automatically increase the numbers of views, likes and also followership. Followership is important for them so whether the news created positive or negative atmosphere for them, it surely had a positive influence on their status.
2631  Economy / Speculation / Re: Less than 300 days left to halving - price predictions for The Day? on: July 02, 2023, 07:23:44 PM
The price of bitcoin have actually perform pretty good this season when it is expected to go down in expectation of the halving. If the price have stayed this high compared to how it has been dropping then I think the price after halving may be about 500% or 600% from its current price especially with the expectation on the next halving.

2633  Economy / Gambling / Re: won cash x drop but no prize?? on: July 02, 2023, 06:05:54 PM

Anyone know how these contests work? Like shouldn't they just airdrop whatever into the wallet that played the game which won the prize? I shouldn't have to do anything right?

What contest are you talking about precisely? You posted stuff without any clue and you want answers from the blues. If you have participated in a contest through a casino and you are legitimately approved to participate then you shouldn't have an issue with your airdrops except this is about something else that one will know later. You have to provide more details for more on that.

2635  Economy / Gambling / Re: Whats happening with Betnomi? on: July 02, 2023, 04:07:36 PM

It's the same message for me as well now "Sorry we are down...", and this morning I played a few rounds of Farkle without any problems. I guess it's hard to be calm about this, especially if someone has some balance on the site, but I hope everything will be alright.

I don't think it's something serious, Betnomi is around for a long time, they probably have some problems and I guess we will see them online when they fix it.

In such situation that they are genuinely down for the sake of maintenance, they should be able to make official statement so that their restive customers will be assured they are coming back after such maintenance. Moreover such unannounced maintenance really look worrisome or they had some glitch. I can imagine what is going on in the minds of those having huge balance and large withdrawal to make.
2636  Economy / Economics / Re: Helpful mineral resources on: July 02, 2023, 03:32:55 PM
Africa countries have the challenge of leadership not that they don't have what it takes but selfish interest which is why they run under the developed countries. The human and material resources for Africa to develop itself are there but they fail to harmonize what they have. Take Nigeria for example, all states of the country has natural resources in commercial deposit but only leadership is the challenge. Nigeria is suppose to be the commercial base of Africa with her population but no directional leadership for the continent, which is the bane for the continent.

Some countries need to act freely on many issues in order to use their resources. We call the countries that can make this move in the world already strong countries. Therefore, it is education that needs to be corrected from the very beginning. If this is fixed, the problems we mentioned will be fixed as well.

Even if you have done everything, the concept of leader you mentioned is a must for a country. That's when they can harmonize what they have with each other. But often things turn upside down and come to selfish interests. That's why good things don't happen.

If you check some continent who were in the race of under development with Africa, you will see that they have understood the purpose of focus leadership and you see were they are today economically. Particularly the 4 that are called the Asian tigers namely Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore. Singapore for example is far growing in production and exportation , they have witnessed tremendous economic growth that they are fast becoming destination area for Nigerians and Africa at large. In the production of automobile, South Korea is creating an outstanding market for herself.

The Chinese are not left out of these countries that have got their leadership technique right. The extent of the trade war with the biggest economy of America deserve more to be mentioned. China is into world class construction. India is creating a world class health sector and soon becoming a health tourism center all because of leadership while most of these countries don't have the natural resources embedded in Africa.

2638  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad impact when You carry out Online or Offline Loans on an ongoing basis on: July 02, 2023, 09:28:59 AM
Try as much as possible to avoid loans most especially personal loans unless the interest is at 0%, which is impossible to get to this day.

Yes it is impossible. Government will not even give you zero percent loan. They can extend the time for repayment which impact of repayment will not be a burden to the borrower. They may give grants like agricultural research grant and others, grants don't come with interest or collateral because it is government approved program to help the people in their different business but they can monitor the progress of the grant given.

So at that to become financially stable, try as much as possible to avoid taking loans, loans also have their implications and for that, anyone getting involved in loans is also getting into indebtedness.

The challenge with loan is that as soon as the deal is signed, the days starts counting but loan collectors don't begin to plan on how to repay as it started counting until the date for repayment approach. I don't think there is much that is wrong with collecting loan especially when it is used for capital projects like buying of fixed properties like land and building of house. If you pick a loan to build a home, hostel or other structure that will be put out for lease then at the expiration of the loan date you can lease the place and starts to repay and finally the place will automatically return to you as your asset. Many rich people collect loan from banks to execute projects and they reach agreement with the bank on how long lease they will collect from the project.

So It all depends on the purpose that the loan was collected.

Anyone know what is happening with Betnomi?
the sportsbook has not been working for over a week
and withdrawals have been pending for even longer.

If it has not been working could mean anything. So narrow your complain down to explain what response you are getting from them when you try to process your action. Or maybe they are having some issues that you need to confirm. Check on their thread to know if they have any issue

Not just for me but for everyone.

How do you know about this? Or you have more than one account and have tried using those accounts.

Have you written to the service center?
2640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Experienced Winning Bets By Upsets on: July 02, 2023, 07:43:57 AM

And what made you bet on the underdogs is it because of insider tips or just an insight based on your analysis?

I have noticed a game sometime in the past maybe two years ago where the odds for the team that was seen as underdog was very high while in the actual that team was not the underdog against there opponent. Whether this was a mistake or not but many bettors saw this as opportunity because they were quite sure it was not right odd for the team and behold, all those who took the advantage to bet in the favour of the "underdog" were all in profit. So underdogs varies and they cause upset alot .

Why bettors go for underdogs is when the prediction and analysis favour them.

Your level of risk when betting for underdogs in the hope of winning by upsets?

Yeah if you believe them to win, you increase your staking power and take the chance of the odd.
