I AM SORRY SIR. But i do not understand what shoulf i do now? If you explain me i will be greatful.
1) Stop using that word "sir".  You might intend it as a sign of respect, but on this forum it's a hallmark of a bounty hunter shitposter's vocabulary.

2) You might want to post in whatever local board you fit into, because your English makes your posts hard to read, and that's in addition to the lack of anything interesting in them (I looked at your post history before writing this).  You've been posting in Meta and Economics quite often, so that tells me you're actively merit-seeking.  I don't doubt that's exactly what you're doing, because:

Well, it is not only My most memorable day, also the most memorable thing in my life on this forum, was when I received my first merit from Indymoney Sir. I didn't know about merit. People say about quality posts, which I also didn't know. And that time, I replied to a post by Irfan_PAK10 Sir, and I got my first merit from Indymoney. I didn't know him. Now you know the best part.
Again, stop it with the "sir".

Other than that, just keep on doing what you were doing.
Maybe we see things differently, but if not, can't you be straight with the guy?

Edit:

"Keep on doing" as in "carry on as if you were not on the list" sir, not that I’ve looked into what he’s specifically posted.
LOL.  Gotcha.
2642  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone offers MERIT in the bounty community group on: October 01, 2021, 09:36:09 AM
It's not against the rules, but there is whole new business created around abusing and selling merits in telegram, fiverr, playerup and similar publicly available websites, and that is not exactly what we could call a black markets.
Are you seeing a new market for merits?  I ask that because I've heard of merits being sold on telegram for quite a while now--but I don't visit any of those sites you mentioned, so I wouldn't be up-to-date on any boom in the merit sales market if there was one.

And if that's the case--that there's currently a lot of merit being sold--I wonder why that is.  Are there currently a lot more signature campaigns than there have been in the past couple of years or so?  I think I've asked that recently, and I don't think there are.  Bounties, maybe, but not sig campaigns.

I remember few years ago someone reported trade involving merits and sexual favors, now that is a dirty market  Shocked
Ah, I remember that as well, but I'm pretty sure it was a joke.

This is the stupidest way that you can offer someone a merit, offering them in the Telegram group full of people that are from the forum and knows that it's forbidden to sell or do any kind of monetary favor to get merits. Good thing that this guy got done in by you good people.
Yeah well, people who sell accounts or merits have proven that they aren't always the brightest bulbs in the box.  Some of them kept creating account sales threads right on the forum after it was common knowledge that they'd get their accounts tagged by DT members.
2643  Economy / Economics / Re: How Bots Brought Bitcoin up from $150 to $1000 on: September 30, 2021, 11:34:13 PM
The infamous Mark Karpeles made a bugged php script and sent 2 609 BTC to broken address. As you can see below, one of these address start with "s-" but regular bitcoin address start with "1","3" or "bc1" :
https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/address/s-272edf45031dd498e7b3ae89e11ff21b
(more info here)

Whether he was a good or bad coder. He didn't update or maintain MtGox regularly. When hackers stole millions in BTC from MtGox. The theft went undetected for months.

He never invested time or energy into the infrastructure side of the exchange. He was always way behind. Even on basic upkeep, backing up data and maintenance.
Well, shoot....I never said he was a perfect coder or couldn't make mistakes.  And yes, I agree with everything you wrote about him being a sloth (and also a control freak from what I've read).  If I'm not mistaken, he didn't let the small staff of Mt. Gox do much of anything, certainly not much of importance.

Karpeles also didn't create the exchange, which I'm sure you know.  He probably thought it was just fine when he took possession of it and continued to pay attention to his cat and manga and Mt. Gox's coffee shop rather than security and everything else that goes into running an online exchange.
2644  Economy / Economics / Re: How Bots Brought Bitcoin up from $150 to $1000 on: September 30, 2021, 10:38:10 PM
OP, is this going to be your tactic on the forum--posting a link and making a one-sentence comment on it?  I gave you a merit for the NFT thread, but I think that's going to be it if this is what you're going to do.  The article you linked to is from 2019 and is old news--very old news, and I'm sure a lot of members here already know the story behind Mt. Gox.  I certainly was familiar with the bot thing.

MtGox was poorly maintained and poorly secured. It lacked competent developers or financial support. I doubt they had the financial or technical base to pull off a bot based pump of anything.
Mark Karpeles isn't a stupid person, and he's an excellent coder from what I've read.  He could have easily been behind the bot all by himself, and I wouldn't put it past him to pull that kind of crap.  You're right about the poor maintenance and security and development.  I was just getting interested in bitcoin when Mt. Gox was imploding, and I never visited their website.  Now I kind of wish I had, just to see what it was like.

It's amazing that they were the exchange back in 2013.  It's also amazing that you had to wire them money for deposits and that it could take weeks to create an account.  I'm reading Bitcoin Billionaires, and it's an excellent account of the early days of bitcoin.

2645  Economy / Economics / Re: The $69m NFT buyer & seller were partners on: September 30, 2021, 10:28:39 PM
Just like with paintings, you buy a picture worth 1 million knowing that others have sold for billions in total and then you receive the news that actually you're the only person who has bought one for real, the others being fake and nobody besides you has ever b paid real money for a painting of that artist. And that all of them are actually worth their value as doormats.
Heh heh.  That would be an eye-opener for sure.

I'm glad I'm not the only one here who thinks the emperor isn't wearing any clothes.  Right after learning about what NFTs are, the immediate thought I had was that these things are complete and utter wastes of money--it's like investing in digital comic books or baseball cards.  Even if these works of art are unique on a blockchain, they're still digital.  If you want to hang them on your wall, you'd have to print them out, which is basically something anyone could do.  So what's the point of owning them, much less paying these outrageous prices.

The only stuff I could find on Youtube about NFTs are hype videos, and I didn't have the patience to scroll through search results long enough to find any that were truly skeptical of them.  It's amazing, really amazing, how stupid people can be.

Oh yeah, it's also not surprising they're a vehicle for money laundering.  I never suspected that was going on, but it would account for the prices some of these turds are selling for.
2646  Economy / Reputation / Re: Nutildah's bounty cheaters & ban evaders thread on: September 30, 2021, 03:27:56 PM
i can imagine how the accounts farmers office would look like.  Tongue
Actually, it would look very much like this:

Another hysteria from the buyer of the merits of the well-known seller Qunenin. As the saying goes, "money down the drain"
As expected, the merit he sold was of no use.
And so it goes.  It always brings a little smile to my face when that money used to buy accounts or merits goes straight down the drain when an account gets banned or megatagged by DT members.  Glee.
2647  Other / Meta / Re: How can i unbanned my account? on: September 30, 2021, 03:13:35 PM
But i think ban evasion is Normal. I had no idea.
You thought evading a ban was normal??  Give me a break; you're lying so hard I can feel the slime through my mouse.  When would it ever be normal to evade any rule or the consequences of breaking a rule?

Actually i don't know what should i do.
How about getting lost?  How about never coming back to bitcointalk for as long as you live?  Those are the two best options I can think of off the top of my head, and they're really your only ones since you're not allowed to create a new account to post with after you've been permabanned.

Have any chance back my account?
Though I'm not a moderator, I know the answer to this one: none.  No chance.  So lock this thread and forget about bitcointalk.  See ya.

You guys always take action about littler bounty hunters. A lot of bounty manager stolen hunters money, then you can't caught them.

Here have any section Where i apply for come with new account?
You've got to be a teenager to use that kind of argument on a forum that should be full of adults.  In addition it shows that you know nothing about what's allowed here and what's not.  And get this through your head: you can't start over with a new account.
2648  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTCPOP.CO BLATENT THEIVERY - DO NOT TRUST THIS SITE on: September 30, 2021, 02:55:38 PM
And despite all of these scam accusations, this exchange is still in business (as far as I know).  Amazing.  I used them one time to buy Curecoin if I'm not mistaken, and though I didn't get scammed I was very unsatisfied with the price I got (which wasn't their fault).  I never used BTCPop again.  Looking back, I think I'm lucky they didn't scam me outright.

Did this thread need to be bumped, by the way?  yhanger01 isn't adding to the scam claims here, just relating an experience he had from who knows when.  Did that happen recently, yhanger01?
2649  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Alpha Incomes cloud mining Ponzi Scheme. on: September 30, 2021, 02:41:57 PM
I guess "rug pull" is the new buzz phrase everyone is using.  It'll be burned out within a few months, just like "mic drop".  You can always tell who the Youtube trend followers are by the words they use.

Nonetheless, this is definitely a Ponzi.  I don't know of any coin you could mine that would guarantee (which is what that site is doing) those kinds of returns, so there's nothing else to call it.

But OP, members here are well aware of the shady nature of cloud mining schemes, and this Alpha Incomes site isn't advertising on bitcointalk, so why the warning?  The only thing you're doing is giving them advertising, albeit bad advertising.  There might be suckers here who see this thread and decide they might want to try their luck.  I'd understand if they had an ANN thread or something, but they don't.
2650  Economy / Economics / Re: US with problems to raise the debt ceiling... again on: September 30, 2021, 01:11:56 AM
On the bright side, if a shutdown occurs, they can't vote on or pass the infrastructure bill containing crypto regulation (which many disapprove of).
I thought they already voted and passed it.  Did they not?  I'm certainly against that bill, and I contacted my senators about a month ago and voiced my opinion on it.  My state is blue, so I'm not keeping my hopes up if indeed they haven't voted on it yet.

There are a variety of temporary measures they can enact to free up some more money to continue to pay their expenditures for a short period of time, in the range of a month or two, but once these run out, the government essentially defaults on its debt. It's unclear exactly what would happen here, but it would likely involve huge cuts across the board in everything from healthcare to education, salaries not being paid, millions of jobs losses, and a huge financial crisis.
And it's amazing that this would follow all the money printing and stimulus and unemployment benefits--basically the government creating money and giving it away like it was cheap candy.  I have no idea what the morons in the government are going to do, but frankly I'd rather just take the consequences sooner rather than later.  All they've been doing for years is kicking the can down the road, and they can't keep doing that indefinitely.

Which wallet did you used?
This is explained in the OP.

Quote
You must contact the exchange where you are using and want to restore your account. It used to take time. Because your complaint will go into the queue. But, usually it will still be processed and you will get your account back.
This dude is talking about contacting the support of "the exchange" he used to help in the restoration of his account.
Those kinds of posts drive me nuts, and I put both of those members on ignore.  One of them is even a Sr. Member from 2015, and taking a look at his post history, he has a habit of posting absolute crap.  He probably could have become a Legendary member had he just posted more after he registered, in which case he'd be an exception to the "rule" being discussed in this thread.

There are far fewer newbies to the forum than alternative accounts. If you have "checked" my story, you will easily be convinced of this.
I totally believe that, and I think that's been the case for a long time now--with the exception of 2017, perhaps.  There was a large influx of new members because of bitcoin rising in price so fast, and many of those accounts have become dormant since then.
2652  Other / Meta / Re: Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny on: September 29, 2021, 08:45:36 PM
Bitcoin's real name is satoshi nakamoto. But it is called Bitcoin because there was proof of work money and it is recorded on paper it was one coin of gold. That's why its called Bitcoin
<snip>
That's pretty bad, and I've seen some very ignorant, awful posts in my time on this forum.  By the way, that post appears to have been deleted--for the best, since it's nothing but idiotic falsehood dressed up as a contribution to bitcointalk.  I think I'm going to take a look at that member's post history to see what other kinds of nonsense he's posted.
2653  Economy / Economics / Re: How would the ecosystem change if the fees came back to the user after 1 year? on: September 29, 2021, 05:41:27 PM
Then how will miners be incentivized to secure the network? Let’s not forget that most if not all miners conduct mining operations simply because they can earn a living off it.
Yeah, that's probably the strongest argument against OP's idea.  But let's say he wasn't talking about bitcoin, but some new altcoin.  If fees were frozen for a year, and assuming this was a coin with a large transaction volume there would have to be a lot of coins in existence, since all those fees would be locked up for what amounts to a very long period of time (unless the standard fee was very low).  That was my first thought, but I might be modeling it wrong in my head.

In any case, what OP suggested would never be implemented for bitcoin, because nobody would go for it.  I'm also pretty sure the idea has been thought of before and that there's a reason why altcoins haven't adopted a system like that.
2654  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Bitcoin ETFs really important? on: September 29, 2021, 03:24:36 PM
I like Carvalho's tweet "Abstract Bitcoin exposure is not an accomplishment".  That's true for individual bitcoin investors/owners, no doubt--the whole point of bitcoin is to have total control over your own money, right?

But for big institutions that want to invest in bitcoin and can't because they have so much money that buying it in huge amounts would either move the market or paint themselves into a corner (or both), ETFs can definitely be useful.  On the other hand, there are already bitcoin derivatives that those institutions could trade and get basically similar "bitcoin exposure", though I think an ETF would be a better vehicle for them.

Personally, I don't care if the SEC or whoever ever approves bitcoin ETFs, because I'd never invest in one.  Let the large investment banks, hedge funds, and all the rest of the big-money investors worry about its existence.  I'm going to remain content that bitcoin simply exists.
2655  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Ranking-up pipeline- Those close to their next rank (lacking Merits) on: September 29, 2021, 02:19:14 PM
You're just a few steps away from achieving a legendary rank (17) merits less
It's actually 77 merits he needs to get to 1000.  I plan on helping him get to Legendary by the end of the year, which shouldn't be a problem as long as I remember to look at his post history again in the next two months--and it wouldn't hurt if others sent him some merits as well.
2656  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Emiswap holding my tokens hostage and trying to extort me on: September 29, 2021, 02:11:07 PM
Their token contract has a blacklist and they can just add your address to prevent you from ever trading it again. I call that a scam.
Holy shit, that's an absolutely horrible thing to do in the world of crypto--seriously.  This is supposed to be a decentralized exchange?  Yeah, I'd call it a scam too.  I missed this thread when Plastick started it, but I'm finding it intriguing now that I'm reading through it.

I have 2 years to file a lawsuit against the main dev. In the USA if the defendant doesn't show up for court you win by default and have a judgement against you. This would mean no more crypto conferences in the USA for him unless he wants to be arrested at the airport.
That might be true, but I wouldn't count on such efficient enforcement of the law if I were you, but I'd file the lawsuit anyway.  You got scammed, and if you don't mind making all of this information public (and I mean very public; the US government would know what you're involved with) it's the right thing to do.  I'm not familiar with Emiswap or their token.  Is there a lot of money involved here?  I'll understand if you don't want to answer that.

Their token value just keeps dropping because of the crap they are doing to people. They are offering no services to anyone, just a money grab.
What's the ticker symbol of the token?  I want to look it up on coinmarketcap if it's there. **Edit: Is it ESW by any chance?**
2657  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nitrobetting false multiaccounting ACCUSATIONS - Bs’ing me hard on: September 29, 2021, 01:20:57 AM
How you ignored the warnings and continued using the site is beyond my understanding.
OP registered in 2019 but hasn't exactly been very active on the forum since then (unless he has alt accounts), so it's entirely reasonable that he never saw the prior scam accusations against NitrogenSports and certainly could have missed the feedback on their profile if he wasn't looking for it.  Plus it sounds like he never had a problem with them before and is only now getting accused of multiaccounting.

These sites that either don't let you use VPNs or don't understand that different people might end up with the same IP address because they're using them drives me nuts.  Even Amazon sometimes won't let you use a VPN to watch their Prime videos even if you're a paying member.

Hopefully you can talk some sense into NitrogenSports, OP.  30mBTC (I hate that unit, by the way) sounds like it's a lot of bitcoin to you, and they shouldn't be able to lock it up over an issue like this.
2658  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Ranking-up pipeline- Those close to their next rank (lacking Merits) on: September 28, 2021, 10:17:03 PM
By the way, I think you confused me with someone because I haven't sent you PM for a long time, (but I think somehow I will use your offer).
LOL.  Yes, I did get you confused with someone else--sorry about that.  I meant what I said about you deserving the merits, of course (else I wouldn't have merited those posts), but I had a brain fart and forgot that I took a look at your profile based on this thread and not a PM.  I did just tell another member to get back to me in a month via PM, and my brain is tired and caffeine-deprived.  Eeek.

I'm only need 120 merit away from Legendary rank as all other conditions seem to have been met at this point and I'm still trying to figure out the best form for every post I make. Hopefully I can achieve it before this year ends and be the most beautiful gift for 2021.
I'll help you out the best I can.  Too bad the limit is only 50 merits/month, though.  Sometimes I wish it were higher than that.

Edit: Check your merit count now, ShowOff.
2659  Economy / Economics / Re: Where will people save money- A report by Prothomalo on: September 28, 2021, 09:42:32 PM
Interest rates in Bank in Bangladesh is below 5% now. In some Banks, it's 2%.
Holy cow!  Are you telling me deposit interest rates at banks in Bangladesh are that high?  In the US if you start a savings account at pretty much any bank, interest rates are near zero.  Less than 1%, anyway, and it's been that way for years because the Fed has kept interest rates at rock bottom levels.  That's why smart folks put their excess money into the stock market or crypto or anything else that has a chance of beating inflation.

Shoot, if I could open a bank account in Bangladesh and earn anywhere near 7% I'd jump at the chance--if I had extra money, that is.  But if your inflation rate is near 5% and interest rates are dropping below that, then yes, I'd consider other forms of investment.  If you keep your money in a bank (checking accounts excluded), you'll basically be losing money.

It's amazing that there are PoS cryptocurrencies that can earn you 10% or more per year, and I've heard of people investing in DeFi projects that earn far more than that.

I am more interested in the subject rather than the OP, and worst, I couldn't in a thousand year have written that... such cumulative knowledge on covid, beautiful Smiley.
I stopped reading it after about 45 seconds, when I realized that post was just going to go on and on from one different gripe to another--and from what little I did read, I can't say I would completely disagree with it.

My question is: what exactly happened?  Did that post get deleted from P&S and are you questioning whether the moderator for that board should be replaced because of it?  I just want to be clear, since you didn't spell it out in the OP.  If it got deleted (which I assume is the case), what was the topic of the thread it was in?  Could it have been off-topic?

I don't even know who the mod is for that section.  It's not Flying Hellfish, right?
