Apparently there is an alternative like bitpay for altcoins: https://www.coinpayments.netThey appear to accept quite alot of altcoins , however no NXT (technical issues  ) If these technical issues is a constraint to get a currency accepted to an exchange or other thing like this coinpayments, is this something that can be taken into account during development? Or is this just something that the exchanges have to deal with? Well I'd assume that the NXT API is different for a reason so it's probably something that the exchanges are going to have to deal with. |

the way it is written is misleading! it should have stated that buy ins for relatives are allowed, however to do so you must set up a second acc for your relative. this would have been much much clearer!

these are two separate statements and do not read the way you may intend. this is very very misleading and if it had be communicated correctly this error never would have happened! if it had been written correctly i would have just opened the second account!
Well many people seem to have understood it. TBH I would never have understood it "your" way but hey... Look it's really not that big a deal. If your brother is interested, he can open an account and claim the second stake you already bought. |

hi on your plan thing it says anyone with duplicate names will be removed from stake holder list, however it also says you can claim a stake for a relative.. i did so with my own account so my name is in the list twice but i stated on the comment that it is for my brother?? i dont think i have broken any rules have i??
Unfortunately you have broken the rules. It is correct that you are allowed to claim a second stake but only with a second account. The reson for that is that we don't need investors as much as participants. Every stakeholder should have an account because every stakeholder should participate in the movement. However if your second stake get's removed you will not loose your money. AFAIK worst thing that can happen is being refunded. but it doesnt say anywhere that i have to open a second account.. it states that "In short - We can't. PayPal shuts you down before you can say "new econom... aaaan your shut down.
If you wan't to work with wire transfer you have to go through tons of legal issues.
Physically sending the money takes way to long.
We can start with FIAT <-- BTC --> NEM Yeah, well that's the basics...I sure hope will get that going but going beyond that would be a huge deal. I wonder if we can get some exchange to treat NEM just like bitcoin.... |

hey it looks really good  . fb ... when looking NEM logo and phrases outside of cryptoworld, I started thinking, if that "No Envy" is good statement - or not. It contains kind of double negative, which ofc produces a positive thing, but ... is two negative words good for NEM's outfit for mainstreams? In here, in crypto forums, we all, or almost all, know what that "Envy" refers, but what about the outer world, which has much more people than these forums? No Envy ==> New Egalitarian ? one more sketch / idea for the logo : /img] ... NEM is New Economy Movement ; "new" means it is just to be created, "movement" means that something is the goal of our work, the goal = another economy. So the Economy is the key. What can present this new Economy? Here it is just a simple E. A better one to be defined... (it depends on the goal of the NEM devs and ideologists. Eg. will the egalitarity have an important role also in the future activity and processes or just in the creation. I don't know ... another idea for the logo form ( colors to be defined.... ) :  There is a logo of a toilet paper company or some company that makes something with paper that looks just like this |

I added the numbers in the above quite but i did not alter the text. 1. Translation is not the goal here. AFAIK NEM is also going to be built with JAVA so it's not the right word either. I think the goal is to have our own solid codebase and since quite a few things are being changed it's probably better to start over. 2. How so ? (I'm actually interested so plz do answer ) 3. From the dev plan (I thought you read it ?): NEM will have two types of nodes: server nodes and normal nodes.
Server nodes will store a full blockchain history. The full blockchain will serve as a public ledger, which will be important in order to preserve blockchain explorer functionality. Server nodes will publish all nodes and also a consolidated snapshot.
Normal nodes will connect to the network and request a consolidated snapshot from the server nodes. This snapshot will contain balance information for all accounts as well information about outstanding orders. Snapshots will be made daily and will include data from all confirmed blocks. After syncing the snapshot, the client will need to sync all blocks that were made after the snapshot up to the current time. After syncing those blocks, the client will be ready to begin interacting with the NEM network.
This should minimize the amount of time it takes a fresh client to sync the full blockchain and get online.
A snapshot will be generated daily. When a new snapshot is confirmed by the blockchain, a special no-fee snapshot transaction will be sent to a special account. New clients can validate the most recent snapshot by using hash attached to the last transaction sent to the special account. Snapshots will be validated after 1440 confirmations.

Yes, but NXT community should realise this. Think they are jealous Quite a few people that are NEM stakeholders are also part of the NXT community in more or less important ways. At first NEM looked like a clone that was going to feed of NXTs success like a parasite. Unfortunately not many took a closer look to see what it really is. I think you can clearly see that 2Kewl hasn't taken much time to do research on NEM and therefore assumed it's just another clone. It's the same with people that hate on Ripple saying how centralized and crappy it is. Some people just take the easy way out and hate everything new that they don't know. |
