2641  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Transaction Accelerator on: July 16, 2020, 03:13:20 PM

I also saw this viabtc bitcoin transaction accelerator before and recently I just tried it and not working. It says that something like service is not available at the moment.
When I am trying to do some acceleration in my some bitcoin transaction, all of them are failed using viabtc, I think that service of transaction accelerator is not working anymore?

Because the service has a limit of 100 transactions per hour, and seeing how the service is popular you can guess everyone is constantly trying. Not even talking about people who automate it with bots/scripts to be sure to be the first.

I never managed to be in so stopped to try. 100 TXs/hour is like saying "Hey, I have 2 masks for the whole country" Roll Eyes
And when they will be tired to be abused they will probably close the service. (reducing to 100/h was already a sign)

@pooya87 post is right by the way
2642  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 2020 List Bitcoin Mixers Bitcoin Tumblers Websites on: July 16, 2020, 02:22:53 PM
Anyone know a reliable BCH mixer, or are all BTC mixers? Can't find any with quick googling.

Sorry I don't, all the ones I know are either closed or scams (i.e. bestmixer, coinmix.to, etc).

I may be wrong but Electron Cash has a coinshuffle feature, an implementation of Coinjoin to mix several transactions but without a 3rd party (see here about CoinShuffle). I think there is even a wallet called "Coinshuffle" but think about doing your own research because I'm not Bcash fan and don't really know the wallet

Edit:
- the coinshuffle feature with Electron cash https://news.bitcoin.com/how-to-shuffle-your-bch-coins-like-a-boss/
- the wallet is called cashshuffle not coinshuffle https://cashshuffle.com/

2644  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Can anyone find a problem in this ANN, MASSIVE BREAKTHROUGH-BIRTH OF PRIVACY on: July 15, 2020, 09:28:21 PM
In the thread itself? Yes, it's full of shit accounts.

From users joining to make 2-3 posts in the thread only, to users coming back after ~10 months to make 26 posts in the same thread. Or the one coming back from 2018, just for Zorro coin (the name is funny btw, I even started to sing the song).

There are 5-6 accounts feeling the topic with a lot of shits. It looks like several posts have deleted before but they seem to continue their trash. I don't even need to visit the website, it must be the same quality as their ANN thread

Edit:
OK, I couldn't resist visiting the website and started to read the WP, saying to myself "hummm.. very similar"

Inspired by the Blockchain architecture and the existing Merkle tree-based signature scheme, we
have proposed BPQS, a scalable post-quantum (PQ) resistance digital signature scheme, which is
most suitable for Blockchain and Distributed ledger technology (DLT). A unique feature of this
protocol is that it can use a dedicated chain or image structure to reduce the cost of key generation,
signing, verification, and the size of the signature. Compared with other recent improvements, when
a key is used for a reasonable number of signatures, BPQS is better than existing hash algorithms.
If necessary, it also supports a rollback mechanism that allows unlimited number of signatures. We
provide a specific open source implementation of the protocol, and benchmark it.
The latest developments in the field of quantum computing and its threat to classical cryptography
have stimulated more interest in post-quantum research

Compared to recent improvements in the field, BPQS outperforms existing hash-based algorithms when a key is reused for reasonable numbers of signatures, while it supports a fallback mechanism to allow for a practically unlimited number of signatures if required. We provide an open source implementation of the scheme and benchmark it.

2646  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: July 15, 2020, 08:06:00 PM
Did anyone had any issues with Bitcoins that you sent to exchanges after mixing coins with ChipMixer,
and do you have any suggestions about this and advice for reducing this (excluding not using centralized exchanges Wink)?

From my experience, never I got trouble and did it more than 1 time.
As for the suggestion: making fake transactions. I mean to send bitcoins to yourself to create transaction history (since they scan the lastest transactions). If you add a dozen of "hops" you can be pretty sure to be fine (from centralized exchanges at least)

Congratz @The Pharmacist you're not BTM virgin anymore  Cheesy Coincloud has one of the higher fees btw.
@o_e_l_e_o with this issuer the limit is up to $2000 you need a phone number. For anything above (and up to $10k per day) you need to scan your ID. To compare, with Shitcoins.club they can buy up to €10k without ID

Damn it  Roll Eyes I waited for him 8 hours to receive from him a gift card used, after all, he said "sorry"  Undecided

Excuse me but =>  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
He was polite enough to say sorry.... Cheesy

That's the problem when you see a gift card with a discount. And bigger the discount more suspect it is.

Localcryptos may be an alternative for you? There is no verification needed there and looking at the offers I see a few with Amazon
https://localbitcoins.com/instant-bitcoins/?action=sell&amount=&currency=EUR&country_code=FR&online_provider=OTHER&find-offers=Rechercher
https://localcryptos.com/fr/Bitcoin/United_States/Gift_card/Sell

I even see an offer with a discount of 15% below the market and the sellers has thousands of trades
https://localcryptos.com/fr/offer/5Y1BHrDaLuT8ib5wuJtrSf/Vendre-BTC/Reyfollador/Carte-Cadeau

As for the user suggesting Bisq, there is no Amazon gift cards option https://bisq.network/fr/faq/#supported-payment-methods

L'autre qui annonçait y'a 3-4 jours: "I am so excited. I love beta testing products..." je sais pas si les gens se rappellent que la phase beta a commencé il y a 4 mois de cela. La, on dirait qu'ils ont découvert un trésor lol
2650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is your Bitcoin address known to surveillance? on: July 15, 2020, 02:48:58 PM
The website does nothing more than aggregating data publicly available to anyone. If someone thinks it will tell you if the USA is watching you, nope. It simply uses different block explorersand web crawlers with basic privacy observation like Esplora, KYCP, Checkbitcoinaddress.com,...

Saying if an address is "known to surveillance" is also the same for the average Joe
2651  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Why users are always accused for the vulnerability of Electrum? on: July 14, 2020, 07:45:22 PM
When using such software it is also the user's responsibility to keep up to date with it. Especially since we're talking about money it should be something natural from the user. It's not as if you were installing CCleaner.

Vulnerability mostly come from user's faults:
- Don't backup their seeds.
- Don't secure backup well.
- Don't set up a password for their wallet or use too bad/ weak password.
- Don't verify wallet
- and so forth.

It's not what we call a vulnerability, vulnerability is when someone finds a way to compromise a code/system due to coding/programming errors, software flaws, or whatever...

What you describe is the habit problems from users

2653  Economy / Economics / Re: Privacy Coins and The Shadow Economy on: July 13, 2020, 09:37:51 PM
@beerlover

I call this a fake problem. Despite all the AML regulations we have, it doesn't stop the pedos. Currently, banknotes are perhaps the best way to stay under the radar, governments will never ban to use banknotes. (That's also perhaps one of the reasons governments are looking into CBDCs).
It's impossible, for many reasons (unbanked/debunked people, seniors, and so on)

What could they do with privacy-centric cryptocurrencies? At best they could force exchange platforms to not list any coins, the same for marketplaces, anything run by a company that abides by the laws. Other than that? They won't be able to stop people to download a wallet and trade with someone P2P.

They all do that otherwise, they wouldn't be able to scam or just peanuts.

Did you request a refund? No man, he just contacted him to see if they can drink the coffee together and he joined the forum to see how is the weather.

it would be good to remove this mixer from the list of work services. I found it on that list and I don't want other people to lose their coins either.

Removed, let me know if he gives back your coins. Thxs
2655  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Who acquired Purse.io? on: July 13, 2020, 06:45:01 PM
From what I'd read about it in the news and from a video I watched from R Ver at that time, he didn't acquire Purse.io. (at least it was the conclusion to me). He certainly invested money, I don't know under what condition, but he doesn't own it and doesn't have a majority in the shares...

I suppose he invested in just enough to let the company running and force it to add Btrash  as a condition to get his money

Update :

2658  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano help? on: July 12, 2020, 08:16:04 PM
Does anyone know if Ledger will bring back all the currency support they use to have? I live in Australia and they use to have an AUD option (amongst many others) but it randomly disappeared one day. I contacted Ledger directly, but support said said something like they were having trouble with the 3rd party they use for currency conversions and are looking for a fix. It has been months now... Using USD is getting frustrating!
Come on Ledger.. all your competitors have AUD!!
Anyone know any update on this sort of thing??
Cheers.

What about using the Singapore Dollar? It has a rate very close to AUD. I know it's not a complete solution, but it can maybe used. There is a difference of only 1 or 2% between both.

No one can give you any indication here.
