Lindsey Graham: 'I may have the first all-Jewish cabinet in America'Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) spoke bluntly about his plans for raising campaign funds for his prospective presidential campaign in an interview published today on “Washington Wire,” a Wall Street Journal blog. Over a glass of Riesling, according to the account, he answered a series of questions, including how he plans to finance his campaign. He described “the means” as the biggest hurdle facing his potential campaign, adding: If I put together a finance team that will make me financially competitive enough to stay in this thing… I may have the first all-Jewish cabinet in America because of the pro-Israel funding. [Chuckles.] Bottom line is, I’ve got a lot of support from the pro-Israel funding. Graham hasn’t made any secret of his desire to curry favor from the RJC’s pro-Netanyahu, pro-Likud board of directors. But suggesting that “pro-Israel funding” may determine his choice of cabinet secretaries (as well as his policies) may make even his potential benefactors squirm just a little bit in light of the purposes to which real anti-Semites who believe “Jewish money” controls the U.S. government might put such a statement. Indeed, pro-Israel heavyweights, such as Sheldon Adelson, Paul Singer, and other heavyweight donors of the Republican Jewish Coalition, are emerging as the go-to funders of the Republican Party. Graham’s observation—whether meant lightly or not (or uttered under the influence of the Riesling)— tends to confirm that access to their millions is critical to the fortunes of any Republican presidential candidate in 2016. Rand Paul and a Moment of Truth for American JournalismIt was one of the most gratifying exchanges in recent political memory. When U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) announced his presidential campaign recently, he made a standard campaign stop in New Hampshire. While there, a reporter trotted out one of the standard questions any Republican receives when he declares he is running for national office: What are the exceptions to your views about preventing abortions? Democrats are never – ever – asked what limits they would place on the current federal policy of unrestricted access to abortion-on-demand. To do so would be to assume that any rational person could believe that abortion absolutism is anything but received dogma, something no self-respecting establishment journalist would ever do (at least if he or she wanted to continue working in "mainstream" journalism). ‘What I Saw Disgusted Me’: Black Rand Paul Supporter Saw This Comment About Her & Had to Speak Out“Last night a Facebook notification showed up on my screen. A friend had posted a picture to my wall. What I saw disgusted me.” That’s how Zuri Davis, 19, describes the moment she saw a Facebook post targeting her for being a black, female supporter of Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.). “A FEMALE AFRICAN AMERICAN who is standing with Rand,” the post said. “She must not realize the platform. The fact he’s pretty much regarded as racist, sexist, a**hole along with the rest of his party.” “Honey, honey, honey,” it added. Pics and more... http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2015/04/24/what-i-saw-disgusted-me-black-rand-paul-supporter-saw-this-comment-about-her-had-to-speak-out/

Anyone placing bets how much longer the US can keep up the current trajectory before the house of cards comes crashing down or will this just gradually just keep diminishing? The most interesting and perhaps unfortunate aspect to this whole thing is the sheer numbers of people who have no plan at all to deal w/ such a scenario outside of the survival, metals and bitcoin types. The boobs' ignorance and bliss will become their terror.

The previous generations didn't pay their share. No real reason to expect we'll pay ours either.
They sure are collecting their share these days tho. They're the lion's share of the voters that have allowed these politicians to entrench themselves so well and creating the permanent political class and their lobbyist backers.

If this is maturity then gawd help us. I think 'dead' is a more appropriate piece of terminology to use.
It's not being used by 'real' people in anything but piffling numbers and the speculators have probably been reduced to a bunch of die hards who'll never leave.
That's not a platform for healthy growth. It would be better to fall further and to be discovered by a new wave of genuine humans.
Hyperbole much? All it takes to bring new users and further adoption to btc is a rising price. If you don't think this bear market hasnt been engineered by a small number of heavy speculators then you are unlikely to see the next spark until the price unexpectedly breaks the downtrend line in the coming three months (on massive volume, ostensibly linked to some newsflow). The same lemmings that are short selling bitcoin now (and who don't get burnt in the turn) will buy the price back up with the same vigour they are selling it. Totally, not only engineered this crapshoot of a market but keeps extending it til their ready to go boom. Patience is a virtue for those that hold and keep adding and will be handsomely rewarded for doing so.

Just vote on the poll and maybe add a comment why.
I voted for yes i am bullish because we have to remember the amount of investments that has gone into this recently it has not reflected in the price at all as far as i am aware because of the manipulation, but i am pretty sure before long we will see it break out. User adoption rising and i am just an all around positive person, so that reflects my vote.. All VC investments won't do anything for price within the next two or three years. All they do is help building an infrastructure that may be very useful in a few years. Don't get me wrong, this is very very important and a very positive thing but it won't affect the price at all for the time being. The price will be definitely making a move and likely a major move during your time frame and I would proffer that the upgrades in infrastructure will be contributing underlying sentiments that help fuel the good times. We are way undervalued for current times, it's just that big dogs are buying time for their associates to build their stash and let the upcoming institutional tools to kick off the next run. At least that's what I think, to each their own.

Six years ago, at Mrs. Clinton's confirmation hearing for her appointment as secretary of state, then-Sen. Dick Lugar observed that 'that foreign governments and entities may perceive the Clinton Foundation as a means to gain favor with the secretary of state.' He was right, and his remarks remain relevant today as Mrs. Clinton seeks the presidency," said Common Cause President Miles Rapoport.

Owners of Gay Hotel Face Boycott After Meeting With Ted Cruz HELL'S KITCHEN — The owners of gay hotel and wedding spot The OUT sparked outrage and a boycott after meeting with Republican presidential hopeful Senator Ted Cruz Monday. Co-owners Ian Reisner and Mati Weiderpass, who also own a large stake in gay beach resort the Fire Island Pines, faced mounting criticism both online and from hotel clients after the meeting. AIDS charity Broadway Cares canceled a May 10 event set to be held at the hotel's club, 42 West, because of the meeting, they said in a release. "We cannot in good conscience hold an event at a venue whose owners have alienated our community," they said in a statement. http://www.dnainfo.com/new-york/20150424/hells-kitchen-clinton/owners-of-gay-hotel-face-boycott-ted-cruz-meeting-with-ted-cruz

Has anyone heard anything regarding the shares now that coinsetter has taken over?
Jaron (from Coinsetter) told people inquiring to email him. I have not myself. I do know that despite all the e-mails from Amy (?) I still haven't received my actual share paperwork. After this time that has went by, I'm not exactly bullish on this situation. It would've helped if customer service reps would've gotten back w/ folks. Shareholders look for hope or do whatever they do..

Rand Paul opposes online gambling restrictions – but not without heavy pushbackSen. Paul’s stance has put him in the good graces of online poker advocates for his position and even Legaluspokersites.com has posted many supportive comments: “Looks like online poker players have a candidate they can support for president.” “I like him, but he would be my last choice anyway….Ted Cruz is a poker maestro.” “He just got my vote. lololol” “Awesome. He is against RAWA and he is against gun control. Guess I’m voting for Rand Paul.” “As someone who really wants poker back, this might take my vote.” Unfortunately for Paul, conservative mega-donor, Sheldon Adelson, doesn’t embrace the senator’s hands off approach on this issue. Adelson, who is also a Las Vegas casino magnate, has vowed to “spend whatever it takes” to stop online gambling from becoming a widely legalized practice, citing “moral standards” for his stance. How one can moralize against online gambling while simultaneously holding the position of CEO to the Las Vegas Sands Corporation is questionable. Adelson, with his massive financial resources, has pushed efforts to pass the Restoration of America’s Wire Act (RAWA), which was reintroduced in February by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) for the second time. The bill would effectively strengthen the language of the original Wire Act, passed in 1961, in order to ban the practice of online gambling altogether. Read more at http://rare.us/story/rand-paul-opposes-online-gambling-restrictions-but-not-without-heavy-pushback/#5zKmxTqoJ3L8yrqi.99 Online poker is a great issue for Rand to improve name recognition with "mainstream" people heading out for a Friday night poker party, a local bar, etc. I hope that all lower key poker players that want online poker to take hold will do their thing and back Rand over this single issue voter situation. I haven't bellied up to a table to gamble in years (despite me running on this turf) but hopefully this will bring waves of those that make lucrative loot off of poker to Rand's corner. No other option at this point.

Your best bet in viewing Rand Paul under the microscope is checking out what his old man puts out on a regular basis and then realize that Rand isn't far from the tree but just sticking and moving along the mainstream trendline. Those that understand liberty realize that he has to thread the needle and to run under (not with) the neocon media propaganda lines while hoping the supposed intelligent supporters of his old man see the bigger picture as things go forward. Rand offers certain talking points that resonate w/ true libertarians and others that blend in w/ normal conservatives and other mainstream republicans. Don't let your diet for hyper-libertarian speak at all times cloud your mind about where Rand really stands nor whom in the establishment recognize as on their side. There's a republican primary coming up and if you're libertarian/anarchist in the states that doesn't vote for him in lieu of going rogue/not voting/waiting for general election to vote third party, then you've succumbed to the 'good is the enemy of the perfect' argument. The same one used by neocon republicans to not eventually go in for Rand against Hillary. Pick your poison.

Support what you know! BTC talks for me.
Okay. Now what if other candidates start accepting Bitcoin donations and support it. Will you do more research to determine the best candidate then? I hope you get a pro-bitcoin candidate, but I also think stable foreign relations with Iran would be good (afair Rand Paul wants trade sanctions on Iran) Rand's bitcoin stance hardly has anything to do with his position on Iran and he's only posturing on it (Iran) to meet certain criteria in a GOP primary, since the right media has been droning about on it and thus indoctrinating those on the right form a certain opinion about it going forward.

Right now the signing bonus check is about 50 B.I still believe liberals should get someone, anyone else than hillary... There's no chance that another liberal would be the coast-is-clear candidate for bitcoin or liberty like Rand already is. Hillary is already likely the death of crypto since she's the syren of major monetary interests that may not jive with it. She's a banker stalwart of the largest order, let's just state that as the ultimate fact.

I think the best advice at this time is just for everyone to dump the hell out of this thing and let the believers pick up the pieces. Or, hang on and buy the shit out of this pricing in a bold testament to the future of how things will look later this summer and so on. Certain folks want to accumulate so do the right thing and let them sneak in your back door and kick you to the curb and wash your hands of this historical relic.

Anyhow, monkey sees 2-3 hours of downside intraday, followed by another attack on resistance at 237 on the daily chart, which seems likely to succeed this time; but, 296 is almost certain to hold, if it is even achievable before the run down to 180 which monkey expects on the weekly chart. I'm not impressed. Yeah, that was what I was thinking at about 3pm est, not even sure about the 296 thing. I was just assuming the dude had a bot running and somehow was able to forecast based upon that. I then looked at the different charts and thought that I'd throw in the towel on this one.

The Hillary Clinton campaign is fundraising off new reporting in the Peter Schweizer book Clinton Cash. "There's a new book out -- written by a former Republican operative with ties to a Koch-funded organization -- that uses allegations and conspiracy theories to stitch together a false narrative about Hillary without producing a single shred of evidence," writes Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta in an email to supporters. Here's what you need to know from some of the reviews so far: TIME magazine says one of the book's primary accusations "is based on little evidence" with allegations "presented as questions rather than proof." Yahoo News points out that the author "marshals circumstantial evidence" only to find "no smoking gun." We're only two weeks into the election and we're already up against these baseless attacks. If we don't fight back now, we send a signal to our opponents that we'll shrivel in the face of whatever will follow. This is an important moment in this campaign. Podesta asks the supporters join the campaign and ask others to do so, too. And then, at the bottom of the email, is a Donate button: http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/hillary-responds-clinton-cash-asking-more-cash_929073.html

... In 2004, the federal debt was $7.3 trillion. This rose to $10 trillion when the housing bubble burst four years later. Today it exceeds $18 trillion and is projected to approach $21 trillion by 2019. When you break this down to an amount per taxpayer, the numbers are substantial. The chart below contains this data which shows how it has more than doubled over the past 11 years, rising from $72,051 per taxpayer in 2004 to $154,161 today. As the debt continues higher, the liability of every taxpayer is also rising. The change in the amount of the federal debt per taxpayer from 2004 to 2015 represents an average annual increase of 7.16%. This is much more than the average annual wage increase during the same period. ... http://www.forbes.com/sites/mikepatton/2015/04/24/national-debt-tops-18-trillion-guess-how-much-you-owe/I guess if we keep the front and back doors open and allow as many immigrants to come in and offer amnesty to the rest, we can spread the tab out more evenly. Anyone want to load up the truck and come settle down? The more the merrier at this point.
