2641  Economy / Economics / Re: Unemplyment at least 50% how world will look like then ? on: July 06, 2022, 06:35:33 PM
Well, I work on contract in many African countries where the unemployment rate is above 25% .....and rising. The high unemployment rate has placed a huge burden on the employed people, because a large portion of the taxes that they are paying are going towards social grants to support the unemployed.

It is also creating a very high level of crime and corruption in those countries, so I reckon a 50% unemployment will have a devastating impact on the USA if that happens.  Shocked
2642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino can play a role in changing fortune? on: July 06, 2022, 01:15:50 PM
Well, with every 1 success story..come the story of millions of people who have lots everything and/or people who ruined their lives through gambling. Let's not forget for one moment that 1000s of people are losing money on gambling every day.... and that the losses of many are funding the wins of a few individuals.

I just hope that the big winners are "Paying it Forward" and that other people are benefiting from their wins. (Take the winnings... start small business and create employment opportunities)

Just a congrats on the launch of the new Stake original game ==> "Tome of Life"  Grin  .... I found it strange at the beginning, because I thought they spelled it wrong === Tome should be Tomb .... because I did not know that a "Tome" is also a "Book"  Roll Eyes

The House Edge of 2.16% is very good .... so they gave us an improved Slot with better animation and a very nice house edge. The Stake Original games have always lacked nice graphics .... but they are improving with every game now.  Wink
2644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally, I Bought Something With Full Payment In Bitcoin. on: July 06, 2022, 10:47:35 AM
What a great story! I have had several similar stories with hassles with my Bank and even some times where I had to resort to paying for food with Bitcoin when my Bank temporarily closed my account ===> because they found out that I was trading bitcoins via an exchange with my account. (early days)

Satoshi said it best in his "White Paper" ===> "Alternative payment option" ....so when other payment options fail you, you have something that you can fall back to.  Wink
2645  Other / Meta / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto is culturally forbidden from ever again using his own forum. on: July 06, 2022, 10:00:27 AM
I want to go into the motive for Satoshi to feel the need to return to this forum under a Alt coin. What will motivate him to create an Alt account to post "what" exactly? He in his own words said "that he moved on to other things" ....that to me imply that he wanted to end this "episode" in his life. (Close the book)

He also went into hiding, because he knew that the 3L3tter agencies will want to hunt him down.... and also greedy criminals and beggars that would want to get their hands on his money.

Satoshi created Bitcoin to serve the people and not himself.... and he stepped back into the shadows. He knows that there are VERY clever people out there that might be able to DoX him, so why risk all that for no motive to come back.  Huh
2646  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Introducing The Bitcoin Note: Physical Bitcoin that Looks and Feels Like Cash on: June 24, 2022, 07:38:09 AM
Something like this will certainly draw the attention of governments, because it closely resemble the "printing" of a currency. Now on the other hand, if you designed it more to resemble a "Gift card" .....it will be more acceptable to governments.

I know the ultimate goal with true Crypto enthusiast like us, is to use Bitcoin as a "Currency" and not as a "Commodity" .....but I think this is going to create a stir.

The laws and regulations in different countries differ, so I presume the target market for this is countries where Bitcoin are allowed as "Legal tender" ......and in countries where it is not allowed ===> Collectables? (Offline Cash is a bit controversial...right?)
2647  Economy / Economics / Re: Strong russia and china narrative vs weak usa but the thing is on: June 24, 2022, 06:43:37 AM
"As of March 31, 2022, there were 261 Chinese companies listed on these U.S. exchanges with a total market capitalization of $1.3 trillion. Eight of these companies are national-level state-owned enterprises (SOEs)." - Source : https://www.uscc.gov/research/chinese-companies-listed-major-us-stock-exchanges

Here is a list of them ==> https://www.uscc.gov/sites/default/files/2022-03/Chinese_Companies_on_US_Stock_Exchanges.pdf

General Motors
Spotify
Snapchat
Hilton Hotels
General Electric Appliance Division.

You will be very surprised when you dig a little deeper into the Chinese ownership of "things" in the USA .... so Wallstreet is not "owned" by the USA.  Wink
2648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 24, 2022, 06:26:29 AM
There is a difference between normal gamblers and "problem" gamblers, but it is very difficult to determine if the normal gambler is turning into a "problem" gambler. I will say, when you recruit or appoint somebody... do a proper background check on the financial position of that specific person... to determine what the risk might be.

If this person had a good job before and he has been "black listed" ....then I will be hesitant to appoint him, because gambling might be one of the reasons why he was in that position. (Also add a question in the application form that will ask if this person frequently gamble... if he or she says NO ..... and you find out later that he or she lied, then you can dismiss them)
2649  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Casinos Vs Ethereum Casinos on: June 24, 2022, 06:17:21 AM
The successful casinos are not concentrated on a single Alt coin or token, because they know they have to cater for a broad range of Crypto owners. The different Alt coins are used for different reasons, for example.... people will use "stable coins" ...if they want more stability in the price. (Your balance will not drop drastically with volatility) or they will use coins like Litecoin or TRX with faster confirmation times for their deposits.

There are reasons why you would want to use Ethereum for Smart contracts for specific types of casinos, but the most common practice is to cater for lots of Alt coins.  Wink
2650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why Bitcoin will never go to zero on: June 24, 2022, 05:53:41 AM
Have you ever noticed that when the Bitcoin price is low..... most media platforms will start spreading FUD and telling people that the heavens are going to fall..... and Bitcoin is going to zero.... but they hardly mention Bitcoin when there is a price spike.  Roll Eyes

This is "selective" reporting that are backed by a hidden agenda not to highlight Bitcoin's price when it is booming....and to do the opposite, when the price are crashing. (They say, good news does not sell papers.... but mainstream media are trying to manipulate the public, by just highlighting bad news about Bitcoin)  Angry
2651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Its One Too Many on: June 23, 2022, 01:14:12 PM
I think most people only start to take notice, when they "Google" a casino and scam accusations popup everywhere. The people already registered with the casino will probably not "Google" it, so they might never find out about it.

I think there are a general perception from most people that the complainants are "butthurt" gamblers that wants to find a way to lash out against the casinos, so they do not even bother reading the details.  Roll Eyes

I will read the detail, when I see a lot of evidence posted in the scam accusation section or a post on another platform.  Wink
2652  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will Investing Help the Economy of a Country on: June 23, 2022, 11:32:22 AM
So, I reckon .."English" is not your first language... right?

It is very difficult to understand if you are talking about investments in Crypto currencies or investments in general. If you are talking about investments in Crypto currencies... then I would say it will create a saving culture and also a trading culture under people who would not have done this. (Crypto trading is very easy, compared to other trading platforms)

If you are talking about capital investment into a country in general.... well, that should be quite obvious. Any capital investment into a country will strengthen their infrastructure or service delivery ....depending on where those funds are allocated.  Wink
2653  Economy / Gambling / Re: This is madness. Something super more than DeepSum on: June 23, 2022, 08:17:00 AM
I think this is a typical example of the "house edge" catching up to you... after a lot of bets. People tend to look at the short-term gains when they run bots, but if you look at the accumulated results after a load of bets, you soon realize that you are actually not beating the house.

I have run similar "tests" like this ...and the end result is always the same ==> The house win!   Good luck... no strategy have worked for me ... no matter what I try.  Roll Eyes
2654  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: June 23, 2022, 06:06:19 AM
I think one of my biggest surprises in this whole conflict between Russia and the Ukriane..was that India was so willing to throw the West under the bus.  Roll Eyes  They buy Russian Oil...refine it...and then sell it back to Europe.  Shocked

This action goes blatantly against the sanctions that are imposed against Russia and the rest of the world is simply ignoring it. It just shows how important "money" has become to the world. (The countries in Europe that are buying refined Oil from India, is just as guilty as China for doing this)  Angry
2655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China warns Bitcoin is heading to zero on: June 23, 2022, 05:44:01 AM
Why do they have to warn people, if they basically banned it? Is Bitcoin such a threat to their control over the Chinese citizens... that they have to resort to FUD to fool people? How desperate can a government be to lie to their own people....to manipulate them into believing that Bitcoin is bad?

I hope the majority of the Chinese citizens are not just sheep..... and that they can think for themselves. Even after the Chinese government "banned" Crypto mining.... almost nothing happened in the markets.
2656  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The logic behind betting bots on: June 22, 2022, 07:17:17 AM
My logic says... if you run multiple bots and you get bots on the one side that wins and bots on the other side that lose, it actually cancel each other out.. right? You might find that some might win today... but tomorrow those same bots will lose.

So you have to look at the bet result history of each individual bot over a long period, to see if your strategy has profited or not. My guess is that it will show that the "house edge" has cancelled all short-term profits and it only encouraged you to keep on gambling, so that the house edge could absorb those profits.  Roll Eyes

My strategy has always been..... try to hit the large Jackpot and then stop gambling. (Also make sure that the profit from that win, exceed the amount of money that I spend to get it... or it would have just been time and money wasted)

Most of all .... have fun doing it.... then you write off those losses as entertainment.  Grin
2657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on transgender only events? on: June 22, 2022, 07:01:24 AM
Let me put it to you in this way...

I will much rather bet on something where the odds are more fair, than betting on something where one of the athletes have some kind of advantage over another. The sporting organizations that makes the rules has banned all steroids that will boost an athletes testosterone levels, but some people seem to think that it is "fair" for transgender people to compete with natural higher testosterone levels.  Roll Eyes

I say.... make it a fair contest and I will support whatever Sport they play in. (No matter what sexual orientation they have)  Wink
2658  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: June 22, 2022, 05:51:55 AM
So is Stake not going to do something special for the signing of the sponsorship with Everton? You guys made a big thing over the signing with Watford, so the expectation will be that you are going to do something big for the Everton sponsorship too.  Roll Eyes

Today was a extra hard grind at Stake, so I do not know if they are feeding for a "Post Monthly" or something else. (hint hint)  Wink  In any way... whatever I receive, will be coming out of the losses I suffered today.  Tongue

Lol I think they hear your request try to check your email ''Post Monthly'' has been sent 30 minutes ago I think you have to do this more often come at the right time  Cheesy
But this time not in the context of celebrating Stake vs Everton but to promote  stake shop, ok if we win with this bonus then we have to order at least a product  Tongue

I do not think a post from me will influence any decision making within the Stake marketting team, but thank you for giving me some credit for that. Stake will make very calculated decisions to determine if they will give a bonus or not... and this will be decided by their profits and what the marketing team had conjured up in the back room.  Grin

The Post monthly will not be decided in 30 minutes after I made a post on this forum, because a lot of work goes into these "extra" bonuses.

In any way.. it does not matter who can be credited with this "gift" .....just Thank the Stake team in the chat and do not spend it all in 1 minute.  Wink
2659  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible that all cryptocurrency will become regulated? on: June 22, 2022, 05:38:26 AM

Top Democrat Seeks Probe on Use of Crypto in Retirement Accounts
- House Democrat asks watchdog for data on crypto in 401(k)s
- Lawmakers divided on how to regulate cryptocurrencies

House Ways and Means Chairman Richard Neal is asking a federal watchdog to scrutinize the emerging practice of retirement-savings programs offering cryptocurrency investments.

Neal, a Massachusetts Democrat, said in a letter to the Government Accountability Office that he’s worried about the lack of regulation for crypto investments, which could in turn harm retirees’ savings pools if they put money in such assets.

Referrence: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-06-15/top-democrat-seeks-probe-on-adding-crypto-to-retirement-accounts?srnd=cryptocurrencies-v2

According to my analysis,  Means chairman Richard Neal was a Democrat politician in a Federal showed concern for retiring employees though I'm not sure if I understand this correctly however, you are free to correct me just in case I am wrong. Retirees need to be careful to put their savings on cryptocurrency investors due to the lack of government regulation. And I think his request to the GAO to provide data to cryptocurrency employers so that it can be regulated where they are obliged to pay taxes to the government.

I also like to ask everyone of you here, where if you are in favor that all cryptocurrency
must be regulated under byt the government?

my opinion - If ever all cryptocurrency will become regulated, that means all crypto employers can able to contibute in the economy.
if that happens the economy of the country could also increase, although it will in control by the government.

Do you also think that all retirees savings are prohibited to invest in the cryptocurrency?

my opinion - Not all retirees are open minded into cryptocurrency, there are some of them have an idea about this industry of business.
so if I am one of the retiree and have an idea about in cryptocurrency, I maybe put some of the percentage of my retiree savings
where even I know there is risk, but it still fine due to I am willing to loss it if ever I encounter bad things happens in the market.

Which is more safe Regulated Cryptocurrency or not Regulated?

my opinion - whether cryptocurrency is regulated or not they have both advantages and disadvantages.
Though its another topic, and I don't want to elaborate that.

1. I am not too worried about "regulation" ...because I know, governments will not allow a competitor "currency" to function without regulations. (Bitcoin must get the same treatment than any other financial instrument)

2. The contribution in the global economy from a Bitcoin perspective, will be less exclusion to the financial system from poor people that are currently excluded from the Banking system.

3. I think every pensioner should have a balanced portfolio. A small portion of their savings must also be in Crypto currencies, because they want to benefit from a large spike in the Bitcoin price.. when it happens. (They should be restricted into investing in Shitcoins / NFTs ...and Ponzi schemes that are linked to Bitcoin payment)

4. Regulation of Crypto currencies will satisfy the government and also give people a false sense of security. (The will feel safe)
2660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Age of bitcoiners on: June 22, 2022, 05:27:41 AM
I think a lot of the Generation Z (Aged 10 to 25) are still too young to really grasp the concept of having money that are not controlled by any government. (Honestly, I do not know if they really care about that... )

The Millennials (Aged 26 – 41) and Generation X (Aged 42 – 57) on the other hand, has lived in a world where they have experienced the Banking crisis and all the wrong things that these Banks were doing, so they will understand what "evil" relationship there is between Banks and governments ....and how important "Bitcoin" is....as an alternative payment option. (Be your own Bank)
